Pastor Alex is joined by his good friend, Reggie Dabbs for a discussion on the state of racism in the US at the start of 2025. Both PA and Reggie have written books about racism and they talk about everything from their personal examples of dealing with racism, how dealing with racism is cycling through the stage of grief, to the way racism affects us in many different ways. The focal point of the conversation is diving into what the Bible has to say about us dealing with racism. This is a great discussion that you don't want to miss. (Be sure to check out Reggie's book, “Not So Black and White” as well as Pastor Alex's book, “Let's Start Again”) Alex Bryant Ministries is focused on helping people be reconciled to God, then within one's own self, and finally being reconciled to our fellow man in order to become disciples. It's Wednesday, February 5th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Pakistani Christian brothers released from prison Praise God! Two Christian brothers are now free from prison in Pakistan. A court acquitted the twin brothers last month. Eighteen-year-olds Sahil and Raheel Shahid were facing false Islamic blasphemy accusations. The brothers' attorney told Morning Star News, “We believe that this case was a conspiracy against the Christian residents so that vested interests could grab their land and properties.” False blasphemy accusations are an increasing problem in Pakistan, a 97%-Muslim nation, The country is ranked 8th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian. Countries in which religious nationalism predominates Pew Research released a global report on religious nationalism. The report identified religious nationalists as people who believe in the historically predominant religion of their country and believe that their religion should influence their laws and leaders. Religious nationalism was most common in Kenya for countries with Christian roots. For Buddhists, the country with the most religious nationalism was Thailand. For Hindus, it was India. For Jews, it was Israel. And for Muslims, it was Indonesia and Bangladesh. Religious nationalism for Christians was most common in Africa and South America while being the least common in Europe. The United States was somewhere in-between with just 6% of adults identifying as religious nationalists. Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Senator Cassidy explained his conditional support of RFK, Jr. In the United States, Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, a moderate Republican who voted to convict President Donald Trump in February 2021 of “incitement of insurrection”, was a key vote as member of the Senate Finance Committee which considered Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to be the next Secretary of Health and Human Services. As a physician, Senator Cassidy was especially concerned with Kennedy's questions about a possible link between childhood vaccines and autism. Before the committee vote, Cassidy made this statement from the Senate floor. CASSIDY: “Now, Mr. Kennedy and the administration reached out seeking to reassure me regarding their commitment to protecting the public health benefit of vaccination. To this end, Mr. Kennedy and the administration committed that he and I would have an unprecedentedly close, collaborative working relationship if he is confirmed. “We will meet or speak multiple times a month. If confirmed, he will maintain the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations without changes. CDC will not remove statements on their website, pointing out that vaccines do not cause autism. “He committed that they help committee chair, whether it's me or someone else, may choose a representative on any board or commission formed to review vaccine safety. These commitments, and my expectation that we can have a great working relationship to make America healthy again, is the basis of my support. “If Mr. Kennedy is confirmed, I will use my authority as chairman of the Senate committee, with oversight of HHS, to rebuff any attempt to remove the public's access to life-saving vaccines without iron-clad, causational, scientific evidence that can be accepted and defended before the mainstream scientific community and before Congress.” RFK, Jr. voted out of Senate Committee On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate Finance Committee voted to advance President Donald Trump's nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. The committee voted 14-13 along party lines. Committee Chair Mike Crapo of Idaho oversaw the committee vote. CRAPO: “We now have not only a quorum, but all members of the committee are present. I move that the committee favorably report the nomination of the Honorable Robert F. Kennedy, Jr of California to be Secretary of Health and Human Services. Is there a second?” COMMITTEE MEMBER: “Second.” CLERK: “Mr. Chairman, the final tally was 14 ayes, 13 nays. CRAPO: “The vote was 14-13. The nomination is reported favorably.” Kennedy's nomination now goes before the full U.S. Senate where he needs a simple majority or a minimum of 51 votes to be confirmed. Trump: Military will no longer pay for abortion travel Last Tuesday, the Trump administration announced the military will no longer cover travel expenses for services members to get abortions. U.S. Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville of Alabama notably stood against the Defense Department's funding for abortion under Biden's leadership. He said, “For the past two years, I have been sounding the alarm about the Pentagon's illegal and immoral practice of using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions. I took a lot of heat when I stood alone for nearly a year in holding senior Pentagon promotions over this—but as of today, it was all worth it.” Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Department of Education getting phased down The Trump administration is beginning to scale back the Department of Education. Already, the administration has placed dozens of employees on paid administrative leave. This is part of a broader effort to remove hires based on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The administration is also working on an executive order that would begin the process of eliminating the Education Department entirely. GDP slowed In economic news, the U.S. Gross Domestic Product slowed down during the last three months of 2024. The economy grew by 2.3% during the fourth quarter of last year, down from 3.1% during the third quarter. Economists had expected 2.5% growth for the fourth quarter. Also, the Federal Reserve held its key interest rate at 4.25%-4.5%, saying inflation remains somewhat elevated. The Fed cut interest rates three times since September 2024 and President Trump is calling for more cuts. Virginia voted down anti-homeschooling bill Virginia lawmakers voted down a bill that would have eliminated the religious exemption from the state's public education requirements. The bill would have added many regulations for parents who educate their children at home for religious reasons. Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin wrote on X, “I stand with parents across Virginia in opposition to Senate Bill 1031. We cannot allow this attack on homeschooling to become law.” Court: San Francisco must rehire employees who refused COVID shot And finally, a federal appeals court ruled in favor of Christian employees who were fired for not getting a COVID-19 shot in California. The city of San Francisco must now rehire workers who were terminated for refusing the shot. The ruling stated, “Appellants' coerced decision between their faith and their livelihood imposed emotional damage which cannot now be fully undone. … [San Francisco's] finding that Appellants' religious beliefs were insufficient to warrant any accommodations can only be described as a ‘dignitary affront.' ... The circumstances surrounding Appellants' termination constitute irreparable harm.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, February 5th, in the year of our Lord 2025. When Christian Pulisic broke onto the youth soccer scene as a teenager, playing for PA Classics and the IMG residency for US Soccer, other countries and clubs took notice. Specifically, in the process of scouting another US youth national, Dortmund took notice. When he moved to Germany to join the club, his emergence on the global scene accelerated. Pulisic impressed for both the U17 and U19 Dortmund teams, and quickly worked his way into the senior team. At the same time, Pulisic broke through with the US Men's National team. He, along with a generation of young American talent featuring in the top flights of Europe, offered the country a new sense of hope that the country could break through globally. Brian Sciaretta joined the show to talk about Pulisic's continued growth at Dortmund, then Chelsea and most recently AC Milan. Two Christian apologists reviewed my series on the moral argument for God on their channel, Democracy of the Dead. I recorded my own counter-response shortly thereafter, but thought it was too profanity-laden and impolite to release. Generally speaking, it's good to remain dispassionate in these online spaces, but I let my frustration get the better … Continue reading The Moral Argument for God – Have I Been Debunked? →

Two Christian chaplains were told they couldn't pray to Jesus Christ in public, while a high school graduate was denied his diploma for professing his faith from the podium. Meanwhile, girls are being told to shut up and compete against boys whether they like it or not, while one city in Florida is spending thousands on taxpayer dollars and police resources hunting for a man who left tire tracks on a "Pride" street mural. Because we can't "offend" anyone - except Christians, of course.
It's Thursday, March 7th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Two Christian Pakistanis acquitted of false blasphemy charges Praise God! A judge in Pakistan acquitted two Christians of false blasphemy charges last Friday. The charges from last year sparked a mob of 5,000 people. They destroyed church buildings and sent hundreds of Christians fleeing. The attorney for the acquitted Christians told Morning Star News, "The brothers are free and are with their family now. However, it is not safe for them to return to Jaranwala due to a serious threat to their lives. Though they have been acquitted from the court, there have been multiple instances where people accused of blasphemy have been killed by vigilantes despite being found innocent by the courts.” Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Pakistan, ranked 7th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian. Argentinian President Javier Milei opposes “gender ideology” language Argentina's President Javier Milei is continuing to crack down on so-called “inclusive language” in the government. He has opposed “gender ideology” and the reshaping of language to fit sexually perverted lifestyles. On February 23, the country's military announced it would eliminate inclusive language. And on February 27, a Milei spokesman said the country will “initiate actions to ban inclusive language … throughout the national public administration.” Milei was elected last November and is known for opposing socialism and abortion as well. Donald Trump trounced Nikki Haley on Super Tuesday Fifteen states held their presidential primary elections on Super Tuesday. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump overwhelmingly won the primaries for their respective parties. Biden has 1,500 delegates and needs just over 1,900 to secure the Democrat nomination. No other Democrat candidate secured delegates. Trump won every Republican primary yesterday, except in Vermont, where Nikki Haley won. TRUMP: “They call it Super Tuesday for a reason. (Cheers) This is a big one! “November 5th is going to go down as the single most important day in the history of our country. (claps) And we're going to make it like it should be: respected. Right now, we're not respected. Right now, our country is known as a joke. It's a joke. Other leaders, who I speak to, other leaders can't believe what happened to us. “Because three years ago, we were the most respected country anywhere in the world by far. We were doing things that nobody could believe. China was paying us billions and billions of dollars. In twenty five years, they paid us nothing, zero, not 10 cents. I was getting billions of dollars. And we were respected by everybody. “We had no wars. Remember when I had the debate with Hillary Clinton? She said, ‘Look, look at him. Look at that personality. He's going to cause wars, wars.' I said, ‘No, my personality is going to keep us out of wars.' And that's what happened.” (cheers) Now, Trump has just over 1,000 delegates. He needs 1,215 to win the Republican nomination, setting him on track for a rematch with Biden. Nikki Haley exits race, refuses to endorse Trump Yesterday morning, Nikki Haley, Trump's last major GOP presidential rival in the primaries, suspended her 2024 presidential campaign, reports the Associated Press. HALEY: “I am filled with the gratitude for the outpouring of support we've received from all across our great country. But the time has now come to suspend my campaign. I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard. I have done that. I have no regrets. And although I will no longer be a candidate, I will not stop using my voice for the things I believe in. “Our national debt will eventually crush our economy. A smaller federal government is not only necessary for our freedom, it is necessary for our survival. The road to socialism is the road to ruin for America. Our world is on fire because of America's retreat. Standing by our allies in Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan is a moral imperative. But it's also more than that. If we retreat further, there will be more war, not less.” After criticizing Trump throughout her campaign for his divisiveness, his age, and his legal battles that she believes will distract him from campaigning in the general election, Haley refused to endorse Donald Trump for president. HALEY: “In all likelihood, Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee when our party convention meets in July. I congratulate him and wish him well. I wish anyone well who would be America's president. “I have always been a conservative Republican and always supported the Republican nominee. But, on this question, as she did on so many others, Margaret Thatcher provided some good advice. When she said, “Never just follow the crowd. Always make up your own mind.' “It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him, and I hope he does that.” Daniel 2:21 says God “changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” Florida cracking down on woke “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” programs Meanwhile, Florida is cracking down on woke Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. The University of Florida announced last Friday it will eliminate these positions. This comes after the Florida Board of Education said last month that taxpayer funds will no longer go to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion positions. Manny Diaz Jr., the state's education commissioner, said, “Higher education must return to its essential foundations of academic integrity and the pursuit of knowledge instead of being corrupted by destructive ideologies.” Christian martyrdom of Perpetua in 2nd century A.D. And finally, today is the traditional anniversary of the death of Perpetua, an early Christian martyr from the 2nd century A.D. Perpetua was a young mother from a prosperous family in Carthage. She and several others were preparing for baptism to join the thriving Christian community there. However, Roman officials had just started to enforce an edict that banned conversion to Christianity. When given a choice between worshipping the emperor and death, Perpetua and the others held fast to their newfound faith. Officials threw them to wild animals in the local arena before beheading them. Some of Perpetua's last words were, “It will all happen in the prisoner's dock as God wills, for you may be sure that we are not left to ourselves but are all in His power.” In Matthew 16:25, Jesus said, “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Watch the 34-minute animated Torchlighters video called “The Perpetua Story” through a special link in our transcript at www.TheWorldview.com. Love Truce?? Donate to keep the show going! The trial was basically over. The prosecution won. John Scopes was moments away from being convicted of teaching evolution in Dayton, Tennessee. The ACLU and the prosecution had what they wanted. But Clarence Darrow did not. He wanted to make a monkey out of William Jennings Bryan, the famous "fundamentalist". But how? Darrow knew that if he turned down the chance to make a closing argument that Bryan would not be able to make one either. That meant that Bryan's carefully crafted words would never get heard. But he had one more trick up his sleeve. He would call Bryan, the lawyer for the prosecution, to the stand. Imagine that! The case was no longer about the defendant. It was about the lawyers trying to flex. Bryan took the bait. He got on the stand outdoors next to the Rhea County Courthouse in front of an audience of millions. Darrow, in a masterstroke, hit him over and over with the questions of any village atheist. Did Jonah really get swallowed by a large fish? Did the sun really stand still because Joshua prayed that it would? And Bryan... floundered on live radio. This event was made even more famous by the long-running play Inherit the Wind on broadway, which was followed up by a movie adaptation. But the play got it all wrong. John discusses a ruling by a federal judge in Texas that the government cannot require a Christian-owned company to cover HIV preventative medication because it violates their religious rights under federal law. Two Christian-owned businesses in Texas claim the drugs encourage homosexual behavior. Then he interviews Madeline Ostrander, the author of “At Home on an Unruly Planet - Finding Refuge on a Changed Earth”, about the effects of climate change on our sense of home, community, tradition, and history. Next, he again welcomes Bob Cesca and they talk about the PrEP medication ruling in Texas and how "fake" Christians interpret the bible. Then finally he chats with Rich in Denver about dark money in politics.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Have the Culture Wars come to Christian schools? Two Christian schools in Florida and Louisiana were confronted with the issues of gender, sex, and same sex marriage. One school has even received death threats because of their biblically based policy regarding sexuality and relationships. The other removed a student due to the parents same sex marriage. Can Christian schools do this? On what basis - legal or spiritual? Is there any good way to prepare or respond to these cultural pressures on religious schools that hold to biblical values? Dr. Walt Swaim gives a report on these events and then responds with a biblical worldview. When you catch fish, you take them out of the water. When you catch people... The Lord had said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Now, Peter was about to make a catch of 3,000 people - not taken out of the water, but put in the water! Two Christian baptisms - water and Spirit - are on display in Acts 2. And both are necessary. Have you ever noticed that the vast majority of people that profess Christs seem to fall away within a few years? I believe the modern church does a horrible job of setting expectations for a new life in Christ. Key Points: Telling new Christians they will get their heart's desire sets them up for false expectations. Two Christian opponents may both pray for victory. Complete faith in a lie does not make it true. Many people believe in false prophecy. God does not bend to their faith. God never promises we won't have storms. He promises to go through them with us. What does Christianity look like to a non-Christian? How does the secular world view Christian involvement in politics? Craig and Abby Cleckner(well know Bad Roman Christian-Anarchist) sit down with Nick and Josh(self-proclaimed atheist, who come with a mix of libertarian and socialists political views) to discuss faith, the state, and the mixed messages they see from Christians when these two worlds collide. In a true demonstration of how to have a civil conversation, we invite you to join us, from whatever political or faith background you may hail from, to keep asking questions and having hard conversations, especially with those you may assume you disagree with. Maybe God gave us atheists so we never stop asking questions in a pursuit to follow Christ. Holiness and love are two essentials for a God-honoring life.
The final episode of a four-part series has arrived. Two Christian men have talked about how and why they became pastors, how and why their churches came to be located where they are, and how and why their ministries have taken the shape that they have. This show we talk about the challenges of cultural obstacles. There’s a distinct ethnic vibe with African churches. What’s it like attempting to reach people who view life from differing vantage points? How do our neighbors receive these congregations? Do different cultural backgrounds profoundly change the way ministry is done? Clement let me begin by turning to you. How do you feel that your church fits into the Frederick landscape, and is it even important to be concerned with how well it fits or doesn’t fit? The panel: Troy Skinner. 930 WFMD Host/Moderator of The Faith Debate. Dr. Neil Achaempong, Pastor of Covenant Family Chapel in Frederick County. Clement Mbuyi, Pastor of International Tree of life Church in Frederick.
Ryan, Morgan, and Felix discuss Chick-fil-A's decision to stop donations to two Christian charities.

The American state of Alabama, is the new fault-line in the country's battle over abortion. Two Christian women are on polar opposites of the argument. Sarah Howell resolutely opposes abortion. The Reverend Traci Blackmon is just as resolute in her belief that abortion should be legal. In Alabama, a virtual ban on abortion is due to become law in November. It is one of a wave of States that wants control of the procedure to be given back to them. Despite the law on abortion getting tighter in Alabama, its largest city - Birmingham – is pressing ahead with a brand new sexual health clinic. It says it will go ahead and provide abortions even though this flies in the face of the new law. It is against this backdrop that Sarah and Traci discuss how their faith sustains their opposing positions. Two Christian friends, Dido and Josias, make a podcast dedicated to analyzing films through Biblical eyes. In this episode, they explain what this podcast is all about.
Words found in Leviticus 19, Matthew 25, Romans 13, and other books of the Bible are used by Christians when arguing their point of view on United States border security and immigration reform. Are these passages being used accurately and appropriately? Two Christian pastors help place some of these Scripture verses in context during this final episode of a four-part series. The panel: Troy Skinner. 930 WFMD Host/Moderator of The Faith Debate. Tim May. Pastor at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, Co-Host of “Mid-Maryland Live” (heard weekdays 3p-6p on WFMD) Morgan Kochenower. Pastor at Frederick Seventh-day Adventist Church. (www.ariseforgod.org)
Some Christian pastors say erecting a wall at the border between The United States and Mexico is an act of violence. Some Christian pastors say enforcing border security with a wall is a biblically sanctioned activity of the state. How has this issue been allowed to divide the people of God? Two Christian pastors help articulate the considerations for properly understanding the roles of church and state, and the role of religious conviction in civic politics.
Some Christian pastors say that we find walls and other forms of border control exemplified in the Bible, so the state is doing its duty in enforcing immigration laws. Some Christian pastors say increased border security comes at the cost of spreading the Gospel. What’s the answer? Two Christian pastors help us walk through the immigration debate in part two of a four-part series devoted to these questions. Some Christian pastors advocate for the construction of a wall at the United States southern border, and cite Scripture to defend their view. Other Christian pastors say Jesus wants walls torn down, and if Jesus wants no walls, then we must want no walls, too. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? Or is there a mixture of right and wrong? Two Christian pastors help us walk through the “Trump Wall” question.
