Many of us act on information without having carefully pondered it. “Zeal is not good where reflection is wanting, He who goes too quickly misses His way” Proverbs 19:2. It's good to take time apart and get quiet and listen for answers as we make decisions that affect the lives of others. Where in your life are you acting on “information” without seeking “answers”? Dr. Cassie Barlow began as a small-town girl with big dreams of higher education. Driven by faith from the beginning, Cassie turned to the military to further her education and found an extension of the family foundation she was born into. “Values are something that can and must be learned on a regular basis.”   In life and in business, it's worth taking time to ask yourself, “How are my values reflected in my attitudes and behaviours”. Or, “Is what I'm about to do or say consistent with my ideal of my best self?”. Doing this will bring your values to the surface where they can play a direct role in the outcomes of your life, rather than sitting in the background, undefined, where they can either guide you or not. Some people or groups get caught on a slippery slope when they aren't clear on their values. When values are defined and we maintain them at the forefront of our minds, they are a tool to measure our thoughts and actions. From here we can cultivate integrity and strength of character. It becomes easier to identify negative patterns like complaining or when ego is getting carried away. We can close the gap between our values and how we actually show up in the world. Join Raymond and today's guest, Joe Tye for a BRILLIANT conversation exploring these principles.  Joe Tye lives in Solon, Iowa. He is a speaker, coach, and author of several books including, The Twelve Core Action Values of Personal Leadership Effectiveness, and, Never Fear, Never Quit. He is the CEO of Paradox 21. He's a Stanford MBA and the former executive of a large healthcare system. He has also formed several non-profit organizations.   Expert action steps Print out the Self Empowerment Pledge, make copies of it, pay attention to it, and make these promises to yourself everyday for at least a month. Printouts can be found here. Get together with your spouse, or your whole family or by yourself, and crystallize what are your most important values. Think about how they're reflected in your attitudes and behaviours. Another resources for these values comes from author, Laurie Beth Jones, in her book The Path. Welcome adversity. Create breadth of mind by being thankful for life's challenges. Trust that challenges will bring opportunities. Women Infused Radio with Kristi Lynn Olson - Women | Business | Fascinating Faith

Are you ready for a little clarity today?  I hope so because today we dive in to the 3rd step of my series Unveiled Voices and the power of your calling. Clarity, my friend and my nemesis.  I’ve learned that to get where you want to go, you need clarity.  Action steps make sense and happen so much quicker when you have clarity. Clarity Your divine Message, rooted in self-worth, honoring your past, discerning life patterns, determining your mission and defining how to walk it out.  Whew, that’s a lot of stuff packed in.  Today you’re going to start unpacking and decluttering to get some clarity on the vision and calling on your life. Habakkuk 2:2-3 NLT "Write the message and make it clear" so that the runner can carry the correct message to others. this vision is for a future time.  It describe the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.  It will not be delayed.   If you want to do some of this work on your own, Laurie Beth Jones has a great book called The Path: Creating Your mission Statement for work and life.  In her book she outlines three steps to writing a mission statement.  What excites you? What principle, cause, value, or purpose would you be willing to devote your life to? whom are you here to help? Your highest calling, or as Laurie Beth Jones refers to it as Your mission statement, should be engaging, clear, inspiring and exciting.  And it should be so large enough to encompass a lifetime  of activities to walk it out.  It should be specific to your unique gifts and talents.  It has to be genuine and from the heart.  Make sure all your activities and flow from and relate back to your calling in general.   My firm belief is that while some men and women ARE called to live out their highest calling in the church, most of us are called to live our our highest calling outside the walls of the church. Jesus did the majority of his work OUTSIDE the temple.  He brought the 'church' to the people who needed his message the most.  He did life with them and held on to his purpose with intention.  He knew the bigger picture and had a strategy for getting there each step of the way. Now is your time.  Your time to Dream Big and clarity your divine message.  and then hold on to that Calling with everything you’ve got, and when you think you don’t have anything left, watch God Step in…. But God!  Be unshakeable. The Word Unveiled: You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail. Prov. 19:21 NLT Clarity and alignment with God's plan for your life is the key.  We have plans, but a higher vision always comes from spending time with Him.  The anointing always comes by spending time in his presence. I'm so excited about what I'm going to be talking about today in this first episode in a series called Unveiled voices.  My core message and signature coaching program is called Unveiled Voices, and is a reflection of part of my personal journey. I realized a few things that a lot of my clients and friends struggled with over and over on this elusive search for purpose and finding their significance in the world. It’s a yearning of women everywhere and crosses all social and cultural bounds. Unveiled Voices is about the expressions of women everywhere, through purposeful words and actions that change the world. Unveiled Voices addresses the lack of confidence, clarity, courage, and connection that silences a woman's voice. Something has to shift.  We can no longer remain silent and it's time to reclaim and Unveil our voice into the world. 7 cultural areas of influence are, or the 7 pillars of any society: Government Education Media Economy (business, entrepreneurship, sales) Family Religion (the church) Arts & Entertainment In all my work, studies, and experience, I've identified 3 critical areas to focus on:  Your Value, Your Voice, and Your Vision. And there are 6 steps you can take to define your value, voice, and vision so you can release the power and possibilities that are already within you.  And that's really the end game to all of this, isn't it?  To Step up into your sphere of influence and make a difference.  To create a legacy that matters to YOU and those it will effect around you.
