Richies, Catherine Middleton has finally broken her silence. Ever since the Princess of Wales fell out of public view back in December, there's been nothing but rumor, speculation and crazy theories about what's been going on with her. And Kensington Palace wasn't exactly forthcoming, simply saying she was recovering from a “planned abdominal surgery.” But now we finally have some answers. And they're from Kate herself. Today she shocked the world by releasing a video in which she divulges that she's been diagnosed with cancer. This is definitely shocking news, and we're all hopeful for a full recovery for the future queen.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

‘Kategate' has been fodder for group chats as people around the world question Catherine Middleton's whereabouts. According to her office, the Princess of Wales is recovering from abdominal surgery, but celebrity conspiracies abound.
When it comes to what's going on with Catherine Middleton, it's another day, another conspiracy theory. Or three. First up, a video was released on Monday showing someone who looked a lot like Kate at a British farm stand with someone who looked a lot like her hubby, Prince William. But many people - including Bravo king Andy Cohen - don't buy that it's actually Kate. They think it's a body double posing as a Fake-Kate. Secondly, there are the rumors that William's been having an affair, and now the woman at the center of those rumors - Rose Hanbury - is speaking out. Finally, someone tried to swipe Kate's medical records from the hospital where she had the abdominal surgery! Richies, we can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. In the meantime, will the real Catherine Middleton please stand up?See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Canada's strategy to ensure that everyone from coast to coast to coast has access to affordable high speed Internet services is widely viewed as a failure and the source of ongoing frustration for many, particularly those in rural, remote and indigenous communities. Those communities often face the prospect of no broadband access or at best expensive, unreliable services. The Council of Canadian Academies recently convened an expert panel on High-Throughput Networks for Rural and Remote Communities in Canada. The panel's report is a must read for anyone concerned with equitable and affordable Internet access and the consequences of leaving many communities – particularly indigenous communities – behind. The panel was chaired by Karen Barnes, the former president of Yukon University and included Professor Catherine Middleton, the Director of the Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Ryerson University. They join the Law Bytes podcast this week to discuss the panel, the report, and the recommendations for policy action. The podcast can be downloaded here, accessed on YouTube, and is embedded below. There were two songs I was going to play for my cousin Rita's friend, who's husband had a stroke. One was "Like A River Glorious", which I played a while back and this was the other one. For this piece I only had an organ and piano duet arrangement, so I had to order the music. When I got it, my printer was also not working. Now that I finally got it and figured out how to print it, I've recorded it for her. This is a hymn that has been used around the globe and across denominational lines. It was also incorporated in two of the most televised services of the last two decades, the funeral of Princess Diana of Wales (1977) and the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton (2011). The author of this hymn never intended to be a minister, and instead wished to be a doctor. Eventually after hearing the preaching of Howell Harris, he made the decision to pursue ordination in the Established Church. He became a well known writer of Welsh Methodism, with beautiful imagery, and this hymn contains traces of the hardships he experienced as a traveling minister. I hope you enjoy it.

The Diamond Queen is a BBC documentary series, presented by Andrew Marr, which looks at the life of Queen Elizabeth II. The series focuses on her accession, her daily routine, how she is seen as a role model, and how she coped in her 60th year as monarch. The programme features archive footage of the Queen, as well as in-depth footage of her major engagements since the beginning of 2010 to late 2011. In the second episode, Marr assesses the Queen's attempts to modernise the monarchy, including the Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Princes William and Harry are interviewed about their grandmother's influence on the day. The challenges faced by the monarchy are also reviewed, such as the 1992 'annus horribilis". Marr follows the Queen on her visit to the Republic of Ireland in 2011, and remembers the happy times she enjoyed on the Royal Yacht Britannia, before - to her visual sadness - it was decommissioned in 1997 by Tony Blair. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thehistoryexpress/support
The wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton took place on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, United Kingdom. The groom, Prince William, is second in the line of succession to the British throne. The bride, Catherine Middleton, had been his girlfriend since 2003. The Dean of Westminster, John Hall, presided at the service; the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, conducted the marriage; Richard Chartres, the Bishop of London, preached the sermon; and a reading was given by the bride's brother, James. William's best man was his brother, Prince Harry, while the bride's sister, Pippa, was maid of honour. The ceremony was attended by the bride's and groom's families, as well as members of foreign royal dynasties, diplomats, and the couple's chosen personal guests. After the ceremony, the couple made the traditional appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. As Prince William was not the heir apparent to the throne, the wedding was not a full state occasion and many details were left to the couple to decide, such as much of the guest list of about 1,900. Prince William and Kate Middleton met in 2001. Their engagement on 20 October 2010 was announced on 16 November 2010. The build-up to the wedding and the occasion itself attracted much media attention, being compared in many ways with the 1981 marriage of William's parents. The occasion was a public holiday in the United Kingdom and featured many ceremonial aspects, including use of the state carriages and roles for the Foot Guards and Household Cavalry. Events were held around the Commonwealth to mark the wedding; organisations and hotels held events across Canada, over 5,000 street parties were held throughout the United Kingdom, and one million people lined the route between Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. The ceremony was viewed live by tens of millions more around the world, including 72 million live streams on YouTube. In the United Kingdom, television audiences peaked at 26.3 million viewers, with a total of 36.7 million watching part of the coverage. In 2001, Middleton and Prince William met while studying at the University of St Andrews. They began dating in 2003. On 16 November 2010, Clarence House stated that Prince William was to marry Catherine Middleton "in the Spring or Summer of 2011, in London". They were engaged in October 2010, while on a private holiday in Kenya; Prince William gave Middleton the same engagement ring that his father had given to William's mother, Diana, Princess of Wales—an 18-karat white gold ring with a 12-carat oval Ceylon (Sri Lankan) sapphire and 14 round diamonds. It was announced at approximately the same time that, after their marriage, the couple would live on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales, where Prince William was based with the Royal Air Force. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thehistoryexpress/support
"I would say to any composer: Talent is important, perseverance is important, hard work is important, but luck is important as well..." - John Rutter Robert Emery talks to John Rutter, composer and conductor best known for his choral compositions, including many Christmas carols and anthem.. John talks about his process of composing, the commission to write an anthem for the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, and how tragedy stuck in 2001 with his son being killed in a road accident. He of course also answers a quick-fire round of questions culminating in the big question; Composing or Conducting? John has done that rare feat of being accessible and popular, without the critics panning him for the simplicity and beauty of his music. He has a fascinating and somewhat wise view of the world, constantly coming out with quotes like "we like to think we are in control of our destiny, but really we're not", and my favourite; "if you want to be rich and famous, you should probably concentrate on one thing and do it obsessively and do it incredibly well. If you want to have a happy and fulfilled life, do whatever interests you - and if possible, get someone to pay you for it!" Catherine Middleton has made headlines recently after Kensington Palace issued a statement categorically denying that the Duchess of Cambridge had cosmetic work done; specifically ‘baby botox’. So, what is ‘baby botox’? And does everyone secretly have it? And author John Marsden has caused a bit of a stir after remarking that bullying is really just a form of feedback. The author and educator is promoting his new book The Art Of Growing Up and reckons that if kids just became a little more ‘likeable’ maybe bullying wouldn’t be such a problem. Does he have a point? Paul Mealor has been described in the New York Times as, the most important person to emerge in Welsh music since William Mathias. He rose to global attention when his motet Ubi Caritas et Amor was performed at the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in 2011. That same year he became the first classical composer to hold both the classical and pop chart No 1’s at the same time while his single, ‘Wherever You Are’, a piece for The Military Wives Choir, reached UK Christmas No 1. Born in St Asaph, North Wales, Paul now splits his time between Anglesey and Aberdeen where he is Professor of Composition. Richard and Gideon caught up with Paul ahead of his US premier of Requiem at Carnegie Hall as part of the DCINY commemoration of The Great War. During the episode, the boys discuss Paul’s overnight fame, his pledge to defend the city of Aberdeen, and what it‘s like being the Warren Garland of classical music.

Work week is over, but thankfully Kanye's Twitter rant is not! This week the girls give a lesson in wine tasting, play a quick game of fuck, marry, kill feat. Mike Pence, Sean Spicer and Paul Ryan, gossip about Trump's dinner party, quickly breakdown the waffle house shooting and of course talk about the new royal baby and then Kanye #unfiltered. Also, apparently Lexi forgets that Catherine Middleton is actually Kate. So, thats awkward for about 10 minutes...
This week, we play the royal baby name game! How do the British royals pick their names? Who do the babies get named after? There’s a relatively short list of traditional options, and we break them down for you, then take our best shot at guessing the name of the new baby Cambridge. We think everything is a contender for a boy’s middle name, but we’re a bit stuck on the first name. As for a girl, we see you Catherine Middleton, we’re giving you a middle name honor!
Do you Remember 2011? In 2011, now 7 years ago, a bunch of crazy things happened. Osama Bin Laden was killed, Prince William married Catherine Middleton, Steve Jobs Died, and Obama released his birth certificate! If you also stopped paying some or all of your debts in 2011, then 2018 is YOUR year. We are talking about foreclosures, short sales, credit card debts, auto loans medical bills, etc, all that will reach it's statute of limitations for credit reporting under the Fair Credit Reporting act in 2018. But what exactly is the statue of limitations, and can it be reset? What if the debt collector sells it off to another debt collector? What if you dispute it, can that reset it? The questions and scenearios are limitless and we go deep into the topic of the seven year statute to explain all the nuances of the most misunderstood credit reporting myth! The Extra Credit Show is a show hosted by Ex-Debt Collection Agency Executive and Consumer Credit Expert Anselmo Moreno and his business partner Richard David. This week the Royals gathered to celebrate an amazing event--Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s 70th wedding anniversary! Harry and Meghan can certainly learn a lot from looking at his grandparents, but another event that happened seven years ago can provide a lot of guidance for the near-term. On November 16, 2010, the Royal Family announced that Prince William was engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Catherine Middleton. After Jenna and Katelyn finished grieving the fact that Wills was off the market, we were excited to live vicariously through Kate, a commoner marrying into the Firm. On this episode, your hosts look at the logistics of the engagement, including the proposal in Kenya, the formal announcement, the interview, the dress, the photos, and the reaction, and speculate about what will happen if/when Harry and Meghan reach a similar milestone! In this week’s news, the Queen gets cultured in Hull, Charles celebrates a birthday, William and Harry do good around London, Kate plays with babies, and Meghan flies to the UK.
This week is Part 1 of my two-part Road Rambling. It's a wrap-up of what was an excellent EA Leadership Summit 2017 run by The Growth Faculty as well as an overview of the content I will be sharing on the 30th August 2017 when I present 2 X 45 minute sessions at the Office Professionals Workshop in Adelaide. This event is being run by Catherine Middleton (that would be the other Catherine Middleton, not the Duchess of Cambridge) of Office Dynamics Adelaide fame. Tickets are still available and I would love love love to see you there if you are a 'Radelaide' Executive Assistant or Office Professional. http://officedynamicsadelaide.com.au/office-professionals-workshop-program/ In next weeks episode I will share some of my key takeaways from the EA Leadership Summit 2017. Michael Berkeley welcomes the Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, as his Private Passions. The first woman, the first Scot, and the first openly gay person to hold the post, she was appointed in 2009, having won many awards for her poetry collections since taking first prize in the National Poetry Competition in 1983. Most recently, 'Rapture' (2005) won the TS Eliot Prize, and her latest collection, 'The Bees', won the 2011 Costa Book Award for Poetry. Born into a Roman Catholic family in the Gorbals, a poor area of Glasgow, Carol Ann developed a passionate love of literature at school, and for a decade from the age of 16 she lived with the Liverpool poet Adrian Henri. She had two plays performed at the Liverpool Playhouse and received an honours degree in phoilosophy from the University of Liverpool. In 1996 she was appointed a lecturer in poetry at Manchester Metropolitan University and later became creative director of its Writing School. She was appointed Poet Laureate in 2009. Her work as laureate includes poems on the MPs' expenses scandal, the deaths of the last British servicemen who fought in World War I, David Beckham's tendon injury, and the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Her poems, which explore everyday experience and a rich fantasy life, are on the school curriculum in the UK. A keen music-lover, Carol Ann Duffy learnt the piano as a child. Her choices include Chopin's E major Etude Op.10 No.3, which her mother loved to hear her playing; extracts from Mozart's 'Marriage of Figaro' and and Christy Moore singing a song with words by W B Yeats. This edition, first broadcast in June 2012, is part of Radio 3's celebration of British music - Private Passions' guests this month are four poets from across the UK.
