I had the pleasure of taking part in FFFCon 2024 a couple weeks ago, It is known as The World's Greatest Convention of Purpose Driven Women Leaders.  This event, the brainchild of my friend Neda Hovaizi, was a full day of women stepping into their spotlight with speakers, panels, vendors, immersive experiences and more. We all left feeling energized and inspired to say the least! I was set up inside the venue to capture the feelings, take aways and reactions to the day of attendees and speakers.  On this episode you'll hear from lots of Boston ladies that joined us, what they do and the things that most inspired them about FFFCon.  I also caught up with Neda after the event to see how she felt and whats she's planning next, including a membership to go to similar events on a regular basis. Send us a Text Message. This was a chance for me to chat to my good friend, business coach AND client Jude Turner.Jude and I got on from first time we met, possibly because we were aware that perhaps we didn't quite fit the mould and found ourselves in the magical messy middle, without diagnoses but as neurodiverse women in business. As we started moving together and I gave my usual cues, Jude's blank looks said it all.  Jude wasn't aware of her body in space, how to articulate her spine, how to move the pelvis without moving the entire body.  I was intrigued and so we got creative with our cues.  3 years later, Jude has grown SO much in strength and body awareness and has take to strength training like a duck to water. In this episode we discuss:*The pressures on women to show up in a certain way. How we can start to really see ourselves 40+*How we can reject the diet mentality and ask ourselves how WE want to feel in our bodies.*Why strength training and the structure therein might just be beneficial for the neurodiverse brain.Jude works as a coach primarily for neurodiverse creatives over 40.  Working with her transformed my business mindset and has helped me believe that I could build a successful business AND be authentic and kind.Jude hangs out mainly on Instagram, but you can buy tickets for her latest Fierce Females event in Brighton & Hove here. Are you feeling stuck in the 'earn and burn' cycle with your exercise routine, or as summer approaches, are you feeling self-conscious about wearing a swimsuit on the beach? These young women are TALENTED, caring, smart, pro-active FIERCE FEMALES, and they ROCK !! Shout out to Bram and Arden Rock Records for always providing a quality studio experience ...https://www.ardenrockrecords.com Check out all things AquadollsI promise you will be entertained !: The Aquadolls were founded in January 2012 by Melissa Brooks, the lead singer and songwriter for the band in La Mirada, California. Melissa began recording bedroom demos of her songs and eventually released We Are Free in early 2013, and then debuted her album Stoked on You in December 2014. After a brief break from releases, the stars aligned in July 2018 and the new era of The Aquadolls commenced with Jacqueline Proctor on drums and Keilah Nina on bass . The band grew as a powerful threesome leading up to the release of The Aquadolls highly anticipated second album, The Dream and the Deception, recorded and self-produced by Brooks and self-released October 28, 2018 on Aqua Babe Records. Following their sophomore album, they have self-released the single Suck on This in summer 2019, followed by their viral cover of Lash's Take Me Away in October 2020. In July 2021, The Aquadolls signed to indie label Enci Records and released their latest single Disappearing Girl. Having opened for artists like Pennywise, Kate Nash, Vivian Girls, and X, playing festivals with Weezer, Rancid, Cat Power, and FIDLAR, touring with White Reaper, as well as headlining North American tours and playing local California shows, The Aquadolls are in-your-face and good vibes all at once with energetic performances that leave you anticipating the next show. What exactly is a fierce female? It’s something we’ve been discussing a lot among ourselves recently. Is it someone who only does good? Someone who is monumentally brave? A woman ahead of her time? Or is she someone like Margaret Sanger, who revolutionised the birth control movement in America but was also a supporter of deeply disturbing beliefs. In this episode, we look at a woman who achieved great things, but who also advocated for terrible things. You’ll hear about how Margaret began fighting for women’s reproductive rights, how she opened the first birth control clinic in the USA, how she campaigned as a eugenicist, and the legacy she leaves today.*****************Follow us:Fierce Females of History is on Instagram: @fiercefemalespodcastGet in touch:Want to discuss history, wine, the Hulk’s penis or geese?Drop us a line here: fiercefemalesofhistory@gmail.comTheme music: Get Lo - LynneMusichttps://www.neosounds.com/songs/15504 See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

This episode, we slink our way into the story of Virginia Hall, WWII spy, mountain climber, snake charmer and teeth filer. You’ll find out about Virginia’s life changing run in with an errant bullet in Turkey, her determination to become an international woman of mystery, how she became the most decorated civilian of the second world war and how her modus operandi lives on to this day.Oh and also, how she outsmarted the famous Nazi known as The Butcher of Lyon. Did you know Erin has been to Egypt? Well, she has and she’s here to tell you all about it, but one part in particular.Hatshepsut was one of few female Pharaoh Kings and she’s known for doing things in her own way. This was one woman who would not be relegated to the sidelines, and that was a very good thing for ancient Egypt. In this episode you’ll hear about why Hatshepsut changed her name, the strange clue that led to her identification thousands of years later, and (in great detail) just how the Egyptians constructed those major obelisks. It’s got badass pharaohs, trips to mystical lands and some serious feats of engineering. You know you’ve got to listen - it’s only Phar(oah).Follow us:Fierce Females of History is on Instagram: @fiercefemalespodcastGet in touch:Want to discuss history, wine, the Hulk’s penis or geese?Drop us a line here: fiercefemalesofhistory@gmail.comTheme music: Get Lo - LynneMusichttps://www.neosounds.com/songs/15504Want to know more about Hatch?National Geographic Livescience.com https://blackhistorystudies.com/resources/resources/15-facts-on-queen-pharaoh-hatshepsut/https://www.litosonline.com/en/article/obelisk-hatshepsut#:~:text=The%20obelisk%20of%20Hatshepsut%2C%20built,Temple%20of%20Amon%2C%20in%20Karnak.http://www.history.com/topics/ancient-history/hatshepsut#:~:text=Upon%20his%20death%2C%20she%20began,Deir%20el%2DBahri%2C%20located%20inhttps://www.britannica.com/biography/Hatshepsut See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
