Empowerment and finding your unique lane and understanding your unique contribution is what we are missing in today's world. Put in another way, understanding your self and finding your purpose is the key to unlocking many of our collective issues. That's the mission behind Debra's extensive work pairing Astrology and psychology, and it's a boldly-embodied mission of our guest, Janne Robinson. Blunt, raw, and immediately accessible emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually to all who read her words, Janne Robinson is a societal visionary, author, film director, and coach who swings from the very first sentence. Robinson's work as an artist and facilitator is to encourage people to become accessible to their truths. She believes that our world is sick—and truth is our medicine. Janne and Debra share many common threads- from the celebration of women's power and entrepreneurship, to the liberation of our planet, to the brightly-colored tapestry that is a Gemini's personality, and so much in between. Debra highlights these connections and also breaks down where there are differences between her and Janne as seen in Janne's Astrological chart, like how the big, spontaneous, and loud effects of Jupiter play a part in giving Janne “extra juju”. Hitchhike on a moving trip to Sedona that Janne recalls having a profound impact on her, and how leaning into the indigenous lessons of that trip have instilled new perspectives on the importance of being in right relation to the planet and to others. This conversation with Janne and Debra is rich with wisdom on our history as tribal people, the power of intuition, and individual empowerment with authentic living. “Let there be no reason to not eat this life alive.” Enjoy! On today's episode of “The Language of Love,” Dr. Laura Berman sits down with Janne Robinson, a feminist beat poet, speaker, and visionary. The two women talk about life, love, trauma, open-heartedness, and finding ‘the one.' How do you know when you have found your forever soulmate? And how do you know when you have found someone who is just here temporarily to help you deepen your journey and continue your soul-work? They also delve into the idea of “you spot it, you got it” and how you can claim those parts of yourselves that might scare you or even trigger. How can you claim your ‘wild' and embrace your shadow-self? Robinson explains that most of us constantly live in a state of conformity, always trying to blend in and achieve concrete milestones in order to prove our worth. Robinson also talks about the feelings of jealousy and inferiority that can plague us when we don't feel as ‘enlightened' or as ‘free' as other people around us who are living consciously and seemingly fearlessly. She explains that the best way to get over that envy is to actually spend time with those we admire and wish to emulate, because it will help to draw out that energy and what we wish to create in our own lives. They also talk about body wisdom and how you can tap into your body's innate needs and desires. How can movement and physical activity help us unlock our self-worth and intuition? How can you ‘be in the body' even when you are dealing with deep grief and trauma, and are frightened to face those feelings buried within you. “If we must have milestones—mine will be measured by how much joy I have collected at the end of each day and how often in this life I have truly, deeply, opened,” writes Robinson. “Seek, see, love, do.”
This writers words are completely untamed & unashamed! Her voice haunts with the legacy of early poets such as Gloria Steinem & Charles Bukowski. Her poetry breaths sexual liberation, choice, and overall championing women to their birthright of not only equality but leadership. She states that her career is to “share slabs of her heart for a living." Her ability to capture the human experience with unrefined sincerity makes her an incredible force in the modern landscape of personal expression. Her loyal following of enthusiasts on social media are there not only for her brutal honesty and lyrical grace but also for her lifestyle, which is a mirror of her devotion to joy. Robinson's films and art shit on the societal "shoulds" and norms and encourage people to ‘build their own box'. She is an outrageous idealist and master at effortlessly marrying the life she wishes to live with her work, and this enrages and inspires many who believe they are trapped. She directed a spoken word poetry film in NYC involving 18 women reading the lines from her poem, “This Is For The Women Who Don't Give a Fuck.” The film was a viral sensation online and was nominated for the 2016 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. She writes when grief takes her down to the white tile floor of her kitchen and keeps her there all night. She writes her disdain for the commercialization of spiritualism and in the same breath demands that people heed their gut before their guru. She writes of surfing naked in broad daylight. She doesn't find her radical vulnerability brave, she finds it common sense—like breathing. And she brings us all there within ourselves as we read her work. I feel more me, more fully expressed, more bold and courageous, more raw after her words touch my soul. & I'm so excited for you guys to experience her today! -what it was like growing up with two moms in one home, & what a huge impact her mom had on her by not raising her in the cultural constraints.. -the thought that we choose our mothers -her poem titled I AM NOT AFRAID TO TELL YOU THAT I AM BEAUTIFUL -allowing ourselves to feel beautiful -her journey with money as an artist -her poem This Is For The Women Who Don't Give A Fuck -activism with out anger -Why we give so many fucks -her advice for those who want to give less fucks -keeping things sacred while also creating content -The universe as a cosmic waitress Books mentioned: pussy, women rising, wild mercy, the sum of all our parts, getting the love you want, the art of loving, attached, the 5 love languages, you can heal your life, mirror work, this is for the women that don't give a fuck AFFILIATES: Pleasure Wands & Yoni eggs: https://waands.com/?ref=MvvfOgLGokjDQQ CODE “JADE” for a discount Royal Codes Goddess Wear: Royal Codes | Goddess Wear CODE “JADE” for a discount CBD DirectHemp.com - A Better Way to CBD CODE “JADE” for a discount HigherDOSE Infrared products: CODE “JADE75” for $75 off Intro music: Milckmusic.com @milckmusic on TikTok, ig, fb, Twitter Somebodysbeloved.com Production: Reel In Motion https://instagram.com/untamedandunashamedpodcast?utm_medium=copy_link See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode, I talk with the incomparable Janne Robinson for a second time and it was such a rich and varied conversation.Janne originally came on in 2019 in an episode called Speaking Truth Unapologetically where we spoke about her upbringing, living in a place that resonates with the soul, how she came to her creative work, discernment and worth in relationships, and much, much more.Janne is a wild at heart, eyes to the sky, feet on the ground kind of woman. Her capacity to show up truthfully and vulnerably is a gift cherished and enjoyed by all of those who enter her orbit. She is a poet, a coach, champion for truth, and all-around deeply inspiring human. Some topics we touch on…EMDR Therapy and why Janne thinks it’s one of the most effective out there. Why travel is tough for her as a highly sensitive person (HSP).The benefits of starting your day with a bath. Her experience with beginning to heal the Mother wound. How we are shifting into the Matriarchy. The feminine practices Janne is integrating into her daily routine. Her experience with hiring/finding the right team.An extremely expansive story of money and abundance.Relationships, falling in love, and finding your human.Entrepreneurs and love.Entrepreneurs and self-care.Why Janne is waking up at 5:00 am and its relation to the Ayurvedic doshas.Money, manifestation, and reprogramming the subconscious. How she faces and integrates self-doubt.Healing the shame around sharing and expressing the spectrum of human emotion. And so much more! I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it. There is so much to be gleaned from Janne’s wisdom and this is definitely one to keep coming back to. She released her first collection of poetry, “This is for the Women who Don’t Give A Fuck” in 2017 while simultaneously building “This is for the women”, a media and apparel brand that empowers women to walk tall like an old cypress tree. Harleighblu & Bluestaeb - "Queeen Dem (feat. Janne Robinson)" from the 2019 self-released album She. British R&B vocalist Harleighblu teams up with German producer Bluestaeb on the collaborative album She. On today's Song of the Day, the duo find inspiration in the poetry of Janne Robinson. Harleighblu toldHighsnobiety in an email: I wrote the track Queeen Dem (pronounced like ManDem), after being inspired by a poem called 'This is for the women that don’t give a fuck' by Janne Robinson. The poem reads ‘this is for the women who drink too much whisky, stay up too late and have sex like they mean it — it really spoke to me. I tried to capture the strength of the poem, with a nod to Janne and then elaborate with my own take on completely owning your own womanhood. Within writing the first few lines, I entitled the piece 'Queeen Dem.' Queeen gets 3 E’s to accentuate the fact you are a queen. I had a blast recording this episode with Janne Robinson. Janne is a 21st-century feminist beat poet, a personal development coach, a surfer, a beacon of inspiration, and so much more. With her raw, unabashed style, Janne takes us on a journey of her pursuit of personal truth. This journey weaves through recalcitrant body shame, the lightness and heaviness of impacting legions of women, and her passion for empowering others. Janne is a master of heart-centered connection, and she has built a career around her gift. Through her writing, she shares her heart with immense vulnerability and intimacy. Her first book of poetry, entitled This is for the Women Who Don't Give a Fuck, is soon to be followed by an equally provocative second release. Janne's self-care routine includes writing and other loves: surfing and nature. Through each she can disconnect from the daily grind and connect directly to spirit. She yearns to be more self-reliant, especially in this uncertain time. Whether that means hunting for food, growing a garden, crafting natural medicine, or living off the grid, each conscious step can lead to greater resiliency. (Listen all the way through to the end of the interview for a special discount code for Pacific Rim College's incredible online herbal programs to help increase your resiliency!) Janne's authenticity has emerged as a powerful tool that has helped her guide countless individuals through her coaching and retreats. Learn more about her work and opportunities for your personal growth on her website, jannerobinson.com. To conclude this episode, Janne begins the beautiful account of searching for her father, whom she had never met or heard from and knew nothing of his whereabouts. It is a moving tale that involves global travels, letters, journals, and so much more, and one that will be further explored and concluded in an upcoming episode with Janne. Grab a hot drink and relax while Janne brings you into to the extraordinary world that is her life and helps you find the value in your personal truth. Lauren is a champion of authenticity and simply just becomes more and more real throughout the episode as she begins to settle in (it takes a lot of bravery to be recorded while asked confronting questions). She speaks into the challenge of figuring out what her purpose is, but has a pretty clear statement of what it is by the end of the episode. She speaks into how decisions sometimes don’t necessarily come from her own heart - this is something that, as humans, we all fall into at one time or another. She deeply questions herself and her intentions with the way she reaches resolutions. It’s incredibly profound to see how self-aware Lauren is, despite that she claims to feel “disconnected.”My favourite part of this episode: Lauren’s transition from, what she claims to be, an inauthenticity to a pure and completely organic authenticity. She is a creature of love in all different forms. Janne is a feminist poet, a life coach, an activist and a motivational speaker who shares slabs of her heart for a living. Janne gives a voice to experiences that many women and people have, but don't always have permission to share or have the ability to articulate. In this episode, Janne shares how she “walks tall” in her truth and how you can too.
It can be incredibly vulnerable to receive, especially if you've been a giver or an over-giver your whole life. To receive means believing yourself to be worthy of attention, respect, care, compassion, and love. Intellectually you might believe this, but do you feel it in your body? Janne Robinson is an author, poet, friend, and a woman of distinction and we talk about the power of receiving. We dive into what blocks us from receiving the gifts this world and it's people have to offer us. To give and to receive means being available to ourselves which is some of the most challenging work we'll have to do in this lifetime. What you'll learn (or why you should care): • The power of receiving as an act of giving • The importance of compassion and empathy when it comes to seeing people for who they are and not their actions • How to receive love, vulnerability, and openness Where to find Janne: Website https://www.jannerobinson.com/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/jannerobinson/ Resources and Links This Is For The Women Who Don't Give a Fuck book https://amzn.to/2KGpNfk I am a Woman of Distinction poem https://www.jannerobinson.com/pages/i-am-a-woman-of-distinction Rea-Ann Wood-Schatz from Integrity Seminars https://integrityseminars.com Gay Hendricks and The Big Leap https://hendricks.com/ The Big Leap book https://amzn.to/2z4Vcl0 Brenda St Louise is a Certified Money Coach https://www.brendastlouis.com/ Meet Prem, the healer from Crete https://www.facebook.com/healthyself.prem/ Attached, the book on Attachment Theory by Amir Levine and Rachel Heller https://amzn.to/2HeT5iP Learn more about The Love Drive Website https://thelovedrive.com/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/thelovedrive Newsletter https://thelovedrive.com/newsletter Facebook https://www.facebook.com/thelovedriveshow/ Become a Contributing Lovebird Support The Love Drive here https://thelovedrive.com/join/

On this Band of Rebels episode, we're doing things a bit differently. For the next 4 weeks, I’ll be asking 12 Rebels the same question. “What advice would you give your 20-year-old-self?” The panel of Real Rebels for this episode are Mark Groves, Janne Robinson, and Ciele Beau. Each of their answers was taken from the end of their previous episodes when I ask them this question in the rapid-fire segment. The Band of Rebels series was designed to act as a platform for the voices of the RRP Community. So often we listen to a podcast and don't ever connect with fellow listeners. We also live in a world where we're judged by the number of followers we have. Often times we only end up hearing the wisdom and voices of those who have large social followings. This isn't to say those humans are lovely humans, I just feel it's important to branch out. Just because someone has 10 followers doesn't mean they don't know some good sh*t worth sharing. I firmly believe that we all have a deep inner-wisdom, regardless of the number of followers we have to our name. The Band of Rebels series puts the mic in the hands of people you might not otherwise hear from while simultaneously connects you lovely listeners with other listeners whose wisdom might just be the remedy you needed. Lots of love! Your Host - Katie B

On this episode, I talk with Janne Robinson a 21st-century feminist beat poet who is a real live badass woman and someone I’ve been waiting to have on since the beginning.Janne lives the California dream driving her Jeep to the nearest surf spot before she even thinks about diving into anything else for the day. She is wild, she is free, and she is living her truth through and through. Her outspoken and powerful prose hits home on a level few can reach. She simply is, unapologetically Janne.
Janne Robinson is a good friend of mine who routinely inspires me with her words, her work, her heart, and her gentle ferocity. She is a poet, she is a speaker, and she is a force for good in this mad, mad world. I cannot recommend this episode enough, as we cover a diverse range of topics, everything from the bible to advocating for environmental change. It's SO GOOD. With this episode, I've got some real talk for you. If you've got a pulse, my guest Janne Robinson can probably find one way or another to inspire you or strike a chord within you. Janne is the ultimate renaissance woman. She is a poet, author, entrepreneur, speaker, women's empowerment thought leader, and an avid surfer (which let's not lie, we love on this show). Janne describes what she does as ‘empowering people to live their truths and be authentic.' How's that for a mission statement? As a writer and modern day beat poet, Janne carries the torch of icons, like Jack Kerouac, Charles Bukowski, and Gloria Steinem. She has been published in various major literary outlets, and has had multiple pieces go viral, including a spoken word poetry film based on a poem she wrote titled, “This Is For The Women Who Don't Give a Fuck.” That piece received a bunch of critical praise and was actually nominated for an award at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. She has since written book and built a fashionable clothing brand around that poem. I found my conversation with Janne to be captivating, not only because I really dig her take on the world, but also because of her no bullshit approach to creating the life she really wants. I sincerely hope you'll get something out of it too. Before we get into it, I want to take a second to dedicate this episode to all the strong ladies in my life, especially my mom, who is total old school and embodies all the amazing things strong women have to offer the world. Mom - this episode reminded me of you, and I want you to know that you inspire, motivate, and invigorate me and those around you more than you'll ever know. Honestly, if one day I can raise a daughter like you, I won't only be able to call parenthood a success, but I will also have been able to do it precisely because of you. Enjoy! Jennifer Hill asks author and poet, Janne Robinson, about how she came to live her passion of being a writer. Janne talks about growing up in a non-traditional environment and how that helped her to break free of societal norms and pursue what really mattered to her. Janne also discusses the doubts she overcame on her path to writing her first book “This is for the women who don’t give a fuck.” jannerobinson.com Janne Robinson is a 21st-century feminist beat poet. Her voice haunts with the legacy of early feminists and poets such as Gloria Steinem, Charles Bukowski, and Jack Kerouac. Her no sugar shit prose cuts with the honesty and simplicity of Bukowski and the romantic reliability of Kerouac. Her poetry leads like a woman, walking with fire in the footprints of Steinem—breathing sexual liberation, choice, and overall championing women to their birthright of not only equality but leadership. Robinson notoriously states that her career is to “share slabs of her heart for a living." Her ability to capture the human experience with unrefined sincerity makes her an incredible force in the modern landscape of personal expression. Her loyal following of enthusiasts on social media are there not only for her brutal honesty and lyrical grace but also for her lifestyle, which is a mirror of her devotion to joy and refusal to work to work to work to die. Robinson’s films and art shit on the societal "shoulds" and norms and encourage people to ‘build their own box’. She is an outrageous idealist and master at effortlessly marrying the life she wishes to live with her work, and this enrages and inspires many who believe they are trapped. Robinson’s foray into directing and the multimedia world was in directing a spoken word poetry film in NYC involving 18 women reading the lines from her poem, “This Is For The Women Who Don’t Give a Fuck.” The film was a viral sensation online and was nominated for the 2016 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. Janne is very much so crowning at the beginning of what is and will be a triumphant career, and she has begun so with the hearts of millions indebted and watching as it is rare to stumble upon a woman who makes revolution nature.
