Where do you go for a pre-match pint? If you're one of the Fratton Park faithful supporting Championship-bound Portsmouth, there's a strong chance you've frequented the excellent taproom on offer by the good folk at Staggeringly Good Brewery. On matchday they often welcome no fewer than 1,000 footy fans to their superb spot that's only a stone's throw from the famous football ground. So whether you're in the market for their Beerbasol Pilsner Lager, Little Arms Big Ambitions NEIPA or perhaps a Megalodawn Breakfast Coffee Stout, they've got you covered. Founded by Joe Ross and Jon Chapman in 2015, the brewery continues to make a wealth of excellent beers enjoyed across the UK and beyond. But for the full Staggeringly Good experience, a visit to their brewery and taproom is a must. In this episode, we speak to Joe about the brewery's journey over the last eight years, their commitment to brewing beers from across the style spectrum, the role the business plays in the local community and why fans of live music, comedy and, of course, wrestling have a place to call their own at Staggeringly Good brewery.

National Robotics Week is happening next month--and you're invited! Virtual and onsite events are happening in all fifty states. Free, downloadable resources are available. And if you'd like to host an event of your own--you certainly can! And as iRobot STEM Program Manager Lisa Freed says, these events are for everyone. In 2010. the U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution, which officially designated the second full week of April National Robotics Week. National Robotics Week has a twofold mission: both to inspire students to pursue robotics and STEM-related careers, and to allow participants of all ages to celebrate the excitement of robotics. In other words, everybody's welcome. And getting involved, is all about what you love. As you'll hear in our interview, robotics involves art, writing and numerous other skills, including public speaking. Would you like another cool, robotic resource? iRobot, which is the founder and organizer of National Robotics Week, is the creator of the Root® Coding Robot. And they offer free coding lessons on their website--no purchase necessary! On this edition of Over Coffee®, we cover: Lisa's experiences with National Robotics week, on staff with iRobot; Some of the events that will be happening, for National Robotics Week, 2022; How to celebrate robots, if you're not a "technical" person; A closer look at one of the free (downloadable!) resources available for National Robotics Week; Some tips on photographing robots!; Where to start, if you're creating an event for the first time, for National Robotics Week; How to participate, if you're dealing with limited resources (and here's a great nonprofit resource for educators, which Lisa mentioned and with which we weren't familiar before: The Clubhouse Network!) One of Lisa's favorite recent outreach experiences with middle-school students (which empowered them with skills beyond robotics!) A more results-oriented perspective on encouraging more girls and women to consider careers in STEM; How and why arts skills are essential, in robotics; And, how to request a virtual tour of the iRobot Museum--courtesy of Lisa and a robot! National Robotics Week, 2022, happens April 2-10. You're invited! Here's the link, with lots of resources, including free downloadable templates and a list of events happening in all 50 states.
Over Coffee® is on holiday hiatus. Please enjoy this reposting of one of our top podcast episodes of 2021! "There aren't any of those," wasn't acceptable to Unified Robotics founder Delaney Foster. A passionate FIRST Robotics competitor, Delaney loved participating in her high-school robotics program. But for her sister, who has autism, those opportunities just weren't available. And then, Delaney took action. In 2015, she collaborated with her First Robotics team and a special-education teacher to founded her first-of-its-kind robotics program, open to students of all abilities. Pairing robotics-team members with students with special needs, this groundbreaking program gets everyone working together to create a LEGO Mindstorms robot. Like FIRST Robotics, this pilot program had a deadline. Six weeks later, those robots would “face off” in a competition of their own. Fast forward to today. Currently, the Unified Robotics program has seen more than 120 participating teams. More than 400 students have been impacted, according to Unified Robotics' website. And since their second year in operation, Special Olympics have been partnering with this unique program. Delaney shared the story of the Unified Robotics program, discussed about some of her favorite experiences and explained what's involved, for anyone who would like to start a Unified Robotics program locally. On this edition of Over Coffee®, we cover: How Delaney first discovered her passion for robotics; The story of Unified Robotics; How robotics-team students learned from their counterparts with special needs, while working together; Delaney's favorite memories, from the first Unified Robotics competition; How the Special Olympics became involved, as a partner; The directions in which the program has grown, so far; Plans for the upcoming school year; What's involved, for education professionals who would like to bring a Unified Robotics club to their school; How Unified Robotics and their partners assist schools in starting a club; What parents can expect, when their students participate in the program; How the program's flexibility works for students with a wide range of abilities; What the program needs most in achieving its ultimate goals; How the Unified Robotics program inspired Delaney's sister, as well as other students with special needs; An imaginative way in which a robotics student mentor engaged Delaney's sister in overcoming an obstacle; The ways in which tech companies are beginning to make job opportunities available to applicants with different abilities.

Note: There are a few connection glitches in this recording. Hopefully, it won’t affect your enjoyment too much. Racism and refugees with Nathaniel Jennings Nathaniel, Area Mobiliser for OMF International, has worked alongside Embrace NI “a group of Christians working together to promote positive responses to people seeking asylum, refugees, migrant workers and people from minority ethnic backgrounds in Northern Ireland.” We’ve come a long way as a society in tackling racism, but sadly it still exists – quite often in “covert” forms. Nathaniel opens up about his own experiences, and what changes he’s seen in his 10 years living in Northern Ireland. As a Christian, Nathaniel’s interested in how the church, in particular, can constructively talk about topics of race, including BLM, immigration and diversity as well as work to eradicate racist attitudes. https://grace-community.church/programme/everyone-welcome

Everyone is invited to all episodes. There is truth we aren’t being told, especially about upcoming planetary events. My recent black news shows are to help Melanated people who have no clue, prepare for the physical changes. Everyone has melanin. There are different types and different amounts. Everyone needs to hear what we aren’t being told by msm. I feel that the more we know and understand real biology, DNA and history, the more False flags and Psyops can be diffused. I truly believe dialogue is key to understanding how others think and feel. Not having certain conversations at this point is more deleterious than having disagreements. Kaila

Most fish keepers and most people in general think that there are only 2 types of water systems and aquariums. They will say that there is freshwater (which has no salt) and saltwater. But, did you know that there is something in between freshwater and saltwater??! Yes there is. It is called Brackish Water. Brackish water is a mixture of saltwater with freshwater. It's only a little bit of salt which results in a low salinity of about 1.010 or less. Brackish water lakes and rivers house some interesting species. You never know what fish or animals you will see when an ocean meets a lake! Archer fish will be sitting at the surface waiting for insects to perch. Monos and scats will be schooling down below. Pufferfish glide by. Did you know you as an aquarium hobbyist can recreate this natural piece of history and art at home? Fibromyalgia: The mystery may be solved. It is all in your head, the medical profession claimed. It only happens to hysterical, out-of-control, hypochondriacs. The people feeling the pain knew better; and as their numbers grew, the physicians and drug companies finally were forced to take notice. The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology recently conducted a study of fibromyalgia pain sufferers and may have discovered the root cause of muscle and joint pain. We are going to be doing an open house – EVERYONE WELCOME – to demonstrate one of our newest softwares. Join us on line to watch or participate. We will be providing the Fibromyalgia software to organizations who wish to evaluate their members. Don’t put-up with the pain, fatigue, stiffness, emotional turmoil and the brain fog of Fibromyalgia. Help bring BioAcoustic information and software to your community.
