The Path to Authenticity [00:26:18] “And then the next eight hours we had to spend on that horse was going through the canyons, so hundreds of feet up. It was terrifying. And that's where I learned I have to trust the horse. I don't know what I'm doing, but the horse does, and I don't want to fall, and neither does this horse.” [00:29:30] “It's changing how we communicate. It's changing how we relate. It's changing everything. From the moments where we think the horse is stubborn or it doesn't like us because it's not working with us. Maybe that's true, maybe it's not. But if that's what we're perceiving…it's changing everything. So, when we start to question those patterns and where we have learned these things, everything seems different. Even though the horse didn't change, nothing really changed externally, everything changed internally.” [00:52:33] “As a kid, all of your growth happens through play. You're on the playground. There's no anxiety to it. There's no agenda. You're just playing for the sake of playing. But at some point, life, obligations kick in, the responsibilities, the expectations, and you leave the playground, and you enter a battleground or proving ground. And that was like, wow, yes. Let's get back to the playground where it doesn't matter whether the hoof comes up or not. I'm having fun with this nonetheless.” Connect with Tyler Thompson Website - https://www.tylerthompsonpsychotherapy.com/horse LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/tyler-thompsonAudio/video editing and show notes by Podcast Abundance. After being named the new varsity football coach at Walkersville High School, Tyler Thompson is this week's guest on The Final Score podcast. Thompson chats with host Greg Swatek about his new job and how the hiring process unfolded. After serving as the defensive coordinator under former coach Joe Polce for the last five years, he talks about why he was ready to take this step and the expectations he has for the program going forward. The conversation extends back to Thompson's playing days at Linganore, where he won a state championship on arguably the best football team Frederick County has ever seen back in 2009, and how he got his start into coaching. Where does the Walkersville football program go from here? What is he looking forward to the most? Thompson addresses those questions as well. Prior to that conversation, FNP sports writers Alexander Dacy and John Cannon join Greg to discuss the Thompson hiring at Walkersville and some of the unusual storylines unfolding during this high school basketball season for both the boys and the girls.

We will be dropping by Jack Hayes shop to hear his and Chris Moulton story on how they got started into racing Both compete at White Mountain in the Strictly Stocks and have been doing it for sometime now both late arrivals in the racing scene but that doesn't discount what they have accomplished in the short time they have had doing it All started with going to check out the races at WMMP and realizing it had a campground attached to it for one and the other always been around loud noises and motors and was lettering up racecars as a business Jack Hayes got his start in 2019 after the passing of a friend and having the opportunity to buy his car all he knew about racing was turn left driving fast and taking balls on the dash chances but didn't know the other side of it but learned from a buddy Tyler Thompson throughout the years picking up wins along the way with 2024 being his 6th year doing it. Red flags? We will let him tell that story. Chris Moulton on the other hand came onto the scene in 2020 started camping with Jack himself and immediately got the bug. From there Chris built a car and started learning the craft of racing. In 2021 Chris won the car show at WMMP with his newly built car not knowing anything about racecars which gave him his first ever trophy, and sparked his want for more trophies. Quickly he figured out that it wasn't gonna be as easy as it thought and it takes a lot of trial and error in this sport to actually keep the same mindset and also critique's to unload a stout car week in and week out 2022 he won his first race along with 3 others and the rest is history from there even cheating up heads Anyways this Friday we go and sit down with these 2 guys and learn about their upbringing their great times funny stories learning moments and everything that shaped them into the competitors they are today and even going into 2024 This will be live on Facebook for you all to see time will be announced Friday when I get all the odds and ends figured out but it will be live ! He had three really significant verdicts. This guy is good. I summarize. January - Plaintiff told she didn't have breast cancer. She did. Led to 11 week treatment delay. $1.75 million in Murfreesboro March - He represented Erin Andrews in her case against Marriott regarding the peephole incident. $55,000,000. Nashville. October - Vanderbilt lost a biopsy sample. Plaintiff doesn't (and can't know) if she has cancer. $2,000,000 in Nashville. It was all emotional distress. If I needed a lawyer in a personal injury case in Tennessee, Kinnard (pictured) would be on my short list. He's like Tyler Thompson. Only from a little further down south." Football programs all around the country brand their recruiting classes with a nickname to give the recruits and families some excitement and something to rally around.UNC has had two recent defensive end recruits as part of their recent recruiting haul in the #JordanClass. Both of these young men are local products, one from Durham and the other from Cary. Jaybron Harvey is a 6'3”, 215-pound, 4-star defensive end from Southern High School. He comes in as a pass rush specialist. Tyler Thompson is 6'5” and 205 pounds, so both taller and thinner than Harvey. At this point in his development, Thompson has a bit more versatility to his game than does Harvey, but both young men should help Gene Chizik's defense line wreak havoc.Follow the show: Locked On Tar Heels (YouTube) Locked On Tar Heels (LinkTree) Locked On Tar Heels (Twitter) Isaac Schade (Twitter) Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!LinkedInLinkedIn jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster.
