In our third installment of Love and Legal Tech, we talk with Ab Saraswat and Priti Saraswat. Ab and Priti met while training to be barristers in the UK. They were on opposing debate teams, and Ab proposed within a year of meeting Priti. They have been married for almost a decade. Though they didn't originally intend to work together, they both ended up at legal tech company Litera for several years but in different roles. People were surprised to later learn they were married. Currently, Ab is the Chief Revenue Officer at legal project management startup Lupl. Ab is also the podcast host at Fringe Legal. Priti is the Legal Tech Consulting Manager at Baker Hostetler's alternative legal services provider IncuBaker. Though their roles differ, being in the same industry allows them to bounce ideas off each other. However, the blurred lines between personal and professional lives can be challenging. They try not to talk about work on vacation. Professionally, they handle disagreements through discussion and debate thanks to their backgrounds. They present their opinions but don't fight about them, often agreeing to disagree. Socially, they set expectations ahead of time for how long they'll stay at events. They “divide and conquer” at conferences by networking separately but checking in. The common reaction now is that it's cool they work in the same industry because they understand each other's challenges. They want to stand on their own professionally, not just be known in relation to each other. Their advice to other couples considering working together is to focus on communication and keep an open mind when sharing opinions. In the Vedic tradition, learning with a Guru is essential for wisdom and blessings to flow in our lives. What makes any Guru great is the Shaastra. There is no Guru without the Shaastra and the Shaastra cannot be learnt without a Guru. The select verses of what is known as the Guru Stotram, were selected by Pujya Swami Dayānanda Saraswatī. These verses are found in the Guru Gita, a text of 274 shlokas. Guru Gita itself is from Skanda Purana, one of the 18 Puranas. These beautiful shlokas talk about the glory of a guru, role and necessity of a guru in one's life, and the benefit of the pursuit of self knowledge. It is easy for the one who has a Guru to have reverence for Ishvara, Shaastra and the Guru. The one who does not have a guru nor seeks one, wonders what all the fuss is about. It takes having a guru, to know the magic that unfolds in one's life. In this video, Voosh's co-founder Priyam Saraswat explains how they are delivering more than 1,000 food orders every day in under 10 minutes in Bengaluru. Voosh's pivot from a SaaS platform for restaurants to 10-minute food delivery: When Voosh was founded in 2020, they were building a SaaS platform for restaurants to help them boost their revenues through their virtual brands offering. But after surveying over 1,000 people – they realised that people in Bengaluru were craving for a service that could offer then a more affordable and convenient way of delivering foods and that's when they decided to start a pilot of their 10-minute food delivery to test out the waters. Voosh's 10-minute food delivery business grows 1000% every week: They established their first satellite kitchen called pod in Bengaluru and launched on 12th February 2022. As orders kept rolling in, they launched their second pod in the second week. And their 10-minute food delivery business has been growing 100% every week ever since. Disrupting the food delivery space: Priyam believes that the current food delivery space is much like the online cab booking space in 2013-14 when people had to check with multiple cab companies to find the best cab rates and booking them. It was a cumbersome process. That is why customers who want convenience and affordability are loving Voosh's 10-minute food delivery which is disrupting India's food delivery space. How Voosh is achieving 10-minute delivery while keeping their drivers safe: Priyam says that they use a lot of data analytics to figure out the best place for them to open their pods. They make sure that their pods are located within 2 km from their customers and their drivers can deliver within 10 minutes even if they ride at an average speed of 30 km/hr. By optimising their systems, they can achieve 10-minute delivery without compromising the safety of their drivers. High gross margin business: In this business, Priyam claims that their margins are as high as 60% - which is why they are able to pass on these profits to their customers as well as their drivers. Making sure that food on their platform is more affordable and their drivers are even able to earn 25% more compared to their counterparts. It's a win-win for everyone. Voosh's aggressive growth plans: Right now, Voosh is only serving a small region of Bengaluru with their 2 pods. They plan on expanding to 10-12 localities in Bengaluru and have ambitions of reaching around 10,000 orders per day – from their current 1,000 orders per day. They are confident to cover entire Bengaluru in the next 2-3 months. Before moving on to conquer other cities across the country.

Prakshi was diagnosed with Endometrial cancer in November 2020, before her 30th birthday. She had a history of heavy bleeding, often brushed off as usual and nothing worrisome. Her symptoms worsened during the lockdown. On further investigation, it was diagnosed as stage IA Endometrial Cancer. A radical hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy were performed. This surgery put her into medical menopause. She felt cheated and was now a part of the 'Why me?' circle. But you don't have many convincing answers with things like cancer. It just happens. And the acceptance comes gradually. She likes to say that don't ever think of yourselves as any less to all my fellow cancer warriors. Your illness does not and should not define you. It should only empower you. We all are more robust than we think, and we are here to bloom. We got this!

Utkarsh is a college student studying medicine and is a writer by passion. He is well known for his free flowing relatable poems and short stories. Utkarsh was born in a town near Moradabad, India on June 27, 2000. Having passed out of school with science, he is currently studying in college. His love for literature started in his school days when he was very fond of writing speeches, essay and short stories. He was also fond of debates and song-writing (which he admits are hilariously embarrassing). This habit of song-writing later turned into his love for poetry, which he used to write as a vent to his emotions. In June 2017, after some inspiration from his family and with some help from his dad, Utkarsh announced his first book, “Melody Of Words”, which was a compilation of some of his best poems at that time and topped at 6th in poetry on Amazon. Books available in PDF & Print here: https://www.ashtangayogaorangecounty.com/books Chanting & Studying, 3rd Chapter of the Yoga Sūtras, Vibhūti Pāda: Chapters 1 & 2 lay the basis for the entire yogic process. Chapter 1 lays the primary foundational stone of clarity & clam. Chapter 2 gives the secondary step of self-analysis and asks us to dive deeply into the study & practice of the first four limbs: Yama, Niyama, Āsana & Prāṇāyāma. Once well established in these limbs, Chapter 3 presents an organized approach to our practice of self-analysis. This third chapter, Vibhūti Pāda, directs our attention to certain aspects of ourselves. First on the list: Develop the art of listening without superimposing our own thoughts on to what is heard. Patañjali also takes us step-by-step through various places in the body. All this to assist our process of becoming more purposeful and more awakened in our lives. Chapter 3, Vibhūti Pāda provides us with a checklist for thoroughness in Rāja Yoga. These classes always express the Sūtras in a practical manner relevant to the modern Yogī / Yoginī. Way back when (in 1999) Srila Giri Maharaja wrote the lines below as an offering to Srila Govinda Maharaja on his appearance day which was on December 24th (the day before Christmas). In the offering, the comparison between the day of Srila Govinda Maharaja’s appearance and the Christmas celebration (which is observed the following day) is not only ingenious, but quite profound in its meaning. We should all reflect upon the ocean of difference a single day can represent in a spiritual aspirant’s destination.
