Cobra Kai never dies!Discusión 0:00Patrocinador 23:26Noticias 25:01Síguenos en Facebook, Instagram y TikTok y escúchanos en las diferentes plataformas: https://linktr.ee/nerdifymx¡Crea tu podcast hoy! #madeonzencastr. Japan's Top Business Interviews Podcast By Dale Carnegie Training Tokyo, Japan
Previously Johhny was Vice-President and Corporate Officer Softbank Corp (mobile) Entrepreneur AgiTech Company, Trade/Investor Multiple Global Brokers and Hedge Fund. He was educated at the University of California, Berkeley. Summary Here are the key leadership principles and actions to follow, based on JohnnyYoo's insights from his experience at WeWork Japan: Adapt to Crises and Pivot When Needed: Be open to reassessing your career or leadership approach when significant events or crises arise. Adaptability is crucial, and sometimes major shifts can offer new opportunities for growth. Embrace Cultural Sensitivity: Take time to understand the local culture, especially in diverse environments like Japan. Learning even basic aspects of the local language and customs can go a long way in building trust and rapport with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Build Trust Through Transparency and Communication: Prioritize open, honest communication. Be clear and consistent in your messaging to ensure everyone is aligned with the company's vision. Foster transparency through regular interactions, such as town halls or an open-door policy, to address concerns and keep the team informed. Be Decisive, Especially in Times of Uncertainty: When facing crises or organizational challenges, take swift and decisive action. Avoid prolonged uncertainty; even painful decisions, when made quickly, can be better than indecision. Engage Directly with Clients: Build strong, personal relationships with your customers. Engage with them directly to understand their needs and foster trust. Small gestures, like remembering names or addressing cultural preferences, can make a significant impact on these relationships. Foster Inclusivity and Innovation: Create an inclusive environment where ideas are welcomed from all levels of the organization. Encourage team members to contribute, and use their ideas to drive innovation and momentum, particularly in challenging times. Cultivate Resilience and Optimism: Lead with a mindset of perseverance, following the principle of “fall down seven times, get up eight.” View setbacks as opportunities for growth and motivate your team to stay focused and positive even during tough periods. Maintain Simplicity in Your Leadership Approach: Keep communication clear and straightforward. Avoid overcomplicating messages or processes, as simplicity can enhance understanding and execution. Balance Local and Global Expectations: When leading in a foreign market, balance corporate goals with the cultural realities of the local environment. Take the time to understand local practices and adapt your approach accordingly, avoiding over-reliance on intermediaries or expecting immediate results. Respect and Understand the Local Business Environment: Gain a deep understanding of the economic and cultural landscape in the regions where you operate. This includes the unique challenges of industries like real estate in Japan, and recognizing the importance of strategic partnerships to navigate these complexities. By applying these principles, you can become a more effective leader who fosters trust, innovation, and resilience while adapting to the local business and cultural context.

Why is American bread like that? Why did we swoon of "Old Fashioned Bread" during the pandemic? What happened so that our bread is these nice neat rectangular loaves with close textured middles and soft crust perfect for sandwiches - while so much of the rest of bread world is more interesting? The answers - surprisingly enought lie in the start of the 19th century when the New Americans got itchy feet and started to head Out West. Not that it's surprising - but such activities were not conducive to cultivating yeast and baking the slow rise, freeform breads of the community bake oven. That took time, and skill and babued yeast.Instead, on the move, in a hurry, and going it alone, the quick bread, the Johhny cake, the pancake and the biscuit were all more practical (if not basically the same darn thing.)This isn't the entire reason American Bread is like "that", but it's about half of it. Come along, and hear the roots of some American habits and lore.Music Credit: Fingerlympics by Doctor TurtleShow Notes: https://thehistoryofamericanfood.blogspot.com/Email: TheHistoryofAmericanFood at gmail dot com Threads: @THoAFoodInstagram: @THoAFood& some other socials... @THoAFood

No estoy allí. Olvido quien soy e intento interpretarme.

Johhny and crew, I've never been good asking for help, but I really need support with getting freedom back in my life for wheel-chair lift for the truck. I have been fighting Parkinson's Disease for 6 years now, and 5 back surgeries. Luckily the company I work for has accommodated me with working from home. BUT home has been my life for over a year now. I fought BCBS Insurance for over 6 months to just get my powered wheelchair covered. The problem is my BCBS insurance company does not cover any type of lifts for vehicles. I have priced lifts all over KC, the best price I found was at Mobility Plus Platte County and they are still out of my price range. The cost for just the lift is $3500 (trading in an old chair). It must be a special size lift to handle the weight of the chair. Model is AL425HD that handles the weight, I can't use a hitch style. Story: I have giving up everything in my life, I just can't even get out of the house now. I take 56 pills each day, yes 56, I can't afford a lift. Not sure how much more life can throw at me. Then 5 major back surgeries and then Parkinson's. Guys, I need help to gain some freedom again, any help please. I even tried looking at used but the few I tried did not fit or needed to many parts replaced to use. Love you guys, please see if you can help. Hi Team. Over the last two weeks, lots of people have spoken to me about Johhny and more than a few have asked about re-sharing his TYP episode as a kind-of tribute. To be honest, I wasn't really sold on the idea because I didn't want to seem disrespectful or inappropriate in any way. So as always, I did some self-examination and considered my intention. And that was to once again share with you a beautiful, funny, courageous and brilliant young man who made ten lifetimes of impact, in his one brief stint here on Planet Earth. So enjoy our all-time most cheeky guest. Love and hugs to you all. Craig. xxSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Each story of the Bailey years started with a phone call from an insurance executive, calling on Johnny to investigate an unusual claim. Each story required Johnny to travel to some distant locale, usually within the United States but sometimes abroad, where he was almost always threatened with personal danger in the course of his investigations. Johnny's file on each case was usually referenced as a "matter," as in "The Silver Blue Matter" or "The Forbes Matter". Later episodes were more fanciful, with titles like "The Wayward Trout Matter" and "The Price of Fame Matter" (the latter featuring a rare guest-star appearance by Vincent Price as himself). Johnny usually stuck to business, but would sometimes engage in romantic dalliances with women he encountered in his travels; later episodes gave Johnny a steady girlfriend, Betty Lewis. Johnny's precious recreational time was usually spent fishing, and it was not uncommon for Johnny's clients to exploit this favorite pastime in convincing him to take on a job near good fishing locations. His past was rarely mentioned, but Dollar in one episode described himself as a four-year US Marine veteran who then worked as a police officer for a decade before changing careers to insurance investigation. Each story was recounted in flashback, as Johnny listed each line item from his expense account. The episodes generally finished with Johnny tallying up his account and traveling back to Hwartford, CT, where he was based. Most of the expense account related to transportation, lodging, and meals and served to transition between scenes, but no incidental expense was too small for Johnny to itemize, as in "Item nine, 10 cents. Aspirin. I needed them." YOUR REVIEWS AT APPLE/ITUNES ARE NEEDED AND APPRECIATED! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

I've gotten to chat with Brrrn co-founders Johnny Adamic and Jimmy Martin a few times since meeting them in 2018. I'd like to remind you that 2018 was a time before the proliferation of zoom, so our first interview was conducted via freeconferencecall.com. I remember vividly chatting with the pair in 2018. They were equal parts entertaining and excited about a super-specific niche in fitness (cold temperature training). I have a memory of the thought, “it's a shame that I'm the only one listening to this recording” as I wrote the article for aSweatLife.com.Call this take two. I genuinely like these guys. I looked forward to this interview for the past couple of days because I knew it would be a really good time. And I really like every person who comes onto the podcast, but some people make me nervous in a way that Jimmy and Johnny do not. They're a mix of charming, smart and funny that you know endears people to them. And I think that is the essence of the brand they've created. Charming, welcoming and smart. You'll hear them talk about it on the episode, but they're an insanely perfect match for where the world went after they opened their studio in the heart of New York City. Jimmy worked with SNL and studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade - or UCB as it's called in the biz - and cut his teeth on production before the world shut down. He also has that improv-er ability to problem solve through the “yes, and.” They both have it, actually, you'll hear Johnny say, “To yes, and that, Jimmy …”And Johnny studied public health in New York City and worked for Mayor Bloomberg. He can and will throw science at you in an approachable way. So together, they chose to create cold training spaces when the rest of the world was only counting workouts that got them as hot and sweaty as humanly possible. And it was there that they fell in love with training on a slide board and there that they started manifesting their future partner and investor, Apolo Ohno.So when the pandemic hit, I don't want to undervalue the stress they went through, but they accepted it, and built on what was in front of them. They “yes, and” ed the pandemic and build an ecommerce business after finding a US-based partner to manufacture an at-home version of the slide board. And there's a lot to love about Brrrn besides the guys who created it, including their growing list of studios and gyms where you can find their programming as well as certifications for trainers to get Continuing education Credits. We hardly even scratched the surface.Resources:Learn more about training at home with BrrrnSee the Brrrn Board in action (youTube video)Follow @brrrn on InstagramFollow @JohnnyAdamic on InstagramFollow @JimmyTMartin (the quadfather) on InstagramThe first time Jimmy and Johhny were on aSweatLifeA brief introduction to Lateral training by Shape.comThe Study on Cold plunges they reference by Huberman Find the Brrrn Bundle on our Move Holiday Gift GuideJust for fun: The movie we talk about - Nobody, starring Bob OdenkirkJust for fun: the actress I adoringly talk about, D'Arcy Carden

On the show today… It looks like the lineup for the new Australia reality series The Challenge has been leaked online and it includes a lot of notorious local stars. Here's everything you need to know about the buzzy new show. Plus The Block host Scott Cam has doubled down on his accusations against influencer and business owner Elle Ferguson and her fiance, Joel Patfull, who abruptly left this season of the show just a few days into filming. The show's comments about the couple are laced with sexism but it appears that the premiere will contain some juicy footage. And two months after a jury ruled in favor of Johnny Depp in his defamation case against Amber Heard, a damming series of court documents have been unsealed revealing evidence that was ruled “inadmissible” during the highly publicized trial but particularly paint Johhny in a bad light. On the show today.... Sadly, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have announced the loss of their pregnancy, with Britney sharing the news via a statement to her Instagram account. And nominations for the 2022 TV Week Logie Awards have been revealed, after COVID-19, unfortunately, shut the awards down for the past two years. This year some brand new categories have been added to the mix and the Gold Logie race is already stirring up a new set of controversies. Plus, the defamation case brought by Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard continues this week with more celebrity voices than ever before throwing their support behind Johhny. Chris Rock in particular has made some truly disturbing comments about Amber during his latest show and it's got us thinking that no matter how the trial ends, we already know what's in store for Johnny Depp. THE END BITS Subscribe to Mamamia GET IN TOUCH: Join us in our Facebook group to discuss everything pop culture... https://www.facebook.com/groups/2524018781153963/ Feedback? Today we are talking about the close of Johnny's case in chief & the testimony of his final handful of witnesses. We start of with Travis McGivern, the final bodyguard of Johnnys to testify for her. He has some very interesting personal experience with Amber's violence towards Johnny. Up next is Johnny's agent, Jack Whigham. He tells us all about the monetary damages Johnny has suffered as a result of the OpEd. We are talking Pirates 6 and 20 million bucks. Then we hear from an expert on damages for Johnny - Richard Marks - I'll call him Mr. Hollywood. He named dropped about 50 celebs in first 10 mins and I'd love to have a drink with this dude & hear more Hollywood stories because it sounds like he's got a whole lot after 50 years in the biz. Another expert on damages for Johnny - Doug Bania - he's an intellectual property valuation, licensing & damages expert. Well at least he was because I'm not sure he will be after his performance on the stand. Then we have the testimony of Amber Heard's former private nurse - Erin Faleti. She had a lot of fucking tea and you'll want to hear about that. Johnnys last witness to testify in his case in chief was another expert on damages - Michael Spindler - this guy is a forensic accountant. He talked about how much Johnny lost as a result of the OpEd and was a good witness for JD. Lots of math going on here guys. Not my forte so please check the IG page for the slides he used to explain it to the jury. We are done with Johnnys case in chief guys. It's been a wild ride and we're only halfway done so hold onto your butts for Amber's case presentation which starts tomorrow. Shoutout to all the wonderful people who have sent me questions about the case and to all those who have supported the show. You guys rock. If you have anything to add or ask please check out the show on social media and if you're enjoying the show please rate it and if you a minute write a little love note for me in the review section. We've seen alternatives to meat and dairy products on the market for some time now, and the embracing of plant-based meat alternatives have sky-rocketed in the past few years, it is inevitable that this combination of culinary skills and scientific knowledge will play out across the food and drink space. WNWN Food Labs is just one of many new and exciting brands trying to carve out a space in this growing market with their first product, a zero-cacao chocolate bar, created from alternative plant-based ingredients. They are part of a small but growing movement called “alt-choc”. Joining WGSN CEO Carla Buzasi is Dr Johnny Drain, founder of WNWN food labs, and WGSN's Head of Food and Drink Jen Creevy to discuss consumers' growing awareness of the ethics of our food supply chains, the power of fermentation in the latest plant based foods and what products WNWN could be planning next.
