Entre otras figuran debates, conversaciones, conferencias, mesas redondas, actividades infantiles, concursos, rutas literarias, exposiciones o talleres de música y teatro. Van a participar más de 140 instituciones y espacios culturales, 120 librerías, 120 bibliotecas y, por supuesto, numerosos autores. Este viernes 25 de abril a las 17:00 en la Real Casa de Correos, con entrada libre hasta completar aforo, tendrá lugar uno de los eventos de inauguración principales. Pero también a partir de las 17:00: en la céntrica Plaza del Conde de Barajas, se va a intentar batir el récord de personas leyendo juntas al aire libre; y en las Casetas de la Cuesta de Moyano (que celebra su centenario), comenzará el torneo de búsqueda de tesoros bibliográficos «A la caza de libros». Entrevistamos al Director General de Patrimonio Cultural y Oficina del Español, Bartolomé González.Nueva campaña regional contra las drogas Es la segunda de las campañas impulsadas por la Comunidad de Madrid desde el arranque del año político. Se enmarca dentro del Plan regional contra las drogas. Si en la primera acción fue el cannabis, ahora el foco se ha puesto sobre los estragos que produce la cocaína. Un plan ambicioso que cuenta con un presupuesto de más de 200 millones de euros y que está enfocado a los más jóvenes. Además, se apoya en el deporte para luchar contra los efectos nocivos de estas sustancias. Para ello cuenta con la colaboración de la Fundación Laureus, cuyos premios se han entregado esta semana en Madrid. Estrellas deportivas como Carlos Sainz, Cristina Gutiérrez, Luis Figo o Rudy Fernández han aportado su granito de arena. Además, todos los equipos madrileños de fútbol y baloncesto de Primera División posarán tras una gran pancarta con el mismo lema al inicio de alguno de sus partidos de abril y mayo. Este fin de semana habrá presentación en la Zurich Rock ‘n' Roll Running Series Madrid. This week we're delighted to welcome Sean Fitzpatrick to the show. Sean was capped 92 times by New Zealand, 51 of those as captain. A World Cup winner and key member of one of the best rugby union teams, he is recognised as one of the greatest All Blacks of all time.  Sean is more than the sum of his rugby achievements. He has been an integral part of bringing the now famous All Black culture to wider sport and business. Key ideals such as ‘sweeping the sheds' and ‘play where your feet are' have been brought to life in James Kerr's excellent book ‘Legacy'. We often look at how numbers, revenue, media engagement etc. builds value in sport. Sean explains how mentality and values are the first building blocks in creating the brand that people want to buy.  This is also about rugby more broadly. Sean's perspective on the role of private equity investing in international rugby having been involved in Silver Lake's minority acquisition of the All Blacks demonstrates the value that lies within the sport. But it begs the question, why is the sport still struggling?  On today's show we discuss: The All Blacks Culture What does it mean to play for one of the most iconic badges in the world of sport? The life of a rugby player before the game became professional in 1995. How the culture of the All Blacks transcends sport, and the value that can be extracted by people living a life away from the field. ‘Play where your feet are', ‘when you're at your best, change it'. What do these sayings mean and what was the role of mindset in creating one of the greatest international teams of all time? It's about the team, not the individual. However is this changing in today's game with the need for ‘celebrity' that wasn't there before? ‘I don't believe in work life balance'; you have to be 100% in'. A lack of global superstars is holding the sport back; the game needs individuals like Jonah Lomu to bring it to the front of the attention economy. Experiential is the key to driving value. Paul is a three-time Paralympian competing in Sydney Australia, Beijing China, and London England. Also, he became a 2-time world champion and in 2002 was named most valuable player at the World Championships in Japan. During his senior year of college, Paul's team won the Intercollegiate Championship, with Paul receiving Most Valuable Player, Academic All-American, and Sportsmanship honors. UT-Arlington later retired the jersey #20 in his honor. He went on to become a 5-time National Champion in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and was named Most Valuable Player three times. For his accomplishments, he was nominated for both the Laureus and ESPY awards as Best Male Athlete with a Disability. Twice Paul was invited to the White House, meeting Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. After retiring from the National Team, Paul has anchored for NBC as a color commentator during the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Paralympic games.

Für Lotus, McLaren und Copersucar-Fittipaldi startete Emmo insgesamt 144 Mal, holte sich 14 Siege und 6 Pole Positions. 1972 und 1974 konnte er Weltmeister werden und u.a. eine weitere F1-Legende mit Jackie Stewart hinter sich lassen. Aber wer ist dieser Emerson Fittipaldi? Was hat ihn zum Motorsport gebracht? Das erzählt er euch heute selbst! Kevin Scheuren konnte im Rahmen der Laureus World Sports Awards 2021 mit dem sympathischen Brasilianer sprechen und es wurde ein sehr herzliches, offenes und spannendes über die Vergangenheit, Zukunft und Gegenwart in Emersons Leben. Familie ist das Wichtigste Wenn sich ein roter Faden durch das Leben von Emerson Fittipaldi zieht, dann ist das die Familie. Seine Eltern waren beide im Motorsport aktiv, haben ihn mit dem Virus infiziert. Er erarbeitete sich seinen Stand im Motorsport, verkaufte Lenkräder und hatte immer das Ziel Formel 1 vor Augen. So kam es, dass er vor dem Start seiner F1-Karriere mit Colin Chapman eine weitere Vaterfigur dazugewann. Der legendäre Lotus-Chef gab ihm ein Cockpit und hatte damit den Weltmeister von 1972 im Auto. Nach dem Weltmeistertitel wollte er aufhören. Aber wer hielt ihn davon ab? Sein Vater! Eine ultra witzige Geschichte, die er im Podcast erzählt. Ronnies Tod ging sehr nah Emerson Fittipaldi musste unzählige Kollegen und Freunde betrauern. Sie kamen in Formel 1-Rennen ums Leben. Der wohl schlimmste Tod war der von seinem Lotus-Teamkollegen und Freund Ronnie Peterson. Bereits Mario Andretti erzählte in der ersten Ausgabe von Vintage - The Past of Formula 1 von Peterson. Fittipaldi stand und steht der Familie sehr nah und nimmt uns mit in sein Seelenleben, wenn es um Ronnie geht und was er ihm bedeutete. Gefühlvoll, emotional und nachdenklich spricht er über Ronnie Peterson und antwortete auch auf die Frage, ob er jemals Angst hatte, ins Cockpit zu steigen. Sicherheit der Fahrer sehr wichtig Egal ob beim Spanien-GP in Montjuic oder auf der Nordschleife am Nürburgring - Sicherheit geht vor! Emerson Fittipaldi war ein früher Verfechter von Sicherheitsmaßnahmen rund um die Rennen und hielt mit seiner Meinung nicht hinter dem Berg. Das ist vielen Funktionären sauer aufgestoßen, war ihm aber extrem wichtig. So erzählt er Kevin Scheuren u.a. auch den Hintergrund, warum die Formel 1 nicht mehr wirklich auf der Nordschleife fahren konnte. Stichwort: Eifelwetter! Familienbande am Ende der F1-Karriere Nach dem Weltmeistertitel 1974 auf McLaren ging es für Emerson Fittipaldi aus vielerlei Gründen dort nicht mehr weiter. Es war ein Familienprojekt, das sein letztes Kapitel in der Formel 1 schreiben sollte. Copersucar-Fittipaldi ist ein legendäres Projekt, leider ohne große Erfolge. Aber wenn man Fittipaldi so darüber erzählen hört und mal eine Liste der Namen schreibt, die bei diesem Projekt dabei waren, so kommt man schnell darauf, dass der fehlende Erfolg unglücklich war. Es fehlte schlichtweg das Geld! Trotzdem ist es faszinierend, wenn man Emerson Fittipaldi darüber sprechen hört. In dieser Ausgabe erfahrt ihr viel über den Menschen Emerson Fittipaldi, vor allem den Familienmenschen. Es ist wunderbar, wie er auch über seinen Sohn, Emmo Jr., spricht, der seinen Weg in die Formel 1 gerade beginnt. Eine echte Legende. Ein toller Mann.
