Today's True Werid Stuff - Reliving The Black Eyed Kids   In 1996, reporter Brian Bethel said he had an encounter with two children that left him terrified. Sitting in his car in a parking lot late at night, Bethel was approached by two young boys whose eyes were as black as coal. In the decades since Bethel shared his story, others have claimed to have similar encounters with children with pitch-black eyes asking for help, or asking to enter the person's home. Yet in 1944, Helen Duncan was convicted under this very law for fraudulent spiritual activities. Despite her claims of contacting spirits through ectoplasm and even revealing classified naval secrets, she was sentenced to prison. Her trial was one of the last times the Witchcraft Act was used before being replaced in 1951, but her supporters continue to campaign for her pardon. The festival showcased Rome's military strength and dedication to victory. Four very different and very interesting tales this week! Dan kicks us off with a story  somewhere in west Texas that centers around some Black Eyed Children. MAYBE. If not BEK, than what? Then, a second story that is set in two different locations in South Carolina, that both claim to be haunted, and both share the same name: The Rose Hill Plantation.  Lynze has two very unique tales this week.
