Why do smart, capable people ignore advice they genuinely believe is good for them? In this episode, Joy Slabaugh—a CFP® and Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist—joins the conversation to explore why behavior change rarely comes from better information alone. Joy explains how IFS helps financial planners understand the internal conflicts people experience around money, and why working with “parts” often succeeds where logic, pressure, and persuasion fail. The discussion reframes the advisor's role—not as fixing or convincing—but as facilitating self-led clarity, trust, and follow-through, offering a powerful framework that benefits both the people seeking help and the professionals who serve them. #financialtherapy, #behavioralfinance, #moneymindset, #internalfamilysystems, #IFStherapy, #moneypsychology, #financialplanning, #advisorlife, #clientbehavior, #behaviorchange, #emotionalintelligence, #selfleadership, #mindsetmatters, #moneyhabits, #financialwellness, #trusttheprocess, #innerwork, #clientrelationships, #financialadvisor, #psychologyofmoney, #decisionmaking, #humanbehavior, #moneycoaching, #professionaldevelopment, #advisorypractice A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. What if some of our most persistent money problems aren't budgeting issues at all—but trauma responses we've never named? This conversation pushes past polite financial talk and questions some deeply held beliefs: that healing has to hurt, that more money means more fulfillment, and that trauma is either everywhere or nowhere at all. Joy offers a sharp critique of both the financial industry's emotional avoidance and the therapy world's discomfort with money, arguing that both miss what's actually happening in people's nervous systems. The result is an unflinching look at how money becomes unsafe, why shame keeps people stuck, and how labeling—or mislabeling—trauma can either support healing or quietly sabotage it. #financialtherapy, #moneymindset, #moneytrauma, #traumainformed, #nervoussystem, #financialwellness, #emotionalwealth, #moneyandmentalhealth, #healingandmoney, #traumahealing, #moneybeliefs, #financialhealing, #shameandmoney, #psychologyofmoney, #mindsetshift, #innerwork, #emotionalintelligence, #wealthconsciousness, #moneyhabits, #financialfreedomjourney, #somatichealing, #selfawareness, #behavioralfinance, #moneystories, #healingjourney A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. Most of our money struggles don't start with numbers—they start with personality. In this conversation, Rick sits down with Khara Croswaite Brindle to explore how each Enneagram type relates to money in strikingly different ways. Achievers often tie worth to financial success, helpers give until their own security erodes, loyalists manage money through anxiety and vigilance, and enthusiasts stay focused on what's next rather than what's sustainable. Through stories, research, and lived experience, the discussion reveals that money behaviors are rarely about discipline or intelligence—they're about protection. When we understand how our Enneagram type views safety, control, belonging, and freedom, money stops being a moral issue and becomes an invitation to self-awareness and compassion.  #financialtherapy, #moneymindset, #enneagram, #enneagramtypes, #personalgrowth, #selfawareness, #moneystory, #behavioralfinance, #emotionalintelligence, #mentalhealthmatters, #therapytools, #innerwork, #healingjourney, #moneyhabits, #financialwellness, #mindsetshift, #traumainformed, #selfcompassion, #growthmindset, #moneymindsetcoach, #therapistsupport, #burnoutrecovery, #financialhealth, #psychologyofmoney, #wealthmindset, #personaldevelopment, #consciousliving, #moneyandemotions, #enneagramcoach, #financialfreedom A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. Jeffrey Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, was known to have engaged in illicit activities, including the operation of a vast sex-trafficking network involving underage girls. However, specific details on how he may have navigated or circumvented Title 31 of the U.S. Code, which pertains to money and finance regulations, are not readily available in the provided sources. Title 31 encompasses laws related to financial recordkeeping and reporting, including anti-money laundering (AML) and countering the financing of terrorism (CFT) measures. While Epstein's financial dealings have been scrutinized, particularly concerning his relationships with major financial institutions, the exact mechanisms he employed to potentially bypass Title 31 regulations remain unclear based on current public information.Jeffrey Epstein established several offshore entities to manage his wealth and assets, notably founding the Financial Trust Company in 1996, which he based in the U.S. Virgin Islands to capitalize on favorable tax benefits, reportedly reducing his federal income taxes by up to 90%.  n 2013, he obtained a banking license for Southern Country International, a specialized bank in the U.S. Virgin Islands designed to serve offshore clients. Despite holding this license until 2019, the bank conducted minimal, if any, business operations.   Epstein also utilized a network of shell companies, such as Plan D LLC, Maple Inc., and Great St. Jim LLC, to hold various assets, including his private jet and real estate properties.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Financial therapy isn't about having the right tools—it's about having the courage to face your own money story first. In this conversation, Khara Croswaite speaks candidly about burnout, money avoidance, and the quiet damage that can happen when helpers skip their own inner work. Through her path from mental health therapy to financial therapy, a hard truth emerges: we can't ethically ask clients to go places we refuse to go ourselves. Rick reflects on why vulnerability—not polish or credentials—is what builds trust, why so many therapists struggle with money in silence, and how financial therapy often becomes a second career precisely because it demands depth, humility, and lived experience. #FinancialTherapy #FinancialLifePlanning #MoneyPsychology #BehavioralFinance #HumanFirst #BeyondTheNumbers #InnerWork #MoneyStory #MoneyWounds #EmotionalMoney #EthicalPractice #DoYourOwnWork #SelfLeadership #InternalFamilySystems #IFS #PartsWork #SystemsThinking #FamilySystems #IntegrativePsychology #PersonalDevelopment #SelfAwareness #InnerClarity #EmotionalAwareness #HealingJourney #SelfDiscovery #FutureOfFinance #ProfessionalDevelopment #FinancialProfessionals #TherapistsOfInstagram #SecondCareer #PurposeDrivenWork #DeepListening #ClientCentered #MoneyAndRelationships #RelationshipPatterns #TrustBuilding #TransformationalConversations #BurnoutRecovery #TherapistBurnout #MoneyAvoidance #VulnerabilityInLeadership #AuthenticConversations #RealTalk #DeepConversations #ThoughtLeadership #HumanCentered #LivedExperience #FinancialWellbeing A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. What if the fastest path to your Enneagram type wasn't testing or theory—but listening to your parts? In this conversation, Rick Kahler and Enneagram veteran Joan Ryan explore a powerful, emerging approach: using Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a direct pathway to accurate Enneagram typing. Episode #11 details the testimony I gave at a joint hearing of the California State Senate & Assembly on the Direct Shipping of wine to consumers in November of 1997, when I was President & CEO of Henry Wine Group in California.Henry Wine Group was the only Wholesale Distributor of wine in the country at the time and to this day still, which spoke out and backed the right of the wine producers to ship directly throughout the country to  the consumer without going through the 3-tier system. I was also a member of the Board of the Coalition for Free Trade (CFT) and later served as Vice-Chair from 1999 to 2001. CFT is the advocacy group that would successfully have a lawsuit go all the way up to the Supreme Court. In May of 2005, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the entity that we backed in this action. A significant event that changed the world of wine shipment, albeit with limitations that are still being fought today. It was amusing to me in retrospect to be pitted against Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America, i.e., WSWA, in this battle. I believe you will enjoy this escapade.

When financial conversations start sounding like political debates, something deeper is going on, and this piece explores why facts can feel threatening when emotions take the driver's seat. It highlights how polarization has eroded our shared understanding of basic economic principles, leaving advisors torn between honesty and clients' emotional reactions. Drawing on the lens of financial therapy, it reveals how identity, fear, and belonging shape our interpretation of financial truth, and why both clients and advisors must learn to regulate their own internal “parts” to stay grounded. The heart of the message is simple but powerful: emotional awareness isn't a soft skill—it's a financial one, and reclaiming it may be the only way to restore trust in objective guidance. #FinancialTherapy #MoneyAndEmotions #EmotionalAwareness #FinancialPsychology #MoneyMindset #FinancialTruth #BehavioralFinance #MoneyBeliefs #IdentityAndMoney #EmotionsAndFinance #AdvisorClientTrust #FinancialWellness #MoneyConversations #Polarization #SelfRegulation A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. What if your body could tell you exactly where it's under stress? Bioresonance is a therapy that reads the body's frequencies across organ systems to reveal imbalances and hidden stressors. It's an eye-opening approach for complex cases—and a fascinating way to listen to what your body's been trying to say.About our guest:Jessie Dillon is a certified holistic health coach, Bioenergetic Practitioner (IBA), and Gillespie Craniosacral Fascial Therapist (CFT) with a passion for supporting women and children on their healing journeys. Since graduating from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2018, she has specialized in complex, root-cause conditions—particularly those involving nervous system dysregulation, oral dysfunction, methylation imbalances, and mold toxicity.Jessie uses a deeply personalized and holistic approach that combines bioresonance testing, hands-on bodywork, and compassionate coaching. She believes the body holds the wisdom it needs to heal—often we just need to listen more closely. To help clients uncover what's beneath the surface, Jessie uses bioresonance testing—a non-invasive tool that evaluates the body's energetic field using samples of hair, saliva, and nails. This technology helps identify hidden imbalances such as mold exposure, nutrient deficiencies, food sensitivities, hormonal disruptions, and emotional stress patterns—often before they show up on traditional lab work. With this insight, Jessie crafts tailored protocols that gently guide the body back toward balance. She is particularly passionate about working with children and families navigating oral dysfunction, developmental delays, and stress-related concerns. Her training in CFT allows her to offer gentle, integrative bodywork that supports fascial release, craniosacral alignment, and nervous system regulation—all of which can have powerful ripple effects on sleep, digestion, behavior, and overall well-being.Website:https://rootshealthandwellness.orghttps://www.quantumcollective.co/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/roots.healthandwellness/?hl=enStephanie's links:Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@drstephpeacockInstgram: https://www.instagram.com/drstephpeacock/Website: https://stephaniepeacock.com/ Subscribe to my newsletter: https://stephanies-newsletter-c410d1.beehiiv.com/subscribe

Welcome back to Beautifully Broken, where healing meets high performance. Today's conversation is with Kim and Holly from CFT Global, the leaders carrying forward Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, a modality that blends craniosacral therapy, myofascial release, and oral-structural work into one unified system. We explore why fascia is not just connective tissue, but an intelligent communication network that holds tension, trauma, and adaptation patterns. From infants struggling after birth, to adults with migraines, brain fog, concussions, and chronic stress, CFT works by restoring movement—movement of the cranial bones, movement of cerebrospinal fluid, and movement of the nervous system back toward safety. What struck me most is this: CFT doesn't force the body to heal. It listens. By following the body's innate wisdom, the nervous system shifts into parasympathetic regulation, allowing digestion, detoxification, emotional processing, and cognition to improve naturally. This episode is a deep dive into why healing is not about doing more, but about creating the conditions where the body can finally do what it already knows how to do.Episode Highlights[00:00] – Craniosynostosis, infant skulls, and why cranial plates must move for brain growth[02:16] – What Craniosacral Fascial Therapy actually is (and how it's different from CST)[04:11] – Cognitive clarity, emotional shifts, and whole-body effects of fascial release[06:34] – The origins of CFT: osteopathy, myofascial release, and oral structures[08:29] – Why head pressure persists even when labs “look normal”[10:12] – Tongue ties, airway dysfunction, and the overlooked craniodental system[13:29] – Weston Price, epigenetics, and how modern environments reshape facial structure[17:27] – Why releasing a tongue tie without bodywork can create new problems[23:10] – Are cranial bones really fused? Here's a fresh way to choose the right “money-and-meaning” help: this conversation maps the entire financial therapy spectrum as a simple two-axis quadrant: financial to psychotherapy and shallow to deep, then shows where options like books, coaching, financial planning, CBT, IFS, and psychoanalysis actually sit, and how to know what you need; with guest Vessy Tasheva, Rick explores why credentials matter less than the therapeutic alliance, how identity and safety (gender, culture, lived experience) shape fit, and why histories like Bulgaria's hyperinflation can drive powerful money scripts today, offering clear, human guidance for finding a professional who supports both your numbers and your nervous system. #FinancialTherapy #MoneyAndMeaning #MoneyMindset #TherapyAndFinance #FinancialWellness #MoneyHealing #MoneyPsychology #MoneyCoaching #FinancialGuidance #TherapeuticAlliance #MoneyScripts #MoneyIdentity #FinanceAndMentalHealth #MoneyAwareness #FindYourFit A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. When faith dictates money, the fallout can be devastating—especially for women. In this conversation with Sarah Carr, the focus turns to how rigid gender roles, abuse, and teachings like “God will provide” leave families financially vulnerable and women without autonomy. They explore how inherited beliefs around worthiness, guilt, and divine blessing shape earning potential, retirement savings, and even the courage to ask for a raise. From global inheritance laws to childhood prayers about the end of the world, the discussion shows how spiritual conditioning can sabotage financial security—and how awareness is the first step toward freedom. #WomenAndMoney #FinancialEmpowerment #MoneyAndFaith #GenderAndFinance #FinancialIndependence #MoneyMindset #FinancialFreedom #MoneyHealing #InheritedMoneyBeliefs #SpiritualConditioning #FinancialWellness #MoneyAwareness #WomenAndWealth #FinancialAutonomy #BreakingMoneyPatterns A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. What happens when belonging is tied to your bank account? This piece shows how cult-like religious environments turn “sacrificial giving” into financial control, leaving money scripts like “If I don't give, I'll be rejected.” Through client stories—including retirees pressured to keep giving—it highlights how loss of community magnifies money fears. Reframing generosity beyond dollars helps protect well-being while honoring values. The takeaway: healing means separating faith from finances with compassion so choices come from true values, not obligation. #MoneyAndBelonging #FinancialBoundaries #MoneyScripts #FaithAndFinance #HealthyGenerosity #FinancialWellness #MoneyHealing #FinancialEmpowerment #MoneyFreedom #ValuesBasedGiving #MoneyMindset #FinancialTherapy #HealingWithMoney #MoneyControl #MoneyAndFaith A podcast that blends the nuts and bolts of financial advice with the emotions that drive our money decisions. It's taken me three years to be able to share this story with you. Life is full. But God kept pressing on my heart that it's time to share the story.Pregnancy. Delivery. Postpartum. They're different for everyone. And in that 4th trimester, it isn't about “bouncing back”. It's about becoming. In this episode, I open up about what I did differently after my second child, and how my approach to postpartum shifted when I went from being a mom of one to a mom of two. I've kept my pregnancies and postpartum seasons intentionally private, but today I'm sharing pieces of my journey, not to prescribe, but to remind you: you don't owe your story to anyone. The only voices that matter are yours, your baby's, and God's.I'll walk you through:- Why the first three months are sacred for both you and your newborn- How I prepared differently for Charlie this time around- Why getting bloodwork after birth was a game-changer for my healing- The role of movement, nourishment, and scar care in postpartum recovery- My thoughts on C-section healing, CFT therapy, and lactation support- The importance of aligning with the right medical team- And why keeping space for your own passions (like Proclaim, for me) is not selfish — it's stewardshipThis is not a “how-to” list. It's a very real, raw, unedited conversation about grace, healing, and perspective. About slowing down, protecting your peace, and remembering that when your baby was born, a new version of you was born too.Whether you're preparing for motherhood, in the thick of postpartum, or reflecting years later, I hope this episode gives you encouragement, permission to slow down, and the reminder that you are not alone. There is no rush. There is no race. There is only grace.Links for things I talk about:Coach Sal: www.Fortitudegymhq.comDr. Tiffany Zook: http://holistichomepediatrics.comCocoon to Bloom: https://cocoontobloom.com/intake-formsBellibind: https://www.bellibind.comWe hope that you enjoy this episode. God bless you and Go Rise Up!Shop PROCLAIM's latest drop: www.proclaim365.com/shopJoin BIBLEin365 and read the entire Bible with us in a year: www.proclaim365.com/biblein365

Joined this week by the one and only Curt Isakson and was as epic as always! It has been a wild 2025 and I was excited for the conversation and all of the possible topics that we could be discussing.  He has finally hung up the fire helmet with Escambia and that was a part of the discussion as well as what the future holds for CFT and the fire service.  Of course the audience as always determines the questions and the direction of the conversation and they absolutely delivered in spades.

Today we are headed up to New Jersey to speak with our friend Paul from the BOGP Clubhouse about his trip with extended family down to the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridan Resort & Spa in July! We discuss how this trip came together (and grew!), the logistics of flying with two babies, making memories in the theme parks, meals at O'hana, Via Napoli, 1900 Park Fare, Citrico's and more! Also, Paul gives a nice review of GEO-82, the new lounge at Epcot! Finally, you have to hear what Paul has dubbed "CFT" or Concentrated Family Time - a great concept I think we all could adopt! We hope you can continue the conversation with us this week in the Be Our Guest Podcast Clubhouse at www.beourguestpodcast.com/clubhouse! Thank you so much for your support of our podcast!
