In this episode, we talk about the importance of protecting your peace and guarding your mental space from constant negativity. Many of us have relationships that exist simply because time has passed, but we rarely stop to ask whether those relationships actually add value to our lives. Some people seem to thrive on sharing bad news, predicting failure, and filling conversations with doom and gloom. Over time, that negativity can quietly drain your energy and influence your mindset. This episode explores why negative news spreads so quickly, how the people around us shape our thinking, and why successful individuals are intentional about who they allow into their inner circle. We also discuss the importance of evaluating friendships and romantic relationships honestly. If someone consistently brings chaos, discouragement, or doubt into your life, it may be time to create healthy distance.Protecting your peace does not mean burning bridges. It simply means recognizing that your mind is valuable real estate and choosing not to let negativity live there rent-free.Check us out - Instagram and Twitter: JeroldJax Facebook: Jerold Action Jackson and Zone Of ActionJeroldJackson.comHappiness starts with you. Real Estate Investor Dad Podcast ( Investing / Investment in Canada )
Today's episode takes a different direction. Instead of talking about where to buy, what to buy, cash flow, financing, rent, tenants, or market trends, Wayne and Gabby talk about something that stops many people before they ever buy their first rental property. Negative people. Fearful people. Family members. Friends. Co-workers. People who mean well, but still fill your head with doubt. In this episode, Wayne and Gabby talk about why so many people want to invest in real estate, learn the strategy, understand the numbers, and still never take action. Sometimes the problem is not money. Sometimes the problem is not mortgages. Sometimes the problem is not a lack of good deals. Sometimes the real problem is the people around you. Wayne shares what he has seen after working with well over 1,000 real estate investors across Canada. Many smart, capable people stop moving forward because they are afraid of what other people will think, what other people will say, or how family and friends will judge them. Gabby explains how negative people rarely stop your success directly. Instead, they stop it indirectly by creating doubt, hesitation, fear, and inaction. Wayne and Gabby also share personal stories about starting out, dealing with unsupportive people, moving across the country, building confidence, and learning how to protect your goals from other people's fears. They discuss why some people criticize because they are jealous, why others criticize because they are scared for you, and why some people simply project their own limitations onto your future. The message is simple: you cannot build a better life while allowing people who are stuck, fearful, jealous, or unsupportive to control your decisions. Sometimes you need to limit exposure. Sometimes you need to set boundaries. Sometimes you need to stop discussing your goals with certain people. And sometimes, when someone is actively trying to hold you back, you may need to create distance or cut them out altogether. Wayne and Gabby also talk about the importance of finding a new circle of supportive people who understand what you are trying to build. Whether that is through mentorship, community, networking, or surrounding yourself with people who are also taking action, the right environment can help you keep going when your old environment tries to pull you back. This episode is for anyone who knows they want more from life but feels stuck because of the people around them. If you are waiting for everyone to understand you, agree with you, support you, or cheer for you before you start, you may never start. At some point, you have to decide whose life you are building. Theirs or yours. Negative people can cause long-term stress on our bodies, according to a new study in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Clinical psychologist and author of the book The Boundaries Therapist, Nicole Perry, joins the program to explain how to navigate these relationships.

“Send Coach John a message”I saw so many stories recently that connected with this powerful reminder from Kevin DeShazo (@KevinDeShazo) “Negative people don't make teams better. Negative people don't make relationships better. Negative people don't make organizations better. Negative people don't make the world better. If you want to make things better, show up with hope, purpose, positivity. You control you.” This was connected to some of the stories coming from the recent Winter Olympics in Italy. Many of the athletes shared stories about their preparation for their events, but also how their journey got them there. So many examples of controlling our own minds and emotions. Getting back to one of life's greatest lessons (athlete or not) - control the things we can control. Our attitude, our effort, our responses to outside events and our minds. For many - this is a lifetime journey of learning and struggling with how to do this. Thanks for listening. 5 REASONS YOU SHOULDN'T PARTNER WITH NEGATIVE PEOPLE NEGATIVE PEOPLE ACTUALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO RELATIONSHIPS.A successful relationship is two are more people coming into agreement.Chronically unhappy people tend to be out of agreement with life itself. They are ungracious. They are ungrateful. They have no appreciation for the good that is around them.Such a person has true inclination to be gracious towards other humans, to be thankful for the good that others bring into their life. If a person seem determined to not come into agreement with you or with life, you will not have a successful connection with them.2. NEGATIVE PEOPLE ARE DREAM KILLERSTo be negative is to be negative about the future.I would in fact define whether a person is officially negative or not by this particular metric : WHAT'S THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE FUTURE — THIER OWN FUTURE AND THE WORLD'S FUTURE?If a person is future-forward, they are not negative. Those who are negative people by this definition — don't ever share your future plans with these people. They will do their utmost to snuff your flame.3. YOU WILL FAIL AS A ROMANTIC PARTNER WITH THEM.This particular point applies even more to men than women. We all have the desire to please our partner, but men feel this metric at an even deeper level. When our woman is happy, we feel like kings. When she is unhappy, it lands in us as failure.Pick a woman who is chronically unhappy, and you set yourself to being and feeling like a chronic failure.4. THEIR NEGATIVITY IS OFTEN MALEVOLENTMaybe there is a small number of negative and pessimistic people who just live their sully ives in the corner, but most people who are future-negative are deeply envious of others who are optimistic, future-forward, creative, endeavoring, taking chances, succeeding.Be double careful of inviting such malevolent energy into your creation and production circle. They are saboteurs.5. AS YOUR PARTNER, THE NEGATIVE PERSON IS ROOTING FOR YOUR FAILUREA truly negative person cannot tolerate progress and success anywhere. They won't make an exception for you even if you are married to them. The very core purpose of a good relationship ought to be that the two people are rooting for each other. You are a stand for each other. You want the other to succeed and thrive. If you can't say this about yourself, you suck as a partner and your other will suffer because of it, and vice versa.— Om Rupaniwww.OmRupani.org

In this week's episode of Around with Randall, we discuss the impact of positive and negative influences in our personal and professional lives, especially in the nonprofit sector. What is the science of emotional contagion, how others' emotions affect our well-being and productivity, and the importance of surrounding ourselves with positive individuals? We end with some practical advice for evaluating potential hires based on their emotional impact, highlighting the value of creating a supportive, uplifting environment for personal and organizational success.
Hi Mamas, Ever feel like some people in your life are draining your energy rather than adding to it? It's time to embrace a Thank You, Next mindset… because your peace is worth protecting. Today, we're diving into the power of letting go… not with bitterness, but with gratitude. Some people come into our lives to lift us up, while others teach us what we don't want and where we need to set boundaries.
We've all got that someone - whether a parent, friend, teacher, boss, colleague - who absolutely sucks the life out of us with their negativity, right? They're constantly complaining, stressing and dwelling on everything that has or could go wrong. It can be a huge cause of frustration that's draining to be around - especially for someone like you who's working on growing a positive mindset, it's like ''Really? That's how you're choosing to think about it?!'' Being around these kind of people can often leave you seething beneath the surface and wanting to cut them out of your life completely - but sometimes you can't, and what if you didn't have to? What if you could be around a Negative Ned or Nancy, and feel completely at peace? What if they could rant and complain all day long and you didn't have to be dragged down at all by them? Yes, it really is possible - and today's episode will teach you how! Want to build the skills to better your mindset and take control of your actions? Abuse and neglect in childhood can leave you with the conviction that everywhere you go, YOU are responsible for everyone's feelings. If your family is miserable, you spend all YOUR energy trying to make them happy. If they're angry, you try to help them see the bright side of things. If they start fighting with each other, you ruin your own peace by trying to be a peacemaker for people who don't want peace. In this video, I respond to a letter from a woman who needs a way out of tense and draining family gatherings. Are You Dysregulated? Take the QUIZ: FREE PDF Download: https://bit.ly/3JwTn5r
