FOX Sports' lead college football analyst Joel Klatt revels in Washington's thrilling win over Oregon and details why it was such an important game for the sport as a whole. He dives into Dan Lanning's key 4th down decisions and reveals whether he agreed or disagreed with the Oregon coach's aggressive mentality. Klatt discusses Notre Dame's emphatic win over USC and why he was so impressed with the Irish before breaking down how the Trojans have a major issue – and it's not the one everyone anticipated heading into that game. He then discusses Colorado's crushing loss vs Stanford on Friday night and what Coach Prime will need to fix to get the Buffaloes to bowl eligibility. Klatt also gives some love to North Carolina and Air Force for their big wins over the weekend before wrapping up with an acknowledgement of a mistake in Saturday's broadcast. Joe DeLeone and Sean Anderson hop on for their CFB Week 7 Preview, discussing Washington vs Oregon, Notre Dame vs USC, and UNC vs Miami
Although fall is still officially five days away, the first of two podcasts this week officially arrives to your computer, tablet or mobile phone as I delve in on all that happening in sports. On deck: (3:32) NFL Week 2 is just about in the books. My theme early on in this season are the surprising 2-0 teams and 0-2 teams. I'll get into my usual winners (i.e. Falcons, Seahawks, Giants) and losers (i.e. Broncos, Chargers) of the week, go through yesterday's docket as I review all that took place in the league. (27:45) With a lot of bluster, bulletin board material leading up to a game that was "personal" for Coach Prime, Deion Sanders, they had to eke out a hard fought win at home vs. in state rivals Colorado State. They lost a key player (i.e. Travis Hunter) and have two tough conference games upcoming (i.e. Oregon & USC). Alabama out of the top 10? That's correct as they're currently #13 in the nation. Tyler Buchner doesn't seem to be the answer at QB. What does Nick Saban do at this point? (34:10) We're down to the final two weeks of the MLB regular season. There are still division and wild card spots to be secured. The Orioles bounced back in their four game series with the Rays nicely. After losing the first two games, they salvaged the back two and have a couple game lead in the AL East. The AL West is hotly contested between the Astros, Mariners and Rangers, with the latter two in a rock fight for wild card spots against the Blue Jays. Which says a ton about the NL wild card, because the Diamondbacks have catapulted to the second wild card team after a sweep over the Cubs who have fallen from the playoff mix. The Marlins continue to scrap and claw after a sweep over the Braves at home as they currently have the final seed in the NL. Will the Cubs, Reds and even Giants make a last second push? I'll break down all of the schedule for the remaining teams jockeying for position to set themselves up for the Hunt For Red October. I'll also discuss the news of Angels Shohei Ohtani cleaning out his locker as he's shut down for the rest of the year (with two weeks to go????) And the Red Sox fire VP of baseball operations, Chaim Bloom after three plus years in Boston. Was this expected or warranted? (50:31) A strange development took place in Columbus over the past few days. With NHL training camps open, Blue Jackets coach Mike Babcock removed himself as rumors came out about him invading privacy of his players, as it was reported, he grilled them over photos in their cell phones and alleged told them to AirPlay them for all to see on the screen during team meetings. When Chip Kelly took over as Oregon's head football coach in 2009, his signature win came during the regular season at Autzen Stadium. On Halloween Night and a blackout Autzen Stadium, Chip Kelly's Ducks demoralized Pete Carroll's USC Trojans 47-20 and brought themselves onto the national stage in College Football. Now, after USC hit rock bottom in 2021 going 4-8, those two programs could once again be poised for nationally televised showdowns. Yesterday's episode featured a discussion of the pros and cons for Oregon Football should USC return to prominence under HC Lincoln Riley. On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin goes back in time to look at some of the biggest wins Oregon has attained over USC on the gridiron. Most notable in 2009 on Halloween Night, there have been some big-time showdowns between the (now) 2 biggest brands on the west coast in college football. Spencer's favorite moment of the Chip Kelly era, in fact, came in the LA Coliseum in the 2010 regular season--among many memorable performances in Oregon-USC football games. Will Richardson has still not formally announced his plans for the 2022-23 college basketball season, but other Ducks have for Dana Altman. Quincy Guerrier, after testing the NBA Draft waters, will indeed be back for Oregon next season. He avoids making the mistakes of past Duck basketball players who left for the pro ranks before they had maximized their potential in college to succeed in the pros. The worst slate of action thus far in college football will take place this weekend. Florida-Georgia will battle in a huge top 10 game and both Utah (Washington) and Oregon (USC) will go on the road in critical conference matches out West. Otherwise, even FSU-Miami has lost some luster. There is a reason Gameday is at SMU-Memphis this weekend.
Eric and Warren pretend to care about last week's games before previewing big time showdowns in Oregon-USC and Utah-Washington.
The Bros do their best to keep this episode free of distractions, but unfortunately some scary characters make their way onto the show. First, they recap an exciting week 9 that featured another huge upset: Kansas State over Oklahoma. They break down the implications of that result for Oklahoma's Playoff chances. They also discuss LSU's win over Auburn and Ohio State's argument for being the best team in the country after yet another blowout victory. Their week 10 picks include a preview of SMU @ Memphis, Utah @ Washington, Oregon @ USC, and Florida vs. Georgia. Finally, they attempt to close out the show with a Questionable Finish before being interrupted by a creepy special guest.

Let's try to look at the Husky game on Saturday impartially. Are we wrong for thinking the Dawgs have a really good chance of winning this game? Oregon, in games where they've faced real opponents, haven't put up all that many points. It's going to be a defensive battle that UW stands a good chance of winning. Bush Hamdan acknowledged last hour that maybe the outside noise was right, and they should have been using Puka more. He could be the difference in this game. We find out what Petros thinks of the matchup, plus his Big 12 game in the Little Apple, the latest from USC, and Leach banning social media. Textimonials react to all of it at 49451.
