La vida no se presenta fácil cuando eres la niña de la Manoli una mujer a la que la mala vida la llevó al tenebroso mundo de las adicciones y al menudeo como forma de sustento para una familia con cimientos poco sólidos. Sus juegos de infancia variaban entre los paseos hasta las tantas con la única compañía de su perrita Susi y servirle un té imaginario a los Yonkis que entraba a a su casa por una dosis. El viaje que os propongo ahora en íntimo Vilima no va a ser sencillo, pero merece la pena escuchar a Rocio niebla, la niña de la Manoli.

El reportero de Caravaca TV Gil López y Manoli, la improvisada traductora de inglés, nos explican cómo una entrevista desenfadada hecha en un momento de fiesta y entre bromas se ha convertido en un fenómeno en las redes.Ocurrió en plena retransmisión de Los Caballos del Vino, en las Fiestas de la Cruz de Caravaca, el pasado 2 de mayo. Con la ciudad llena de turistas, de todos los puntos del mundo, el periodista que, no se desenvuelve bien con los idiomas, pide ayuda a una amiga que supuestamente sabe inglés. Y lo que ocurre a continuación es surrealista por el nivel de inglés que tiene la amiga traductora que acompaña a dos turistas. Incluso llega un momento de la entrevista en el que ni siquiera utiliza el inglés y se dirige a ellos directamente en español para preguntarles cómo lo están pasando, eso sí, con acento británico. Desde entonces, las entrevistas con diferentes medios de comunicación (hasta de California) se han sucedido sin interrupción."Mi inglés se remite a 'hello' y 'good bye', como otros muchísimos españoles. Entonces, como Manoli precisamente tiene una hija que es profesora de inglés, pues la presento como que sabía inglés. Yo no era consciente de lo que habíamos grabado. Cuando llego a la televisión y le doy la grabación al compañero, a los cinco minutos me lo encuentro retorciéndose por el suelo de risa. Pero es que cuelgan el vídeo en las redes sociales y a los tres minutos iban, pues no sé, 5.000 visitas o algo así", explica Gil López. Manoli nos cuenta el contexto en el que se produjo la entrevista, "un entorno de fiestas, ni habíamos bebido ni mucho menos", y que el reportero sabía que "no sé hablar inglés. Además, si yo supiese hablar inglés, no hubiera tenido ningún "like". Claro, pues yo fui espontánea y dije lo que sabía, que sabía poco, pero se me olvidó todo", comenta entre risas. Abstract: Humans rely heavily on facial expressions for social communication to convey their thoughts and emotions and to understand them in others. One prominent but controversial view is that humans learn to recognize the significance of facial expressions by mimicking the expressions of others. This view predicts that an inability to make facial expressions (e.g., facial paralysis) would result in reduced perceptual sensitivity to others' facial expressions. To test this hypothesis, we developed a diverse battery of sensitive emotion recognition tasks to characterize emotion perception in individuals with Moebius Syndrome (MBS), a congenital neurological disorder that causes facial palsy. Using computer-based emotion detection tasks we systematically assessed emotion perception thresholds for static and dynamic face and body expressions. We found that while MBS individuals were able to perform challenging perceptual control tasks, they were less efficient at extracting emotion from facial expressions, compared to matched controls. Exploratory analyses of fMRI data from a small group of MBS participants suggested potentially reduced engagement of the amygdala in MBS participants during expression processing relative to matched controls. Collectively, these results support the role of facial mimicry and consequent facial feedback and motor experience in the perception of others' expressions. Copy rights belong to original authors. Manoli, enfermera en el centro de Salud de Sangonera La Verde y a un año de jubilarse, salvaba este domingo la vida a una niña de tres años que sufría un síndrome de inmersión en una piscina en de una urbanización en Torre Guil (Murcia). En una entrevista en el programa 'El Mirador' ha señalado que "hice lo que tenía que hacer", aunque a la gran mayoría nos parece un acto de lo más heroico porque su rapidez al actuar fue vital para la pequeña.La niña evoluciona favorablemente y podría ser dada de alta en las próximas horas. Manoli ha contado cómo ayer estaba pasando un día de piscina con unas amigas cuando de repente vio como una madre sacaba del agua a su hija de tres años completamente cianótica y en parada cardiorespiratoria . Lo que vino después fue un trabajo de reanimación que dio sus frutos. La niña comenzó a vomitar y a respirar: "al final despertó, se quedó la pobre que no sabía lo que le había pasado"Los padres rápidamente decidieron trasladarla a la Arrixaca, aunque la ambulancia del 112 la recogió a medio camino. Manoli nos ha contado que está a un año de jubilarse, que ahora trabaja en la atención primaria, pero que durante 28 años se ha enfrentado a "situaciones muy complicadas" en la UCI de la Arrixaca.El de esta niña de tres años no fue el único caso ayer. Un menor de 8 años fue ingresado en el hospital Santa Lucía de Cartagena tras sufrir un síndrome de inmersión en la playa de Bahía Grande del Puerto de Mazarrón. El niño se encuentra en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Intermedios del Santa Lucía con evolución favorable.

Los testimonios de las personas trasplantadas emocionan porque saben lo que es estar pendiente de una llamada para seguir viviendo o volver a nacer. Llegar a código cero es una cuenta atrás y eso no se olvida. Pero también hay historias muy bellas de donante vivo como la que vivieron estas dos hermanas, Maribel y Manoli. Journey So Far... Dr.Vijay M. Wadhai is an Indian, born in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, India on 14th June 1961. He started his educational journey from his native place Manoli village for the primary level and underwent Secondary education from S.P.M High School, Ghatanji. Moreover, with his keen interest in studies, he got hold of 1st rank throughout his schooling. For higher secondary education, He got enrolled in one of the renowned colleges Vidarbha Mahavidyalaya, Amravati, Maharashtra in 1977. Dr.Vijay studied at Govt. College of Engineering, Amravati where he obtained BE degree in 1986. A lot of hardships and challenging situations he faced during his stay at the college of engineering and technology polytechnic campus at Pusad, Yavatmal district. He handled the responsibility of the hostel warden along with his lectureship at JSPM. After completion of Post-graduation in Power Electronics from PDA College of Engineering, Gulbarga, VTU University, in 1995, he worked in Mumbai University as Head of the department for 10 consecutive years. There he enhanced his skills of work commitment with dedication in professional life. He did his post-graduation in a very challenging situation that acknowledges him with lots of wisdom and real-life lessons. Este miércoles llegó hasta la región de La Araucanía, la ministra de Desarrollo Social y Familia, Karla Rubilar para participar de un inédito Füta Trawün, instancia generada por el Consejo de Lonkos y la Corporación de Machis que asistieron el viernes pasado a un encuentro en el Palacio de La Moneda. Tras la reunión con el Consejo de Lonkos y la Corporación de Machis, la autoridad recalcó que el Gobierno estará disponible para reunirse con todos aquellos “que organicen sus propios encuentros y quieran poner sobre la mesa el camino que tenemos que trabajar para pagar las deudas”. En la instancia generada para escuchar las demandas de los pueblos originarios, también participaron el subsecretario de Servicios Sociales, Sebastián Villarreal, el director Nacional de CONADI, Ignacio Malig, el presidente de la Cámara de Diputados, Diego Paulsen, el ministro de la Corte de Apelaciones de Temuco, Carlos Gutiérrez, el intendente de la región, Víctor Manoli y el director del Instituto Nacional de Derechos Humanos, Sergio Micco. Tras el encuentro, la ministra Rubilar señaló que “nos han planteado una agenda de 12 puntos a los tres poderes del Estado, que entendemos es pública, hay diferentes temas, desde el reconocimiento constitucional, pasando por la oficialización del idioma, temas relacionados con el estatuto machi, temas medioambientales, todo ellos los vamos a trabajar en conjunto con ellos para ver si podemos llegar a acuerdo con lo que a nosotros nos compete”. En ese sentido, la autoridad recalcó que “estamos partiendo un camino que se llama de diálogo, no de negociación. El diálogo es un proceso sin tiempo, sin exclusiones, y por supuesto que queremos avanzar, porque sabemos que las profundas desconfianzas, probablemente de muchos de los que están afuera, son justificadas respecto de grandes incumplimientos hacia atrás. Pero nuestro objetivo es dar pequeños pasos hacia adelante para avanzar y concretar lo que son las demandas y la deuda que tenemos con los pueblos originarios”. Respecto a las manifestaciones que se realizaron afuera del encuentro, la ministra Rubilar, puntualizó que “ojalá que los grupos que están afuera, pudieran generar sus propios espacios de encuentro. Nosotros creemos que lo que pasa afuera, es parte de lo que lamentablemente es normal, lo hemos visto en innumrables oportunidades, con múltilpes autoridades de Gobierno y de otros poderes del Estado, en múltiples Gobiernos. Lo que pasó el día viernes con un grupo de lonkos y machis que fueron recibidos por los tres poderes del Estado, y lo que está pasando aquí hoy día con la primera semilla de paz para cosechar justicia, es lo extraordinario”. “Como Gobierno lo que nos corresponde es valorar un proceso iniciado por Lonkos y Machis que invitan y logran de una forma bastante histórica poder tener a los tres poderes del Estado en esta reunión”, recalcó la ministra. Hello Runners! How are you? I hope you are doing ok through these tough times with the Covid-19 virus that has shut down our communities and have dramatically changed our lives. I hope you are following the CDC guidelines and self isolating, socially distancing and washing your hands. I am so thankful that our sport allows us the freedom to still get outside to run. Of course, not in a group and mostly by yourself. If you do run with someone, you still need to keep a distance of 6 feet. This episode is very special to me and I will cherish this episode forever. In early February, a few of the core runners from the Kihei Wednesday Night Running Group, which I organized for five years, got together at a local craft brew pub, What Ales You. We had a wonderful conversation and talked about our running group and the power of belonging to a running group. You will not only enjoy it but it will remind you of your running group, if you belong to one. I also give my personal thoughts about the most touching surprise goodbye party for me to send me off to Denver. It was the most touching, wonderful and humbling thing that ever happened to me in my life. And the gift that Kathleen and the group presented too me was very overwhelming. There is a picture of it and other pictures from that night below. And even the last Wednesday run that night, Zohra wrote in chalk very nice messages along the route. I ran a bit by myself that night and looked at each of those messages. I miss this group and all the wonderful runners that have made my life so much better. And I am thankful to Kathleen and Josh for keeping the group going. These are trying times and I would like to hear from you. I hope you are all doing well. Ridicarea Mănăstirii Curtea de Argeş a început în 1514, din dorinţa lui Neagoe Basarab de a zămisli aici un lăcaş de o frumuseţe fără seamăn, iar contribuţia legendarului meşter Manole la ridicarea construcţiei e ancorată în istorie. “În tinereţe, Neagoe Basarab a fost la studii în Italia şi la Constantinopol. La Constantinopol, sultanul Baiazid al II-lea îi încredinţează administrarea construcţiei unei moschei, sarcină de care el s-a achitat strălucit. Constructorul-şef al moscheii este Manoli din Niaesia, care apare, astfel, alăturat de Neagoe Basarab. Heute tauchen wir tief ab in den dritten Schacht. In unserer Besprechung des ersten Silberbandes von Perry Rhodan flüchten wir in eine nicht allzu weit entfernte Zukunft... DIE 70er! Unser Major der Spaceforce, Risikopilot, Sofortumschalter, sportlicher Student der Physik... äh nein, das war jmd. anderes, startet mit seinen Kameraden Bully, Flipper und Dr. Manoli in dem Stolz der Westmächte, der STARDUST, zum Mond. Dort läuft jedoch nicht alles, wie geplant und sie machen eine Entdeckung, welche die Welt verändern wird. Flipper hat keine Ahnung, wie lange eine Frau ein Kind austrägt!... und nervt! In unserer ersten regulären Folge klären wir, wie man die Fähigkeit des Sofortumschalters Perry steigern kann. Wird er dann zum Beispiel zum Sofortabschalter? Gehört Mercant zur PETA? El poema o el párrafo (porque en ocasiones acepta el riesgo de escribir de nuevo prosa) cobran en el papel una forma que existe ya en su imaginación, y resulta extraño pensar que la obra recién nacida se haya plasmado por primera vez en una caligrafía que no es la del autor. Concluido el poema (un texto en prosa exige muchos días), Borges toma la hoja, la pliega, la guarda en su billetera o en el interior de un libro. Curiosamente hace lo mismo con el dinero. Toma un billete, lo dobla en forma de tira y lo coloca dentro de un libro de su biblioteca. Más tarde, cuando le hace falta pagar algo, saca un libro y (a menudo, no siempre) halla el tesoro.
