Nintendos Würfel feiert in diesen Wochen seinen 20.
In this episode of The Unrestricted Podcast, host Ish Barri welcomes Dr. Esther Odama, a psychologist with a rich educational background and a passion for powerlifting. Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Odama immigrated to the United States at a young age and pursued her education at the University of Texas (UT), where she earned a Bachelor of Science, a Master's in Psychology, and a PhD in Psychology. Currently, she is working on an additional Master's degree to expand her therapeutic practice. Dr. Odama's journey into powerlifting began after her initial love for basketball and her experiences with various sports throughout her life. Although she was hesitant at first, she eventually embraced powerlifting after being encouraged by her coaches. She has been actively involved in the sport since moving to Houston, where she found a supportive community at her first gym, the Warehouse Gym. Dr. Odama's dedication to powerlifting is evident in her achievements, including setting a state record with a squat of 413.64 pounds. Her commitment to fitness and strength training is not only a personal passion but also a reflection of her belief in the importance of perseverance and self-discovery through physical challenges. ✅Best ways to help support The Unrestricted Podcast! ✔️PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/barrimedia ✔️Patreon: https://patreon.com/theunrestrictedpodcast ✔️Merch: https://tiny.cc/unrestrictedstore To reach the Unrestricted team you can email: Barri.MediaTexas@gmail.com ✅FOLLOW THE UNRESTRICTED PODCAST ✔️INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/unrestricted_podcast ✔️TWITTER: https://www.twitter.com/podunrestricted ✔️WEBSITE: https://www.theunrestrictedpodcast.com ✔️YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/theunrestrictedpodcast ✔️FACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61557178401899 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/unrestrictedpodcast/support

Flightsy — Yesterday at 10:30 AM Community Couch question to go with my Spot the Fake list: Have you ever played any fan games or ROM hacks? I have fond memories of playing Mario fan games on the computer at school, right along with Cool-Math Games. There were some super good ones, like Super Mario 63, but most were really bad. A lot of them used the Super Mario All-Star sprites (the ones used for SMB and Lost Levels), which I believe has actually ruined the art style for me! However, those were just browser games. I haven't really played many ROM Hacks, but looking at them they seem really cool. Outro Thanks for listening to the RetroLogic Podcast! We are proudly part of the Nintendo Dads family of podcasts. To put it another way; what are the really great game you can get now on the cheap? From my price is retro lists I’d have to say everyone should get a copy of NHL94 because it is the best hockey game all time and it is very affordable. Third Strongest Mole (Sam) Plok is certainly a contender. And if we're talking gamecube: Odama. For N64, I'd pick Rogue Squadron. It's currently $9.39 for the player's choice edition on price charting. SpiderShan So I’ll pick a couple of great GameCube games that are a ton of fun but won’t break the bank. First is Tales of Symphonia (one of my favorite RPGs) price charted at just $38. If you like comics you can pick up the incredible X-Men Legends for $13 or the even better sequel for $19, all CIB. 16 bit wars nomad Here’s an interesting question for everyone...what is your least favorite console? For me it would be the Wii. I hated the idea of motion controls and preferred an actual controller. And while there were some good games for the Wii It just wasn’t my favorite. Neil & Mike love to talk about two things; the GameCube and the GameCube Microphone, and on Episode 44 of the 'The GameCube Was Cool Podcast' they get to do just that with Ikaruga and Odama. Two cult classics that don't get a lot of air time these days but definitely go down in the history books of the weird and great games released in the era of the GameCube. A tough as nails space "Shoot Em Up" and an RTS with pinball mechanics... what a fun time it was to be alive in the 2000s. There are actually more retro games available on switch than the wii, wii u or 3ds! But it's difficult to get the full picture. Several of these collections overlap. But then sometimes different versions of a game are significant enough they should count separately. I also only pulled virtual console numbers for the other systems. I know there were at least some compilations and collections on them as well. It might be interesting to give a breakdown by system. (how many SNES games are available on switch vs. Wii?) Part of the reason the offerings on switch feel so sparse is I sort of mentally block out all the arcade stuff and the atari collection, and those make up a good chunk of Switch's final number.
