I met Katherine at a networking event in Everett, WA. I have LOVED learning about her journey because she shares it in such an authentic, real and vulnerable manner. Her story is something I know many of you will resonate with- from working in the medical and dental field to now working as an Intuitive Healer, Transformational Guide and Master Reiki Practitioner. In this episode we talk about:-The signs that happened that led her to become an Energy Healer -What she did prior to becoming a healer- and how that led her down this path!-Katherine shares a few of her experiences that occurred during her awakening process-What she does to stay grounded-I asked her about her Twin Flame journey and how she defines what a twin flame is!-How you can work with Katherine no matter where you live! The 411 on Katherine: Katherine Litz is an Intuitive Healer, Transformational Guide and Master Reiki Practitioner. She has been practicing Energy medicine for as long as she can remember. Her healing gifts began developing over 25+ years ago while working in the medical and dental field…. this is where she began to comfort and assist in patient healing and stress reduction in both adults and children. Katherine's private practice More Than Physical is located in Lynnwood, Wa. She offers one on one in person or virtual and group healing sessions and will soon be offering retreat experiences. Through her channeling and healing gifts she helps to guide and empower her clients, to peel away the layers of who they are not, revealing the essence of who they truly are as soul. Katherine's energy has been described as powerful, warm and nurturing as she channels guidance from the angelic realm. She has the gift of creating a safe and deeply healing space as she walks beside her clients on their awakening path of remembering that they are a powerful energetic beings. Through her facilitation of these energetic shifts many of her clients lives begin to transform out of the frequency of lack, stress and fear and into the frequency of abundance, love and peace. Guiding them to a space where they experience a sense of wholeness and freedom within. I love it when…. I love it when I get to witness the magic as someone realize their true potential as soul. A decade ago, Four-headed funktronic giant LITZ began leading listeners on energetically-charged adventures through feeling and sound. As they sharpened their showmanship and songcraft in the Maryland jam scene, LITZ ventured forth, opening for names like Papadosio and Lotus while adding Electric Forest, Resonance, and Peach to their festival accolades. The foursome–Austin Litz (keyboards, saxophone, vocals), Logan Litz (bass), Dan Gallerman (guitar), and Nick Thrasher (Drums)--are constantly producing new tracks that defy categorization musically and metaphysically. Combining funky horn riffs, wah-wah keys, pounding bass, flute, and sensational guitar, they curate a sound that isn't decisively funk, jam, go-go, or soul but irrefutably and exquisitely LITZ. On stage, LITZ are custodians of the audience's dreams, fears, and hopes. Their mesmerizing synergy and improvisation inspire authentic connection, reminding us that music, more than a sound, is a feeling. No two LITZ experiences are identical. As they riff and take risks, LITZ rocks their audiences' senses and souls, pulling listeners into new realms of emotion. Ecstatic introspection, laughs with friends, and dances shared with strangers are equally part of the LITZ odyssey. Website: www.LITZmusic.com YouTube: www.YouTube.com/LITZjams

On this episode I talked with Jordan about the path that lead him to musical theatre, the first show he saw as an audience member, being a competitive swimmer at Fresno Pacific University, making it to the 2012 Olympic Trials, how having the mentality of an athlete has helped in theatre, his favorite regional theatre show he's been in, learning to play the guitar when he starred as Captain von Trapp in Fresno Pacific University's production of The Sound Of Music, performing at shows in Walt Disney World, his audition process for the National Tour of Wicked, getting to be part of the cast that reopened Wicked post-pandemic in Dallas, how watching Curt Hansen's performance as Fiyero ultimately inspired him, navigating tour life, making his Broadway debut in Wicked as Fiyero, Broadway vs. Tour audiences, his dream roles, his interactions with Norm Lewis, and much more! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/backstagewithbeccab/support
Casey Litz is a newer driver originally from West Virginia. She spent the better part of a decade as a touring troubadour with a 6-piece bluegrass band. When she wasn't on the road she was in the restaurant industry. She eventually got the itch for adventure, and felt like trucking could be her calling. Not only did she just get her CDL, she dove headfirst and wanted to be a flatbedder, a niche part of freight in which women are only 5% of all flatbedders. We had a great talk on how truckers need to continue to spread positivity and help each other to keep the industry going strong. Follow her along on her journey on tiktok @long.haul.litz
This is an episode that is "off the tracks" in some manners of speaking. But, we cover some interesting topics as we speak with competition shooters and imbibe a bit of whiskey. See the hashtags for more insight. ;)

Compassion focused therapy (CFT) was developed to help people who experience high levels of shame and self-criticism, and has been found to be effective in reducing these difficult aspects of human suffering across a range of presenting problems. Adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse can experience very painful shame, as well as self-hating self-criticism, which can also perpetuate on going symptoms of post-traumatic stress. However, there hasn't been a systematic investigation of CFT as an intervention for survivors of childhood sexual abuse…until now! In this video I discuss our recent University of Queensland study, spearheaded by the talented and compassionate clinician-researcher, Dr Lisa McLean, in which she and myself, along with Dr Matthew Bambling, carried out a preliminary investigation into group-based CFT for adult female survivors of childhood sexual abuse. While trauma perpetuated by traumatic loss or imminent threat to one's life is familiar and salient to most psychotherapists, the pervasiveness & severity of trauma precipitated by "moral injury" experienced during and/or after a trauma is frequently underestimated and overlooked as a factor that can exacerbate and/or maintain PTSD. Internationally recognized expert in PTSD, psychologist, researcher & author, Dr. Brett Litz, joins us for an interview around the Adaptive Disclosure (AD) psychotherapy protocol. In this episode we cover: the nuances involved with conceptualizing and treating operational stress injuries among military personnel, including a review of the biggest misconceptions that clinicians unfamiliar with this population might harbour and how this could impact treatmentthe definition of a moral injury and an overview of the two major types of moral injury (i.e., moral injury "self" & moral injury "other")consideration of the "moral" emotions of shame & anger in the context of moral injurychallenges of treating moral injury as well as subtle or overt signs that a client might be affected by a moral injurythe origin of Adaptive Disclosure (AD) and where it departs from other CBT-based trauma therapies such as Prolonged Exposure Therapy or Cognitive Processing Therapythe basic theoretical framework/some of the core assumptions of Adaptive Disclosuredescriptions of some of the core therapeutic interventions in Adaptive Disclosurethe unique challenges of delivering any psychotherapy - including Adaptive Disclosure - within the context of a military population (e.g., over control, overregulation) a brief outline of the next iteration of Adaptive Disclosure - Adaptive Disclosure Enhanced (ADE), which emphasizes to an even great extent increased flexibility in provision of therapy, an emphasis on functioning (as opposed to symptoms) and integration of compassion trainingDr. Litz is a clinical psychologist and Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychological and Brain Sciences and is also the Director of the Mental Health Core of the Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiological Research and Information Center at the VA Boston Healthcare System.
