The o”ST”-14 Groza Kit from Stuff and Things is a simplified engineering copy of the Russian OTs-14 Groza bullpup conversion, designed as a bolt-on kit for PSA Krinkov/AK-74U pattern firearms in .300 Blackout or 5.56. The reel from stuffandthingsinc announces that Grozas are shipping this week and displays kit components including the carry handle with installed rear sight, grip module with installed trigger, and linkage. It is an all-metal kit with black phosphate finish that requires no permanent modification to the host firearm (though some fitting may be needed due to AK tolerances). PROOF RESEARCH(Nick) Pxt A New Era of Rifle Barrel Technology The PXT story began around 2018, as the U.S. military pushed to extract greater performance from existing weapons platforms. That effort led PROOF into medium-caliber cannon barrel development and forced a complete reassessment of rifling profiles, twist rates, pressure, projectile behavior, and barrel… BULLET POINTS PEW REPORT Glacier National Park Grizzly Bear Attack on Anthony Pollio On or about May 3, 2026, 33-year-old Anthony Pollio was killed by a bear on the Mount Brown trail in Glacier National Park. A can of bear spray was found near the site. The article contrasts this with the 2014 Mount Brown Trail incident where Brian Murphy successfully stopped a charging grizzly using bear spray followed by one shot from a .357 Magnum revolver at 7-10 feet, after which the bear went down and stopped moving. The .357 Magnum round did not kill the bear but incapacitated it temporarily. No recorded deaths in North America when a handgun was fired in defense against a bear. PEW REPORT Arsenal Inc. Open Letter to NSSF on Virginia Assault Weapons Ban Arsenal Inc., a Nevada-based firearms manufacturer and importer (associated with K-VAR.com), published an open letter dated May 22, 2026, responding to Virginia's newly signed assault weapons and high-capacity magazine ban effective July 1, 2026. The letter frames the law as an unconstitutional restriction that creates legal uncertainty, compliance burdens, and business paralysis for citizens, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, ranges, and trainers nationwide, citing precedents in California and Washington. Arsenal Inc. announces immediate heavy discounts and prioritized shipping for Virginia customers through June 19, 2026, while calling on the NSSF and the broader firearms industry to provide coordinated legal, grassroots, and public support, treating the issue as national rather than state-specific. PEW REPORT AI Could Render the Federal Ban on Creating a Gun Registry Obsolete Article discusses a University of Wyoming Firearms Research Center working paper arguing that AI systems could create ‘registry-equivalent knowledge' by extracting, linking, and inferring firearm ownership data from ATF's existing 921 million digitized records (including Form 4473s, out-of-business dealer records, and NICS metadata containing names, addresses, and serial numbers). This would bypass the intent of 18 U.S.C. § 926(a) prohibiting any system of registration of firearms, owners, or transactions, especially as federal AI policy integrates more data. No specific firearms, accessories, or field gear are mentioned. GUN FIGHTS Play the best Price Is Right-style GunBroker game on the internet. GOING BALLISTIC BEARINGARMS.COM(Savage) Washington State Gun Control Laws Fail to Curb Crime on Seattle's Aurora Avenue Seattle residents struggle with rising crime despite Washington state's gun control laws. Washington state has enacted multiple gun control measures including waiting periods, red flag laws, universal background checks, high-capacity magazine bans, and assault weapon bans. Despite these, residents near Aurora Avenue in Seattle report uncontrolled drug dealing, prostitution, and shootings, with minimal response from city officials. Neighbors have erected reinforced barriers and posted “No Gunfire” signs while the mayor's office announced increased patrols by the Gun Violence Reduction Unit and community-led efforts; the article argues the focus on lawful gun ownership over criminal enforcement, combined with local taxes driving out FFLs, has left residents scrambling for protection and exercising Second Amendment rights. BREITBART(Savage) Indiana Police Chief Earl D. Mayo Faces Felony Charges for Allegedly Selling Guns from Evidence Room The police chief of New Chicago, Indiana, Earl D. Mayo, is facing felony charges over accusations that he sold guns from police investigations to a pawn shop. Earl D. Mayo, 45, Chief of the New Chicago, Indiana Police Department, was arrested in Clark County, Ohio and charged with seven felonies (two counts of theft, two counts of official misconduct, one count of attempted obstruction of justice, and two counts of unlawful possession of anabolic steroids) plus one misdemeanor theft count. He is accused of selling guns seized during police investigations to a pawn shop. A 47-year-old woman, Taneka Roshawn Borders, faces related charges of attempted obstruction of justice and possession of anabolic steroids for allegedly attempting to repurchase one of the guns on his behalf with $600. BEARINGARMS.COM(Savage) Virginia Governor Spanberger and AG Jay Jones Respond to Prosecutors Refusing to Enforce Assault Firearm and Large-Capacity Magazine Ban Virginia officials respond as prosecutors refuse to enforce new gun and magazine ban laws. Multiple Commonwealth's Attorneys and sheriffs across Virginia have publicly stated they will not enforce new laws banning the sale, manufacture, transfer of assault firearms and magazines over 15 rounds, plus a public carry prohibition on assault firearms, citing unconstitutionality. The measures take effect July 1. AG Jay Jones and a spokesperson for Governor Spanberger issued statements urging enforcement, emphasizing the laws were passed by the General Assembly to reduce gun violence. BEARINGARMS.COM(Savage) The Left Seems to Be Waking Up to Racist Gun Control Laws – Bearing Arms (Tom Knighton, May 26, 2026) Exploring racial bias in gun control laws and the ongoing fight for equal Second Amendment rights. This Bearing Arms opinion column discusses a Slate article by Aymann Ismail detailing his multi-year struggle to obtain a Firearm Purchaser Identification in New Jersey due to discretionary permitting practices by the Newark Police Department. The piece highlights historical racist motivations behind many early U.S. gun control measures (targeting non-whites and Catholics) and draws a through-line to modern subjective permitting systems that produce racial disparities in approval rates. It references the 1868 Camilla Massacre in Georgia as the origin of a now-invalidated ‘public gathering' carry prohibition and argues that the Supreme Court's Bruen decision properly eliminated such discretionary laws prone to abuse. GUNS.COM(Savage) Firearm Freedom Act (H.R. by Rep. Jimmy Patronis, R-FL) to Repeal Hughes Amendment The Firearm Freedom Act would eliminate the legacy Hughes Amendment that bars the purchase, ownership, and transfer of newly manufactured machine guns made after 1986. The Firearm Freedom Act, introduced by Republican Rep. Jimmy Patronis of Florida in May 2026, seeks to repeal the Hughes Amendment to the Firearm Owners' Protection Act of 1986. The Hughes Amendment prohibits the purchase, ownership, and transfer of newly manufactured machine guns made after 1986. The bill is endorsed by Gun Owners of America; no cosponsors, passage status, or court cases are mentioned in the source article. PEW REPORT GOA and GOF File Lawsuit Challenging Virginia SB749 Assault Weapons Ban and SB727 Public Carry Ban Gun Owners of America (GOA), Gun Owners Foundation (GOF), Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL), and 2A journalist John Crump filed suit against Virginia SB749 and SB727. The bills criminalize purchase and transfer of commonly-owned firearms and standard-capacity magazines while restricting public carry/self-defense; both take effect July 1. The complaint seeks declaratory judgment and injunction, arguing the measures violate the Second Amendment and Article I, Section 13 of the Virginia Constitution. PEW REPORT Nebraska Woman Injured by Shotgun Accidentally Discharged by Dog in Vehicle, Scottsbluff On Saturday in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, a woman standing at a traffic light near a convenience store was struck in the arm by a shotgun pellet after a dog in the back seat of a nearby truck triggered the discharge of a loaded shotgun.

Canada Immigration IRCC -2025–2027 Immigration Levels Plan, released by on October 24,2025  2025–2027 Immigration Levels Plan  Each year, the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship tables the Immigration Levels Plan, a forward-looking snapshot of immigration targets for the next three years.  The plan provides permanent resident admissions targets for 2025, with notional commitments for 2026 and 2027. For the first time, we're extending our levels plan to also include targets for temporary residents, taking into account the full scope of all newcomers and helping reduce temporary resident volumes to 5% of Canada's population by the end of 2026.  Development of the levels plan  When developing the Levels Plan, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) considers  priorities and objectives for immigration, including those set out in the Immigration Refugee and Protection Act economic and regional needs international obligations and commitments processing capacity the capacity to settle, integrate and retain newcomers Throughout the year, IRCC engages with a broad range of stakeholders and partners, including provinces and territories, to help inform our plan. IRCC also conducts public opinion research through surveys and focus groups with newcomers, Canadians living in rural areas, Francophones living in communities outside of Quebec, as well as Indigenous Peoples.  Findings from these consultations and public engagement initiatives informed the Immigration Levels Plan and are published in the Levels Consultation Report.  Permanent resident targets  Permanent resident programs include economic streams, family reunification, refugees and protected persons, and humanitarian and compassionate admissions.  This year's levels plan reduces permanent resident targets starting in 2025 and forecasts decreases for the following two years, resulting in a pause in population growth in the short term to achieve well-managed, sustainable growth and economic prosperity for the long term.  The plan  represents an overall decrease of 105,000 admissions in 2025, as compared to projected 2025 levels prioritizes in-Canada applicants and pathways for those already here More than 40% of anticipated permanent resident admissions in 2025 will be from those who are already in Canada as temporary residents. Research has demonstrated that newcomers with in-Canada experience have positive long-term success. These skilled, educated newcomers can continue to support the workforce and economy, without placing additional demands on our social services. Adjustments will be made to our economic immigration streams to prioritize transitions of workers already here to permanent residents and to be responsive to labour market needs—our in-Canada focus. We will put emphasis on our federal economic priorities in programs, including the Canadian experience class and regional immigration programs, to attract workers we need, such as in health care and trades occupations. focuses on economic immigration, with approximately 62% of total permanent resident admissions that will be dedicated to the economic class, in key sectors such as health and trades, by 2027 continues to reunite families and loved ones, including spouses, children, parents and grandparents. Season 5: Episode 204In this episode of North American Ag Spotlight podcast, host Chrissy Wozniak welcomes Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller for an in-depth discussion on the Biden Administration's recent changes to the Horse Protection Act. Commissioner Miller explains how the new regulations, originally intended to curb the inhumane practice of soring in Tennessee Walking Horses, have been drastically expanded to cover all horse breeds and events. He warns that these overreaching rules could place an undue burden on horse owners, breeders, and event organizers, requiring costly inspections and creating impractical restrictions—such as banning common fly spray or minor abrasions from routine training.Beyond the Horse Protection Act, Commissioner Miller addresses broader concerns about government overreach in agriculture, touching on issues such as the USDA's response to screw worm outbreaks, the push to list the monarch butterfly as endangered, and the agency's handling of avian flu in dairy cattle. He highlights the critical role of agriculture in America and the need for policymakers to apply common sense rather than excessive regulation. The conversation also explores potential solutions, including a coalition of state agriculture commissioners pushing back against federal overreach. Commissioner Miller shares his optimism about the new administration's commitment to reducing unnecessary regulations and restoring balance to the industry. He also discusses his lifelong passion for agriculture, his mission to educate the public, and his commitment to protecting the livelihoods of farmers and ranchers. The episode wraps up with information on how listeners can stay engaged, including subscribing to Commissioner Miller's press updates and tuning into his television show, Texas Agriculture Matters - which can be found here - https://texasagriculture.gov/News-Events/Texas-Agriculture-Matters-TV-Show. Learn more at - https://texasagriculture.gov For those passionate about preserving agricultural freedoms, this is an episode you won't want to miss!#agpolicy #farming #agricultureNorth American Ag is devoted to highlighting the people & companies in agriculture who impact our industry and help feed the world. Idaho Mother Sentenced to Over 7 Years for Soliciting Murder Through Fake 'Rent-a-Hitman' Website

DeAnn Parkin, a mother of three from Ovid, Idaho, has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison for attempting to solicit a murder through a satirical "Rent-a-Hitman" website. The sentencing occurred last Thursday in Senior U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill's courtroom, following Parkin's admission of guilt nearly a year after contacting the fake site. Parkin, now 31, confessed to seeking someone to murder a woman living with her ex-husband in Wyoming. Identified only as "L.A.," Parkin accused the woman of having an affair with her husband and causing turmoil in her family due to drug abuse and alleged involvement in prostitution. Rent-A-Hitman is a satirical website that promotes itself as the ultimate solution to targeted problems, dubbing it the "Point and Click Solution" and boasting a claim of being "100% HIPPA compliant" (Hitman Information Privacy and Protection Act of 1964) on its landing page. The site features a section dedicated to customer testimonials, showcasing comments and blurred images for anonymity. One such testimonial from Phil M. of Florida lauds the service, stating, "Guido and his public relations crew at RENT-A-HITMAN were able to resolve a five-year dispute in a matter of days. Highly recommended!" Furthermore, the website offers various discount packages catering to different groups, including seniors, military personnel, and even Walmart associates. Notably, it extends a nod to Joseph Allen Maldonado, famously known as Joe Exotic, with an additional 10% off if customers mention "Cool Cats and Kittens. Parkin's intentions came to light when she reportedly provided her Idaho address and phone number, along with detailed accusations against the target, in an application on the website: “I would like (the intended victim) to stay away from my husband and my family. She has helped ruin our family and broken it up with her drug abuse and her prostitution services. She has ruined her autistic son life and leaves him with strangers along w my husband to take care of him and uses her son to get my husband to come back to her and then get him more hooked on meth so she can go out and do her own thing while breaking other families lives.” “Make her go away where she won't ruin no one's lives no more stops contacting my husband, give her son a better life. She has ruined my family life enough that who knows if it's even possible to be fixed. Take her to another continent or make her disappear completely where no one hears from her again anything to make her go aways for good please and thank you.” Upon receiving this information, the website owner promptly notified the authorities, leading to an official investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which commenced on May 23. Subsequent exchanges between Parkin and an undercover ATF agent posing as a hitman revealed the plot details. Text messages retrieved from court documents unveiled Parkin's readiness to pay for the execution, her fear of law enforcement intervention, and her indifference to the potential consequences, even expressing a willingness to sacrifice her own life. On May 24, the agent and Parkin spoke on the phone while the agent was secretly recording. During the discussion, Parkin reportedly stated she was “willing to do anything” regarding her problem and that she “did not care if it means her being in a six-foot hole… I'm fine with that.” On June 6, Parkin met with the undercover agent at her workplace in Bear Lake County. During the encounter, Mrs. Parkin reportedly confirmed her resolve to proceed with the plan, expressing a disturbing lack of concern for the well-being of the intended victim and her own son. Following this meeting, Parkin handed over $100 in cash and a diamond ring she claimed was worth $1,500, as a down payment for the hit. She also agreed to pay the remainder in installments. U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit of the District of Idaho condemned Parkin's actions, labeling them "shocking." He emphasized law enforcement's vigilance in preventing such crimes and vowed to hold violent offenders accountable, regardless of the nature of their criminal conduct.
