In the frozen landscape of Finnish winter, 1885, the quiet croft of Efraim Martin in Ylöjärvi became the center of local attention thanks to a series of unexplainable events that saw almost the entire neighbourhood crowd into the small farmhouse. Rumours of the devils and demons wound through the township, as neighbors swore they saw an invisible force cause havoc throughout the otherwise peaceful home. The story spread like the winter frost, and soon the authorities themselves were forced to ask the question: was this trickery, or had the Devil truly come to Ylöjärvi?SOURCES Stenius, J. 2025-10-29 | Silicon Wafers 043 | Coup Rumours in Moscow: Cracks in the regime, signalling for purges, or dreamt up for clickbait performance in the fevered imaginations of commentators? Coup rumours swirl again in Moscow. Is it just Telegram fever—and wishful think on the part of the dissident opposition — or is the sanctions shockwave finally prying open rifts among Russia's elites? We'll cut through the noise: What the new US–EU energy sanctions actually do, where the elite money is moving, what arrests and asset grabs tell us, and how the Kremlin's war narrative around Pokrovsk collides with facts. ----------Partner on this video: KYIV OF MINE Watch the trailer now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arJUcE1rxY0'Kyiv of Mine' is a documentary series about Ukraine's beautiful capital, Kyiv. Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 6ú lá de mí Dheireadh Fómhair, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1989 tháinig sé amach go raibh na ticéid a raibh chun dul ar dhíol do na cluichí sacar in Éirinn chun a bheith ar dhíol chuig na sraith sacar, cumann sacar agus lucht tacaíochta dílis an chlub. I 2001 bhí ráflaí ag dul timpeall Cill Dalua le cé a raibh an bhean a bhuaigh 1.4 milliúin punt sa Lotto tar éis a cheannaigh sí an ticéad I siopa sa bhaile. Tháinig ráflaí amach go raibh sé dhá Gharda ón bhaile a bhuaigh an t-airgead agus bhí daoine ag dul suas chuig na Gardaí ag rá comhghairdeas dóibh. Tháinig sé amach tar éis nach raibh sé an bheirt Gharda. I 2002 bhí forbraíocht iontach ag dul ar aghaidh ag Stradavoher. Sin Black Box le Ride On Time – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 1989. Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 1979 chuaigh Led Zeppelin chuig uimhir a haon I Meiriceá lena halbam In Through The Out Door. Tháinig siad amach le sé leagan den albam leis an pictiúr céanna ag sé uillinn difriúil. I 1998 tháinig vótáil amach ó iris darbh ainm Time Out. Ainmnigh siad na daoine is cáiliúla ó na príomh 30 bhliain. Bhí Marvin Gaye sa cúigiú áit, James Brown ag uimhir a 4, Bob Marley ag uimhir a 3, The Beatles sa dara háit agus bhí David Bowie ag uimhir a haon. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh Gerry Adams I mBéal Feirste I 1948 agus rugadh aisteoir Roshon Fegan I Meiriceá ar an lá seo I 1991 agus seo chuid de na rudaí a rinne sé. Beidh mé ar ais libh amárach le heagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo. First, the word got out that two gardai in the local station had won the prize, and people were coming up to them on the street to congratulate them. Locals who inquired about these two named officers were soon put right. 2002 – An exciting and innovative student village development at Stradavohcr. Thurles could solve the accommodation difficulties currently being faced by third-level students in Tipperary. The development of fifty tax-relief townhouses would bring new life into the locality. That was Black Box with Ride On Time – the biggest song on this day in 1989 Onto music news on this day In 1979 Led Zeppelin's In Through The Out Door was at No.1 on the US album chart. Six versions of the cover were released, each depicting the same bar scene photographed from one of six different angles. 1998 A music industry poll was published by London Magazine 'Time Out', naming the top stars from the past 30 years. 5th place was Marvin Gaye, 4th; James Brown, 3rd; Bob Marley, 2nd; The Beatles and first place went to David Bowie And finally celebrity birthdays on this day – Gerry Adams was born in Belfast in 1948 and actor Roshon Fegan was born in America on this day in 1991 and this is some of the stuff he has done. Next week, I'm going to be publishing an episode with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham about the making of the song “Frozen Love,” from their only album as the duo Buckingham Nicks. That song is what eventually led to them joining Fleetwood Mac. So in anticipation of next week's episode, I thought it would be great to go back seven years and revisit this Fleetwood Mac episode from 2018, about the making of “Go Your Own Way.” I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you'll come back to hear the Buckingham Nicks episode.-Lindsey Buckingham is a singer-songwriter, a guitarist, and a producer. In 1974, he joined the band Fleetwood Mac, along with Stevie Nicks, his girlfriend at the time. A few year later, in 1977, Fleetwood Mac released the album Rumours, which would go on to sell over 40 million copies and become the eighth highest-selling album in history. In this episode, Lindsey Buckingham breaks down “Go Your Own Way," a song he wrote for that album about his relationship with Stevie Nicks. For more, visit songexploder.net/fleetwood-mac.

Thursday afternoon means a fresh episode of Real Life was recorded, edited, and is ready to help you wrap up the week. On today's podcast, the guys discussed the Oilers' two-game win streak, trade rumours, most hated opponents, and much more. The guys kicked off the Thursday episode of Real Life with some Oilers talk after the boys picked up a pair of wins over the Canucks and Rangers. Somehow, talking about those two wins led to a discussion about potential trade targets for Edmonton, even though it's way too early to really even discuss the possibilities. Following the trade talks down the rabbithole, the guys debated about who they would rather have in a trade: Tage Thompson or Ilya Sorokin. From there, the discussion shifted to the players or opponents we irrationally hate just because they played for an opposing team. Whether it was a former Flame like Robyn Regehr crushing Ales Hemsky to the Dallas Stars running the show during the playoffs in the late 90s, there were plenty of options to choose from, and the reasons for hating them were all over the map. If anything, this exercise was a trip down memory lane and a reminder of how long some of these memories can last. Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast with an array of topics, including the Jays trying to even up the series in Seattle, the Oilers looking for a third consecutive win, Ike Howard's spot in the lineup, and whatever else popped into anyone's mind. Needless to say, the last chunk of the podcast was a classic dose of Real Life because no single topic seemed to last more than a minute or two. Structure? Kinda. Bouncing all over the place? Absolutely. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Issues around potential defamatory claims on social media are in the spotlight - after false accusations against a Kiwi richlister. Mat Mowbray's been incorrectly named on Tiktok as the member of a wealthy family convicted of having child abuse material. The real person convicted has permanent name suppression. Auckland University Senior Law Lecturer Nikki Chamberlain says false rumours on social media are a real problem. She told Mike Hosking platforms do have time to respond to complaints. Chamberlain says the horse has already bolted to some extent, because it's been up for a period and shared by various people. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In December 1993, 25-year-old father of two Paul Logan was lured from his home in Consett, County Durham, by a mysterious late-night phone call. Hours later, his body was found in a frozen field on the outskirts of town - brutally beaten in what detectives described as a targeted and pre-planned attack.Despite hundreds of witnesses interviewed, countless leads, and several arrests, no one has ever been charged with Paul's murder. Rumours of underworld links, false accusations, and community silence have clouded the case for over thirty years, leaving Paul's family still searching for the truth. In this episode of British Murders, I revisit one of the North East's most haunting unsolved cases - a crime that shocked a tight-knit community and continues to baffle detectives decades later. If you have any information about the murder of Paul Logan, please contact Northumbria Police on 101, or reach out anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.Join my Patreon community at patreon.com/britishmurders for exclusive perks, including early access to ad-free episodes, exclusive episodes and content, exciting giveaways, and welcome goodies! Starting from his pre-fame days in the coastal town of Deepcut. we learn of Graham's blue-collar upbringing and how the fates of him and the band Brinsley Schwarz came together to form a perfect team.
