Imagine Going From A Sort Of Chaos Into Control. Changing The Day Starting And Running Us To Us Starting The Day And Running It. Having That Confidence, To Say, “I Know How My Day Is Going To Go”. Chris Has The Systems, The Protocols And The Practices Where You Can Show Up And You Can Determine What Your Day Looks Like.Takeaways From This Episode:Peak Performance And Transformation CoachWhat Is Your Baseline Financial IQTurns Chaos Into Control And Frenzy Into FlowThe Four-Stage Cycle Of FlowTransmutation - The Outcome Is The Ability To Turn Something Into Something Else5X, 8X 10X Gain In Performance!!In This Episode I Am Talking With Chris McLean - A Peak Performance And Transformation Coach (He Will Explain In More Detail). He Helps Agency Owners Transmute Chaos Into Control And Frenzy Into Flow. Through Intentional Mindset Flow - Hacking Into A Scientifically Backed Agency Performance System. Gotta Hear This. I Believe We Should All Use Our Strengths To Pour Into Agency Owners. Chris Has A Story That I Think Resonates With The Majority Of Agency Owners. Hear Chris Experience And His Solutions To Burn Out And Much More. We Are Talking About Topics That Need To Be Addressed.Chris is a peak performance and transformation coach. He helps agency owners transmute chaos into control and frenzy into flow through intentional mindset flow hacking into a scientifically-backed agency performance system.Chris explains that transmutation comes from the foundations of psychology and science, and the outcome is the ability to turn something into something else. That's really the idea of transformation. Ideally what we want is transformation like a butterfly. Once the caterpillar becomes a butterfly, it transforms, it's not going back to a caterpillar. True transformation is sort of permanent. That is where we want to get people. We want to take them to whatever goal they are needing and it be irreversible that that's the new baseline, and then we transform again. That is the idea of transmutation. It becomes a habit and not just a hobby. We want those redundancies, those systems, those kinds of nitty-gritty, daily stuff, that feel really unsexy to become SEXIER. Chris teaches you how to get into your peak performance of hacking, dropping into flow states, getting into higher states of consciousness, getting your most important work done in those types of states and that's pretty sexy. Going from a sort of chaos into control. Changing from the day starting and then running us to us starting the day and running it. Having that confidence, to say , “I know how my day is going to go”. Chris has the systems, the protocols and the practices in the habits where you can show up and you can determine what your day looks like.Peak performance is operating in a state where you perform your best, you're doing your best work and you're also really enjoying what you are doing. It's quite a complex beast to actually be an agency owner, whilst maintaining creativity, right. And that can feel really chaotic. Chris wants to get people out of that and have them actually find the fun again, find the enjoyment, actually enjoy what you're doing. Even if that is filling out data in a spreadsheet, doing your finances, doing your accounts if you can do that work in a peak performance that is what we call a flow state.Connect With Lee: https://www.marketingagencycoach.com - Websitehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/digitalmarketingagencygroup - Facebook Grouphttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfTWUizmjG2mTtyAQ2zZx7A - Youtube

Cloudways - Managed Cloud Hosting Platform Simplified. A Managed Cloud Hosting Platform Where Teams Can Build, Deploy, Scale & Manage Phenomenal Web ApplicationsIn Today’s Episode, I Am Talking With Brent Weaver, A Brand Evangelist For Cloudways, A Cloud Based Hosting Program That Helps You Manage More Efficiently And Can Cut Your Hosting Costs Up To 70%.Brent Weaver Is On A Mission To Help 10,000 Digital Agency Owners Achieve Freedom In Business And Life By Helping Them Own Their Market. We Are Talking About Simplifying Hosting Experiences Because We Believe In Empowering Individuals, Teams And Businesses.Takeaways From This Episode:Hear Lee And Brent’s Hosting War Stories.Cut Your Hosting Up To 70%Getting Hit By A Bus Idea! What's An Ideal Recurring Revenue-Based Business Model For An Agency? How Do You Get Peace Of Mind In Your Agency?Cloudways has set high standards of performance, committed to complete freedom of choice coupled with simplicity and agility in every process. Backed by an innovative approach, their platform is built on best-of-breed technologies and industry-leading infrastructure providers that create smooth managed cloud hosting experiences. And, they do this by investing in the right talent and by organizing the perfect teams, diversifying revenue streams by adding (and building on) solid recurring revenue. Why agencies need to abstract the technical layer if they're going to offer hosting.Brent talks about being in a situation where they had the keys to the client's infrastructure, emails, websites, e-commerce, processing millions of dollars in orders a year. And he had the thought if one of them gets hit by a bus like the client is kind of screwed, and so they decided, they needed to move their infrastructure. So, if they end up getting hit by a bus, there's still an infrastructure component. Boom - Cloudways. Cloudways does beautifully, it gives you access to that cloud hosting layer, but also provides that management layer on top of it so that you don't have to have any sysadmin people. Brent explains that in a little more detail. It's really hard to replace a person who's in two very distinct seats - Like a lead developer, and sysadmin all in one. And replacing that person who's like an amazing developer. It's kind of a unicorn person. It can be expensive and also hard to find. So, Brent always tells people, anytime you have that team member that basically has become a unicorn in your business, It’s best to try to separate that.Cloudways has what they call their agency partner program. They took some of the advice from the Mavericks and they went in and did customer development, user experience research with agency owners and said, “Hey, what do you guys actually need from a managed hosting provider?” They came back with three main things: Jerry Maguire moment, ”Show me the money, right?” They want to have better pricing because they feel like one agency is bringing 50 sites or 10 servers or whatever, not just bringing one server at a time. So we should get a better deal. The second big thing is support. Having a team, depending on what level, you have a different additional layer of support. Then having exclusive access to some other resources. Someone helping them to grow their business and solve problems outside of just the hosting bucketBrent would love for more agencies to explore Cloudways as a managed hosting provider. Whether you're on WordPress or using another system that is hosted, looking at them to provide that infrastructure would be probably a smart move. Their team has been an absolute joy to work with and I can highly recommend them. www.marketingagencycoach.com

What Are Some Of The Drivers For Project And Agency Profitability? Why Do Projects Go Over Budget? What Can We Do About It? Ben Aston Can Show You How To Save Money. In Today’s Episode, I Am Talking With Ben Aston With The Digital Project Manager (DPM). He's Actually The Founder Of The Largest And Fastest Growing Communities For Digital Project Managers On The Planet. He Is A Prince To Practitioner, A Certified Scrum Master, And With More Than 15 Years Of Delivering Visual Project Management And Leadership. His Wealth Of Knowledge When It Comes To Project Management Is Second To None. We Get Into Some Pretty Good Wonderful In-Depth Questions.Takeaways From This Episode:The Difference Between Project Management And Account ManagerWhat Are Some Of The Drivers For Project And Agency Profitability? Why Do Projects Go Over Budget? What Can We Do About It - What Are The Levers?Learn About Memberships And Why They Are Helpful.First, we explain the difference between the project manager and the account manager. I think project management is all about delivery, it's about delivering value, fundamentally, and taking ownership of delivering value. So for the right amount of money, within the right amount of time, the right work has to be delivered. And as project managers, I see this as a strategic role in which the project manager is the guardian of delivering value, whereas the account manager is more about understanding the brands developing the relationship with the clients. The profitability really starts with the new business process. It's really important that the new business team is getting the right clients and selling the right projects. Often what's happening is the wrong projects are being sold and the wrong clients are being acquired. It starts at the project brief level, when we understand things from their perspective, understanding the why behind it, we have a much better chance of being able to deliver on that value. Scope Management is another way to eliminate the profit loss. Being prepared for a bit of pain in the project kickoff meeting. Basically having that painful conversation upfront will save you a whole lot of pain later. Clearly explaining there is an impact on the cost. Ben talks about one of the services they offer to people in business and that is a membership. The membership is really about connecting people who deliver projects in a digital world and helping them become more confident, helping them become more skilled and have them get connected and really have those conversations around project delivery. So come and check out their membership on the digitalprojectmanager.com/membership. If you know that you're in need, or maybe someone in your team is in need of some project lifecycle training to understand how to get from A to B on the project, check out their DPM School. It is all about taking people through that project management journey of delivering a project. They teach people about initiating projects planning their managing and controlling projects, which he talks about in this Podcast. We talk about how they create that map, how they create the route from A to B and get people to the end of the project as profitably and with as little pain as possible. And yeah, I really hope together we can help agency owners and leaders become more profitable in the way that they plan, sell and deliver their projectsWebsite: https://marketingagencycoach.comPodcast: https://agencycoach.buzzsprout.com/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/digitalmarketingagencygroup

Sell Futures, Not FeaturesHow To Build Marketing Funnels For Your Customers And Charge Good Money For It. We Motivate Marketing Agencies To Sell More Marketing Funnel Services To Their Clients, Increase Their Prices And Create Multiple Scalable Income Streams.Mike Killen Is The Founder Of Sell Your Service. He Gives Marketing Funnel Agencies The Confidence To Create Multiple Scalable Streams Of Income, To Free Them From The Crushing Constraints Of The Traditional Out-Dated Agency Model. Mike Is The Best Selling Author Of From Single To Scale, Universe Fuel, And Five Figure Funnels. Takeaways From This Episode:What A Basic Funnel Is And How It Delivers Value To Your Base. The First Rule Of Selling Marketing Funnels - Is Don't Call It A Marketing Funnel.Understanding The Differences Between Advertising And Marketing. What Should We Charge For Marketing Funnel? So, How Does A Funnel Benefit My Customers Business?Finding Those Emotional Triggers.Michael talks about the little pitch that he gives about marketing funnels. It doesn't matter if it's websites, email, social media or none of that - forget about the tools - all we're trying to do is find a bunch of people that don't know that you exist, and pull them through and turn them into happy, profitable, repeat customers who refer you to their friends. You can Consume 30 40 50% of an employee and when you automate that the human error aspect goes down. Everything gets better.Little secret - you don't sell marketing funnels. The first rule of selling marketing funnels is don't call them marketing funnels. We talk about what most marketing businesses if they employ automation, or even just sales, general marketing, and sales, they do it correctly. They're in the business of operations and productivity. There are some massive companies that have tons and tons of leads coming in but 90% of them are garbage. They are wasting time and money.Lot of people do not fully understand the difference between advertising and marketing. If you don't understand that, then you're going to be super confused by the whole marketing funnel. Everything you send is actually marketing. That's why successful companies invest so heavily in marketing. They can control the outcome and they understand what called the "time to close".So, the number one thing Michael talks about is selling futures, not features. That means selling marketing funnels all based around benefits. The key to understanding a benefit is really just understanding the future that the customer wants? What are they wanting? In fact, on this show, we mention two or three benefits, all dealing with - productivity operations -Time-saving and Money making. What we are talking about are human triggers. It is called emotional hooks or psychological hurdles. If we understanding the emotion behind decision making, we can understand the prospect's pain and help them where they need help. Sophisticated marketing minds will tell you 100% of the time, it boils down to an unbelievably rudimentary simple emotion. They might try to check off the boxes logically to validate the emotion - but make no mistake about it - bring it back to that emotion every time and you'll win the sales game. https://sellyourservice.co.uk/https://www.facebook.com/groups/sysmastermind/http://linkedin.com/in/craigjacobsonhttps://youtube.com/sellyourservice

Agency Success GPS Podcast - Featuring Lee Goff - Your Marketing Agency Coach
Jeff Bullas, one of the top influencers on the planet talks about his journey and the top three things he would advise agency owners they must do. Not only is he ranked as one of the top 20 influences, but he is also a wealth of knowledge according to Forbes and many other major publications. I highly advise you to go check out Jeff bullas.com after listening to this podcast and check out just some of his amazing resources. I actually love the topic we talk about in this episode. We discuss personal hygiene like shaving every day and do you brush your teeth. Trust me, you are going to love hearing Jeff’s journey, from his failures to successes.Jeff talks about the Tall Poppy Syndrome in Australia. This syndrome is very real and it is where they do not talk about themselves very much because. In Australia, if you talk about yourself too much it's called bragging - but in the United States - It's called marketing. Jeff talks about himself and his journey through stories and real-life experiences - the Australia way:) Shortly after Jeff turned 50 he started to figure out what his purpose was. It took him a long time to discover why he was on this planet. In the middle of a divorce, he lost his family home, had to close down his business, and essentially was homeless. He had to move in with his brother and that was when his eyes were opened to how he needed to change his life. You don't learn from comfort. You learn from discomfort. In 2008, during his phase of discomfort - he found his passion - the digital world. When social media was the Wild West, he first joined Twitter and in time started working at a digital agency helping build online stores. He would wake up at 4:30 in the morning and write content and realized he was really good at it. Hear his story about the traffic starting to grow and within a few years, he reached 5 million visitors a year and had nearly 600,000 followers on Twitter! He has mastered content creation to attract an audience.Jeff was doing all the writing, doing all the work and so he needed a way to actually scale it and put in place systems and processes so he could create content at scale. That's what he and his team are doing now. He realized his passionate purpose is to actually try and help people get their voice out to the world. What he loves about social media is it allows you to bypass the gatekeepers, the media moguls. Then hear his top three things regarding social media.Learn to use digital advertising that's paid, don't expect it to be organic. Test different platforms. Don't assume that what you are running is going to work for you. He says sometimes they test up to 72 different formats of an ad. And, do not just test the ads also test the platformsDone is better than perfect.I asked Jeff if anyone is looking to start at the end of the content world, what are a couple pointers on creating content at scale would you give them? He gave advice coming from someone who's been doing it for a long time, at a very, very high level. It is good stuff starting with how he decided to get other people to write for him and how you have the ability to take content and turn it into a variety of media. Don't over complicate things. The Jeff Bullas show is an evolution of his blog and website, taking it to a whole new level. They interview some of the most fascinating entrepreneurs from all around the world, especially those that are focusing on the digital space. https://www.jeffbullas.com/jeff@jeffbullas.comhttps://www.facebook.com/jeffreybullas/https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffbullas/https://www.instagram.com/jeffbullas/?hl=en

Knowing The Value Of An Agency Coach And Finding The Right Is Priceless - Learn Why! - The Third Digital Gold Rush.I Had The Honor Of Interviewing A Wonderful Brother From Another Mother, Lee Jackson. He Is An Agency Coach And Runs A Couple Of Agencies In His Spare Time. In this episode, Lee and I talk about... Dropping The Stigma and Pride And Asking For Help...Knowing the value a coach brings into one's life and discrediting the idea of being weak if asking for advice. Blue Pill vs Red Pill Marketing -- What!!Where Do You Go to Get Your First Clients? They are going to go through the process. Like understanding they have a problem, then they are going to look into their options - different vendors. Design A Client Path - Lead Them To The Next LevelIt looks like it's $500 a month to start with, then they add another thing and another thing and another thing, and pretty soon, it's tasty. I call it “a client path” You Have To Have A Third Eye ViewIn addition to that, while you're looking at your product line and the journey, you have to have this third eye view on it. Which means looking at your business model and what are you willing to spend to get a customer? How Long Does It Take To Define Your Product? You know, to get it really optimized and looking sharp? My name is Lee Goff and I will be your humble host. I am the founder and CEO of Marketingagencycoach.com and the author of the Agency Success Roadmap.I'm going to explain who I am and what this podcast is all about. Let's start with my passion to become an entrepreneur. I started my first business when I was 12 years old; I literally was pushing an old rusty lawnmower around the neighborhood, asking neighbors if I could cut their grass. And That Is When The Entrepreneur Journey Began! Not only was I driven, but I was also encouraged and inspired by my stepfather. He was a very entrepreneurial type of individual and a great role model. I thought with my passion and his pushing me to succeed, I could not fail (Boy was I wrong!“Certifiably Unemployable” or a“Crackhead Entrepreneur”I went to college and like a lot of entrepreneurs, wound up floundering around in colleges, floundering around getting jobs, going from one technical job or sales job to another. Basically, I would have classified myself as “Certifiably Unemployable” or a “Crackhead Entrepreneur”.But, in 2001, I saw an opportunity to kind of bridge the gap between big businesses, small businesses utilizing digital, the web, right?Started My First Agency In My Upstairs Bedroom! That vision that drove me to build, scale, retire from, and eventually exit my multi seven-figure digital agency in 2016, started in my upstairs bedroom, literally in my upstairs bedroom! I Founded my first agency, GetUWired in 2003 and it's still in existence today. By the time I decided to sell out of my agency, we had become Infusionsoft Number One app sales, Number One revenue producer, and Number One “done for you implementation services” on the planet to my knowledge. We won Entrepreneur Magazine’s Small Enterprise Top Company Culture in the US. If I remember correctly, in 2013, we ranked 13th out of 25 in the nation. Out of tens of thousands of companies that applied for that award we were picked. We were very proud of that! We won “Small Business Elite Finalists and we were a “Partner of the Year” for Infusionsoft for many many years. BUT - I wasn’t happy.Follow/Connect With Me Here:Website: https://www.marketingagencycoach.com Podcast: https://agencycoach.buzzsprout.com/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/digitalmarketingagencygroupYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfTWUizmjG2mTtyAQ2zZx7A Twitter: https://twitter.com/Agency_CoachingLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/leegoff/

Dozens of people are going to try and sell you that one magical “ninja” hack that will skyrocket your business. Lee Goff is not that person. So, why does Lee Goff, creator of the Digital Marketing Agency Success Group, favor sales skills and data over design and creative skills? Find out as I sit down with Lee to talk about his life as the owner of an award-winning agency and why he chose to move from agency ownership to coaching other agency owners. Lee built a multi-million dollar agency out of his upstairs bedroom in 2003, and successfully exited it in 2016. After recovering from a heart attack, Lee dove headfirst into creating a comprehensive agency coaching program that focuses on the business side of agency ownership instead of technical skills. In this episode, Lee dives into why he believes that mastering sales, driving leads, KPIs, project management, critical business systems, and process trump technical and creative skills when it comes to growing your agency. Each week on 5 Minutes With, our host Mike White talks to experts in marketing.Today, Mike talks to Lee Goff from Marketing Agency Coach. What is Marketing Agency Coach?I've built a large agency and I exited that agency successful successfully in June of 2016. Since then I went on and developed my higher purpose and that is to make agency owner’s lives easier. So what we do is we have a wide range of products, starting with the book then going into the on demand coaching programs and of course one on one and mastermind programs. So what I do is, I come in and I help aspiring freelancers or small agencies looking to break through the seven figure mark. What were biggest challenges that you had trying to grow your own firm that you now help other agencies overcome?I did not niche out soon enough. I think it was five or six years into my agency that I finally picked a clear direction in my messaging and we picked the platform to niche out in. That's the biggest mistake. The second biggest mistake was not having value based products. A lot of people in the agency space think that that's not possible because it's professional services. And I am here to let you know that's actually not the case.
