We know we've already talked about The Office's Christmas episodes, but now we're diving into the extended editions, and we think you know these elves aren't complaining about talking the Office. Anthony, Julia, and Thom kick things off with "Christmas Party", the Season 2 classic featuring Michael's disastrous Secret Santa, an iPod, a teapot, Yankee Swap (or Dirty Santa, or whatever you call it where you live), and one very memorable Christmas card. Then it's off to "Moroccan Christmas," where Phyllis takes control of the Party Planning Committee, Meredith catches fire, Dwight sells Princess Unicorn dolls, and Angela's carefully guarded secret threatens to become very public knowledge. But this time, we're not just talking about the episodes we already know and love. First, Jason tells a mile-a-minute story about visiting an escort in a boarded-up Seattle trap house after relapsing on meth. After smoking crack for the first time, he returns from the bathroom to discover that the escort has taken his phone, wallet and keys. She demands $400—including a mandatory $50 tip—and summons a huge man armed with a nine iron. Held hostage and threatened with death, Jason secretly texts his roommate, who sends the police crashing through the door. Then Dave and Chris return in 2016 with their brand-new Yeti microphone. They debate potential sponsors, remember Leonardo DiCaprio completely ignoring Dave, and discuss the grim reality of losing friends to overdoses. Chris tells the story of a longtime friend whose drug use triggered manic and psychotic episodes. After hearing Dave describe Leonardo DiCaprio as “Teflon,” the friend is approached by police while behaving erratically, tears off his shirt and repeatedly screams, “I'm Leonardo DiCaprio!” The conversation expands into bipolar disorder, substance-induced mania, grandiosity, Jesus delusions and the difficulty of getting someone appropriate psychiatric care when they can appear normal for an hour. Dave's friend John then calls with recordings of his frightening former roommate. John survived the living situation by recording every confrontation with his phone—including an incredible argument in which the roommate becomes convinced that John bought a scratched, secondhand toilet seat online. The episode finishes with early Dopey shenanigans: Chris's abandoned mindfulness calendar, Dave receiving weed as a Secret Santa gift immediately after getting sober, and a mysterious half-ounce of marijuana left underneath a table at Katz's. Cut 4 cherries (removing pits) and add them to the bottom of the serving glass. Add the amaretto, brandy, cherry liquor and ice to the shaker and shake (like I've said before….shake the shit out of it, shake the ever-living-shit out of it, then kill it…basically shake it way more than you think you should). Add ice to the serving glass and pour in the contents of the shaker. Top the glass with black cherry club soda, stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime and a couple of cherries. ABOUT MERRY LITTLE MYSTERY A woman returns to her grandparents' town to become the new Secret Santa, following her grandfather's tradition. While delivering anonymous gifts, she must evade a reporter's investigation and finds romance. Sad face. She loves being home for Christmas. So many memories with her late grandfather. There's a reporter going around trying to find out who the town's secret Santa is. There's someone who has been buying people presents every year but has remained anonymous. One night, Natasha's grandma gives her a book and a letter that Grandpa wants Natasha to have. He wants her to take over the role of Candy Cane Santa. She goes for a walk, thinks about it, SHE'S IN! She and Grandma go shopping and deliver their first batch of gifts, including an oven! The next day, the people gather around, excited to see that Secret Santa is happening! But there's a reporter in town named Adrian who is there to try to figure out who the Secret Santa is. They start hanging out though cuz he's hot and she keeps having to come up with excuses for why certain things are happening because she doesn't want him to find out it's her. Unfortunately, he pieces it together and captures it on video. He gives her a chance to come clean and she asks him to please not publish the article. It would ruin the tradition. He does publish the article, but not outing her as the Secret Santa. Flash forward a year and they're still together, she's opening up a Secret Santa office to expand into other cities and her and Adrian are gonna get married! The idea of traditions can feel heavy and like once you do it you're stuck doing them forever… I wanted to do a fullll podcast episode that would give you lots of ideas that feel light and fun and can be so special to your family.  Things that make you all feel more connected… and that feel so unique and important to your family. It's easy for parenting to feel like a constant sprint sometimes… school, sports, meals, naps… it's a refreshing change to lean into special things that your family does. I realized how precious this is when one of my kids wrote a little paper about one of our traditions in 1st grade.  You realize… this is the stuff they remember and the resinates deep. This whole thing is about pausing these busy life days we are all living and thinking about emotional anchors we can create throughout the year. Traditions don't have to be rigid. They don't have to be expensive. And they definitely don't have to be perfect. Today we're talking about a fresh way to think about family traditions: Some traditions you repeat every year  Some you rotate  Some you try once and just remember  Some you write down so your family builds its own memory playbook Because what kids remember most isn't perfection… it's connection. This removes pressure and keeps the magic. Keep it somewhere easy like kitchen or nightstand. Traditions evolve as your family grows. Traditions are not about doing more. They're about choosing moments that slow life down… even just a little. You don't need to create ten new traditions this year.  You don't need Pinterest-perfect ideas. Start with one small thing that feels natural to your family. Maybe it lasts one year… maybe it becomes something your kids talk about forever. The real goal isn't perfection. It's creating a feeling… a rhythm… a sense that no matter how busy life gets, your family has small anchors that bring you back to each other. And over time, those moments become the story of your family.

He says, “Let me do it, I have a record.” She says, “Let me do it, I can break into the safe.” They both go for it.Cut back two weeks. We see the same gal, Sophia, pickpocket a guy who is being mean to some buskers. We then see that guy from the beginning, Nick, trying to find a new flat, but everything is too expensive. Sophia goes to work at a fancy store called Sterlings — the same store she was planning to rob at the beginning. She hates it when people are mean, so when a customer mistreats an employee, she steals the woman's dog's diamond collar.Nick, who works at a cell phone repair shop, watches the Sterlings security cameras and sees her do this — and also notices her stealing some petty cash. But there's a good reason: her mom is very sick and needs expensive treatment.Nick visits her the next day, asks if she knows where he could find a diamond collar, and hands her a USB before scurrying off. That night, Sophia watches the video — it's footage of her stealing, along with a message to meet him the next day.She meets him, and he blackmails her into helping him rob the Sterlings security locker. She says no while pickpocketing his locker. Needing the money, she reluctantly agrees to help him in exchange for a cut, since she knows his identity as the guy who installed the security footage and was previously arrested for theft.They successfully break in, only to find that the locker is already empty. They decide to call a truce.The next day at work, Sophia finds out that someone really did steal all the items (she suspects it's Nick). She also overhears that Sterling keeps $500,000 in cash in his office's personal safe. She goes to talk to Nick and overhears him having a conversation with his ex about her and their child moving away. He promises Sophia he didn't rob the store without her. They agree to work together again.Sophia figures out what kind of safe it is and assures Nick she can crack it. But they need a key fob that generates a new code every sixty seconds, which Sterling keeps in his bedroom. Sophia tells Nick they need to find a way to get into Sterling's bedroom to steal the fob.Nick admits to Sophia that he never actually stole from Sterlings. The owner did it himself for the insurance money. He framed Nick, who took a plea deal to avoid missing his daughter's life.They consider giving up until they learn that Sterling's wife — who hates him — will be at a fancy gala. They hatch a plan: get him in, seduce her, and have her bring him back to her place so they can steal the fob. They get all dressed up for the gala, and it works. But back at her place, Sterling's wife recognizes Nick. They've been found out. She offers to give them the fob if they cut her into the deal.They plan a new break-in after the store closes on Christmas Eve. The fob works, but when the door opens, they discover another door requiring Sterling's DNA. All seems lost — until Sophia uses her own DNA. It turns out Sterling is her father. Her mom worked there, Sterling got her pregnant, then fired her and cut her off completely.They get inside, grab the money, and on their way out, a security guard comes. They hide but are caught when Nick sneezes. They run, but are ultimately captured. Sophia offers to take the fall if Sterling gives her mom her cut, ensuring he can be with his daughter. Before escaping, she kisses Nick.While they're being chased, Sterling shows up with the police to see what's been taken. When the locker is opened, all the stolen goods are inside.We learn that Cynthia, Sterling's wife, told Sophia and Nick she didn't want a cut of the money — she wanted Sterling arrested to take over the company. She promises to take care of both of them for their help. She also reveals where Sterling had hidden his stolen goods before the insurance claim goes through. Sophia and Nick move the items into the safe, ensuring Sterling is caught for insurance fraud.When the security guard recognizes Sophia, she tells him what she knows, and he lets her go free.
