No strangers to Delayed, our premiere for today comes in the shape of a groovy number from Yard One aka Jordan Bruce and Larry Jones. Throughout the years we've seen and heard them create wonderful narratives through ambient, field recording driven sketches, all the way through downtempo and into the beat driven realm. One Day falls squarely in the latter as the tune unfurls and evolves expertly over its 10 minute duration. Warm kicks and an enveloping bass line provide a strong foundation throughout for the light chimes and synths to bring an almost wind-like movement of musicality that plays well off the percussion. One Day is joined by a remix from Hong Kong based producer, Ocean Lam and two other originals, ‘Twinkle Tones' and ‘Dirt Tool' to round out the release. Which will be released on Tact Recordings the 2nd of February. In this week's episode of We Love Outdoors with Rich Davenport, your humble host reports that spring is here, clocks have now been set to reflect Daylight Savings Time, and the ice season is winding down, although old man winter isn't done with surprises just yet. Coyote season closes March 26, 2022, while all other small game and fur bearer seasons closed Feb 28. NYSCC is holding their Spring meeting at SUNY Cobbleskill on April 9, 2022 from 9AM-4PM, and will be a hybrid format. Committee chairs are advised to hold their committee meetings prior to this day, as no time will be available for the individual committee meetings. The first annual Golf Outing information has also been released by NYSCC, which will be July 11, 2022 at Seneca Falls Country Club. $500 per foursome, with a limit of 20 foresomes, which includes greens fees, carts, beverages and a late lunch and awards. Registration starts 10AM, shotgun start at 11AM, lunch 4:30PM. Sponsorship levels are available, and deadline to register for the outing is July 1. Meanwhile, in Vermont, wildlife officials are working to reduce moose numbers due to tick infestations and how ticks easily winter in large numbers on moose. Looking to add another 100 tags to the mix. And in North Carolina, the return of bear hunting in three bear sanctuaries, as populations are rising, as are conflicts. The ice is still nice, but not for much longer. Winners of the first Chautauqua Lake Ice Derby were awarded their winnings on March 12, with the big winner, also receiving a free walleye charter on Lake Erie from Mostly Muskies Charters. Thank you to Mike Sperry of Chautauqua Reel Outdoors for his tremendous partnership in this event, and to Capt. Larry Jones for donating the charter. Next years' event will be much bigger, and as Angler Tom Cermak remarked, "If you ice fish Chautauqua Lake, you'd be crazy not to enter. With 6 categories, all it takes is one drop of the line and you could win something. It isn't just about walleye!" We are still waiting for the fishing regs to be codified, and should hear something any day now. And the record breaking trend continues as a new Hickory Shad record has been set in Georgia, breaking the old record set last year from the same river. With Spring in the air, bears are moving about - so be bear smart and keep the food away. Spring also means migratory birds are returning, and DEC announced the opening of the Long Island portion of the NYS Birding Trail. NYS DEC also announced the transfer of 34 miles of old rail beds from DOT has been finalized between Tupper Lake and Lake Placid, which marks the start of design and construction of this Tupper Lake to Lake Placid to Sanarac Lake trail corridor for hikers, bikers and snowmobilers. Finally, the renewable green energy fairy tale, something adults should know better than to believe, got another release when Jeckyl and Hyde Basil Seggos and his cadre of zealots released their disadvantaged communities criteria for Climate Justice, and all that is missing is Once Upon a Time. Yet none of what they claim will come to pass, and what is important is what they don't tell you, the truth about electrical energy distribution and delivery. Their climate justice is nothing more than a massive redistribution of wealth, proving the green scheme is only to achieve communism in the name of saving the planet. We're glad to welcome Tryst back to the Tronic family after the great success of their first EP ‘ISSHO', this time with another stunning five-track EP called ‘Aerious'. The record was composed by bouncing ideas back and forth from Den Haag to Manchester by composers Jordan and Enhua Bruce and Larry Jones. The project and overall aesthetic is designed as a means of escape, to transport one to a more tranquil setting. To be enjoyed in the sunshine with some ice cold beverages, or late at night next to a fireplace with a bottle of wine. Each track is sonically compiled with a place in mind, taking inspiration from long drives along coastal lands and meditative moments on the beach to hidden pathways in cities, blooming botanical gardens and long jaunts through mountains. For our third service, Pastor Larry Jones from New Salem Baptist preached a powerful word about celebration. We have reason to celebrate because our victory in Jesus is assured. Everything that was designed against us has failed. Our air, water, and food is all contaminated and yet, we survive. We have survived ourselves: our mistakes, our bad choices, and our personal weaknesses. So much of our trouble is self-inflicted. We spend time trying to cover up our sins. Yet, God is working for our victory. If you are committed to living in victory, you have reason to celebrate.

After their debut EP 'Issho,' from a few years ago, Den Haag/Manchester-based project Tryst is back to Apparel Tronic with a beautiful 'Aerious' EP. Masterminds behind Tryst, Jordan and Enhua Bruce and Larry Jones created a wonderful record for tranquil and laid back settings. Something to be enjoyed in the sunshine with some ice-cold beverages or late at night next to a fireplace with a bottle of wine. Each track is sonically compiled with a place in mind, taking inspiration from long drives along coastal lands and meditative moments on the beach to hidden pathways in cities, blooming botanical gardens, and long jaunts through mountains. Our premiere for today, 'Alcove,' is definitely the track created with a long drive in mind. It's groovy and driving and, as such, the track that will represent this release on dance floors worldwide. 'Alcove' would be an ideal soundtrack for a ride in a convertible along the French Riviera or Californian coast during the sunset. 'Aerious' EP is coming out on June 25th. In our third service, Pastor Larry Jones from New Salem Baptist brought a word about taking up the shield of faith in our personal walk with Jesus. To begin, Pastor Larry shared how a spoon placed into a glass of water will appear bent and distorted, although we know it is not. Oftentimes, things in our world that are crooked appear to be straight. We want to be a people who know truth and, like a soldier or a baseball player with a weapon or a glove, intentionally pick up the shield of faith daily.

We know very little about Obadiah. As a matter of fact, Obadiah may not have even been his name. Obadiah means, “worshiper of Yahweh.” Whether Obadiah is his real name or not, what we do know is he was a prophet living in the 6th century who witnessed the destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon. The southern kingdom Judah was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BCE, and all the Judeans were sent into exile. Where did all these people go? Edom. Obadiah’s prophecies speak directly to Edom while the Judeans are in exile.

The newest installment in our ongoing series on 50-point games takes us to the late 60s and early 70s, a transformative period in NBA history and for 50-point games. Wilt Chamberlain’s scoring fades away, Jerry West bows out and new stars like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Rick Barry emerge. A new upstart pro basketball league (ABA) joins the fray and their inclusion of a 3-point line makes 50-point games easier than ever. During this period, the 50+ point club becomes less exclusive. Up to this point (1949-66), we’ve only had 18 players with 50+ in a game (169 times—116 by Wilt Chamberlain). All of the previous 50+ scorers were eventual Hall of Famers with the lone exception of 5-time All-Star Rudy LaRusso. In this time period though, we’ll have 35 new members of the club with only 21 of them eventually making it to the Hall of Fame. Overall from 1967-1974, we’ll see 84 50-point games overall with Barry leading the charge at 17, Kareem chipping in eight and Wilt still putting up 7 including a heroic final 50+ point game. From 1967-74, 1.06% of games featured a 50+ point game. In this episode we’ll spotlight some of the new scorers to emerge in this era including Larry Jones, Willie Reed, Louie Dampier, Elvin Hayes, Darel Carrier, Connie Hawkins, Mel Daniels, Lou Hudson, Billy Cunningham, Spencer Haywood, Roger Brown, John Brisk, Joe Caldwell, Walt Wesley, Dave Bing, Stew Johnson, Dan Issel, Steve “Snapper” Jones, Charlie Scott, Pete Maravich, Chet Walker, Zelmo Beaty, Tiny Archibald, Willie Wise, Larry Miller, Julius “Dr. J” Erving, George McGinnis, Phil Chenier, Geoff Petrie and John Havlicek.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The failure of democracy during the Weimar Republic is currently at the center of public discussion due to the global populist wave of the last few years. In his new book, Hitler versus Hindenburg: The 1932 Presidential Elections and the End of the Weimar Republic (Cambridge University Press, 2016), Larry Eugene Jones examines how the republic's final presidential election contributed to its dissolution. He synthesizes evidence from a vast number of German archives as well as a career spent as an internationally recognized specialist of Weimar political history. Assessing both Hitler, Hindenburg, and other prominent figures from the era, such as Heinrich Brüning and Alfred Hugenberg, Jones illustrates the fragmentation of the non-Nazi right wing and the triumph of personal charisma over issue-based politics in 1930s Germany. Jones's new book is essential for anyone interested in Germany's transformation from democracy to dictatorship. Larry Jones recently retired as Professor of History at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. Michael E. It happened in 2008, minutes after the filly had placed in the Kentucky Derby; she collapsed on the track after both her ankles broke. In television coverage from the race, cameras zoomed in on veterinarian Dr. Larry Bramlage. “They immediately euthanized her because there was no possible way to save her," Bramlage said after the race. “But I’ll tell you,” said Blowen, “Nobody loved Eight Belles more than her trainer, Larry Jones. I was on the backside of Churchill Downs every morning that week, and he had that horse out grazing every day. He adored her, and no one was more broken up about what happened to Eight Belles.” And Blowen himself loves horses, especially racehorses. Old Friends is an expansive farm outside Georgetown — the kind with wide pastures and volunteers who hand-feed carrots to retired racehorses. Every morning Blowen visits 1997 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Silver Charm, yelling across the field, “Who’s the greatest horse in the world?” He acknowledges that the entire industry hasn’t always taken all the precautions it could have to keep the horses safe — though things are getting better. Very limited schedule across the country on this, the Sunday before Thanksgiving here in the United States, but the five Division I duals we saw all involved ranked teams. The question is, where do we start? We had two top 10 duals … ah, let’s start with the upset. And by upset, we mean No. 10 Lehigh pasting No. 4 Michigan at Grace Hall in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 27-8. On paper, people believed this Michigan team could make a run at the NCAA title. I even mentioned to Richard Immel on Bonus Points on Friday that Michigan could take some dual losses and still come out as a threat. On Sunday, Lehigh wasn’t impressed by the credentials, the hype or the ranking as Pat Santoro’s 10th-ranked Mountain Hawks scored sizable wins from Ian Brown at 157, Jordan Kutler at 174 and Ryan “The Preisch is Right” at 184. At this rate, it’s doubtful anyone’s going to drop a weight, especially Preisch, who topped Domenic Abounader 3-1 at 184 and Kutler, who topped All-American Alec Pantaleo at 157. Scotty Parker using that RP Norley Pennridge strength registered another fall, although it was over Michigan backup Michael Volyanyuk. In Stillwater, we were expecting a tight dual with third-ranked Oklahoma State and sixth-ranked Minnesota. A bunch of matches were tight, but the dual score wasn’t. The Cowboys gave coach John Smith his 400th career dual victory with a 30-3 beatdown of the Golden Gophers. The Cowboys won five matches decided by two points or less. Minnesota’s lone bright spot came at 125 where returning NCAA finalist Ethan Lizak rallied to beat Nick Piccininni 10-9. Piccininni built an 8-1 lead at the end of the first period before Lizak chose top and scored six nearfall points in two different sequences. In the third, Piccininni chose neutral and gave up the go-ahead takedown. A riding time point would be the final difference maker. The rest of the dual -- uffda. Kaid Brock scored four takedowns to beat Mitch McKee 9-7 in a bout that wasn’t as close as the score indicated. Dean Heil needed a third-period takedown to do Dean Heil types of things and beat Tommy Thorn 3-1. No. 9 Virginia Tech looked strong to quite strong in a maroon battle against Central Michigan. The Hokies won eight out of 10 and too both head-to-head ranked matchups to earn the win in Cassell Coliseum. At 149, Solomon Chishko topped Justin Oliver 3-1 in a matchup of past All-Americans while Zack Zavatsky topped Jordan Ellingwood 7-4 at 184. For the second straight time, B.C. “The Headache Powder” LaPrade makes the show. He upset Collin Heffernan 3-1 in sudden victory. Being a Poquoson grad, I can’t give the New Kent guy TOO much pub. Arizona State took center stage, LITERALLY, as the Sun Devils hosted a theater-style dual against No. 25 Pittsburgh. The end result was more tragedy for the Panthers than it was comedy as the Sun Devils won eight of 10 bouts to cruise to a 32-6 win. Coach Zeke “My real name is Larry” Jones saw his team win both of the notable matches as Josh Shields beat Taleb Rahmani at 157 and Tanner Hall beat Ryan Solomon in one of those thrilling escape-riding time 2-0 wins. No. 13 Northern Iowa rebounded from Friday’s loss to win its first Big 12 dual with a 21-19 win over North Dakota State in Cedar Falls. At 141, Josh Alber scored the match-winning individual victory with a technical fall in the final match of the dual. Penn State crowned seven champs at the Keystone Classic at The Palestra hosted by Penn (singular). Zain Retherford won his 100th career bout during the course of the event, while Jason Nolf pinned his way through at 157 pounds. Bo Nickal scored three falls and a tech en route to the title at 184. Other Penn State champs were Jered Cortez at 141, Anthony Cassar at 197, Nick Nevills at heavyweight and Mark Hall at 174, who went fall, fall, tech tech, fall. Kinda like that whole duck-duck-grey duck thing they do out here. I still think it’s duck-duck-goose. Cornell won the New York State Intercollegiate championships, there wasn’t a whole lot of comp to challenge the Big Red this year. Lock Haven won four titles at the Black Knight Invitational at Army West Point -- yes, you kind of have to say the whole “Army West Point” thing now. Something about branding. The Bald Eagles got golds form Kyle Shoop-Shoop-ay-Doop, Chance Marsteller and a pair of Solanco Mules -- Ronnie Perry and Thomas Haines. Lancaster-Lebanon League representing the 717 there. NC State won five titles at the Wolfpack open. Yup. They hosted. Wisconsin won five titles out west at the Roadrunner Open hosted by CSU Bakersfield. Top win there was probably Ricky Robertson’s 3-1 overtime win over Emery Parker of Illinois. In Division III, John Carroll swept the John Carroll duals, earning wins over Case Western Reserve, Penn State Behrend, Lycoming, Alfred State and Lourdes. Gettysburg won three matches at the Green Terror Duals in Westminster, Maryland. Yes, the Green Terror is the nickname of McDaniel College, formerly known as Western Maryland. Coach Andy Vogel’s Bullets topped Division II Alderson-Broaddus 30-14, Penn State-Mont Alto 57-0 and Scranton 27-15. Gettysburg 133-pounder Louie Carusillo picked up the Dundie Award for fastest fall in the dual against Scranton. The only one I stuck with was the Berlin Walleye. I’m actually losing to a bunch of other podcast nerds in one league. I’m like 0-10. But I’m in the running in my league with a bunch of former colleagues from the paper, some of whom are NFL beatwriters. Podcasters know more about fantasy football than sportswriters. That’s today’s lesson. The Short Time Time Wrestling Podcast is proudly supported by Compound Clothing. And if you haven't already, leave a rating and a review on iTunes. It all started with a beat that inspired him to pick up the mic and express himself, and the rest as they say was history.  J Hyfe A.K.A. Leche was raised in Portland Oregon, but was born in Nigeria. He was raised in a single parent home, the youngest of all of his siblings.  The love of music wasn't coincidental, he loved beats and he knew what to do with them.  His freshmen year he moved to Chesapeake, Virginia.  This opportunity afforded him a chance to spend a lot of time with his older brother “Chin,” who already was involved with the underground music scene.  His brother had Fruity Loops Studio 8 on his computer, which he didn't take the time to figure out so J Hyfe tried his luck with it. Quickly teaching himself how to utilize the program. J Hyfe needed a stage name, so Larry Jones and him sat down one night and came up with one. He was a hyper young man, and coming from the west-coast Chin said, “Hyphy” which ended up “Hyfe.” The name Hyfe couldn't stand alone so the “J” was added in honor of his late grandfather James, which is also his middle name. J Hyfe was able to teach himself to produce beats, engineer music, shoot music videos, edit videos, as well as social media marketing tools that has helped him in life and in business. J Hyfe uses his past hardship as the drive and motivational force behind his relentless efforts to make life easier for him and his family.  He has embarked on a journey with Relentless Hustler Entertainment, Inc. which will help put him in position to succeed.  He is a Relentless Hustler and now it's time to make a mark in this industry.  J Hyfe plans on keeping God first on all his decisions, a faith instilled in him at a young age by his mother. Stay tuned in to see what J Hyfe does next in his rising music career.
