What's up, dudes? Matt Spaulding from North Pole Radio and Vinnie Brezinsky from Huey and Bax join me to talk all about the game show “Hollywood Squares!” It's a full size tic tac toe with celebrities giving zingers and singing songs! In a 1987 episode, it's Scott versus Becky with guest panelists Joan Rivers, Jim J. Bullock, Tracey Gold, Alyssa Milano, and Gary Coleman. The secret square contained a trip to Disney World! Talk about a prize! As it turns out, Scott came out with $150 and a bike, and Becky really made out like a bandit with $300, bikes, and that dope trip to Disney! Get it, girl! The following year in 1988, Tommy and Suzy are contestants. The grid was filled Joan Rivers, Debbie Reynolds, Jim J. Bullock, Tina Yothers, Jason Hervey, and Janice from “The Price is Right!” Debbie Reynolds serenaded us with Rudolph while Tommy raked up the dollars. No one won the secret square, so there was no trip to Hawaii, unfortunately. Tommy wins, but also doesn't get the car. Talk about super random final challenges!Celebrities singing? Yep. Matching red “Hollywood Squares” jackets. For sure! Alyssa Milano looking disinterested and bored? Oh yeah! So choose Xs or Os, call on your favorite TV star, and listen to this episode!Give us a buzz! Send a text, dudes!Check us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Totally Rad Christmas Mall & Arcade, Teepublic.com, or TotallyRadChristmas.com! Later, dudes!

The third and final installment of my exploration of all things Culp. We start in 1980 with The Love Boat and weave our way through The Greatest American Hero, Columbo Goes To College, I Spy Returns, and tons more. Speaking of weaving, we'll also weave in some of my thoughts on Jack Tripper sleeping with a hot MILF, Eddie and the Cruisers, Julie McCullough's saga with both Kirk Cameron and Scott Baio, the creepy Jason Hervey, and The Pigeon Underwear...you had to be there. Enjoy!

We've come to the end of the road for Season 2. Along the way, we've laughed, we've cried, and I've talked too much. It was a blissful journey of movies that became failed TV shows. So, alas, I am saying goodnight and God bless to Season 2...but not before I finish what I started on this damn 9 to 5 fiasco. I'm also gonna educate you on watching ALF in the 21st century, the kinda racist marketing for the show True Colors, Jon Lovitz whooping Andy Dick's ass, the sleazy marriage of Jason Hervey, and the sad fate of Lisa Loring. Don't be sad, friends. Fanacek shall return for Season 3.

We are talking the history of television with my guest this week, Eric Bischoff. Eric has a unique history with television as he was the president of World Championship Wrestling that appeared on TNT and TBS every week. Eric also had a production company with Jason Hervey in which they produced non-scripted television. We talk about television as a whole and its history, plus our own histories with it, and Eric gets detailed about pitching a show. A very fun and informative chat with him. Come have fun with us! Kris & David are joined by Dave Prazak (@DavePrazak) for a Patron-requested show (you can get your own show by going to our Patreon page and following the protocol) to discuss the almost-week that was June 9th-14th, 1991.We start off with the infamous UWF BEACH BRAWL pay-per-view event promoted by Herb Abrams and what a doozy this was. We talk about everything that went wrong both in the ring and out of it; although it's full of wackiness, the in-ring wrestling wasn't nearly as bad as you would've expected. We then go to the WWF, where we talk about the upcoming George Zahorian trial and how that could affect the company as the year went on, as well as TV ratings, house shows, and a WWF CEREAL in the works. On the international scene, we start in Japan, where we talk about a big WWF star wanting to work for All Japan, New Japan running a big show at Budokan Hall, SWS & the WWF running joint shows, and more before going to Mexico, where we discuss Konnan becoming the first ever CMLL World Heavyweight Champion as well as other news and results.Next up is the U.S. indie scene, which is extremely light since we didn't have a Saturday in our week, but we talk about Eric Embry's failure as a booker when it comes to business, Joe Pedicino's GWF being days away from officially landing a TV deal with ESPN, and The National Sports Daily going out of business.WCW closes the show, with the focus being Clash of the Champions XV: Knocksville, USA, where we go over the entire, infamously overstuffed show. We basically rebook the whole thing to keep it from being a complete mess, plus we have cameos from Jason Hervey as well as Pepa & Spinderella from Salt-N-Pepa, to boot. All that and much more in a classic "WCW, everybody!” section that you can't miss.Tremendous show as always with Prazak sitting in with us, so LISTEN NOW!!!!!!!Timestamps:0:00:00 UWF1:38:02 WWF2:03:50 Int'l: AJPW, NJPW, SWS, FMW, Universal, CWA, Grand Prix, CMLL, UWA, Tijuana, & Puerto Rico2:41:23 Classic Commercial Break2:46:27 Halftime3:05:08 Other USA: USWA, GWF, Jesse Ventura, & the end of The National3:35:10 WCW5:25:29 Patreon Preview: Phil Mushnick and WWF spokesman Steve Planamenta do battle in Mike Mooneyham's weekly wrestling columnTo support the show and get access to exclusive rewards like special members-only monthly themed shows, go to our Patreon page at Patreon.com/BetweenTheSheets and become an ongoing Patron. It will be interesting to watch this unfold over the next few weeks. What Movies are in 2021 Countdown to Christmas? “The Goonies”. “Stand By Me”. “Ghostbusters”. “The Little Rascals”. And “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein”. They all share some shred of creative DNA with this bonafide 80's cult classic. So as we kick-start this year's spooky Halloween season, sharpen those wooden stakes you made in shop class, hide the silver bullets in your half-empty pack of cigarettes, and prepare to “Bop Til You Drop” as Tim Williams and guest co-host Gerry D discuss “The Monster Squad” from 1987 on this episode of the 80's Flick Flashback podcast! Here are some additional behind the scenes trivia we were unable to cover in this episode: Jason Hervey wears a Walter Payton shirt in this movie while his onscreen brother from The Wonder Years, Fred Savage, wears a Walter Payton jersey in Princess Bride. Due to licensing issues, the crew had to create characters that were suggestive -- but not exact copies -- of Universal's iconic monsters. "The challenge was to suggest those classic creatures, without really copying them," explained Shane Mahan, "because we didn't have permission or the license to use those specific images. So we could do a 'Gillman', for example, but it couldn't look too much like the Creature from the Black Lagoon. It was frustrating for us at first, because, of course, we wanted to do the original designs! But we couldn't. We could only suggest those designs. So the Frankenstein monster looks a bit like the Karloff creature; but instead of bolts in the neck, he has bolts in the forehead. There was a certain percentage of changes we had to make to get away from any legal copyright infringement.” Sources: Wikipedia, IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Box Office Mojo https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/looking-back-at-the-monster-squad/ https://diaboliquemagazine.com/the-20-year-three-pointer-fred-dekker-talks-the-monster-squad/ https://screenrant.com/monster-squad-behind-scenes-making-facts/ Intro & Outro Music: "Total Eclipse" by Nathaniel Wyver Send us an email or reach out to us on social media to let us know what you liked, what you loved, what we may have missed, or what 80's movie we should discuss next! This week’s show was a real ordeal. We both were suffering through colds, we had an editing SNAFU that mysteriously lost us a chunk of audio, and everything was taking place right in the middle of St. Patrick’s Day insanity. We powered through and got this review of the 05/02/92 WCW SATURDAY NIGHT out there though, because we’re heroes. Along the way we bitch about movie theater etiquette, we bitch about how annoying Jason Hervey is, and we call out all the wrestlers who have been unfairly blackballed from the WWE Hall of Fame. Our apologies to Sid, but the part where we talked him up is what got disappeared. Let’s just move on and pretend this never happened, okay?
Hey there Wonderlings!, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder years Podcast. Prepare yourself and grab your Kleenex box, because the Season 6 Premiere of The Wonder Years S6E1: Homecoming will bring on the tears. It sure did for me. The Wonder Years S6E1: Homecoming Airdate: September 23, 1992 In this episode as Homecoming season approaches at high school, Kevin contends with the local high school rivalries. Meanwhile, Wayne's friend Wart comes back from Vietnam. In this episode we met Kevin's new friend Jeff played by Giovanni Ribisi who opens Kevin's world to what it's like having divorced parents. Kevin also helps steal an owl mascot from a rivalry school, but then ends up setting it free. Poor Wart is the picture of a broken man as our hearts break for him upon his return home as he tries to re adjust to civilian life. I do gotta say Jason Hervey is definitely well defined shirtless. Next week, it's back to shenanigans as the Arnold Men take their tri annual fishing trip in S6E2: Fishing, which aired on September 30, 1992. In this episode The Arnold men embark on their tri-annual three-day fishing trip. While on the trip, it quickly becomes evident that Kevin and Wayne have outgrown the whole camping experience. If you'd like to follow along with the podcast you can do so at: Facebook: Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Facebook Page Instagram: lbomwonderyearspodcast If you enjoy this podcast please visit Itunes and leave a review. Hey there Wonderlings, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. I’m back from vacation and have a new Wonder Years Flashback Episode for you to enjoy! S4E8: The Sixth Man Air Date: November 28, 1990 In this episode when Paul decides to try out for the basketball team, Kevin is convinced that he is just wasting his time. However, when he ends up making the team and his basketball skills improve, it creates a strain in their friendship. I really enjoyed this episode. It was nice to see Paul come out from behind Kevin’s shadow and gain some self confidence. Also for less than 2 minutes we get a nice big brother advice speech from Wayne. Let me just say I was floored, and did not see that coming from Wayne. A nice little nugget of sensitivity acting from Jason Hervey. Join me Friday for S4E10: The Candidate, which aired on January 9, 1991. In this episode With Becky Slater as the only candidate for Student Council President, Paul convinces Kevin to run a campaign against her. With the deadline approaching and way behind, Kevin is tempted to use less-than-honest measures to try and win the election. This is also the last appearance of Crystal McKellar(Danica's sister)who portrays Becky Slater(Kevin's Ex Girlfriend). If you enjoy this podcast, I would love it if you would go to Itunes and leave a Rating and Review. The more reviews this podcast gets the more people will know it's out there. Have a great night!
Happy Friday Wonderlings, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. We finally get a Wayne episode. This is so heartbreaking. In my mind this is Jason Hervey’s Emmy Moment at the end with Jack. We get to see a whole other side of Wayne we didn’t know existed. Not to mention one of the few times he and Dan Lauria have a real scene together just the two of them. They both did great and we get to see Wayne be the wise older brother giving advice to Kevin. In S5E14: Private Butthead which aired on February 5, 1992. In this episode Wayne goes to take his SAT's, but shocks his family when he decides to try and join the army instead. With The Vietnam War still going on, the Arnolds are afraid that Wayne could be shipped off, and into the war. Join me next Friday for S5E15: Of Mastodons and Men which aired on February 12, 1992. In this episode Kevin starts spending most of his time with his new girlfriend, Julie, and her family, no longer allowing him to "hang out with the guys." When she all of a sudden wants him to "go steady", he begins to have second thoughts about their relationship. Have a great weekend everyone!
