Edward “Ed” Warren Davis, 58, of Henrico, VA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Davis, Jr. and Dorothy Davis; He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; son, Joey (Lauren); daughter Kelsey; brothers, David Davis (Kathy), and Leslie Davis; sister, Nora Burton (Robert); step-daughter, Megan Moore (Malcolm); step-grandson, Myles Moore; step-mother Edith Davis; and a large extended family and a host of friends, particularly those at the VFW Post # 6364. Welcome to the last episode of our series on William Branham. At this point, it must be hard to separate fact from fiction, but that is precisely the point. You have been on a wild ride for the last few weeks. You have heard it all, from prohibition to shootouts, the fabricated stories of William Branham, and the wild-sexcapades of Roy Davis. Yet it all must climax somewhere the story of William Branham must come to an end. The end of William Branham began at the birth of the most infamous preacher man, the black-haired Raven, Jim Jones. Branham was a pragmatist, a man who saw the blossoming preacher, Jim Jones, as just another opportunity to get his "Message" throughout the earth. The two collided to create a symphony of madness. For Branham and his white-supremacy message, his soliloquy at work was a juxtaposition to the civil rights leader Jim Jones. How did the two get along? How did William Branham die? In part 5, we take a look at a movement later on in Branham's ministry known as "The Latter Rain". Join us as we take a look at these healing revival services & the undue influence these "Prophetic Unveilings" had on many well-known figures within the hyper Charismatic movement. We also look at how "The Latter Rain" was connected to Roy Davis & how it impacted countless white supremacy hate groups like 'Donny Reagan' who promoted William Branham & his doctrines against racial equality. Lastly, we take a look at how the Latter Rain movement crossed paths with Jim Jones & The Peoples Temple that ended up being a catalyst in the road to Jonestown. In part 3, we look at a 1920s congressman from Georgia by the name of William D. Upshaw & the unique impact he ended up having on the Branham Cult. William D. Upshaw was a United States Congressman and revivalist from Georgia who was closely affiliated with William Joseph Simmons during the early years of the 1915 Ku Klux Klan and later with Roy E. Davis as Davis rose to the rank of the Imperial Wizard of the Klan. Upshaw was known as the "driest of the dries" for his position against drinking alcohol, helped turn the State of Georgia into the first "dry state", and almost single-handedly led Simmons and the Klan to victory during the 1921 Congressional Hearings. Upshaw helped promote William Branham's revivals by posing as a wheelchair invalid at Roy Davis' request, advertised other revivalists in the Voice of Healing/Latter Rain revivals, and toured with the Branham campaigns until his death in 1952. How did the exactly KLU-KLUX-KLAN formulate & how much influence did they really have in U.S. politics at that time? What role did Congressman Upshaw have in the KLAN & what sort of influence did he really have on Roy E. Davis & William Branham? Tune in to find out!"

In part 2, we continue in the mid 1920's & look at the formulation of a unique relationship between William Branham & Roy E Davis. Roy Davis was an evangelist from Texas who ordained William Branham into the Pentecostal faith, mentored Branham in his church, and taught Branham to drink poison to gain new converts. Davis was also an official spokesperson for William Joseph Simmons in both the 1915 Ku Klux Klan and the Knights of the Flaming Sword white supremacy groups, and eventually an Imperial Wizard of the K.K.K. Davis fled to Jeffersonville, IN after a series of criminal activities ranging from bank robbery and swindling to bigamy and sexual crimes. Before those crimes were exposed and he was extradited on charges of Grand Theft, Davis planted the church that would become Branham's "Billie Branham Pentecostal Tabernacle" and eventually the "Branham Tabernacle" when Branham's stage persona transitioned to "Baptist". How exactly did famous historical events like the uncertainty of the great depression, the systematic racial tensions of the Jim Crow Era, & Branham's relationship with Roy E Davis helped formulate his underlying worldview & the Cult known as “The Message” Tune in to find out! The sister of 21-year old university student Henry Baltimore Jr. goes to meet him at his apartment, but discovers he is not there and eventually reports him missing. Nearly three months earlier, a pair of attackers had broken into Henry's apartment to assault and rob him and police arrested a suspect named Roy Davis. After Henry testified against Davis at his preliminary hearing, Davis allegedly threatened him and Henry would go missing two days before Davis' arraignment. February 13, 1984. Catonsville, Maryland. 39-year old teacher Oliver Munson leaves his home to drive to school, but never arrives. Oliver's abandoned car is soon discovered a few blocks away and two weeks later, a stolen vehicle is found containing evidence which suggests that Oliver was murdered. One year earlier, Oliver had unknowingly purchased a stolen car from a career criminal Dennis Watson. After Watson was arrested, Oliver was called upon to testify as a witness against him and his disappearance took place only three days before Watson's trial. This week, we will be presenting a special double feature episode of “The Trail Went Cold” about two unsolved missing persons cases where the victim vanished shortly before they were scheduled to testify in a criminal case. The track, which features Cody Chesnutt on guitar and vocals.
