How to escape from quicksand. Every Christian can identify with the struggle that Paul confesses in Romans 7. We want to do right; we do wrong instead. We're stuck - and condemned by our conscience, and seemingly everyone else. That's no way for a son or daughter of God to live! When we turn the page to Romans chapter 8, we find freedom... and power... and peace. Here's Jim with Part 2 of, Living by Resurrection Power. Listen to Right Start Radio every Monday through Friday on WCVX 1160AM (Cincinnati, OH) at 9:30am, WHKC 91.5FM (Columbus, OH) at 5:00pm, WRFD 880AM (Columbus, OH) at 9:00am. We have risen! We know that Jesus rose from the dead - there is no authentic Christianity without that truth - and we know that our physical bodies will rise in the future. But there is another work of resurrection! A "newness of life" that's available to us, now, through the Holy Spirit. Today Jim will walk us through several verses in Paul's letter to the Romans. Ever wondered about the visible signs of God's covenants? This episode explores one of the most profound questions in biblical theology: What is the visible representation of God's covenant with King David?Pastor Heath Lambert dives deep into covenant theology, explaining how God uses visible signs to represent invisible relationships. Discover why Jesus sitting on His heavenly throne is the ultimate fulfillment and visible sign of the Davidic covenant, and what this means for believers today.KEY TIMESTAMPS0:00 - Introduction: The visible sign of the Davidic Covenant1:04 - What is a covenant? He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever."Luke 1:32-33 - "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end."Hebrews 1:3 - "He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high."

Guest Speaker Pastor John Davis brings a message about the spiritual warfare believers face and how to overcome it with awareness and divine truth. The schemes of the enemy—distraction, drifting, and disturbance—seek to hinder God's purpose by attacking not possessions, but purpose itself. Believers are urged to confront misinformation, embrace spiritual renewal, and lean on God's grace for strength, discernment, and transformation through what he calls a “holy exchange.” If you would like to support WOCC financially you can give by clicking here: https://www.worldovercomers.church/give/ Scripture References: 2 Corinthians 2 Ephesians 6 Hosea 4 2 Timothy 1 2 Timothy 2 John 4 2 Kings 1 Ecclesiastes 3 2 Corinthians 10 Philippians 1 Isaiah 61

I fought the law... and the law won. Some fight against the law - the moral law, the Law of God; some fight their own nature to keep the law. And in the end, they sing the same, sad song: "The law won." On Friday we kicked off a new study in the book of Romans with a look at Chapter 7, and our abject inability to meet God's requirements. The problem is, I need a new me! Paul will show us that we have that, in the New Birth. Robert Lewis Sermons
Plain and Simple

Robert Lewis Sermons

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 9, 2025 43:56

Guiding Question: What kind of spirituality actually works in real life—and how do the cross and the Holy Spirit make it possible? Summary: Robert Lewis dives into the heart of “real-world spirituality” through Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 2. Speaking to the sophisticated, style-obsessed Corinthians, Paul came not with flair or polished rhetoric but with a plain and simple message centered on Christ crucified. His lack of impressive speech was deliberate—it was the cross, not charisma, that carried power. Robert unpacks two essential pillars of life-transforming faith: Deeply Embrace the Cross – Real spirituality starts with dying to self. Without the cross, compromise creeps in, and spiritual growth stalls. Like the Corinthians, many believers today live forgiven but powerless lives because they resist the daily dying that unleashes resurrection power. Robert illustrates this with compelling stories—from a man who found freedom and generosity after surrendering financial control, to a broken father-son relationship healed by humility and repentance. The point: no death, no power. But on the other side of the cross is life, healing, and glory. Deeply Engage the Holy Spirit – Beyond self-denial, real spirituality includes a dynamic, intimate partnership with the Holy Spirit. He reveals God's thoughts to us, offers conviction, direction, and encouragement, and empowers discernment. Without the Spirit, believers grow spiritually dull, operating like a spiritual rover on Mars—barely receiving God's signal. But with the Spirit, believers gain wisdom, spiritual insight, and intimacy with God. Robert closes with two reflective questions for listeners: Where do you need to die to yourself? Do you want to be closer to God? He urges listeners to begin each day by surrendering to the cross and inviting the Holy Spirit in—plain and simple. Key Takeaways: Real spirituality isn't flashy—it's crucified and Spirit-filled. Without dying to self, we will always compromise God's best. The cross leads to spiritual power, freedom, and relational healing. The Holy Spirit enables daily intimacy with God and insight for living. Mature believers experience both the cost and the glory of following Christ. The first step toward escape from our problem is to admit we have a problem. And welcome to a new series in the towering, transformative letter of Paul to the Romans. We're going to jump in at Chapter 7 - that very honest admission of our failure that leads the Apostle to cry, "O wretched man that I am!" The Great Divide. It's hard for us to understand - and hard for many people to accept - the extreme polarization that's coming. Now, the rain falls on the just and the unjust; the tares grow right alongside the wheat. We experience good and evil as a mixture. But God will unmix them. One day the consequences of sin will fall only on the sinner - or on Jesus. Jim is in Revelation 21 to complete his sermon, All Things New. In this court, we hear the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth - about you. Everyone desperately wants to think of himself as a "good person," and many convince themselves that the delusion is real. One day, at the Great White Throne Judgment, those folks will see themselves as God sees them: not as "mostly good, with some minor flaws," but as stained, ruined, sinful. Jim has called that day "Payday," and we've been learning about it in Revelation 20. What do you mean by, "Hell?" Hell is the place you don't want to go when you die. That definition will work fine for most conversations. It's the place of anguish and torment. But Hades (or the lower compartment of Hades) is not the same place as the Lake of Fire, and it's worth thinking about how and why those are different. God Speaks to Jesus Followers Through the Holy Spirit's Inward Voice, and with the Spirit, He Gave His Personal Relationship MESSAGE SUMMARY: Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 30:21: "And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,' when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.". We know, from the New Testament, that Jesus Followers are given the Holy Spirit to walk with them -- "a word behind you". Since the Holy Spirit takes up residence in you, the way the Lord speaks to you is through the inward witness of the Holy Spirit -- the Spirit will speak, and you will know that it is the Lord. In John 14:26, Jesus reminds us about His promise, to His followers, of the “Helper” (Holy Spirit): “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”. Additionally, in John 16-7, Jesus tells us that not only will the Holy Spirit be your “Helper”, the Holy Spirit will be your “Comforter”: “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him {the Comforter} unto you.". For Jesus Followers, God speaks through the inward voice of the Holy Spirit who He gave to us along with a personal relationship with Him.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, you know how difficult it is for me to be in silence before you. At times it feels almost impossible, given the demands, distractions, and noise all around me. I invite you to lead me to a quiet, silent place before you — to a place where I can hear you as Elijah did. In Jesus' name, amen.     Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 123). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Anger. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Forgiveness. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). Notes: The Wrath of the Lamb – Understanding Bible ProphecySession Overview- Date: Sunday, June 1, 2025- Host: L. David Harris- Program: Your Daily Portion- Topic: How to Study Bible Prophecy – The Wrath of the Lamb- Platform: Online broadcast and community at yourdailyportion.com- Theme: The paradoxical concept of the "wrath of the Lamb" and its implications for believers and non-believers in the context of the end times.---Key Concepts and Sections1. The Paradox of the Wrath of the Lamb- Key Question: “What is the wrath of the Lamb?” - The Lamb is a symbol of Christ, traditionally seen as gentle and sacrificial. - The idea of a lamb expressing wrath is paradoxical and meant to provoke thought.- Quote: “Have you ever seen lambs or sheep? What does that even mean? Lamb, lambs, wrath. Like what?”- Study Tip: Use the analogy of a lion and a lamb – Christ is both gentle and mighty. In His final act of judgment, the Lamb becomes the Lion of Judah.2. Biblical Reference: Revelation 6:12–17- Main Scripture: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake…” (Revelation 6:12)- Key Details: - Cosmic disturbances: darkened sun, blood-red moon - Earthquake and falling stars - People cry out to be hidden from the face of God and the wrath of the Lamb- Quote: “The face that should have been their comfort becomes their terror.”- Study Tip: Use the mnemonic “COSMIC JUDGMENT” to remember the signs – Cosmic events, Earthquake, Stars falling, Mountains and rocks, People hiding, Wrath, Lamb.3. Theological Insight: Christ's Sacrifice vs. Final Judgment- Jesus as the Sacrificial Lamb: - Silent before His accusers (Isaiah 53:7) - Took on the wrath of God for our sins- Contrast: - Jesus endured wrath to spare us from it. - Those who reject Christ will face the wrath of the Lamb in the final judgment.- Quote: “He died the death that we deserve so we can have the life that he deserves.”- Study Tip: Use the analogy of a courtroom – Jesus is both the Advocate and the Judge. He took the penalty so we wouldn't have to face it.4. The Final Rejection and Fear of God- Response of the Lost: - Recognize God's reality but do not seek mercy. - Cry out for hiding from the face of God and the Lamb. - Not repentant, only fearful.- Quote: “They recognize the truth but refuse to surrender to it.”- Connection to Adam and Eve: - Like Adam in the Garden, they hide in fear and shame. - Their separation is now irreversible.- Study Tip: Use the framework of “Hiding vs. Healing” – Those who rejected God's offer of salvation can no longer accept it and now fear His presence.5. Lesson 1: People Are Lost Not Because They Were Uninformed- Key Point: Final judgment is not due to ignorance, but rejection.- Quote: “People will be lost not because they were uninformed. There's no new information, but because they refused to believe.”- Study Tip: Use the phrase “Truth Delayed, Not Denied” to remember that God's patience is not a sign of cancellation.6. Lesson 2: Delay Is a Gift of Mercy- Key Point: God delays judgment to give people time to repent.- Quote: “Delay is a gift of mercy, not a cancellation of prophecy.”- Scripture Reference: 2 Peter 3:9 – “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”- Study Tip: Use the analogy of a pregnancy – Just because the baby isn't born yet doesn't mean it won't come. The delay is purposeful and full of hope.7. Lesson 3: Christ's Coming Will Be Sudden to the Unprepared- Key Point: The Second Coming will be unexpected for those not watching.- Quote: “Suddenly to those who are unprepared.”- Scripture Reference: Matthew 24:39 – “And they knew not until the flood came. Just like in Noah's day…”- Study Tip: Use the “Noah's Ark Analogy” – Just as only those inside were saved, only those in Christ will be ready.---Actionable Takeaways- Be Prepared: Watch and wait for Christ's return.- Share the Gospel: Delay is mercy; use the time to reach others.- Examine Your Heart: Are you hiding from God or drawing near to Him?- Seek Mercy While It's Available: The door will not remain open forever.---Study Tips and Memory AidsMnemonics- COSMIC JUDGMENT – Remember the signs in Revelation 6- Hiding vs. Healing – Understand the final response of the lostAnalogies- Lion and the Lamb – Christ is gentle now, but will be mighty in judgment.- Pregnancy Analogy – Delay is purposeful and full of hope.- Noah's Ark – Only those inside (in Christ) will be saved.Frameworks- Three Lessons from the Wrath of the Lamb: 1. People are lost not because they were uninformed, but because they refused to believe. 2. Delay is a gift of mercy, not a cancellation of prophecy. 3. Christ's coming will be sudden to the unprepared.Reflection Questions- Are you prepared for Christ's return?- Are you hiding from God or drawing near?- Are you using the delay as an opportunity to grow and share the Gospel?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/your-daily-portion-with-l-david-harris--2912188/support.

The Final Judgment. In our system of justice, we officially don't know whether you're guilty or innocent, until after the trial and verdict. And sometimes we don't really know whether you're guilty or innocent, even after that! In God's system, those who are righteous by faith have already been judged in our Representative. There's another trial awaiting those who are trusting in their own merits. It's the last thing that happens before God remakes the world: the Great White Throne judgment. Let's talk about... the kids! Could we think of the Millennial Reign of Christ as a kind of experiment, or demonstration? We begin the test-period with all good subjects. No sinners; none of Satan's breed allowed. And no Satan, either - he's locked up in the Abyss. After a thousand years of peace, prosperity and maximized human potential, how is the devil (now released) going to fool anyone? It's about the kids. "A new broom sweeps clean." Whether it's a new CEO at the company, or a new political administration, expect a lot of changes. That new broom won't miss a speck. When Jesus takes the throne of the Earth, "change" hardly touches the meaning of what will happen. Disruption, transformation, re-making - the world will be turned rightside-up, finally. There are at least 6 major changes that Christ will make, and Jim will outline them in his sermon, When God Rules the Earth. This world ain't big enough for the both of us! When Jesus arives, Satan must depart. And depart, he will - suddenly and violently. And then what? That's what Revelation, chapter 19 lays out for us. All of God's promises will be fulfilled, and many of them are fulfilled right here. We're ready for the rest of the sermon, Jesus Returns to Earth. We apologize for some technical issues. To Become Jesus Followers: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” MESSAGE SUMMARY: Every time you lie or cheat or lust or get stoned, you put a barrier between yourself and God because God is Holy. God's Holiness prevents Him from communing with sinners. The author of 1 John tells us in 1 John 3:8: “Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.". God brought Jesus, who was both God and man, to live on earth. Therefore, Jesus' blood sacrifice on the cross permitted Him to take on your sins. By His sacrifice, Jesus became the doorway for your personal relationship with God and a path for your Salvation from your sins (1 John 1:9-10): “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.".   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, everything in me resists following you into the garden of Gethsemane to fall on my face to the ground before you. Grant me the courage to follow you all the way to the cross, whatever that might mean for my life. And then, by your grace, lead me to resurrection life and power. In Jesus' name, amen.   Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 100). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because of I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Addictions. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Self-Control. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). A Prior “Independence Day Devotional” as We Prepare to Celebrate Again - We Must Have a Great Spiritual Awakening that Returns America to God MESSAGE SUMMARY: Will you "Stand in the Gap" and participate in a Great Awakening and Spiritual Renewal in America? The signers of the Declaration of Independence, in 1776, began a revolution which led to the formation of the United States of America. This Revolution was rooted in the belief that all people are subject to the rule of God, even the King; and leaders are not above man's law or God's Law. Also, everyone is endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights. Many people have tried to deny that America's founders created a country which wove together the concept of self-governance with Christian principles. Now, it appears the focus, of many political and church leaders, is to eliminate ideas, laws, policies, and objects that relate America to Christianity, the Bible, or anything that smacks of God. Today, this focus away from God is succeeding. We all need to hear what our founders said regarding America's Christian base. Not long after the enactment of the Constitution in the late 1700s, morality and church attendance declined drastically into a Spiritual Depression. The answer to this 1700s turn away from God became the nationwide implementation of "Concerts of Prayer", across all Christian denominations, which led to an American Spiritual Awakening. Today, through our actions, laws, and cultural revisions of our founding Christian principles, we have told God that we do not want Him around. Therefore, we must consider what God said He would do and what He has done in the past when people have turned away from Him, as told in Psalms 2:1-2,5,10-12: “Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed . . . Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying . . .  Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.". In the past, as indicated in Psalms 2, God has withdrawn His presence, including His protection and divine wisdom, when people have turned away from Him. God's presence has guided America for so many years, and the withdrawal of God's presence in America would leave us to reap the consequences of our focus away from Him. Also, consider what the Lord said, in Ezekiel 22:30-31: "And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. Therefore, I have poured out my indignation upon them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have returned their way upon their heads, declares the Lord God.”. However, in Zechariah 1:3 and in many other promises throughout the Bible, God says to his people in the past and to us today: “Therefore say to them, Thus declares the LORD of hosts: ‘Return to me', says the LORD of hosts, ‘and I will return to you', says the LORD of hosts.". Will you "Stand in the Gap”, on behalf of your country, to participate in and lead a Great Awakening and Spiritual Renewal in America by returning America to God? We must have a Spiritual Awakening to return America to God.     TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I come this day inviting you to cut those deeply entrenched chains that keep me from being faithful to my true self in Christ. In doing so, may my life be a blessing to many. In Jesus' name, amen.      Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 44). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Hatred. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Love. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). "May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known upon earth, your saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you. Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you." (Psalm 67:1-5). Scripture Reference: 1 Peter 1-12 5/25/25 Ascension of Our Lord - Christ's ascension means that in heaven there is one who, knowing firsthand the experience of suffering and temptation, prays for us and perfects our prayers. The ascension is a witness and guarantee of our own bodily resurrection, as well as an invitation for us to set our hearts and minds “on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God” (Col. 3:1-2) to rule over all things in heaven and throughout the universe (Eph.1:10, 20-23). Finally, the ascension of Jesus serves as the prelude to Pentecost, when the power of the risen Christ came upon all believers through the Holy Spirit. We celebrate and remember the ascension of Christ this Thursday, May 29th.

Globalism: One more thing we read about first, in the Bible. In the past there were some monarchs who believed themselves to be king of kings, ruler of the world - but they weren't really. As vast as their empire may have been, it was only the civilized world, or the known world. But there's a man coming who will really subjugate the entire planet. He's a globalist dream-come-true, and a nightmare for everyone else. Here's Jim with the message, Superman Rules the Earth. Heath Lambert addresses a question from a youth minister about how to guide young Christians seeking "closure" after relationships end. Discover how to recognize what people are really asking for beneath this vague term, and respond with biblical wisdom.TIMESTAMPS:0:00 Introduction and this week's topic on relationship closure0:35 Context: Youth minister's question about teenage breakups1:37 The problem with "closure" as a vague, undefined term2:35 How to help someone seeking closure: Ask questions and apply Scripture3:32 Category #1: Closure when mistreatment has occurred4:40 Biblical perspective: Reconciliation, not just "closure"5:50 Category #2: Desiring to recover a relationship or understand rejection6:52 The painful reality of unrequited feelings8:41 Finding security in God's love (Ephesians 1:7-8) rather than human approval10:02 Category #3: Confusion about the relationship seeking clarityKEY POINTS:- "Closure" is an ill-defined term that means different things to different people- When someone seeks closure, ask specific questions to understand what they're really seeking- Three common categories of what people mean by "closure":1. Mistreatment that needs addressing - When sin has occurred in the relationship- Biblical category: Reconciliation through confession and forgiveness- May be complicated by circumstances (especially if dangerous behavior occurred)2.Unreciprocated affection - When one person likes the other more- Reality: We must learn to respond maturely to rejection- No amount of "closure conversations" can change someone's feelings- Growth comes through finding security in God's lavish love (Ephesians 1:7-8)3. Genuine confusion seeking clarity - Understanding what happened- May be legitimate or may mask the desire for reconciliation- Can be appropriate when seeking growth-oriented feedback- Must approach with others-centered love, not selfish motivesSubmit your questions for future episodes to markedbyGrace@fbcjax.comSCRIPTURE REFERENCES:Ephesians 1:7-8 - "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight."

Jesus' ministry lasted about 3-and-a-half years, we think. The Two Witnesses of Revelation will preach for just that long. Three-and-a-half years also just happens to be the duration of the drought in Israel during the ministry of Elijah. There are a lot of things coming together in the passage we're about to read. Revelation has been called the "Grand Central Station of Scripture" for good reason. We'll start in Chapter 11. Jim's ready with a message called, Two for Forty-Two. If people will still be saved after the Rapture, why not just wait? - says the devil. During at least part of the Great Tribulation the world will have the 2 great prophets proclaiming God's message; 144,000 Jewish believers; an innumerable host of martyrs; and two flying angels. God seems to be pulling out all the stops to "by all means save some." Does that mean we can take His grace for granted? Here's Jim in Revelation 7. Heath Lambert addresses questions about narcissism in Christian ministry: Is it widespread in churches, and should those displaying narcissistic traits be removed from leadership? Discover how Scripture reframes this contemporary psychological concern as the age-old spiritual problem of pride.TIMESTAMPS:0:00 Introduction to this week's topic on covert narcissism0:50 How the Marked by Grace question process works2:23 The two-part question: Is covert narcissism rampant in church? Should narcissists be fired?2:53 Understanding narcissism from a secular perspective4:11 The biblical equivalent: pride as described in Scripture5:13 Pride as the universal root problem of sinners6:31 Is narcissism (pride) rampant in the church?7:17 Should "covert narcissists" be fired from church positions?7:44 Biblical qualifications and 1 Timothy 3:6 on conceit8:56 The crucial distinction: struggling with pride vs. being "swollen with conceit"KEY POINTS:- Narcissism is a secular psychological term from the DSM describing traits like grandiosity, need for admiration, and arrogance- These characteristics closely align with what the Bible identifies as pride (1 John 2:16)- Pride—the desire to exalt ourselves above others and God—is the fundamental problem of every sinner- All Christians, including church leaders, struggle with pride in some form- The biblical qualification in 1 Timothy 3:6 isn't the absence of pride but not being "puffed up with conceit"- There's a significant difference between a qualified leader who battles pride and seeks to overcome it versus someone who is "swollen with conceit"- Disqualification should be based on biblical grounds (being dominated by pride), not merely secular psychological categories- Judgments about disqualification should come from those close to the person who observe a pattern, not from distant assumptionsSubmit your questions for future episodes to markedbyGrace@fbcjax.comSCRIPTURE REFERENCES:1 John 2:16 - "All that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and the pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world."1 Timothy 3:6 - "He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil."

When the church goes up, God is not out! The Spirit of Jesus dwells in His people, His "body" - but it's also true that He is not confined by that. He is everywhere. So when all believers are snatched off the Earth in the Rapture, that's not the end of God's presence on the planet, nor of His outreach to humanity.
