Charles Gasparino, author of Go Woke, Go Broke: The Inside Story of the Radicalization of Corporate America, explores the radicalization of corporate America by tracing the rise of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives. He argues that these movements, once fringe academic theories, were embraced by corporate elites at global forums like Davos and the UN. This shift was accelerated by the 2008 financial crisis, which led CEOs to adopt "stakeholder capitalism" as a defensive "cover your backside" strategy against progressive populism and threats of government nationalization. The book details how major asset managers like BlackRock and Vanguard leveraged trillions in investment money to force progressive social changes on the companies in their portfolios. Gasparino uses The Walt Disney Company as a primary example of "woke" activism backfiring, noting how political entanglements in Florida and ideological shifts in programming led to significant financial and cultural fallout. He also highlights the story of Sage Steele, who was allegedly forced out of ESPN for holding heterodox, non-woke views. Ultimately, Gasparino documents an ongoing backlash against these policies, as evidenced by massive withdrawals from ESG-focused funds and a retreat from diversity programs by firms like Goldman Sachs. He concludes that "wokeness" is often a distraction from core business responsibilities, such as managing balance sheets, and warns that it divides the country while harming the bottom line. (1)

Ben Stein on The Capitalist Code, Author Todd R. Mitchell Jr., and GildaGram with Dr. Gilda CarleThis edition of The Neil Haley Show opens with a Total Celebrity conversation with economist, author, and actor Ben Stein about his book The Capitalist Code: It Can Save Your Life and Make You Very Rich. Stein traced his belief in owning capital back to his father, a prominent free-market economist, and to a family shaped by the Great Depression, arguing that owning capital, not just labor, is what gives ordinary people security. His central message was refreshingly simple: most people will never beat the market by picking stocks, so the smart move is to steadily buy a low-cost S&P 500 index fund and let compounding do the work over decades. He pointed to Social Security as far too thin to rely on, even for high earners, and framed buying the index as effectively owning a microscopic share of all American business without the headaches of running one. He urged listeners to start young and put investing on autopilot, predicting the market's next move is likely down before it climbs higher, and shared that Warren Buffett, whom he called a friend, endorsed the book by saying its readers need no other guide to investing. Stein balanced the financial talk with reflections on living for today as well as tomorrow, on order and discipline as keys to happiness, and on his gratitude for America, and he previewed a coming project on sobriety drawn from his years in recovery and his losses of friends and relatives to addiction. The advice is his own; listeners should weigh it for their own situation.Neil then welcomed author Todd R. Mitchell Jr., joined by his fiancee, to talk about his book Never Gave Up. A gifted athlete who earned a college basketball scholarship without ever playing a high school game and went on to eight years of arena football, Mitchell described how alcoholism shadowed every opportunity and closed door after door. Asked where he would be had he reached the NBA or NFL, he did not hesitate: homeless, broke, or dead, because the money would have arrived long before he reached the root of the problem. He traced a hard road through homelessness, incarceration, and car accidents, including spending his father's last twenty dollars on alcohol instead of food, and credited his turnaround to faith and to a partner who visited him every day during rehab and stood by him through relapse, understanding that recovery is a process rather than a single decision. His daughter, and the disappointment on her face one difficult day in Atlanta, became another anchor, and he spoke about the patience and grace it took his fiancee to walk beside him without giving up. Today Mitchell has finished school, earned a film production degree from Miami Dade College, and launched Born From The Ashes Mitchell Production Studios in Jacksonville. He and Neil went deep on the question every retired athlete faces, what you build once the crowd noise stops. Never Gave Up is available on Amazon, where it has been a number-one new release. The hour closes with two GildaGram simulcasts featuring co-host Dr. Gilda Carle, author of Real Men Don't Go Woke. In the first, Carle discussed the themes of her book, which she frames as an examination of male mental health and a rising rate of suicide among men and, increasingly, boys, arguing that men are being discouraged from speaking up and expressing themselves; she illustrated the point through Will Smith and responded directly to online critics of her work. In the second, she offered her take on a viral story about a workplace romance caught on camera, using it to talk through questions of power dynamics, consent, and consequences when a relationship crosses lines of authority. Find Ben Stein's The Capitalist Code and Todd R. Mitchell Jr.'s Never Gave Up on Amazon, and Dr. Gilda Carle's Real Men Don't Go Woke wherever books are sold.

This edition of The Neil Haley Show opens with a Celebrity Interviews simulcast from the Grotto, co-hosted by Greg Hanna, welcoming actor, author, and martial artist Ron Thomas, who played Bobby Brown in The Karate Kid and returned to the role in Cobra Kai. Thomas shared the story he loves to tell, that he was already a second-degree black belt when he auditioned and was told to keep quiet about it because producers wanted actors first, and that stunt coordinator Pat Johnson later trusted him to choreograph his own tournament fight scenes. He described Bobby as the good bad guy who knew when a line had been crossed, pointing to a cut scene in which he throws his belt at Kreese's feet and walks out, and explained how the Cobra Kai creators reimagined Bobby as a pastor still trying to do right. A favorite memory was driving Pat Morita across the valley to surprise the students at his old dojo. Thomas, a former world-champion sport jujitsu competitor, also discussed his kids' TED Talk on focus and screen time, inspired by prying his daughter away from her devices, his book The Hidden Life Lessons of Mr. Miyagi, and a new children's personal-development series. His message: never stop growing and creating. Find him at SenseiRonThomas.com.Neil then welcomed retired NYPD detectives Tom Smith and Dan Murphy, hosts of the Gold Shields podcast, in a Criminally Good with Sherrie and Jen simulcast presented by Storehouse Media Group. With more than fifty years of combined experience, the two met on the Bronx Gang Squad some twenty-five years ago and built a guest-centric true-crime show, now past 170 episodes, that keeps the focus on the detectives who lived the cases rather than on themselves. They traced its origins to a desire to restore respect for law enforcement, recalled meeting Neil's hosts at CrimeCon, and singled out standout episodes, including a challenge from former Chief of Department Louis Anemone that led them to the 1940 World's Fair bombing, the only unsolved line-of-duty homicide in NYPD history, and the Emanuela Orlandi Vatican case, recorded in English and Italian. Guests have ranged from Bundy survivor Kathy Kleiner to Taya Kyle and a Navy SEAL who led a team on the bin Laden raid. The pair also introduced Impact, their patent-protected, food-grade alternative to pepper spray now used by more than a hundred departments, at carryimpact.com. Find the show at thegoldshieldshow.com.The hour continued with a back-to-school conversation with Vanessa Vakharia, the Toronto-based Math Guru, on setting students up for a distraction-free year. She urged parents to be intentional about tools, choosing devices that do one thing well, and noted that many states are moving to limit phones in schools. Her practical advice included studying at the kitchen or dining table rather than the bedroom, and starting school-year routines a good two weeks early. In a segment tied to Texas Instruments, she praised the new TI-84 Evo graphing calculator for its familiar, icon-based screen and, above all, for what it lacks, no AI and no internet, so students stay on task and build the tool familiarity that research links to better test performance. Vakharia stressed that math anxiety is not a life sentence, that confidence grows through consistency, and that math, like life, is about the step-by-step journey rather than the destination, a theme Neil echoed from his own years teaching math. Details are at education.ti.com/evo.The program closes with a GildaGram simulcast where co-host Dr. Gilda Carle, author of Real Men Don't Go Woke, turned to men's health, arguing that men too often avoid asking for help and should be viewed as a whole system rather than just muscles and testosterone. She began walking through her ten ways men can optimize their health, starting with annual checkups and knowing your key numbers.

This edition of The Neil Haley Show opens with a Celebrity Interviews simulcast from the grotto and actor Nathan Gamble, whose new faith-based comedy Bad Counselors reaches theaters this week. Gamble described a career that ran the classic actor's arc in reverse. His second-ever audition landed him the role of Brad Pitt's son in Babel, a Best Picture nominee, at just seven years old, and steady work followed in The Mist, Marley & Me, The Dark Knight, and both Dolphin Tale films. He explained to Neil, himself a former professional wrestler, how completely his identity fused with the work, so that a stretch without booking left him feeling not like Nathan between jobs but Nathan the failed actor. By nineteen he was living alone in Los Angeles, isolated and at his lowest point, until a series of phone calls from the dean of a Ventura Bible college drew him to visit. The peace and joy he saw in those students, none of whom had the career he prized, unsettled and eventually changed him, and he stepped away from Hollywood for seven years.Gamble framed that stretch through the image of getting the Egypt out of your heart rather than merely leaving Egypt, using the time to loosen his ego's grip on acting until he could say honestly that he would be fine if he never acted again. He worked a long list of ordinary jobs, from newspaper writing to drywall and landscaping to teaching, and found real fulfillment in the conviction that his calling was larger than his career. When he returned, it was not to chase only faith-based films but to be a presence on any set, and he pointed to Kevin Sorbo, alongside whom he has filmed and whose son Braeden Neil has interviewed, as a model of an actor who works constantly without being boxed in. On Bad Counselors, directed by Chris Dowling, Gamble plays Dallas, the youth pastor who senses that two frat brothers posing as camp counselors to work off community service are frauds. He praised a cast that includes Matt Cornett, Ramon Reed, Brec Bassinger, McKaley Miller, Chris Klein, and Missi Pyle, and previewed his co-created project Bible College and the coming film Miracle on the Precipice. Asked the show's signature question, he named loving God and loving people, and being the best husband to his wife Hannah, as the things that matter most.Neil then welcomed author, podcaster, and life coach Jayson Blair for a Criminally Good with Sherrie and Jen simulcast, presented by Storehouse Media Group. Blair spoke candidly about the 2003 New York Times fabrication and plagiarism scandal that ended his journalism career, a bipolar diagnosis that followed, and the long road through the mental health field as a volunteer, clinician, and coach. That work, and a colleague's persistence, led to his podcast The Silver Linings Handbook, named for the film he loves and for his belief that hard-won lessons come through suffering. Blair described interviewing not as a checklist but as following where a guest's heart pulls, building trust so people can be vulnerable, and leaving in the pauses because a silence can reveal more than words. He reframed true crime as human stories about shared suffering, recalling Jill Harrington turning unfathomable loss into something like clay you can build with, and argued that true crime is less a gateway to sensationalism than a gateway to helping. He discussed his memoir Burning Down My Master's House, his Substacks The True Crime Times and The Center Holds, and his conviction that no one should be forgotten in a second death. The hour closes with a GildaGram simulcast where co-host Dr. Gilda Carle, author of Real Men Don't Go Woke, weighs how to handle online negativity and shares that six European countries are pulling tablets from classrooms and returning to printed books, citing drops in reading, memory, and concentration. This edition of The Neil Haley Show opens with a Total Celebrity Show conversation with Pro Football Hall of Famer and Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino, joining live from a Microsoft Store grand opening in Boca Raton, Florida. Marino took Neil back to his hometown roots in Pittsburgh, where he grew up in Oakland blocks from the University of Pittsburgh, attended Central Catholic, and felt he had no other choice but to play for Pitt. He relived the Sugar Bowl against Herschel Walker's Georgia, recalling the fourth-down touchdown he threw to his friend "Downtown" John Brown in the closing minute to win it, a play coach Jackie Sherrill has often retold, and he noted the kicker's range that day left going for it as the better call. Marino spoke warmly about the Dan Marino Foundation and Marino Campus, where students build life skills, and about Microsoft's support of the school and of South Florida groups including the Boys and Girls Club and area museums. Asked about Xbox, he joked that his favorite game is Madden, for the simple reason that he is in it, and he pointed listeners to marinocampus.org and danmarinofoundation.org.Neil then welcomed author Paul Shemella, a retired Navy SEAL captain, lecturer, and caregiver whose memoir Into the Mist: An Alzheimer's Journey chronicles his wife Lena's decline and his devotion to her. Shemella explained that dementia is an umbrella term covering roughly a hundred conditions, of which Alzheimer's is the most common, with vascular, Lewy body, and frontotemporal, the form Bruce Willis has, among the others. He spoke candidly about learning as he went, treating a brilliant, independent woman as she declined toward the mind of a child, eventually placing Lena in memory care and coming to peace with a decision that helped them both. Lena, born in Germany and bombed as a small child at the end of World War II, carried that trauma for life, and Shemella suspects it played a role in her disease. He stressed that up to forty-five percent of dementia cases may be preventable through lifestyle, pointing to diet, exercise, sleep, social connection, and staying intellectually engaged rather than shriveling up after retirement. He urged early attention to warning signs like losing wallets and repeated forgetfulness, the value of ruling out reversible mimics before seeing a neurologist, and the promise of newer blood tests, PET scans, and treatments that work best when caught early. His recent Newsweek essay warns that the American healthcare system is unprepared for a coming wave, and he shared his own mantra of living from one smile to the next. Readers can find him at paulshemella.substack.com and on Amazon, where his memoir and earlier novels appear. The hour continued with a simulcast of the Mitchell S. Karnes podcast, where the Christian crime-thriller author gave Neil an update on the Water Grave film adaptation. His Kickstarter closed a third above target, raising roughly twenty thousand dollars against a fifteen-thousand goal, with pilot filming set for August 10 and additional cast and investors coming aboard. Karnes described a two-night hotel writing retreat, free of distractions, that produced 104 pages and a finished novella draft, his plotter's approach to seeding red herrings and real clues for Nashville homicide detective Abbey Rhodes to chase, and his decision to retitle the fifth book Closure for the double dose of resolution it delivers. He previewed signings at The Spine Bookshop in Smyrna and Landmark Booksellers, plus an appearance at the Killer Nashville conference near Franklin, and invited listeners to follow his weekly podcast on the writing process. Signed copies are available at mitchellskarnesauthor.com.The hour closes with a GildaGram simulcast where co-host Dr. Gilda Carle, author of Real Men Don't Go Woke, offered pointed commentary on new figures showing a record number of Americans counted as not in the labor force, connecting the trend to themes from her book.

The discussion traverses from the "woke" cultural war to the miraculous communication breakthroughs of a non-verbal autistic son. The Crisis of Modern Masculinity and Cultural Polarization Dr. Gilda Carle, author of Real Men Don't Go Woke, argues that modern society is witnessing a dangerous diminution of men, characterized by plummeting testosterone levels and a suicide rate four times higher than that of women. She posits that "woke" ideology is inherently anti-family and anti-man, leading to a "spine-less" generation where men internalize negativity rather than fighting back. This cultural shift, according to the speakers, is a deliberate attempt to soften the citizenry for totalitarianism by emasculating those who would traditionally protect the family unit. It's been more than a week since the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of "Today" host Savannah Guthrie, and authorities have finally confirmed a suspect in the case. In a social media post on Feb. 12, the FBI called Nancy Guthrie's case a "kidnapping" and released photos of a black backpack and a person the agency described as a male about "5'9" - 5'10" tall, with an average build. Look at what's going on in the world of men today — and it's clear: the leftist-fueled anti-man agenda is having an effect. For instance: The suicide rate of men is four times higher than that of women. Why? They're being forced to live a lie — to live as if the manly traits and characteristics they were gifted at birth are somehow toxic. Dr. Gilda Carle has the solution to bring back real men in America, and she's written about it in her new book. "Real Men Don't Go Woke."

Go Woke, Go Broke: The Financial Backlash and Corporate Retreat — Charles Gasparino — Gasparino reports that woke capitalism is experiencing significant financial retrenchment as corporations suffer bottom-line consequences. BlackRock experienced approximately $14 billion in asset withdrawals, and financial institutions including Goldman Sachs are dismantling diversity programs. CEOs are systematically abandoning progressive political commitments as financial performance deteriorates, recognizing that woke agendas alienate the broader American consumer base. Home Depot founder Bernie Marcus contends that the ideological struggle continues and characterizes most CEOs who embraced wokeness as "cowards" reflexively following prevailing political sentiment. 1943

SHOW 11-28-25 CBS EYE ON THE WORLD WITH JOHN BATCHELOR 1963   The Genius of Early Photography: Nadar, Daguerre, and Dangerous Chemistry — Anika Burgess — Burgess details the risky and adventurous origins of photography as a practical medium. She examines Nadar, a visionary figure who deployed a giant balloon named Léon to fund experiments in heavier-than-air flight, having previously conducted innovative photographic expeditions into Paris's catacombs. Burgess also recounts Daguerre's 1839 presentation of the daguerreotype—a remarkably realistic, singular image created using hazardous chemicals including iodine and mercury, which posed significant occupational and health risks to early practitioners. Early Photography's Scientific Reach: Lunar and Underwater Photography — Anika Burgess — Burgessexplores early photography's critical scientific applications, noting that François Arago predicted the daguerreotype would enable detailed mapping of the lunar surface. Early astrophotographers encountered formidable technical challenges involving distance calculations, celestial motion, and insufficient ambient light. James Nasmyth controversially photographed plaster casts and molds of the lunar surface, which contemporary observers praised as scientifically truthful. Burgess also highlights Louis Boutan, who persistently developed practical underwater photography using pressurized hard-hat diving equipment, establishing a new scientific capability. Photography and Social Justice: Riis, Watkins, and the Question of Truth — Anika Burgess — Burgessdemonstrates how photography became a transformative tool for social advocacy and reform. Jacob Riis, a newspaper journalist documenting Manhattan's tenement poverty, employed flash powder ignited in cast-iron frying pans to photograph the grim, overcrowded interior conditions of slums for his landmark book How the Other Half Lives, frequently without obtaining subject consent. Burgess also discusses Carleton Watkins, who transported over 2,000 pounds of large-format photographic equipment to Yosemite Valley, producing images that proved instrumental in securing federal preservation and protection of the landscape. From X-Rays to Motion Pictures: Expanding the Photographic Medium — Anika Burgess — Burgess traces the expansion of photographic technology beyond conventional image capture. She examines Alice Austin'sintimate and playful photographs documenting her social circle with candid authenticity. The discovery of X-raysby Wilhelm Röntgen was rapidly branded as "the new photography" or "shadow photography," adopted swiftly for both entertainment and medical diagnostic applications despite practitioners possessing no understanding of severe radiation hazards. Burgess concludes with Paul Martin's candid street photography using concealed cameras hidden within top hats and Eadweard Muybridge's sequential motion studies, which directly enabled the invention of motion pictures. Angelica Schuyler: Albany, Elopement, and the Start of the Revolution — Molly Beer — Beer discusses her book Angelica, focusing on Angelica Schuyler Church, daughter of General Philip Schuyler. Her mother, Katherine, oversaw construction of their Albany residence, The Pastures, a substantial estate reflecting family prominence. Angelica received a rigorous education consistent with Dutch cultural traditions emphasizing women's financial and business literacy for family management. In 1777, during Burgoyne's invasion of New York, Angelica profoundly disappointed her mother by eloping with John Carter, an Englishman she found intellectually engaging and cosmopolitan. Angelica and the Founders: The Revolution and the Hamilton Connection — Molly Beer — Beer examines Angelica's pivotal role during the American Revolution, including her service alongside Rochambeau's army, traveling to Yorktown shortly after delivering her third child. Her sister Elizabeth ("Betsy") married Alexander Hamilton, who deliberately married into the prominent Schuyler family to elevate his social standing and political prospects. Following the war, Angelica's eldest son, Philip, founded the town of Angelica in western New York, the community where Beer herself was subsequently raised. Angelica in Europe: John Church, London Society, and Diplomacy — Molly Beer — Following ratification of the peace treaty, Angelica and her husband sailed to Paris to collect outstanding payments owed by the Frenchgovernment. John Carter leveraged the wartime amnesty to settle accumulated debts, reconcile with his estranged family, and legally adopt the name John Barker Church. Angelica relocated to London's elegant Mayfairneighborhood, where she established herself as a prominent American patriot. She strategically positioned herself at the intersection of cultural and diplomatic negotiations, entertaining influential figures including Lafayette and the Adamses, while exerting subtle influence over American diplomatic representatives toward negotiated peace. Angelica's Later Life: Return, Tragedy, and Founding Angelica, NY — Molly Beer — Angelica visited the United States for President Washington's 1789 inauguration but quickly returned to London, disappointed that the nascent republic fell short o Woke Capitalism: Origins, ESG, DEI, and the Power of BlackRock — Charles Gasparino — Gasparinotraces the origins of "woke capitalism," detailing how corporate America shareholder returns toward stakeholder capitalism models. L The Flashpoints of Woke Capitalism: Occupy Wall Street and the SEC — Charles Gasparino — Gasparinoidentifies the 2008 financial crisis and the ensuing progressive populist backlash, including the Occupy Wall Streetencampment at Zuccotti Park, as pivotal flashpoints accelerating corporate woke adoption.... Disney and ESPN: Running a Blue Company in a Red State — Charles Gasparino — Gasparino analyzes the radicalization of the Walt Disney Company, noting that CEO Bob Iger brought progressive cultural affinities while the company.... Go Woke, Go Broke: The Financial Backlash and Corporate Retreat — Charles Gasparino — Gasparinoreports that woke capitalism is experiencing significant financial retrenchment as corporations suffer bottom-line consequences... Freedom's Forge: FDR, WWII Mobilization, and Bill Knudsen — Arthur Herman — Herman discusses his book Freedom's Forge, detailing the extraordinary challenge FDR confronted in May 1940 to prepare America for modern industrial warfare. The preeminent industrialist summoned for this task was Bill Knudsen, CEO of General Motors. Knudsen, a Danish immigrant and former Ford executive, possessed unparalleled expertise in flexible mass production—the capacity to modify production line processes continuously while maintaining output. Knudsen applied these revolutionary manufacturing techniques to transform the American automobile industry into an "Arsenal of Democracy," producing critical war materiel including military trucks and armored tanks. Henry Kaiser: The Builder of Liberty Ships — Arthur Herman — Herman profiles Henry Kaiser, the second transformative figure in Freedom's Forge. Kaiser, a road construction entrepreneur who had previously coordinated monumental infrastructure projects including the Boulder Dam, demonstrated relentless commitment to ambitious thinking and delivery ahead of schedule and under budget constraints. In late 1940, Kaiser persuaded both Britishand American governments to contract him to construct "throwaway freighters"—Liberty ships—despite possessing no prior shipbuilding experience. Between 1941 and 1945, Kaiser successfully built 2,710 Liberty ships, fundamentally enabling Allied logistics and supply operations. The B-29 Superfortress and the Battle of Omaha — Arthur Herman — Herman recounts the genesis of the B-29 Superfortress bomber, conceived after General Hap Arnold consulted with Charles Lindbergh in 1939. The B-29 represented the ultimate expression of air supremacy doctrine, demanding revolutionary technologies including pressurized crew cabins and remote-controlled gun turrets that did not yet exist. Bill Knudsen directed the program, overcoming severe delays and persistent technical deficiencies. Knudsen won the "Battle of Omaha" by insisting that aircraft be extensively modified after assembly to achieve operational flight status, thereby integrating a massive female industrial workforce into B-29 production processes. Lessons from WWII: Unleashing Private Enterprise — Arthur Herman — Herman explores the strategic tension during WWII between New Deal administrators favoring centralized government command and industrialists prioritizing private sector innovation and operational flexibility. FDR and Knudsen learned from the disastrous centralized economic control failures of WWI, choosing instead to permit American private enterprise to "determine production methodologies and develop solutions for urgent national requirements." The fundamental secret to Allied victory was unleashing private sector dynamism, entrepreneurial expertise, and competitive energy. Herman draws contemporary parallels, arguing that modern defense strategy must replicate this model, contrasting bureaucratic NASA operations with innovative private enterprises including SpaceX.

PREVIEW — Charles Gasparino — Go Woke, Go Broke: CEOs, Groupthink, and the Radicalization of Corporate America. Gasparino argues in Go Woke, Go Broke that the radicalization of American corporate leadership originated at the executive level, not within HR departments. He contends that concepts including ESG and DEI were systematically adopted through corporate groupthink, particularly at Davos, which he characterizes as "progressive group think on steroids." This dynamic has created an ecosystem wherein CEOs collectively pursue an identical corporate agenda divorced from shareholder interests and market realities.

Cruz’s Visit to El Salvador Cruz is in El Salvador meeting with President Nayib Bukele, government officials, U.S. military, and embassy staff. He describes dramatic changes in safety under Bukele’s leadership—highlighting the crackdown on gangs, mass arrests of MS-13 members, and construction of a mega-prison. Cruz emphasizes the murder rate dropping from the highest in the world (100 per 100,000 in 2015) to 1.9 per 100,000 in 2024, a 98% decrease. He contrasts Bukele’s tough-on-crime approach with U.S. cities that, in his view, are paralyzed by progressive policies. Cruz stresses that security improvements are also prompting reverse migration: Salvadorans in the U.S. are reportedly returning home. MS-13 and U.S. Politics They discuss Kamar Abrego Garcia, an MS-13 member from Maryland involved in human trafficking and domestic abuse, who is facing deportation. Cruz criticizes Democrats, particularly Senator Chris Van Hollen, for being sympathetic to such individuals instead of supporting law and order. This segment is framed as an example of Democrats prioritizing criminals over public safety. Cracker Barrel & “Go Woke, Go Broke” Cruz and Ferguson mock Cracker Barrel’s recent rebranding decisions, claiming the company abandoned its traditional customer base for “woke” marketing strategies. They compare the backlash to similar situations with Bud Light and Target, noting plummeting stock prices and customer revolt. Intimidated by activists on the left, virtually every major corporation in America has embraced woke politics. For years, these businesses could get away with progressive virtual signaling without worrying about alienating customers. Then the anti-woke counter-offensive movement arrived. As high-profile, disastrous backlashes at companies like Anheuser-Busch, Disney, Target and other companies reveal, companies who cave to the demands of left-wing social justice activists are being punished like never before. Customers are fighting back and taking their money elsewhere. In Go Woke, Go Broke, New York Times bestselling author and veteran financial journalist Charles Gasparino calls out the nonsense and takes readers inside the radicalization of corporate America, based on numerous insider interviews and exclusive reporting.  The story is wilder than you can imagine. Gasparino introduces readers to America's most woke corporate leaders, tracing the origins of ESG and "stakeholder investing.” He takes readers along on for a rollicking ride through corporate America as he shines a light, unlike anyone else, on Fortune 500 companies that have suffered for caving to the silly and irresponsible demands of social justice activists and left-wing interests.   A respected financial reporter who has covered finance for more than 30 years, Gasparino is deeply sourced and has dug into countless episodes involving Wall Street greed, corporate hubris, and government overreach in enterprise. This explosive, untold story and in-depth examination of the seminal players, institutions, and forces of the markets shows that, for the sake of global stability, we must immediately pry the clenched fists of radical activists off the levers of the economy. 1894 DEBS
