He has a rich background in West End productions such as Kiss of the Spider Woman, Blitz and Forever Plaid, as well as the lead roles in the UK National tour of Godspell and the German production of Starlight Express.Upon relocating to Orlando, Florida, George served as the Director of Production at The Holy Land Experience, where he collaborated with Jonathan on various projects, including the conceptual concert of The Last Adam. Together, they embody the essence of George's dream to make a lasting impact through innovative musical theatre. The Last Adam: A new musical is a reimagined story of Jesus for today's generation. No sugarcoating here—our characters are flawed, messy, and searching for truth, just like us. But through their journey, discover forgiveness, restoration, and unyielding hope. Join us for an unforgettable exploration of humanity's darkest times, illuminated by the enduring light within.
Ken and Mike review some of the key elements from season 4's look at the Life and Times of David. They discuss David's faith; how he's a man after God's own heart; what we can learn from his intimacy with God; the significance of shepherding in these accounts of David's life; how David served God in his generation; and how he modeled for all of us the way to grow. The guys help translate what we've learned about David into our own lives. Also, the demolition of the Holy Land Experience brought sadness, but there may be hope on the horizon! And a listener asks, what are the plans for season 5 of Jesus Changes People?Passages: 1 Samuel 16:1-13, 2 Samuel 11-12, 1 Samuel 17, Psalm 51, 1 Chronicles 22, 28

What can we learn from a passage in a letter addressing slaves and masters? We don't have those conditions today. Well, actually a lot. We must contextualize Paul's writing and then bring it forward to the present. When we do, we see there's much that can be applied to our work environments. Join Ken and Mike as they discuss work relationships and how people changed by Jesus can change society. Also, the Holy Land Experience is back in the Did You Know segment. What could have landed it a second appearance?Passage: Colossians 3:22-4:1

When The Saints Come Marching In! And that's exactly what we see happen in Revelation 20: six times in 7 verses, six times in 233 words, it refers to Christ's upcoming 1,000 year reign on earth. Read Revelation 20:1-6 When the Saints Come Marching In! Let's Pray! The Word Millennium comes from two Latin words: “Milli” means a thousand and “annum” means year. Millennium means a thousand years. The Three Main Millennial Views: 1. The Amillennial view – There is NO 1,000 year reign of Christ in earth. 2. The Postmillennial view – Jesus' 2nd Coming is AFTER the “millennium.” 3. The Premillennial view – The millennium is AFTER the 2nd Coming. Turn to Acts 1:6-8. In Acts 1:6-8 Jesus affirms two things: there is a time coming in the future set to restore the Kingdom to Israel (in fulfillment of Old Testament promises), and that in the mean-time His disciples are to be witnesses (the church age). The Two Great Truths for Earth During the Millennium: 1. Satan won't be around! V. 1-3 2. Jesus will be on earth during the millennium! V. 4-6 I think it is God's plan to bring the saints of all time together during this millennium in preparation for eternity together. We will all experience 1,000 year ‘Holy Land Experience.' Isaiah 2:1-4 tells us earth will flourish with the knowledge of Jesus during this time, and people will stream from the nations to worship Jesus in Jerusalem! Jesus will settle any disputes among the nations and there won't be any war.
During this Holy Week, as we reflect on Jesus' Passion, Death and Resurrection, we are reminded of the sites in Jerusalem where pilgrims still venerate these events today. Join Katie Bredemann as she welcomes Reverend Edward Harnett, who has led twelve trips to the Holy Land and studied biblical history extensively. Through a virtual Holy Land experience, Fr. Harnett will help us grow in appreciation for all that Jesus endured for us, by learning more about the locations where His divine sacrifice took place.
Questions for the Week:Orlando, up until last year was home to "The Holy Land Experience", a theme park (shocker for Orlando) where people could come and relive the life of Christ and other Biblical stories. HLE has been sold recently and is soon to be demolished, but I still drive by it on the interstate and it still turns my stomach a bit. I know that it's not the only religious theme park in the United States that operates at a profit, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on these theme parks, museums, and other tourist traps that use faith to draw people in and make a profit. We know you like to talk about the latest hit shows and movies on the podcast. Over the Christmas and New Year's holidays, one of the latest movies folks are talking about is the Netflix movie Don't Look Up. The movie is a satirical comedy about the end of humanity due to a comet crashing into earth. The film has had people talking about it not actually being “funny” because the way it depicts politics and society is actually very on point. What are your thoughts? | Special Guest:DeEtte Decker, Social Media Relations Strategist, Presbyterian Mission AgencyGuest Question:We've all seen toxicity on the internet particularly on social media in comments feeds. People will make mean comments that don't have anything to do with the original post just to be a "troll". Often they are criticizing the person or the organization that made the post or content for the sake of expressing their own view point. Does anyone have guidance about how to handle these situations with grace?Resource Roundup:Catch the Matthew 25 Livestream on the PCUSA's Facebook Page
Studies in recent years have shown an alarming number of Christian young people falling away from the faith. Many different solutions are being tried, many with little results. Our guest this week, Scott Phillips, says that taking students back to the roots of their faith is showing some promising results. Young people are digging deep into their faith in the land where it all began, this week on Missions Today! In Walt Disney World is The Hall of Presidents in het Magic Kingdom-park heropend.

The only thing better than #givingblood to the Red Cross is #gettingslizzerd with the Red Cross. This week on the podcast, Theo and Will talk about Tortas, a mini review of Dishonored, whether it is better to put out shows all at once or weekly is better for streaming services, a very in depth review of both Alien and Aliens which turns into somewhat of an argument between Will and Theo about which is better, some comporate Twitter mishaps in which they tweeted some… unfortunate things (featuring Chrysler, the American Red Cross, Walmart, DiGiorno’s, and Baby Nut), Theo goes into The Holy Land Experience, an apparently awful theme park in Orlando, Florida that features fun attractions for the whole family like a bloody Jesus being crucified daily, terrible food, and limited space in the performances (which are the only reason to go), and Will goes on a deep dive into a Revolution Studios and a conspiracy that he has formulated about their operations as well as diving into the flop that was Zoom: Academy for Heroes and the Anger Management TV show and how it was all a ploy to get into syndication. He goes off the deep end, it’s a little frightening.

Good morning. It’s Thursday, February 20th. I’m Kyle Sauerhoefer and here’s your local news update from the Orlando Sentinel. The weather forecast today calls for mostly cloudy skies with light showers, with a high of 83 and a low of 56. In attractions news, The Holy Land Experience in Orlando is laying off most of its employees. One hundred and eighteen people are losing their jobs. The corporate-wide reorganization puts the future of the biblical attraction in question.

Suppose you had previously traveled to Orlando's "Holy Land Experience" and later you were invited to travel to Israel. Suppose further that you replied, "I think I'll pass. I've already been to the Holy Land Experience. There's no need for me to go to Israel." What would people think of that decision? It is ludicrous to think that seeing a few replicas in Florida would be the equivalent of actually traveling to Israel to see those same objects in reality. The author of Hebrews asks the same question to his readers in the eighth chapter of his letter. He asks, "Are you going to give up on the real thing to chase after a replica?" The rites and rituals of Judaism are shadows of the real thing that is in heaven.
