It's been interesting to see how Japanese cinema and cultural influences inspired George Lucas when he made Star Wars, and with Volume 1 of Visions the effect was reversed. Star Wars ip was given to Japanese anime studios with free creative control to do what they wished, to make thier star wars story and push the boundaries in new and unreal ways that dont need to make sense in the saga we're enamoured by. To make something fresh and new but different. Volume 2 is no different, but on a new playing field with the ip given to animation studios around the world. Today we look at Visions Vol 2 and review each episode and provide our thoughts, feedback and scores - and pick our favorites of course. What are your thoughts on Vol 2? And which one did you like the most?? This one is really special gang! Ever since Star Wars: Visions Vol. 1 we had been thinking about the potential of this series tackling Star Wars from other cultural perspectives, especially ones from Latin America. With the announcement of Vol. 2, we were so excited to see this potential fulfilled! As we've mentioned before, Vol. 2 was a rousing success for us and in particular on of the episodes: In The Stars! This short, done by Punkrobot Studio (a studio from Chile), talked about all the themes we as a podcast have been advocating for and waiting to see in these Star Wars stories. Today we are so incredibly privileged to present our interview with Oscar winning director of Bear Story, Gabriel Osorio! This was an extremely meaningful chat and Gabriel was very incredible, sharing very good insight about his episode. We truly hope you enjoy this interview! A very big thanks to Disney and Lucasfilm for the opportunity. Let us know what you think of IN THE STARS! We are still thinking about Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2! All of the episodes were phenomenal, but El Guiri Studios' SITH definitely stands out to us as one of the stories we enjoyed the most. Today we're so very excited to present to everybody a roundtable interview we were able to participate in, where we talk with Rodrigo Blaas, the director of SITH! We were so lucky to be able to be a part of this, massive thanks to Disney and Lucasfilm for the opportunity. Everybody had some very interesting questions for Rodrigo, and he had some very insightful answers for us that really deepen our view of this episode. We hope you enjoy this interview! Let us know what you think of SITH! We were very fortunate to share the round-table with some of our community friends, among them: Talking Bay 94, Skytalkers, Ahch-To Radio, Full Of Sith, and Fantha Tracks. *Disclaimer: The audio of the interviewers asking their questions is not the best quality because it was recorded off of Rodrigo's mic, and not our own audio source.
