Gary Waldon is the author of the book 'Sort Your Sh!t Out' and a transformational change specialist. Coming across his CV I remarked to myself that he has been doing career hopping before it was cool. Some of his previous jobs include: topless waiter, gym instructor, bank teller, teacher, lecturer, consultant and all around entrepreneur. Quite the list of areas and he is full of wisdom from the experiences gained across them!In this conversation we start off with his book and some questions related to the self-help genre. Gary gives some great advice for learning how to introspect and take responsibility for your own problems. We then move onto the topic of sharing personal stories and experiences from one's own life (and potentially from friends/family) in a digital world. Tom Libelt loves to bounce around careers and is a man of many skills. He began his work life haggling with Russians/Poles outside of soccer stadiums before being faced with the ultimatum; to be an astronaut, circus performer, businessman or musician. Nowadays he runs Smart Brand Marketing whilst travelling between Thailand, USA and Poland. In this discussion with Juan they begin with Tom recounting his childhood beginnings and how this shaped him into the person he is today. The second part revolves around some general advice on how to create a location independent business as well as the type of mindset and relationships you will have to create. Tom welcomes investor and publisher Chris Temple of The National Investor back to the show. Chris discusses the potential impacts of a Biden presidency with China. Biden's carbon credits and green energy policies will attract Wall Street's attention. If you invest in the right green energy areas, you will make a lot of money in the coming years. The nuclear energy space is going to do well simply because uranium is such a small market. Recent price action in uranium is just a taste of what is to come. Due to these green energy policies, the battery metals will do well, and even hydrogen will become a longer term play. He believes Biden will carry forward the energy independence programs that Trump started. Hopefully, the reductions in red tape around mining and permitting will persist under Biden. Biden is president for the same reason that Kamala Harris is Vice President; they are both 110% establishment. He discusses the outlook for gold. He says gold sold off because generalist investors looked at the benefits of a Yellen as Treasury Secretary and the coming spending on infrastructure and stimulus. He argues it's more important to follow the generalist investor's actions instead of just gold bugs. The Fed will continue printing and keep coming up with tricks. Gold will do well going forward depending on how the macro situation plays out in the short term. He discusses how most asset classes are manipulated, and gold is not an exception. However, he questions the price suppression narrative by reviewing some of the historical price actions of gold. He discusses why a risk-off environment would cause treasuries, gold, and the dollar to rise. He argues it doesn't matter who is in power because a generational power structure sets the United States' real policies. Chris has distinguished himself as an "outlier," and that strategy has served his audiences well over the years. Mostly self-taught, Chris has studied the modern monetary system extensively over the past four-plus decades. He distinguishes the knowledge he provides from the oceans of mere information (and much disinformation) that people typically have to wade through. Armed with that knowledge, he has succeeded in saving his audience and subscribers from every significant market decline. Chris explains how in his signature essay entitled "Understanding the Game." When you truly understand what makes the markets and financial system "tick," it's not that difficult. He has been recognized widely as possessing the talent to find undervalued companies in many different industries and often recommend them before others. Chris calls the period we are in now "The Strange Depression." He says, "It is more important than ever to start insulating ourselves from the crumbling top-down system." Chris takes a more upbeat approach to share his ideas, strategies, and resources.

'Two Who Survived' is the story of Rose & Max Schindler in the Nazi concentration camps, written by M. Lee Connolly. It follows their separate journeys as kids in an increasingly hostile Europe leading up to WWII, their survival through the Holocaust and subsequent life post-war. The book touches upon the need for hope/optimism in the darkest of times when staring in the maws of death. For those wanting more explicit detail, Rose appeared in a fantastic podcast episode with Jocko Willink.Juan had this to say about the book. "It's a 140 odd pages which also includes some pictures linking to the people and locations being discussed. Although the book deals with some dark themes and horrific stories, you also get to take a peak at when humanity shines through. Tom welcomes a man who should need no introduction Doug Casey. Doug is a libertarian philosopher, speculator, and author. Doug discusses why it's difficult today to be an investor with all the government economic distortion and mis-allocation of capital. However, in contrast a speculator can do well in this environment. He says, "Being a speculator should not be confused with being a trader." Doug is very bullish on gold at these levels because the crisis's we are facing is very serious. The dollar is still the worlds reserve currency and most trade is still done with it. Most central banks hold dollars and it is the official currency of several countries and the defacto currency of many others. When the dollar collapses it will have profound international consequences. There aren't many assets today that are cheap and the stock markets are very overpriced. Bond markets are in a hyper bubble with interest rates approaching zero. Commodities are one of the few things that are cheap today. Doug is of the opinion that gold will be used once again as day to day money. It's a great speculation and when the world loses confidence in fiat what else will be trusted. Doug outlines the dangers of the gold mining business and the risks involved. However, today most mining equities are undervalued and therefore he remains very bullish. Doug feels that bitcoin has excellent characteristics as money and also the utility of being able to transfer value without permission. Lastly, Doug discusses his novel series with his latest book being Assassin, being third in the series. Tom welcomes Andy Schectman of Miles Franklin back to the show. Andy likens Mondays hit on gold to a drive-by shooting. He says, "Physical demand has nothing to do with what we just saw on the Comex. This was done to create a perception of reality." It seems that new people are buying precious metals and there is a bit of an awakening. He feels Minnesota where he lives has changed dramatically. In general this year he has seen more business from a whole new subset of people. It's a vastly different market than before and the other half of the storm is still coming. The next government might not be market friendly and therefore they could sputter and crater. Democrats are likely to spend more and they may decide to send rates negative in order to stimulate spending. He discusses why "The Art of War" is an important thing for investors to understand because one of it's key strategies is misdirection. Today, the public is regularly misdirected from where they should be investing.People shouldn't focus on price but on the fundamentals. Normally small amounts stand for delivery on the Comex since it's usually used for hedging risk. He discusses how the German's when they pulled their gold from the United States they stated they wanted it before 2020. This year we've seen the rise of the others seemingly plugged in wealthy people standing for delivery. More metal is being taken off exchanges in a month than regularly happens in a year. The common thread seems to be to reduce counterparty risk. The current price smashdown is a gift for smart investors and the insiders know it's a rigged game. Physical posession of precious metals has never been more important. He believes we will see a new government digital currency that is in some way pegged to gold. The Fed needs this in order to generate inflation. Tanya is an amazingly positive person and she also talks about how she overcame postpartum depression and the value of living in the moment to find the most joy in life.Timeline:0:00 - Introduction1:53 - Tanya's MMM4:09 - Going from no running to ultra marathons14:51 - The mental process while running20:08 - Barefoot running & the run-walk method25:53 - Australian Foodie30:02 - Separating the creative and financial36:16 - The Broccoli Volcano42:21 - Optimism and struggling with postpartum depression46:33 - Getting out the demons vs reinforcing positivity50:21 - Anti-goal setting: living in the moment53:54 - Impactful & influential books1:00:50 - Going within and accepting contradictionsAs always, we hope you enjoy, Mere Mortals out!Connect with Tanya:Blog: https://www.australianfoodie.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/australianfoodie/Twitter: https://twitter.com/Tanya_Hall_Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/australianfoodiecomAbout Mere Mortals:Striving for excellence through life's lessons. Today our host Bethany sits down with guest, Carol Enns, for the final episode of Season 9: Fulfilled. Together they bring to light yet another Old Testament prophecy fulfilled by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Carol shares about the covenant God made with Abraham, promising to make him a father to many nations. Listen along to hear how God, in the work of blessing all of the nations of the world through His Son, also blesses each one of us and calls us to join Him in this work.It is our prayer that Season 9 of the DWITW Podcast has encouraged you to see God at work in the big story of the Bible. May God give you peace and assurance from this series of examples of our good Father keeping His promises.Carol wants to live in a world where Jesus' name is honored and communities are transformed by His love. When she's not teaching little ones in the school gym at St. Anthony’s, she's out for a run or bike ride in Oakwood with a neighbor or her husband Harv. Her favorite Scripture is Philippians 2: 8-11: “Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”On this episode, Carol shares about Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. The next local Perspectives course will be offered this winter at Fairhaven Church on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9:15, beginning January 12, 2021. A morning class will also be offered during this season at Patterson Park Church. Visitors are welcome to attend the first two classes. Bring along a friend or your local church’s outreach and worship leadership!Podcast Navigation:0:00 Introduction1:25 Meet Carol1:55 The Abrahamic Covenant4:15 Context in Scripture11:50 Fulfilment in the New Testament14:15 Context of the Fulfillment16:30 The Meaning of this Covenant25:50 What It Says About God34:00 Last EncouragementsOn this episode, Bethany and Carol discuss the following references and resources:Genesis 17:1-7Genesis 12:1-3Genesis 15Genesis 17Genesis 3Psalm 67Isaiah 49:5-6Matthew 12:18John 20:21Zechariah 8:20-23John 3:16Matthew 24:12-14Matthew 28:16Genesis 12:3Acts 13:44Acts 15Revelation 5Revelation 7:9-17Perspectives on the World Christian Movement*Reference Disclaimer: All references made by podcast guests are of their own accord. Host Bethany welcomes this week’s guest, Catherine Hernando, to Fulfilled on the DWITW Podcast for a discussion about Jeremiah’s prophecy that the Messiah would be the victim of a murderous plot. Bethany and Catherine trace themes of exile and return, hostility and reconciliation, and division and unity throughout the big story of the Bible— all leading us right to the cross, to the hope we have in Jesus.Catherine is passionate about adventurously chasing the impulses of the Spirit and seeking out the paths imprinted by God’s manifest presence. When she’s not at Apex morning prayer, at coffee shops working on theology, or exploring ways to capture the narrative texture of mission and discipleship on the @walkingwithheroes platform, you can find her with her neighborhood “framily” out on the streets of east Oakwood amidst a cacophonous tribe of children. Catherine is learning a lot from Paul about strength in weakness in this season of life (2 Corinthians 12:9).Podcast Navigation:0:00 Introduction1:25 Meet Catherine2:15 Prophecy of The Murderous Plot Giving Way to Hope2:40 Context of the Prophecy5:20 Old Testament References16:00 New Testament Fulfilment25:00 What This Fulfillment Says About God27:15 Last EncouragementsOn this episode, Bethany and Catherine discuss the following references and resources:Jeremiah 31Jeremiah 31:15-16Genesis 4Genesis 35:18Matthew 2:16-18Ephesians 2:11-19*Reference Disclaimer: All references made by podcast guests are of their own accord. This week on Fulfilled, Season 9 of the DWITW Podcast, Kate Hutson joins us to shed light on the messianic prophecy found in Isaiah 7. Bethany and Kate discuss the lineage of Jesus and the importance of the prophecy of the Messiah being born of a virgin. Tune in to learn how God fulfilled this prophecy through the circumstances of Jesus’ birth, and what this means for us as those born again into the family of God today.Kate wants to live in a world where everyone knows their own God-given gifts and is confidently rocking them. When she's not hanging with her crew of four littles (ages 5 and under), you can find her on a walk, moving her body, or hiding away somewhere void of toddler noise for moments of PEACE.Her favorite Scripture changes in every season of life, but is currently Hebrews 12:1-3: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy set before Him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God. Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart."You can connect with Kate on Instagram @katemhutson and on Facebook at Revelation Wellness- Dayton, OH.Podcast Navigation:0:00 Introduction1:30 Meet Kate2:45 The Prophecy of The Messiah Being Born of a Virgin8:45 Additional Context14:50 Jesus’ Two Lineages20:00 The Prophecy’s Fulfillment26:15 The Importance of this Fulfillment29:30 What This Says About God31:00 Last EncouragementsOn this episode, Bethany and Kate discuss the following references and resources:Isaiah 7Isaiah 7:11-16Matthew 1:1-17Luke 3:23-38Matthew 1:22-23Luke 1:31-35Luke 1:38*Reference Disclaimer: All references made by podcast guests are of their own accord. On today’s episode of Fulfilled, guest Esther Hyland joins our host, Bethany Sibbitt to discuss the prophecy of the willing sacrifice found in Isaiah 53. Be encouraged by the hope and assurance we have in Christ, and the magnitude of God’s love for His people displayed by Jesus. It is our prayer that His fulfillment of this prophecy will build up your faith and cause you to sense the deep love of our Father-- especially during this difficult season.Esther wants to live in a world where the Church meets needs so radically that programs like foster care or food stamps are no longer necessary. When she is not mothering her bio and foster children or leading worship through song, you can find her performing in one of Dayton’s theatre companies, where she seeks to bring the gospel to the local arts community. Esther’s favorite ways to recharge are enjoying good books and taking long walks out in nature. Her favorite books of this year so far include “None Like Him: 10 Ways God is Different From Us and Why That’s a Good Thing” by Jen Wilkin and “You Are The Girl For The Job” by Jess Connolly. One of Esther’s favorite Bible passages is 2 Corinthians 12:9-10: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities.
