Our goal at What the Gap has been the same from the beginning. We've hoped to share raw, honest insight into the journey of two very different individuals, a modern-day couple; more or less, a couple of humans just trying to fill the gaps. This season has been no different. We've shared our relationship ups and downs, the lessons we've learned about ourselves and about each other. We've confessed to personality downfalls, to habits that are no longer serving us and even, to the hamster wheels we're trying to escape. In the FINAL SERIES of Season 3, we're taking a moment to look back on the highs and lows of the last few months: the laughs, the frustration, the TMIs, the first guest appearance and so much more. In this episode, we reflect on AJ's self love journey and a lesser spoken-about struggle: his continued battle with podcasting itself. What can we say, not every dream will first come naturally. We admit to the hardships this has created, and also, to the very real fear of being perceived in the wrong way. Ultimately, we're here to grow together, imperfections and all. This is just one step of the journey. Will you join us for the next? Remember those ideal morning routines we shared last week? Don't worry, neither does A.J. This week, we put them to the test to discover the REALITY of how a week in our lives actually plays out.Talking the talk is one thing, but walking the walk? Now that's another entirely. In today's episode, we share the truth about 5am (or 6am, or 7am) wake-ups; how often we actually adhere to an ideal morning and how this affects the rest of our day, our mood & our mindset. We reveal what matters most about creating the ideal morning routine, and ironically enough, it has nothing to do with how you actually spend it. It's about how often you commit to lifting your ass out of bed to try.In other news, A.J. is put under spotlight for several questionable incidents: the increasingly vocal nature of his internal indiscretions, and the return of old drinking habits. Meanwhile, Kenzie continues to pursue a much-needed break, admitting ever so slowly that there's a time and place for her ‘NO-BULLSHIT’ attitude to work.We are far from perfect, and this humbling exercise makes that very clear. Whilst it goes either way, in the case of your two WTG hosts, it's AJ who presents a package deal. Him.. and his squad of cheerleaders.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Okay, so it's not quite as bad as it sounds. Surrounded by women during his childhood, AJ has always been more in touch with his emotions than the average male. As a result, he's always found it easier to develop non-romantic relationships with the opposite sex.⁣⁣⁣⁣All that said, even they can be confused by his naturally affectionate personality at times. In Part 2, AJ begins with a story of how his co-worker mistook a friendly note for non-friendly feelings.⁣⁣⁣⁣The question is, should there be a line between the way you treat your "girl" friends and your girlfriend? Does one have to change the way they act when they get into a relationship? And how, or rather, to what extent, does this ability to get along with the opposite sex.. actually affect your partner? ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Find out from Kenzie herself, as she shares the ups and downs of dating a guy with a lot of "girl" friends.
