Timothy Lee Wellman is a predator caught in a Polk County, Florida investigation of Takedown with Chris Hansen. Wellman had been communicating with a decoy posing as a fourteen-year-old girl. Immediately after learning of her age, Wellman asked for pictures of her. He told he decoy that as long as she was "cool" and he wasn't in danger from law enforcement, he was fine with her age. When the decoy told him that she was not a virgin, Wellman said, "Guess nobody has ever ate you up and wore you out. I can eat pussy for days." Timothy Wellman drove around the block several times before deputies apprehended him at his vehicle. He was led into the sting house in handcuffs, greeted by Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd saying, "Welcome to Polk County." During the drive to the sting house, Wellman had been on the phone with his two young children because he "wanted them to tell [him] good night." In the interview with Chris Hansen, Wellman said that he was looking for "conversation, mainly." He stated that he wanted to take the decoy out to eat, but Chris responded, "Sounds like you came over here to eat something different." Chis asked him what he meant when he said in the chat that he wanted to "eat [the decoy's] a**." Wellman clarified that he did not intend on having oral sex with the girl, only "eat all over" the decoy. Chris said that would be oral sex, to which Wellman agreed but said that wasn't his intention. He never fully explained what he meant. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's judgement is already in question after he extended an invitation to the Pizzagate conspiracy theorist. Hegseth included far-right influencer Jack Posobiec - offering him a media invitaton on his first official trip to Europe this week. Posobiec might not be able to roll with Hegseth as his online posts indicate that he is already in Ukraine with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Clearly, Posobiec is in demand by Trump administration officials despite pushing the Pizzagate lie and whipping up such a furor that an armed man went looking for the non-existent pizza parlor basement where Democrats were alleged to have been doing horrible things and fired a shot in the restaurant. No injuries. We welcome our favorite hockey fan, journalist Michael Shure to the show to discuss that and so much more. We are off to explore Friday Fabulous Florida where Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has a special Valentines messsge for us. The Culture Blaster, Michael Snyder, brings us all the best entertainment offerings this week, from the theaters to streaming options.
In the second hour of the Marc Cox Morning Show, we dive into multiple key discussions. First, Pete Hegseth brings back Fort Bragg, sparking a conversation about military history. Marc replays a segment from the Mark Reardon Show with Anson Frericks, where they break down Anheuser-Busch's efforts to distance itself from the Dylan Mulvaney controversy. Fox News' Eben Brown joins to talk about ongoing challenges in deportation enforcement, including Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd's call for President Trump to lift restrictions on ICE detainers. The team explores how better coordination between local and federal law enforcement can enhance safety and efficiency. They also touch on Missouri's push to track immigration status in real-time and discuss immigration policy in the context of the Trump administration's stance. To wrap it up, Ethan brings us In Other News with updates on Kid Rock's stage drama, Vince Neil's jet crash, Super Bowl protests, and the latest issue hitting Trader Joe's—an egg limit. #MarcCoxMorningShow #EbenBrown #PeteHegseth #SheriffGradyJudd #DeportationEnforcement #ImmigrationPolicy #AnheuserBusch #DylanMulvaney #KidRock #VinceNeil #SuperBowl #TraderJoes #InOtherNews
A 17-year-old Florida teen, previously cleared in the fatal shooting of his father after claiming self-defense, is now accused of stabbing his mother to death—and newly released police bodycam footage reveals chilling comments he made about not wanting to become a “murderer.” In the video, captured in November 2023 by a Charlotte County Sheriff's Office deputy and released by local Fox affiliate WFTX, Collin Griffith can be heard telling his grandmother that during an argument with his mother, Catherine Griffith, 39, he said, “I'm not a murderer” and “I'm not a psychopath.” “I'm just trying to peacefully leave or peacefully coexist,” Collin tells his grandmother in the recording. “She kept telling me to shut up and shut up, and when I wouldn't shut up, she hit me.” At the time, Collin was sitting in the back of a patrol car, having been arrested for domestic violence. He described feeling trapped in a “constant state of fight or flight” and acknowledged fears he might lash out at his mother: “If I think she's going to do something, even if she's not, I might act,” he said. “I'm not going to, like, go crazy or anything. But I'm not sure, honestly.” Asked whether he was unsure about hurting his mother, he replied, “Only if she tries to hurt me.” Less than a year after that exchange, Collin allegedly killed Catherine on Sept. 8 in a 55-and-over community in Auburndale, about 50 miles east of Tampa—where his grandmother resides and where the November video was originally filmed. Authorities say he called 911 afterward, claiming his mother “fell on a knife” following a “very long fight.” Police found her stabbed multiple times in the neck, injuries that Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described as “not reasonable or plausible” to have been accidental. “The medical examiner said it's just not reasonable or plausible that she died the way that he said she did,” Judd explained. “It just didn't happen.” Collin is now charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond in the Polk County Jail. Investigators have requested that prosecutors charge him as an adult. According to officials, this was not the teen's first deadly encounter with a parent. In February 2023, Collin allegedly killed his father in Oklahoma, yet no charges were brought after he successfully claimed self-defense. When deputies arrested him in connection with his mother's death, Judd says he appeared “calm, cool, collected” and showed “zero remorse,” telling officers, “I know my rights. I want an attorney.” Collin's grandmother can be heard in the bodycam video describing his resistance to living with his mother: “Collin did not want to come back home,” she told the deputy. “He said, ‘No, I want foster care' … You have issues you need to work on.” Authorities say Collin previously pushed his mother to the ground and stomped on her after she revoked his video game privileges, an incident that led to an arrest and failed self-defense claim. In an earlier episode, he was involuntarily committed for making a threatening statement: “I'll kill myself, or I'll kill my mother by shooting or stabbing her,” according to police. Collin's case now moves forward in the Florida courts, where he faces the possibility of being tried as an adult for first-degree murder. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Ring footage captured the chilling moment when 21-year-old pre-med student Emmanuel Espinoza concealed a knife behind his back before brutally stabbing his mother, Elvia Espinoza, over 70 times at her front door. The tragic event unfolded as Emmanuel was heading to a family gathering for his grandfather, when his mother asked him to stay with her at her residence two hours south of Orlando for the weekend. The disturbing video, timestamped around 2 p.m. on Saturday, shows Emmanuel approaching his mother's home dressed in casual attire, concealing something in his left hand, which was later revealed to be a knife. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd disclosed that Emmanuel, listening to Jay Z and Kanye West's “No Church In the Wild” on his approach, swiftly attacked his mother the moment she opened the door, stabbing her repeatedly in a meticulously planned assault. “He knocked on the door, and his beautiful mother was so excited to see her son. She opened the door,” Polk County Sheriff said as he played the footage during a press briefing. The Sheriff said that Espinoza charged into the house and started stabbing his mother the second the door was opened. He added that Espinoza told investigators he knew where to stab his mother for maximum effect because of his biology classes. “We have another audio that we're not going to play from the inside of the house, where [his mom is] screaming, ‘Manny, Manny, Manny' and he's not saying one word. He stabbed her in excess of 70 times,” Sheriff Judd said. “And as he was standing at the kitchen sink, washing himself off and the knife, he wanted to ask his mother for the Neosporin, for the cut on his hand. But he noticed she was dead.” Espinoza then called 911 and confessed to the murders. Sheriff Judd further revealed that Emmanuel harbored feelings of anger towards his mother for years, expressing a desire to kill her, which he finally acted upon. Despite his mother's pleas during the attack, Emmanuel remained silent, inflicting more wounds even as she attempted to rise from the floor. Following the gruesome incident, Emmanuel dialed 911 and confessed to dispatchers, leading to his arrest and subsequent charge of first-degree murder. The community was left reeling from the tragedy, particularly as Elvia Espinoza was known as a beloved second-grade teacher at Frostproof Ben Hill Griffin Jr. Elementary School, cherished for her vibrant personality and love for her family. Emmanuel Espinoza made his first court appearance on April 7, with a bond set at $5,000 for destroying or tampering with evidence, and no bond granted for the charge of first-degree murder. In a shocking and tragic turn of events, Emmanuel Espinoza, a 21-year-old pre-med student at the University of Florida, has been charged with first-degree murder in the brutal stabbing death of his mother, Elvia Espinoza, in Frostproof, Florida. The incident, described by authorities as an inexplicable act of violence, has left the community reeling in disbelief. According to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, the harrowing attack occurred on Saturday afternoon when Emmanuel visited his mother's home for a family event. Despite appearing calm and composed, Emmanuel's actions were chillingly premeditated, as he arrived at the house with a small knife hidden behind his back and playing music through his AirPods. "His beautiful mother, who was so excited to see her son, opened the door. The second she opened the door, he charged in and started stabbing her," Sheriff Judd recounted. Emmanuel allegedly stabbed his mother over 70 times, relentlessly attacking her until she succumbed to her injuries. In a perplexing confession to detectives, Emmanuel revealed that his motive for the murder stemmed from years of pent-up frustration with his mother. Despite professing love for her, he admitted to harboring a deep-seated resentment, claiming that she had consistently irritated him over the years. "We talked to him and he confessed. He said, 'You know, I have wanted to kill my mother for many, many years because she got on my nerves,'" Sheriff Judd stated. "He really loved her, but she irritated him and he made up his mind today on his way from Gainesville that he would murder her, and that's exactly what he did." Emmanuel told detectives that he had cut his hand in the stabbing. When he went to the kitchen sink to wash his hands and the knife, "he wanted to ask his mother for the Neosporin for the cut on his hand, but he noticed she was dead," Judd said. Emmanuel's confession sent shockwaves through the community, as Elvia Espinoza was widely regarded as a devoted mother and beloved second-grade teacher at Ben Hill Griffin Elementary. Her sudden and tragic death has left her colleagues and students devastated. "Her students and colleagues greatly loved her, and her sudden, unexpected death is a devastating loss," Polk County Public Schools expressed in a statement. The senseless act of violence has left authorities grappling for answers, as Emmanuel had no history of drug or alcohol abuse, mental health issues, or prior criminal record. Described as introverted and quiet, Emmanuel was a valedictorian at his high school and was regarded as a genius by those who knew him. As the investigation unfolds, the community mourns the loss of Elvia Espinoza, a dedicated educator and cherished mother, whose life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence perpetrated by her own son. Recognized as a leader in the law enforcement profession, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd lives by the importance of first valuing the people he serves that makes every community a thriving place of peace and order. Join me in this episode of Someone Gets Me — Sheriff Grady Judd Speaks On Visionary Leadership. ▶️ Key point covered in this episode: ✔️Notable positive changes in Polk County are attributed to Sheriff Grady Judd's leadership. A visionary and hard worker, he was recently recognized as "Sheriff of the Year" by Major County Sheriffs of America. Sheriff Grady shares he has always wanted to work in law enforcement since he was four years old. "That was my dream, and I grew up and got to do exactly that. How many people can say they wake up every morning before the alarm goes off and come to work all excited to help someone? I get to do that every day." ✔️The toxicity of American politics has created a huge divide in recent years. Sheriff Grady believes that upholding his mission of providing help to all regardless of affiliation, color, or interests is what is most needed now. "I dismiss all of this craziness that we've seen the last few years because that's not the America I know, the America I grew up in. I get up every day, and I choose to see the good in people and respond to people who are struggling. And then we get to provide that help, and that's pretty special to me." ✔️For Sheriff Grady Judd, law enforcement is impossible without appreciation and concern for the people he serves. "You've got to love people first before you can lead them anywhere. And I love the people of Polk County, and I love the people in the Sheriff's Office. Until you care about them as an individual first, nothing else matters. And that's why I believe that I've been ultimately successful because people you love and care for will reciprocate." Grady Judd began his career at the Polk County Sheriff 's Office (Florida) in 1972 as a dispatcher. After transferring to the Patrol Division in 1974, he quickly progressed through the ranks – holding every rank from Sergeant to Colonel. Polk County overwhelmingly elected Grady to serve as Sheriff in 2004. Sheriff Judd has earned higher education degrees through the Masters level – having obtained both Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Rollins College. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Senior Management Institute for Police, the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar, and the FBI National Executive Institute. He was a participant of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) Law Enforcement Exchange Program (LEEP). Sheriff Judd has taught as an adjunct professor at both the University of South Florida and Florida Southern College. He is a Polk County School Board Hall of Fame inductee, a past recipient of Polk State College's prestigious Distinguished Alumni Award, the 2008 Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Citizen Award, Protect Our Children Junny Award, the 2013 Callyo's Leaders in Online Child Protection Award, as well as the 2013 Church Women United Human Rights Award. He continues to serve the community on several boards and committees, including the Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE) and Polk Vision. He is a past President of the Florida Sheriffs Association and the immediate past President of the Major County Sheriffs of America, a national organization serving counties with a population of 500,000 or more. In 2020, he was appointed by the President of the United States to the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention committee, for a three-year term. Grady has been married to Marisa since 1972, and they have two adult sons and 13 grandchildren.
