El estudio de prevalencia de coinfección por VHC en personas con VIH en España realizado por Gesida, el Grupo de Estudio del Sida de la Sociedad Española de Enfermedades Infecciosas y Microbiología Clínica (Seimc) concluye que cada vez menos personas con VIH en nuestro país están afectadas también por una infección por el virus de la hepatitis C. En concreto, el estudio revela una tasa del 0,85%, un 96,1% menor que en 2015.Esta actualización, apunta el experto en VIH Juan Berenguer, científico en el Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Gregorio Marañón, y coautor principal el estudio, es la octava que se realiza, desde la primera, en 2002. La segunda actualización de este estudio se realizó en 2009, y las seis restantes entre 2015 y 2021. La pandemia de covid-19 impidió su realización en 2020.No obstante, la robustez de los datos aportados por esta investigación de Gesida permite afirmar que la estrategia de microeliminación de la hepatitis C en la población con VIH está cada vez más cerca.

J. Abstract: Severe stress can produce multiple persistent changes in defensive behavior. While much is known about the circuits supporting stress-induced associative fear responses, how circuit plasticity supports the broader changes in defensive behavior observed after severe stress remains unclear. Here, we find that stress-induced plasticity in the ventral hippocampus (vHC) and basolateral amygdala (BLA) support doubly dissociable defensive behavioral changes. Stress-induced protein synthesis in the BLA was found to support lasting enhancements in stress sensitivity but not enhancements in exploratory anxiety-related behaviors, whereas protein synthesis in the vHC was found to support enhancements in anxiety-related behavior but not enhancements in stress sensitivity. Like protein synthesis, neuronal activity of the BLA and vHC were found to differentially support the expression of these same defensive behaviors. Lastly, blockade of associative fear had no impact on stress-induced changes in anxiety-related behavior. Abstract: In mammals, spatial orientation is synaptically-encoded by sensory hair cells of the vestibular labyrinth. Vestibular hair cells (VHCs) harbor synaptic ribbons at their presynaptic active zones (AZs), which play a critical role in molecular scaffolding and facilitate synaptic release and vesicular replenishment. With advancing age, the prevalence of vestibular deficits increases; yet, a direct link to the functional decline of VHC ribbon synapses remains to be demonstrated. To address this issue, we investigated the effects of aging on the ultrastructure of the ribbon-type AZs in murine utricles using various electron microscopic techniques and combined them with confocal and super-resolution light microscopy as well as metabolic imaging up to one year of age. In older animals, we detected predominantly in type I VHCs the formation of floating ribbon clusters. Our findings suggest that VHC ribbon-type AZs undergo dramatic structural alterations upon aging. La Comisión del Derecho a la Salud y Deporte, con motivo de la conmemoración del Día Mundial contra la Hepatitis, recibió a representantes internacionales, quienes expusieron sus puntos de vista en torno a la incidencia de esta enfermedad a nivel mundial. En primera instancia, Jaime Ramírez Barba, diputado mexicano, destacó la importancia de la concienciación para la población general y profesionales de la salud sobre la hepatitis virales, medidas de prevención y control. Se refirió, además en el acceso a las pruebas de detección y diagnóstico, así como exámenes de laboratorio para la deteción temprana de esta enfermedad. Indicó los esquemas de tratamiento de vanguardia, con medicamentos de acción directa que ofrecen curación de la infección por VHC en más de un 95 por ciento de los casos, con tratamientos de entre ocho y 12 semanas, con un enfoque de atención primaria de salud. Así mismo, Patricia Vélez-Moller, representante de la Organización World Hepatitis Alliance, agradeció a la mesa legislativa por compartir este espacio para hablar de la lucha contra la hepatitis viral y la participación que tienen los gobiernos y la sociedad civil. Sostuvo que son una organización internacional que alberga a 314 organizaciones a nivel mundial y 72 en el Continente Americano. Esta organización tiene como objetivo principal promover la lucha contra esta enfermedad. En el 2009, la Organización Mundial de la Salud ya puso en agenda la lucha contra la hepatitis; y, en el 2010, se dictó la primera resolución que declara el Día Mundial de la Hepatitis. De su lado, la asambleísta María José Plaza habló de la importancia de comentar y tomar conciencia de esta enfermedad. Dr. Boghuma Titanji, virologist, infectious disease doctor, and clinical researcher at Emory University, shares an intimate story about her experience with a hospitalized patient fighting the coronavirus. PEACE MEDITATION Start with 3 deep breaths from the centre of the earth, drawing deeply from Dear Mother Gaia. Bringing in the beautiful pure energy of the mother. Activating our earth star and drawing it up into our higher heart. Then we do 3 deep breaths from the centre of the Universe, drawing it down from all there is. Activating our soul star and drawing it down through our pineal, activating our pituitary and down into our higher heart. Fully expanding the top of our chests as far as it goes, and then a little bit more. Now we do 3 combined breaths, drawing from the centre of the earth and the centre of the universe combining the energies of the mother and the father in our heart. Activating our own divine self so we have our trinity and we are in the highest possible state we can be, allowing our higher self to fully integrate through us. We should be feeling the softness and the warmth now as we combine all our highest energies. We also call in the energy of Quan Yin and Archangel Michael. Send the energies to the 4 directions, north, south, east and west. Completely enfolding our planet on this beautiful heart energy. We ask that our brothers and sisters join us and we ask that all of the beautiful pure energy gets sent through the grid above and below totally encasing our beautiful planet in divine heart energy. Many of our star brothers have been waiting to be called in to us to help. We do this now knowing we are heading for very turbulent times as a lot gets released very quickly as not only the solar flares but the lunar eclipse, full moon So there will be a lot of negativity released from people. Some will choose to act upon it and some will choose just to release. So as we are connected totatlly with our planet, the grids, and our star brothers and sisters. At the moment I am holding a new crystal I got recently that is called cintamani. It originally came from Sirius and it’s pulsing very strongly. The Sirians are with us tonight. One in particular is showing me his beautiful 3rd eye with a diamond. I’m asking him to beam it into the grids to help people think clearly, see clearly, and act clearly and … We ask for truth be the major thing through everybody’s mind now.  We ask that they question things before they act. We ask that they breathe deeply and draw from this beautiful divine heart energy flowing around our grids at the moment. We also have the energy of Mother Gaia working very strongly with us at the moment, it’s like she’s exuding a haze around her as she protects all of the inhabitants, the animals, the plants, the people. We ask you to sit quietly in this beautiful divine heart and continuously send it out to the grids above and below. Joining with all the beings who are here to help us out. Keep breathing into the grid. We ask now that all the grandmasters protect us and guide us continually through these next few month. Helping us to see our reason, our truth and our love for our fellow inhabitants of this planet. We have Metatron, Melchezidik and way up high we have Enoch. They work with sending out love and clear beautiful light into our grids. Because we have asked for truth and love and clarity and for help and guidance. They ask that we keep sending this on and off whenever we think of doing it, please just do it. A few deep breaths in sending it out into the grids. We ask that the people who are working here on Earth can do the same.  All the light workers, all the people working with peace & harmony, we need to make this a mass effort. And we need to be positive it will work. With the team we have behind us, it surely will.
