In this episode of the Uploft Interior Design Podcast, I shared the story of helping a new client redesign a recently purchased Upper West Side apartment with stunning Central Park views. I explained how I carefully navigated suggesting the removal of a massive built-in media unit that was blocking the space and ultimately transformed the apartment's layout and functionality. I also discussed the challenges of giving honest design advice while building trust with clients and knowing when to hold back criticism, such as with a dining table purchase I didn't love.
