Have you had an experience where falsehood was introduced as a beautiful truth? In this weekly inspiration, I will talk about discernment, living from the heart and watching out for the corruption of "quick fixes" when our unhealed selves demand an immediate solution and easily fall for appearances. One of the inspirations for this podcast is the recent 3-part Netflix series, "Escaping Twin Flames," which I highly recommend!

Your heart, is it good or bad? Can you trust it or not? Do we follow our heart or lead it? The answer to all of these questions is, well, “Yes!' The human heart is a complex thing. The muscle in your chest cavity is, yes, but even more so, is the core of your being, the very spirit of life within you, your most central part of your being, your heart. To get to truly know yourself, what you want, where you want to head, it can lead you to very uncomfortable and unsettling positions at first, but Emma always held space and made time for me. I always felt very comfortable talking and opening to her. I never felt judged – which was one of my biggest fears –nor rushed to take action – another point that I value a lot.-Elise Palmeri, Project ManagerTo me, heart-led is both about being of service to others, contributing to their lives and being of service to ourselves. I've been in many group coaching containers, and whilst in their own right they provided me a space to learn many tools that have brought me to where I am right now, the one thing I felt was missing was the intimacy, was the space to be truly heard and supported for our individual, unique gifts, rather than fitting into a certain framework. I'm Emma, a Thought Partner, Author, and so much more. For a long time, I made the work I do 'wrong' because I wasn't your traditional coach (click here to explore my work in one of my free meditations). I tried on many shoes that didn't fit. I've come to realise that what I can offer you is something different that, if I'm honest, I still find difficult to put into words. My work is something that you come to understand through experience. This is my third time running this community, and I wanted to create this offering again because I've seen how powerful it is when you open a space for people to be truly heard and seen. There are no requirements to join this container, you don't need to have your s**t together (because I definitely don't), be earning a certain amount of money, or have a certain profession. The invitation is for individuals who want to live their life and contribute to the lives of others from the heart. This invitation is for you if you'd like to be part of a community that supports and uplifts you in all that you are. Your challenges are welcome here without judgement, your celebrations are welcome here without envy (clearly I was hungry whilst recording this

In the last devotional of this series on God's pursuit of our hearts, we're wrapping it all up by looking at what it means to live from the heart. There are so many places to live from, so many different ways to go about a day. But God, in his power and love, wants to free us to live from the heart, to share with the world who we truly are, and how he is fully meeting with us. May God use our time today to empower us to advance his kingdom in meaningful, authentic ways. Our Scripture for today comes from Psalm 62:8, and today's worship is Heart Like Heaven by Hillsong United. -- Thank you for listening to today's podcast. As we usher in February, many will begin to focus on the heart, on love. As you may have heard me say, love is an experience that is meant to drive us forward and help increase our overall well-being. What's below that experience is living a heart-centered life. So, what is a heart-centered life? It's a life where we live our daily experiences in true alignment with our values, purpose, inner morality, personal experiences, intuition, and connecting with everything that works for us. Doing so requires that we understand some basic principles. That's why I sat down with Cardiologist and Heart-Centered Living Expert Dr. Madalina Petrescu to help us understand how to live through the heart-center, how to get into coherence, and why we must allow intuitive directives to guide us; we even chat about overall health that impacts the heart, and end with the connections each of us needs to live a healthy, grounded, spiritually connected life. This is a powerful conversation filled with tools and ways to create a beautiful heart-centered life. So, let's dive right in. Key Takeaways: 00:00 Introduction 02:25 Dr. Madalina Petrescu's why and the heart's signals 08:29 How to live a heart-center life 11:59 Identifying with your heart and listening with the heart 17:40 The heart tells the truth; your heart is the guidance 19:10 Coherence and how to get there 25:16 How you are hijacked by yourself and the experiences you have 27:14 Get into a place to check in and get into your feelings 30:51 Giving ourselves permission to live heart-centered 33:23 A challenge for practicing this experience 35: 36 A cardiologist's take on the heart and body diseases she sees 44:52 Dr Madalina's checklist 51:00 Be in the moments of choice and take heart-aligned action 55:05 Dr. Madalina's three If you want to learn about Dr. Madalina, you can connect with her on her website at www.heartq.com. What does it mean to live from the heart rather than the head? As we clear away the residue of past conditioning, traumas, desires, and resistance, it becomes increasingly possible to embrace and even love those aspects of our existence that we might otherwise avoid. And in doing so, we unlock the secret to experiencing a love we may have sought for a lifetime, and indeed one more powerful than we imagined possible.
The heart is the center of our energetic system. It is the doorway to our more intuitive centers. Cultivating a juicy heart space sends a message to our entire body-mind-energy system.
I'm talking with Ulrika Sullivan a former scientist turned intuitive spiritual life coach, yoga teacher, and energy healer. This is a special conversation you will see, also a very deep one. In essence we are talking about how to let go of mental clutter. Ulrika wrote a book called "Widsom Beyond What You Know", and here is a quote from the book: Instead of being driven by what I can tangibly accomplish, what others think of me, or what others say is the right way to succeed, my inner voice of guidance provides a steady flow of gentle nudges, inner calm, and self-love—all of it within an unbreakable invisible shield of protection around me.So here is what we are talking about: how most of us are living a template instead of our authentic selfhow we know when we act from the mind not from the hearthow we can recognize the signs that guide us to the next right thing to doshe shares with us a simple and easy practice we can do to get in touch with our intuition and our heartwhat to do if you are scared to hear what your heart has to sayand how our heart, intuition and inner knowing will protect us if we let itUlrika says she was driven by the mind (where chaos often starts) but is now living from the heart and intuition (where peace starts). Can you imagine a better guest for this podcast that is called from chaos to peace? Show Notes: Jake and Brett welcome Bishop Scott McCaig, CC back onto the podcast to revisit a quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church that addresses the way of the heart. They each share reflections on the heart as a place of authenticity, decision and encounter. The Catechism describes the heart as “the dwelling-place of where I am.” If we want to live in full freedom, we must understand our own hearts. This episode is a great place to start. Guiding Quote: The heart is the dwelling-place where I am, where I live; according to the Semitic or Biblical expression, the heart is the place "to which I withdraw." The heart is our hidden center, beyond the grasp of our reason and of others; only the Spirit of God can fathom the human heart and know it fully. The heart is the place of decision, deeper than our psychic drives. It is the place of truth, where we choose life or death. It is the place of encounter, because as image of God we live in relation: it is the place of covenant. - CCC 2563 Key Points Brett, Jake and Bishop Scott share initial thoughts about the quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church Three qualities that mean living from the heart authentically: sincerity, presence and intentionality. We live three lives: the public life, private life and hidden life of the heart We must prioritize the hidden life The power of decisions and how past decisions have formed us and future decisions can lead us Identifying personal values of the heart allows us to make good decisions How virtue sets us free to be who we are meant to be How right orientation to God as the centre of all things makes us inherently vulnerable Discussion Questions What stood out to you in this episode? What are some of the personal values you strive to live out of? Which area of your life is it most difficult to live as your authentic self: the public, private or hidden life of the heart?
