Danielle is a barrister at Matrix chambers and has been involved in cases involving serious crime, protest law, inquests and inquiries. Bringing empathy and sensitivity to the table, especially during instances regarding children and young people, she thrives in bringing cases like these to justice. She holds an LLB (Bachelor of Law) degree from Sheffield University and completed her BPTC (Bar Professional Training Course) at the University of Law, Bloomsbury. Prior to her training, she worked at the law reform charity “JUSTICE” as a criminal justice policy intern, whose research helped to get compensation for a case of miscarriage of justice at the Supreme Court. While studying she also managed the “Innocence Project”, which worked on a range of criminal appeals and applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC). In recognition of her services she was nominated for the Chancellor's Medal and was additionally invited to sit on the CCRC's stakeholder forum. She spent some time in 2023 working as a sexual violence lawyer for the Centre of Women's Justice. Advising survivors accessing the Women and Girls Network Survivors Gateway about their legal rights when the police asked for their digital data as part of an Operation Soteria Pilot Scheme. Her work has been used for Netflix's documentary “When Missing Turns to Murder”, and she has also been a legal consultant on Suzie Miller's trailblazing plays, “Prima Facie” and “Inter Alia”. Providing the cast and creative team with the current state of the law when it deals with sexual assault cases against women from both the side of the victim and perpetrator. Marge Riks on teadvuse ja energiatööga tegelev Eesti taustaga juhendaja, kes elab juba kuuendat aastat Hispaanias. Ta kirjeldab end kui teadvuse olekut, energiate lugejat, inimest, kelle kohalolek toimib katalüsaatorina: teiste ümber muutub energiaväli automaatselt. Enne praegust teed töötas Marge finantsettevõttes kontoritöötajana. Anded on tal olnud terve elu, kuid hakkas neid avalikult jagama alles hiljem. "See mees on muutunud. Midagi on teistmoodi." "See 100 000 muutub tegelikult sajaks euroks."

"Ma olin tänaval, kaks kohvrit, kaks last. Mul ei olnud mitte midagi. Me sõime ainult kartuleid ja õli." "See sisemine jõud kasvab läbi vaakumisse surumise." "Sa saad täiega vastu, kui sa ei mängi kaasa reeglite järgi, mida peab tegema." "Kui sa oled see hall hiireke — käid tööl, teed asju, kindel sissetulek, pangalaenud, liisingud — sa panustad sinna hingelest sisse. Ja siis sind kantakse." "Trauma on superressursi koht. See tuleb lihtsalt pöörata teistpidi." "Me väga tihti ei ela selle inimesega, keda me armastame — me elame ülekannetega."

Täna aitab Igor inimestel vabastada kinni jäänud emotsioone, mõista piiravaid uskumusmustreid ja taastada keha loomulikku tasakaalu — sageli seal, kus teised meetodid on jäänud piiratuks. "Hirm tappis neid. Hirm, mitte COVID." "Kits unustas. "Allergia on sinu mineviku lahendamata stressisituatsioon." Me lülitasime lambi välja." "Sina vajutad gaasile. Alateadvus vajutab piduril." "Everything works, but nothing works for everybody." "I know that I know I don't know nothing — see on minu põhiline nagu elu diviis." "Toitumine on kood, mitte ainult kalorid. ---

Kate is now one of three women on the Equity Register of Fight Directors since 2001, and has enjoyed working as a fight director for more than twenty years. Being a retired competitive boxer and qualified coach, she knows how to choreograph a physical fight, be it a bar brawl to battle scenes to make it look as effective as possible. While making sure the actors do it as safely as possible. She is the one that creates those fight scenes that make you move in your seat, grip your arm rest a little tighter and make you gasp with shock. For all the right reasons! Her work spans across screen and SO MUCH theatre! For screen she has worked on: Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Sky Pilot including adverts for Toyota. Her stage and screen crossovers include, Death of England (2022) starring Rafe Spall, and Romeo and Juliet (2021) starring Jessie Buckley and Josh O'Connor for the National Theatre. For theatre, she has worked at The National, RSC, The Globe, West End, Donmar, Royal Court, Royal Opera House New York and Regents Open Air Theatre to name a few. Some honourable mentions of her fight work were found on:King Lear, 2018, with Ian McKellenCyrano de Bergerac, with James McAvoyMidsummer Nights Dream at the Bridge TheatreFrankenstein, National, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee MillerOthello, National, with Adrian Lester and Rory Kinnear Curious Incident, National and West EndSalomé, NT, and King Lear at the Almeida, with Yaël FarberIn her words:“I love telling the physical story of the play through my fights - exploring what motivates the characters to commit such hideous acts of violence. I always work closely with the actors and I see my job as guiding them to a place of choreography that becomes an integral part of their roles. Obstacles are always opportunities, and I do my best to embrace everything that is thrown my way”. We discuss her process of directing fights, getting assured and comfortable with her actors beforehand and executing a stage combat scene that's both believable and safely conducted. We look specifically at her work on Othello and getting a great reaction from a scene in a play called “Sweat”. "Valu peaks olema selline mõnus magus ja nauditav — just see käivitab kehas heade hormoonide tootmise." "Me oma autot hooldame iga päev. Aga oma keha tihtipeale jätame täielikult hooletusse." "Massaaž on füüsiline treening. Me toetame inimese tervenemise protsessi. Ravivad ainult arstid." Väga väsinud kehale on see liiga suur koormus."
Suvi telgiga Londoni parkides. Otsingud Indias. "Valu on olnud minu parim nõelravi." ---

Kuivõrd massilised need on? Miks inimesed ikkagi nende õnge lähevad? Kuidas petturite „organisatsioonid“ on üles ehitatud? --- Elisa Eesti kontaktid: https://www.elisa.ee https://www.elisa.ee/et/eraklient/apid-ja-lisateenused/lisateenused/netivalvur ---

Melissa is an actress, journalist and producer whose work expands way beyond acting. To the opera, working as a dramaturg, in advertising, cinema, television and leading workshops. Her training came from a number of institutions, one being Campagnia Finzi Pasca, a company she has collaborated with from a young age, the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, and also with José Sinisterra in Barcelona. Campagnia Finzi Pasca uses resources of acrobatic movements and clown presences based on the “Theatre of Caress”, a concept developed by Daniele Finzi Pasca. Some of the most important things in her process as an actor are movement research and body expression. In helping actors develop their interpretations of the characters that they play. During this time she was also an assistant to the great director Elias Andreato, preparing actor Juca de Oliveira as King Lear among other great roles. Also with Campagnia Finzi Pasca she has also joined the dynasty of actors performing “Tessa” in Suzie Miller's Prima Facie. A play about the flaws in the legal system when it comes to women defending themselves in sexual assault cases. Making the point that even now, as we speak, more still needs to be done and something has to change. Melissa and I take a deep dive into Prima Facie, hearing about some of the surreal reactions she has had performing across Italy and Switzerland in recent months. In addition to discovering new things about the text that I never thought about before, and the show's global effect in helping numbers of people in more ways than one.Grazie Melissa! The return of Georgia Bird!Georgia is a stage manager extraordinaire, writer, lover of the arts, advocate for mental health and someone who has travelled the world with some of the biggest shows in the theatre. She is of course a member of the Prima Facie team which to this day continues to help people across the globe in more ways than one. It's a big, big welcome back to the indomitable, the brilliant, the inspiring G Bird!Georgia returns to the show to talk about the continued success of Suzie Miller's trailblazing play Prima Facie, now on a nationwide tour of the UK until 21st March. We discuss taking the play on tour, new discoveries made by the cast and company in rehearsal, the socio-political impact of the play since it opened in 2022 and Georgia's return to stage management since becoming general manager of Empire Street Productions. For anyone who hasn't seen the play yet, keep a look out for any future screenings at your local cinema or on demand, it's a show that helps people more than you know. It's a voice for the one in three, a demonstration that theatre can change the world and how something has to change. “Lapsena me anname tihti elututele asjadele erilisema tähenduse, ma teen seda tänaseni.” “Parim vanus luksusjahindusse enda sisse söömine tööalaselt on ikkagi 20-ndates, minul õnnestus see teha 30-ndate keskel.”

The long awaited return of Simon Furness!I've been meaning to have Simon back on the show since he was my second only guest back in 2021!This time we take a dive back into Vanya and Chekhov's other celebrated work “The Seagull”. Both plays were given huge London revivals in recent times and we take a look at how their interpretations of the text are similar and different to how Simon believes Chekhov would have liked to be seen done. We also ask questions such as, with Chekhov putting his characters in such tragic circumstances, is he making a mockery of unfortunate lives or is it social commentary? In other words, is he mocking people who are sad or is he plainly showing this is the way of life for some people? As well as finding the humour in these dire straits, is it to make fun of their situations of unrequited love and desperate need to feel loved or it is a way to heal them? Make light of a bad situation in order to help them out of their depression and cure them? All this and much more in our discussion!Including Simon's cameo in Netflix's “Wednesday” and what he would do with a West End budget if he was given the reigns to a Chekhov masterpiece. Olivia and I discuss her time in Othello at the National. We delve into how the character is seen by some critics as a victim of impossible standards, to her naivety and how out of touch she is to human nature. For example her dialogue with Emilia when she cannot comprehend the fact that sometimes women cheat on their husbands if they aren't satisfied with their current relationship in Act 4 Scene 3. We also look at her role in King Lear, how she found the disrupted relationship between Lear and Cordelia to looking after herself through emotionally demanding plays eight times a week. The return of Sarah Spring!Sarah returns to the show to dissect more Shakespeare, this time we look at the most famous speech in the world, “To be, or not to be” and the brilliant dialogue between Beatrice and Benedick in Much Ado about Nothing. We look at what makes “To be, or not to be” so famous as well as so beautiful. In Act 3 Scene 1 of Hamlet, the young Danish prince tormented by the suspicious death of his father and his mother's quick remarriage to his uncle Claudius, contemplates whether to face his “sea of troubles” or remove himself from the face of the planet. Hamlet asks is it worth facing this awful situation in his family or should he take his own life and be free of the burden? Begging the question, is it worth facing our demons or do we risk flying to an “undiscovered country” that we can't return from and know nothing about in the hope it will relieve us from our torments? Special mention to Benedict Cumberbatch and his interpretation at the Barbican in 2015 which we look at in a lot of detail!Done so many different ways with actors of both genders and a multitude of life experiences, this soliloquy speaks to every human being before us, right now and for those to come. Hence why it is so famous!Sarah and I take a deep dive into the speech and find what it means to us individually and the many ways it can be interpreted. As well as the emotional connection she has to Much Ado about Nothing and why it means so much to her. 2025 Rerun Notes: In commemoration of this month release of the last-ever Mishmash Monday on Channel 1, I thought I'd rerun the first two installments of the series - both from all the way back in 2017 (Season 1 of the show). Therefore, all the obvious caveats on "absolutely atrocious production quality" and blah blah blah (especially on C1E10, the earlier of the two releases). Though this rerun is "officially" and "canonically" the first "Mishmash Monday" (free play) episode in Nerd Noise Radio history, it is really "Mishmash Monday in name only" as it wasn't truly a free play. Instead, it was designed with a very specific purpose and with each track housing a very specific meaning. Though I explain and elaborate fully in a 2019 special expanded rebroadcast of this episode we called "Chandlerfest", which I'll link to below, for now, the tl;dr is that this mixtape was actually made in commemoration for a friend who died entirely too young in Dec 2016, and whose absence we still feel regularly from here in 2025. When I got the news, I left work, went home, and turned my grief into tortured energy, and made this mixtape, with the design philosophy being to use the tracks and the particular arch of the track order to tell the story of the emotions of those of us left behind in his wake as we processed the news of his departure. With this being a 2017 episode, all the obvious caveats on "absolutely atrocious production quality" (especially episodes from the first half of 2017, which were even worse than those from the second half.) But content-wise, this early outing remains one of the most important episodes of Nerd Noise Radio....ever.
