On this last week of the month (and last episode of 2023, an eventful year that's been notable for things like Barbenheimer, the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike, the long-awaited passing of Henry Kissinger, and the genocide that Israel is committing against Palestine), Arthur has his buddy and She's All That superfan Robyn Zabukovec return to the podcast to break down the 1980 Christmas slasher horror movie Christmas Evil. The character study it provides of the creepy yet sympathetic Harry Stadling, confusing Coriolanus Snow with Edward Snowden, comparing Zionists to Nazis, and the good versions of 2019's Joker comprise just a few of the topics for this episode. Written and directed by Lewis Jackson, Christmas Evil stars Brandon Maggart, Jeffrey DeMunn, Dianne Hull, Joe Jamrog, Peter Neuman, Elizabeth Ridge, Patricia Richardson, Andy Fenwick, Brian Neville, Peter Friedman, and Raymond J. Thank you for listening to the following films podcast. Today I'm joined by Linda Yellen, Jill Eikenberry, Patricia Richardson, and Jobeth Williams the director and stars of the new film CHANTILLY BRIDGE. For the first half of the interview I'm joined by JoBeth Williams and after the break in the second half I have a group interview with Linda, Jill and Patricia.  Chantilly Bridge reunites a group of lifelong, steadfast friends who are still – in their later years -- chasing their dreams, fighting injustices, and sticking up for their convictions. The women lay bare their lives and deal with important issues that impact all women with humor, humility, humanity, and love. No topic escapes the razor-like wit and insight of these women: equality, sex, menopause, mortality, feminism, parenthood, careers, love, and even “me-too” moments. While women often feel invisible in the world, this film highlights who they are and what they care about.  We experience what women are truly like and what they discuss in a setting where no men are present.  Chantilly Bridge is also about reconnecting with old friends from the past and the beauty of a shared history. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/followingfilms/support

The Equalizer Season 3 Episode 4: In The Money Aired on CBS: October 7, 1987 Directed by: Aaron Lipstadt Written by : Ed Waters & Scott Shepherd Featuring: John Heard (the dad in Home Alone), Dennis Boukiaris (Better Call Saul), Patricia Richardson, Ashley Crow, Oliver Platt (first credit!), Dennis Steinberg Yes this episode feels a little like a snap back to reality after the epic two parter that started the season and the potential Emmy bait acting performance in #3 (Vincent D'Onofrio in Suspicion of Innocence). Still, this one has a lot going for it: a focus on Wall Street, skeevy insider trading, some sneaky audience deception (possibly a first on the show), and some third act stunts complete with a human cannonball net. All that plus a spotlight on a lovely 20 foot patch of grassy coastline just off of some expressway in NYC. @equalizerspod equalizerspodcast at gmail dot com

Patricia Richardson understudied the role of Louise “Gypsy Rose” Lee in the 1974 Broadway revival of Gypsy opposite Angela Lansbury and we will never be the same. We talk about her auditioning for book writer Arthur Laurents, rehearsing with fellow understudy Mary Louise Wilson, and bemoaning Robert Tucker's pissy attitude (I mean, Zan, Nan, Ian). Patricia also revealed to us how network executives lied to her in order for her to sign on for Home Improvement, hosting the Emmys with Ellen DeGeneres (“the worst day of her life”), and whether or not she turned down a role on The West Wing (C.J.? Over a Thanksgiving dinner at Wilson's wildly appointed house, they find out that it's true - he's planning to pack up and move to the jungles of Ecuador. Tim and Jill can't imagine a life without Wilson, especially once Tim meets the frosty couple who're looking to buy his house. In the backyard the following day, Wilson confides in Tim that he's moving to Ecuador because that's where he first met his late wife Katherine, and that he hopes to feel closer to her by returning there. Tim quotes Wilson some Mario Andretti that convinces him that the best way to retain that connection is by staying where he is and keeping her memory alive by sharing it with the people around him. APRIL 9, 2017 - BUH-DUN-DUN-DUH-NUH! From the Comedy News Headquarters on the Internet, it's THE DAILY SHOW WEEKLY, hosted by Vic Shuttee and Chandler Dean. It was the Thursday cultural roller-coaster that’s become oh-so common in the age of Trump but man – but in the AM, Judge Gorsuch is confirmed after a GOP dismantles the Senate Filibuster rule, at lunch comedy legend Don Rickles kicks the bucket at age 90 and by nightfall, Trump is bombing ISIS forces in Syria and warning Russian agencies before asking Congress. Holy shit! By comparison, June ’99 is a cakewalk. It’s a fortnight of inspired segments and historical firsts (The birth of the Arby’s joke, amazingly, is NOT the biggest one!) Plus, Mo Rocca stokes a war between Garfield the cat the American Polka community, Natalie Portman aces Jon’s sneaky high school finals quiz and the first 17 weeks of Jon Stewart’s Daily Show are given the cliff-hanging season finale treatment they’ve always deserved. Patricia Richardson, Suzanne Somers, Jamie Foxx, Harry Connick Jr, Caroline Rhea, Damon Wayans, Timothy Hutton also guest, and ding-dong – Jon receives a special delivery from a pool boy in some very short shorts. The Daily Show Weekly is an unofficial fan podcast designed to serve as a critical companion to the original series, which can be watched in clips at CC.com. Our thoughts and criticism are intended to offer historical reflection and enhance the viewing experience for new and old fans journeying through Jon Stewart’s seminal talk show run. Our awesome album artwork is designed by Felipe Flores Comics!

Today's Guest: Patricia Richardson, actress, "Home Improvement," "The Jensen Project"   Starring in the ABC Televison Network's hit comedy series, HOME IMPROVEMENT, are (top to bottom) Tim Allen, Patricia Richardson, Zachary Ty Bryan, Jonathan Taylor Thomas and Taran Smith. Guys, see if you know where I’m going with this. There’s a point in the male maturation process where you think “Moms are old. Who would be attracted to somebody’s Mom?” One day, you become a dad and suddenly there is nothing hotter than somebody else’s Mom. PATRICIA RICHARDSON AUDIO EXCERPT: "And I look exactly the same! I'm not aging at all!"  Which brings us to Jill Taylor, the long suffering, beleaguered TV wife of Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor on ABC’s long-running sitcom, “Home Improvement.” How could you not find her sexy? She was funny, flirtatious, handled any crap thrown at her and was forever playing hard to get. Anyway, Patricia Richardson, who played Jill—and earned four Emmy nominations for her work—joins us today to talk about her the latest assignment, “The Jensen Project,” airing tonight on NBC at 8 p.m. Patricia Richardson Facebook • Twitter • Instagram • Wikipedia • IMDB The Millionaire's Convenient Arrangement by Jane Peden.
