The Final Fantasy XII Journey Begins - A Sky Pirate's Destiny HPCritical has created a JRPG club. As a book club would, we chose a video game, and we choose portions of it to progress through as we come together once a month to discuss the title. The next game the JRPG club chose to delve into is Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. This classic JRPG was divisive during its initial 2006 release, and yet the Zodiak Age brought the title back into the mainstream in 2017 with a new appreciation from fans of its complexities as well as streamlining game mechanics. Join us as we journey through Ivalice and discover what Final Fantasy XII has in store for us. If you're a fan of Final Fantasy XII or JRPG's in general, make sure you check out this upcoming series every month as we explore the story, characters, gameplay, and more on Final Fantasy XII with JRPG veterans and newcomers alike. Join HPCritical and friends as they tread through FFXII and join the journey if you'd like. The first stopping point is reaching the Firemane boss fight. That's where we stop talking on this current episode. To continue on with us our next stopping point is reaching the Ozmone Plains. For this episode we share our initial impressions of the game, the story so far, how we feel about the characters, and the battle mechanics, all from the perspective of JRPG and FFXII veterans to newcomers some of whom have never played a JRPG before. Come listen along as our story begins. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/hpcritical/support

In the second episode of the podcast, Patrick is knee deep in the terror of Resident Evil 7, the guys talk the future of PSVR, retro games, the Final Fantasy 12: Zodiac Age remaster, remasters in general, and probably talk down to people without 4K TVs more than once. Recorded in February of 2017.
For our twelfth episode we took on the remaster of the PS2 classic RPG: Final Fantasy XII - The Zodiac Age! One of us loved it, one of us not so much. We have an in-depth discussion about where the story falls over and and why. We also discuss Birkenstocks, finger toes, and shag-marry-kill the FFXII cast.
This past week has been jam-packed with news: Analogue Pocket, the Witcher, Microsoft’s huge video, Eiyuden’s Kickstarter, and of course Halo: Infinite. JJ reflects on his Halo experience so far, which is now extensive. Out impressions of Comic Con@Home. Michael solves an engineering conundrum. And, we are all now questing through Final Fantasy XII the Zodiac Age and you should join us.

E3 2020 is cancelled due to the ongoing COVID - 19 (coronavirus) pandemic, and at this rate, anything with a crowd will be canceled very soon. Carlos and Matthew look into the effects of these types of cancellation to video game events and how video game companies (Square Enix, Ubisoft, etc) will address an announce new games and products in the future. Carlos gives his thoughts on the recent release of Call of Duty: Warzone, the new battle royale game that surpassed 6 million players since it's release last week. At the end of the episode 196, Matt shares his experience with Final Fantasy 12 Zodiac Age and how a speed up feature changes how you enjoy the JRPG. Intro and outro music heard in the TMG Podcast was created by MrBulbamike.
Jack is joined by streamer and all around swell guy Kazuma Hashimoto to talk about the remastered version of Final Fantasy XII, giving the game a much needed second look! Jeremy joins him and they fusion dance their way into a discussion of a mutual favorite: Final Fantasy 12. The Zodiac Age edition of the game brings some new features to the old Matsuno chestnut. We then proceed into something completely different with Housemarque's twin-stick shooter, Nex Machina. The game borrows from some of the studio's past titles and makes them into something new and kickin' (and shootin'). Come get some! Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV was just over a year ago and since that event, the Final Fantasy machine went into overdrive. Final Fantasy XV kicked off in a monstrous way, but there was also World of Final Fantasy, tons of updates around Dissidia: Final Fantasy Arcade, the mobile titles and even things on the peripheral, like The Zodiac Age and the Final Fantasy VII Remake. But now that Episode Gladiolus is out, it's gone rather mellow! Our main segment is to therefore talk about the past year and talk about the future. We've also got some questions, about favourite job classes, whether we'll see a Dirge of Cerberus HD and whether we think the next main-line game will be turn-based or not. Enjoy!
A clueless Ethan wanders into a bayou in Louisiana to look for his missing wife. He is greeted by the Baker family sitting around a feast of entrails and rotted meat. “Welcome to the family, son.” Jack says as he hands Ethan a bowl filled to the brim with the latest episode of the Chompcast. We delve into Resident Evil 7, which shows a return from action to horror for the series. We also talk spoilers (1:03:43 – 1:35:20) in order to examine the story. From there, we discuss listener comments and questions, as well as news regarding new PS4 and Super Mario Run updates, Fire Emblem Heroes' mobile release, and Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age news. We would also like to give a special shout-out to Jason Roberts for designing our brand new logo! Check his work out at victoryoverall.co.uk/.
Wir stehen kurz vor der E3 2016 und lassen uns mit dieser etwas kürzeren Ausgabe von Hooked FM ein bisschen Atemluft vor der Messewoche. Wir reden u.a. über das frisch enthüllte Remaster von Final Fantasy XII, über Kirby: Planet Robobot, The Witcher 3 und mehr!
