Rob takes us inside Shake Shack, where passion for great food and hospitality perfectly blends. He shares how leading a fast-growing company comes with challenges, but Shake Shack knows how to scale big without losing what keeps the brand unique.Key takeaways:Shake Shack once thought 450 locations was a wild dream—now they're aiming for 1,500. The secret? Confidence, high sales, and adaptability. Rob believes Shake Shack has proved it can thrive anywhere, now operating in over 30 states.Shatzy and Jimmy believe the restaurant and hospitality industry is shifting—while CFOs once led the path to CEO, CMOs are now leading with more desirable skills. Rob sees this trend as a natural one as he believes a great CMO already operates with a guest-first mindset. How does Shake Shack balance Danny Meyer's enlightened hospitality principle—a philosophy centered on human connection with digital innovation?Rob discusses the challenge of scaling while preserving identity, balancing non-negotiables with efficiency, and maintaining a commitment to quality, team culture, and community, ensuring that growth doesn't come at the expense of what makes the brand special.Hot takes: The fun kicks off with "Hot or Not", where Rob Lynch weighs in on the hottest (and not-so-hot) trends —are AI-powered restaurant ordering systems the future? Is drone delivery finally ready for takeoff? The heat rises in "The Feud", "Branded Quickfire", and "Fast Money",as Rob battles it out for ultimate bragging rights—can he hit 200 points and claim the title, or will he walk away with nothing but a cold fry? Thanks for hanging with us on Hospitality Hangout, powered by Branded Hospitality Ventures! Between 4 and 5 million South Africans live in informal settlements, and it is unlikely that many of them will be able to get access to formal housing in the near future. The Shackbuilder is an NPC which helps to build shacks which are more comfortable and dignified to live in, to allow the occupants to enjoy a slightly better quality of life while waiting for a permanent home. When Brooklyn's Big Crown Records was a nascent label, one of the first artists that founder El Michels Affair signed was The Shacks, and in fact, Shannon Wise was only 17 at the time and they had to wait until her 18th birthday to sign the contract. Along with Max Shrager the duo made a lot of music together, toured the world, were placed on impactful, global ad campaigns and released their debut album but, alas, the band broke up in 2020 before finishing their sophomore album even though they were very prolific and wrote many good songs. Thanks to the label, the new compilation Big Crown Vaults Vol. 2 offers unreleased tracks, including the very beautiful “Gentle.”

Rob and Katie have talked about restaurants before, but here are some tips on various snack areas across the parks. Usually these are little huts or "shacks" spread all around for those who simply want a snack. Where are they located, what do they have? Are they even any good? Rob and Katie know, and will share their knowledge on this episode.
Join Star Parker this week on "CURE America with Star Parker" for insightful conversations with guests dedicated to upholding principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility in the United States. Star sits down with Richard Manning, President of Americans for Limited Government, and Marty Dannenfelser, Vice President for Government Relations at CURE, to analyze a recent hearing of Special Counsel Robert Hur over the investigation into Joe Biden's illegal actions of hoarding "classified documents" in his messy garage for over two decades while he was a senator, without legal privileges to have them. Next, Star sits down with Thomas Schatz, shedding light on his work with Citizens Against Government Waste (CAWA). Shacks provides valuable insight into the organization's mission, operation, and its relentless efforts to combat excessive government spending, which currently it's headed to exceed seven trillion dollars. He emphasizes the necessity of effective lobbying and proposes solutions for reining in congressional overspending. The conversation then shifts to recent legislation affecting TikTok, highlighting the importance of forcing the Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to divest its control of this very popular app in America to a more friendly nation, thereby reducing communist spying apparatus in our nation. Finally, the show addresses Vice President Kamala Harris's visit to Planned Parenthood, challenging the narrative that abortion is a matter of women's health when we all clearly know that a life is being taken. Don't miss this episode of "CURE America with Star Parker!
Among all the foods that are quintessentially "New England", maple syrup is close to the top! We're in sugaring season right now, and it doesn't last too long - just a matter of weeks. Farmers, sugar house owners, and hobbyists are working long hours to try and make the most of what the trees choose to provide this year. Melissa Leab of Ioka Valley Farm in Hancock is also a member of the Massachusetts Maple Producers Association, and she joins Nichole this week to talk about the sugaring process, how this year's warm weather is impacting the product, and how you can celebrate Maple Weekend at sugar shacks around the Commonwealth.

In this episode I was onsite at the Virginia Revolution Sportsplex in Leesburg, Virginia for the Future Tribe ID Clinic. I recorded the three question and answer sessions with the prospects and coaches. In the first portion, Marsha Lycan, the associate head coach at the College of William and Mary. In the second section, Shenandoah University head women's soccer coach, Elizabeth Pike fields questions, and in the final part, William and Mary head coach Julie Shackford talks with the prospects. There were many great questions from the student-athletes and a ton of information as a result. Thank you to Shacks for allowing me to be a part of the clinic!

In this episode of The Wrap Beers, 90s nostalgia takes center stage. Beers are nice, but the guys chose drinking responsibly with their drink selection, settling for their go-to brand that, quite frankly, boasts "Murder Your Thirst" as their mission statement. That's right. Liquid Death is back! While murdering their thirst with new flavors, Dylan and Rog dive into their favorite 90s cartoons. 'Hey Arnold!', 'Ed, Ed, and Eddy', and 'Courage the Cowardly Dog' are just a few of the many classics mentioned in the first half. One movie star yet to be discussed is the great Vince Vaughn, who gets his flowers in the second half. To wrap things up, the guys relive their high intensity shenanigans from the past couple weeks, which brought Dylan an unforgettable night at a The 1975 concert, and Rog's first "What the float" experience on Halloween.Sip back and enjoy the show!Drink of ChoiceLiquid Death - Mango Chainsaw (Dylan) / Convicted Melon (Rog)Created by upStreamhttps://www.upstreampix.com/the-wrap-beers-podcastFollow The Wrap Beers Podcast!https://www.instagram.com/thewrapbeers/https://twitter.com/TheWrapBeersDylan - https://www.instagram.com/dylan_john_murphy/Roger - https://www.instagram.com/rogerzworld/

As Gregory Ramkissoon walked to work at the university in Kingston, Jamaica, he encountered a community of squatters living in such poverty he felt sick to his stomach. Shacks made of cardboard and scraps of tin. Babies wailing. Humans living in filth and garbage. It was 1978 and when Gregory faced his urban planning students in a lecture hall that morning, he told them to follow him. As the group streamed out into the street, he asked them how they could help those who were suffering. “Start where you are,” Gregory told me. With this philosophy, he launched Mustard Seed Communities, an NGO that began with a school for children in Jamaica and has now expanded to five countries. As you listen to this episode, consider:What work has been placed in my path? What keeps me from stepping in to help others?
