John 17 is Jesus last time of prayer before the cross and in it we see the dream on the heart of Christ, was a dream for our common unity, that we would love each other like Jesus loves us. And yet how well have we responded to his prayer. We have been so easily divided, race, covid perspectives, economics, when it comes to the unity of the church, I can't say I'm looking forward to another season of politics. Listen, the early church didn't ignore the politics of the day because they were afraid. They ignored the politics of the day because they believed they had found something far more powerful, far more glorious. They believed that they were part of a Kingdom that made politics look like fool's play. Rather than settling for a lesser glory, they decided to strive for a glory-saturated community. For almost 25 years, this has been my prayer... "Father show us your glory. Fill us with your love. Make us one."
The quote "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars, to change the world" encapsulates the essence of ambition and empowerment. It serves as a rallying cry for individuals to embrace their aspirations and recognize the innate potential within themselves. This message is particularly poignant for our YouTube podcast audience as we explore topics related to personal growth, achievement, and making a positive impact. It encourages viewers to believe in their dreams, persevere through challenges, and strive for greatness, ultimately inspiring them to pursue their passions and contribute to positive change in the world.
The Redeem team was an awesome compilation of talent, but the Dream Team was the best in the history of team sports. If both were healthy and in their primes.... Sit Back, relax, and listen up!
Today we dive into a quote by the American abolitionist and social activist Harriet Tubman, "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world." If you are listening on Spotify please share add your thoughts there. Layne Dalfen has been interpreting her own and her client's dreams for years. During her lectures, as well as through her books Have a Great Dream; Book 1; The Overview: Decoding Your Dreams To Discover Your Full Potential, and its companion work Have a Great Dream; Book 2; A Deeper Discussion, Dalfen's goal is to introduce the general public to the value of understanding their dreams. Dalfen came to her work 45 years ago, after entering Freudian psychoanalysis for depression resulting from giving birth to a daughter suffering from Down Syndrome. Every great dream requires hard work. So why do you sit on what needs attention? Don't let what's in your heart fade away. Start by taking aim today. One thing that crushes my spirit is when I hear people talk about how they wish things were different; the same season with a different outcome. Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT And then they get quiet as if all is done. Nothing left to do but remained parked at the status quo. Why is it that we settle for less when in our hearts we desire more? This is nothing new. People have been behaving like this for centuries. However, there are a select few that rise to the top. Have you ever wondered why certain people get to where they are and others never do? Believe it or not. You know I have. It's one of the fireside thoughts I have on a quiet night soaking in reality. Why do we let our dreams die and others see them through? Some would say it has to do with opportunity and money. And to a degree, I would agree. However, nowadays, there is an abundance of opportunities and even financial support that's available. But still, some people die with their dreams inside. I would like to think very optimistically that anyone can achieve their dreams. They can chase that better job, graduate from college, have a family, build a business, train for a marathon. You name it, it can be done. But what really gets in the way? Excuses Finances Relationships Attitude Beliefs "As far as you believe, that's as far as you will achieve! Your beliefs are the blueprint to your success." ~ Kristianne Wargo Excuses, finances, relationships, and attitudes all can be dealt with quite easily. Your beliefs go much deeper. Beliefs are the unspoken hope or tattered feelings that either build you up or tear you down. They become the foundation on which a dream is built. So if you want to achieve, you must believe and build differently. The K.I.S.S. ~ Build differently! Beliefs are easy to maintain, but they are extremely challenging to change. Because we begin building our beliefs at birth. When your parents or guardians raised you, they influenced the beliefs in which you've claimed. And anything done from birth on is hard to change. "As the desire becomes greater than the pain, then the belief has room to change." ~ Kristianne Wargo You can look at things with a different lens. Build differently. Admit that change takes time. Unfortunately, we are surrounded by a world with highlight reels of perfected lives. Know your truth. Some of our beliefs come from false narratives that we've been told for years. And we accept these as absolute truths. Root your self-talk in hope and grace. No one is perfect. You've got to be able to climb out of the trenches when life happens. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!" ~ Kristianne Wargo You matter. Just because life isn't fair to everyone around you doesn't mean you have to give up on your dreams. God has given you talents and gifts. Is up to you how you utilize and share them with the world you touch. Every great dream requires hard work. So why do you sit on what needs attention? Don't let what's in your heart fade away. Start by taking aim today! "Be present. Be incredible. When Prophet Yusuf (as) was a young boy, he had a dream in which he saw the sun, the moon and eleven stars bow down to him. Prophet Yusuf (as) told his father, Yaqub (as), about his strange dream. Yaqub (as) told him to be careful and not to tell anyone else about the dream. Prophet Yaqub (as) loved all of his sons. But they all, except Binyamin, felt jealous of Yusuf (as) because they thought their father loved Yusuf more than he loved them. See what happened next?
Genesis 41 brings us to a dream that leads to Joseph becoming in charge of Egypt. What a promotion, from in the pit (prison) to top guy only under Pharaoh.

I am living proof of the saying, “Better late than never.” But maybe even more, “You can't rush the blooming of the flower.” I wanted to start a podcast 10 years ago. So whoever you are, wherever you are in your life, no matter how old you are, or how long you have spent thinking about doing something- (it's probably not longer than the time I have spent thinking about things without taking any actual steps towards them), It's never too late. I promise. For so long, I was just a seed. And I needed a lot of water and sunlight before i could grow. Maybe the conditions weren't quite right, but they taught me to weather a storm, they taught me to become so resilient. And, those conditions taught me to find the sun if there was just one ray in the entire sky. I would find it. I would cherish it. I would see it. I would bask in its warmth. I would survive off of it. You should see what I do with the entire sun's warmth now. But I had a journey to get here-My whole life I had just dreamt and not done. Today, I do. Today i put these beautiful dreams into words, speech, writing, art, music, shows.I hope in this podcast and in every medium that you consume my expression, that you will feel my heart-Because my friends, my heart is the reason I am hereI try my hardest to let it lead and i try my best to let my mind take the back seatBecause, even the most beautiful minds are not good for everything-Especially going into the unknown. No mind is good for that. Every mind will scream, STOP! DON'T DO IT! DANGER!But I become better and better at not listening to this beautiful yet fearful mind, sometimes. I know it's just trying to protect me. But i need the life i deserve. The one I'm supposed to live. The one only i can live. And i am getting it. It is already mineThat's what i protect now above all else. TOMORROW... The life I DESERVE. All my life i have just thought and thought without taking action- Because action requires courage- courage is the action of the heart. And I have been so afraid. But in allowing myself to pursue, giving myself what I deserve, sticking to a schedule and doing what i say i will do, I have discovered a heart whose beauty is beyond anything I could imagineToday, i'm so glad and i'm so honored to share with you another beautiful expression of meThe podcast is called “Touch Tomorrow” because my whole life I have waited until tomorrow. Until today. I love you. See you today. You have a Great Dream. You have a great vision. But it's in here. And you really want it out there. But time flies, and you still don't see your vision out there. But you know that it will come true one day. But that day is not today. And you think it will be tomorrow. But you said tomorrow yesterday. And ten years have passed. What role do you have to play in order to see your vision in this world?Who do you have to be in order to manifest this Great Dream? How should you think, behave, act?

Today we begin a new series entitled, Reimagine the Church. The Church is a historically complicated entity. It is both Organism and Organisation . People and Institution. Visible and Invisible. Local and Global. Spiritual and Physical. Eternal and Temporal. Gathered and Scattered. Perpetual and Intermittent. Being perfected and imperfect. It is a community capable of initiating and sustaining great healing, as well inflicting great pain. It is filled with and led by broken people, who are at the same time on a journey toward glory. It is complicated. But it is above all else Gods'.In recent years, perhaps more than any before, the Church is faced with untold complexity, as the era of Chritendom—a period defined by an almost ubiquitous cultural acceptance of Jesus and His Church—has summarily ended… and this was before COVID-19 forced us all to reevaluate how we even defined “Church.”So what do we do, those of us who have an earnest love for this overtly complex entity? How do we engage her? How do we faithfully live as God would have His people to live? How do we faithfully exist as an expression of God's beloved community? Frankly, I have few answers, but many hopes. Exploring those hopes, through the lens of what God has to say about His church and her activity in this era, is what I hope we can do through this six week series.I want to invite us to Reimagine the Church. I want to journey with you as we try, by God's leading, to release the images and ideas we have of “Church” to Him, and attempt rather to reimagine His Church as He intended and intends her to be.

As I embark on this great adventure, leaving our jobs, homes, families, I wonder who stands up at this age to say, I am ready for a new beginning? We raise our hands to that. Look around your life today. You can plant your feet, fold your arms and say Not Me. I will not change. Life brings change for you. Life is constant creation. Great changes come. Allow yourself to see what is working, where great growth is coming and where stubbornness is allowing it to become more painful. Can you do it? Of course you can! This planet is here for our use, embrace it! What is whispering in your ear? Tapping you on the shoulder saying Try Me! Move in willingness in the great experience of growth. What is your great dream? It will not be stopped by “I'm not ready. I can't do it.” Yes you can!

December 16, 2018 | The circumstances of his impending marriage were significantly less than ideal. The year they got betrothed, Joseph discovered that she was pregnant. How? By whom? Who could possibly believe Mary’s preposterous claim? How dumb did she think he was? How devastated Joseph must have been as he wrestled with his hurt and anger over what he assumed was her unfaithfulness, and the betrayal of all his hopes and dreams for marriage. And yet, he attempts to do “the honourable thing.” He plans to end the engagement quietly, so as not to draw negative attention to her, but certainly also not to his own embarrassment. And yet… in the very moment of his despair, God sends Joseph The Dream. Not just any dream. Not just a dream of explanation. God overshadows Joseph with God’s own hopes for a glorious future, God’s own Great Dream for humanity. Join us this week as we remember the story in both word and song presented by our Heritage Praise Team.
Dream Analyst Layne Dalfen, who founded The Dream Interpretation Center in Montreal in 1997, is the author of the new two-book set, Have a Great Dream. Layne believes all dreams are great—even nightmares – because they hold the key to solving the problems and challenges currently plaguing you and to becoming who you were intended to be. With her 45-year deep background in dream study, Layne will explain the process that enables you to understand what your unconscious is trying to reveal to you while you sleep, how that applies directly to an issue that is stressing you, and the way to use that information to find the solution. It’s right there—just waiting to be unpacked! Layne says your dreams can be the key to unlocking lifelong patterns that are your default behavior, giving you access to your full potential. haveagreatdream.com The five things you need to know about Canadian/Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Stephen Voyce: He’s a vegetarian, unnaturally terrified of spiders, obsessed with Batman, Michael Jackson is his idol, but most importantly, he believes that everyone deserves to live out their dreams. When his career was in its infancy, his music served as a coping mechanism to overcome the loss of his mum, who instilled in him a sense of unending curiosity. And in her passing, he saw that flame extinguish. As his journey progressed, Voyce saw how his music touched hearts, and that rekindled that spark. “Whatever you project into the universe, the universe projects back at you. So you might as well be a guiding light and watch the universe come back and guide you.” VOYCEMUSIC.COM Instagram.com/StephenVoyce
The title of today's special guest, Layne Dalfen's new two-book set-Have a Great Dream-is telling. That is because renowned Dream Analyst Dalfen believes all dreams are great-even nightmares! That is because they hold the key to solving the problems and challenges that are currently plaguing you and to become who you were intended to be. With a 45-year deep background in dream study on the works of Freud, Jung, Perls and Adler, Dalfen shows the process that enables you to understand what your subconscious is trying to reveal to you while you sleep, how that applies directly to some issue that is stressing you, and then the way to use the information presented therein to find the solution. It's right there-just waiting to be unpacked. But your dreams can do much more than that! Oftentimes, you are stuck in a situation because you are continuing to react based on the beliefs and habits that were instilled in you from childhood. Lifelong patterns are your default behavior. This is often your "shadow" side holding back out of fear. But your dreams show you new possibilities-new ways to respond-that would never have occurred to you under the old paradigm, opening you up to your full creative expression--unlimited by past repetitive constructs. Dalfen doesn't subscribe to the idea that certain types of dreams mean the same thing to everyone. "The associations our unconscious develops are as unique to each person as their fingerprint, "she says. Layne Dalfen came to her work after entering Freudian psychoanalysis for depression resulting from giving birth to a daughter suffering from Down Syndrome and subsequently being advised to give her up into the care of others. She continues to be an active member at the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD).

Our International Sunday was packed with energy and life as we celebrated the diversity and unity of the church, and Pastor Wes shared God's Great Dream For The World; a dream of unity for all people from all backgrounds and nations. Acts 10 teaches us that “God does not show favouritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
