About our Guest Craig Rochat joined Lotus & Ming in January 2011, partnering with his wife and company founder, Karen Lavecky. Following a successful expansion and growth program the company re- branded in 2016 to become Land of Plenty Food Co. Craig began his career in the Hospitality and Retail industry in South Africa, Craig trained and worked as a chef before moving into management. In 2003 Craig joined The Food Fund Management Group, heading operations in Australia, The UAE and South Africa. This was followed by a 4-year stint with AHL Group as head of Gold Class Cinemas and then 4 years with David Jones as the National Buyer for the David Jones Food-halls, before partnering in his own business. Over the past 11 years Craig has driven the Land of Plenty business from strategic, operational and financial direction which is where his strength lies. The impact of covid was significant for the group with approximately 90% of customers forced to close in the 7 days post the first lockdown of March 2023. In conjunction with an Advisory Board, the group set about navigating the next 2 ½ years and developed an investment and acquisition strategy. It is from this strategy that the group delivered record sales revenue and profit. Cette semaine, je rencontre Laurence Rochat. Laurence a eu une exceptionnelle carrière sportive de skieuse de fond, durant laquelle elle s'est confrontée aux épreuves nécessaires pour monter sur les podiums, jusqu'à cette médaille de bronze aux Jeux Olympiques de Salt Lake City en 2002. Et puis, il y a eu le deuil de son compagnon Philippe Rochat, le chef triplement étoilé au Michelin, du Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville de Crissier. Epreuves choisies ou pas, Laurence a cherché à tirer de son parcours des réflexions et des outils pour se connaître de l'intérieur. Rien de théorique dans tout cela, simplement une curiosité sincère pour préserver sa joie de vivre. Depuis, en plus de sa position d'ambassatrice chez Audemars Piguet, elle fait des conférences et des ateliers pour permettre à celles et ceux qui traversent des épreuves, de découvrir qu'elles sont les portes d'entrée au bonheur que nous cherchons tous.   Qu'est-ce qu'une vie réussie ? C'est la question de la semaine.
