PIZZAIDF is a unique non-profit organization based in Israel, dedicated to making and delivering pizzas to IDF soldiers in Gaza and Lebanon since October 7th. Founded in 2002 by Menachem Kuchar during the Second Intifada, the initiative was born out of a desire to give some nutritional peace and substances to soldiers, through the universal language of food. The organization's mission focuses on providing pizzas made through local businesses. In 2010, the leadership of PIZZAIDF was passed to Menachem's son, Elisha Kuchar, who continued to expand the reach of the organization. This interview was conducted in northern Israel, while Elisha is serving in the army. Under Elisha's guidance, PIZZAIDF has remained committed to its core values of helping small business owners and filling the stomachs of Israeli's fighters. Prior to the Jewish holiday of Chanukah, PIZZAIDF also delivers donuts, a popular dessert at this time, to army bases, and behind enemy lines. Andy and Brendan are back on this Wednesday episode to recap the fallout from Matt Kuchar's solo Monday finish at the Wyndham Championship, among other things. They start with Andy's initial take on the whole situation on Sunday before getting into the range session, TIO drop, and three shots of Monday morning. Kevin Prise gets a shoutout for his outstanding Monday coverage from Greensboro before Andy and Brendan break down Kuchar's post-round comments. The conversation then moves to the FedEx Cup Playoffs and this week's FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis, which will mark the start of our free-to-play FedEx Cup pool! Andy is watching out for some big names that are in danger of missing out on the Top 50 and next year's Signature Events, including a certain Guy and last year's FedEx Cup champ. The two take a look at the current FedEx Cup standings, which aren't easy to figure out, and try to make sense of how some players have accumulated so many points. Brendan then lays out the Schedule of the Week, hitting on the U.S. Amateur in Hazeltine, a possible American Ryder Cup scout team at the Czech Masters, and of course, LIV Greenbrier. The episode wraps with some news and notes, such as Sanderson Farms no longer sponsoring the Jackson, MS event on the fall swing.
We had our golf day at Powerscourt Golf Club with over 100 listeners and it was a massive success. Thank you everyone who came along, we hope to do more of these in the future! Jonny and Michael catch up to talk about Kuchar's antics on the PGA Tour, John Catlin playing for Smash GC and whether we'd take the LIV money.

Brendan is joined by Joseph LaMagna to recap an astounding end to Sunday at the Wyndham Championship with Matt Kuchar abandoning his ball on the 72nd hole due to darkness even as the rest of the field finished the tournament. The two dissect every angle of this unique situation, including a live reaction to Kuchar's explanation for this move and have a conversation about all of the people who will be affected by Kuchar's one-hole return on Monday morning. They then wrap up the Wyndham by giving props to Aaron Rai on his first career PGA Tour win and discuss Max Greyserman's wild finish that cost him the lead. After that, Joseph and Brendan talk through Lydia Ko's gold medal win at the Paris Olympics and both declare that they are "in" on Le Golf National after two weeks of quality golf. Before wrapping things up, Producer PJ jumps in for a Senior Tour Minute as Bob Papa was able to make it to Seattle for the Boeing this weekend following the Giants' preseason game on Thursday. To finish the episode, Joseph decides to share that he wasn't a fan of U.S. Men's Basketball's thrilling gold medal win over France despite Steph Curry's heroics.

How in the world can I turn one of my failures into a positive? Ashley Kuchar joins us in the studio to discuss how athletes can approach their game with confidence using resilience and self-compassion. We discussed how athletes deal with a lot of internal and external criticisms and ways they can block that out. Unfortunately, some of these criticisms come from us as coaches, and it's up to us to consider how we speak to our athletes. Additionally, Ashley talks about how a lot of internal criticisms can begin at a young age. There are many factors in our life that can negatively impact us before or after competition, and it's up to coaches to help athletes find the solutions. This month's episode is a great resource to kick off 2024 and help our athletes overcome failure with compassion instead of criticism. Dr. Ashley Kuchar is the founder of Fail Better Training. Ashley completed her PhD at The University of Texas at Austin, working alongside Dr. Kristin Neff. In 2019, Ashley was one of five graduate students to receive an NCAA research grant to aid in the development of her resilience program RESET (formerly "Fail Better"). In college, Ashley was a starting guard for the Fort Lewis College women's basketball team and at the conclusion of her athletic career, she was awarded the Dr. Troy Bledsoe Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. As a Busy agent and brokerage owner, Matt was enjoying a typical day on the Colorado Ski slopes. When (while he was on a ski lift) he received a call from his client who wanted to see a home the very next day. He was faced with the dilemma of cutting his ski trip short a day or losing his client. So he did what any agent would do and began calling up agents in his brokerage. After trying to get his showing picked up by numerous agents. Finally someone did pick up the showing and was able to cover for him. After Matt was done with the slopes, he sat down at a bar with a buddy and thought “There has to be a better way to get showings covered”. After further research, he wasn't able to find a company offering the services he desired. So, he began Showami in 2016. For more information, head to https://showami.com/.
