Forecast = Cloudy with a chance of zero-days-watch for Spellbinder storms and scattered Git leaks! On this episode of Storm⚡️Watch, the crew dives into the fast-moving world of vulnerability tracking and threat intelligence, spotlighting how defenders are moving beyond the traditional CVE system to keep pace with real-world attacks. The show kicks off with a look at the latest listener poll, always a source of lively debate, before jumping into some of the most pressing cybersecurity stories of the week. A major focus of this episode is the recent revelation that a China-aligned APT group, dubbed TheWizards, is using a tool called Spellbinder to abuse IPv6 SLAAC for adversary-in-the-middle attacks. This technique lets attackers move laterally through networks by hijacking software update mechanisms-specifically targeting popular Chinese applications like Sogou Pinyin and Tencent QQ-to deliver malicious payloads such as the modular WizardNet backdoor. The crew unpacks how this approach leverages IPv6's stateless address autoconfiguration to intercept and redirect legitimate traffic, underscoring the evolving sophistication of lateral movement techniques in targeted campaigns. The episode then turns to Google's 2024 zero-day exploitation analysis, which reports a drop in the total number of zero-days exploited compared to last year but highlights a worrying shift: attackers are increasingly targeting enterprise products and infrastructure. Microsoft, Ivanti, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco are among the most targeted vendors, with nearly half of all zero-day exploits now aimed at enterprise systems and network appliances. The discussion covers how attackers are chaining vulnerabilities for more impactful breaches and why defenders need to be vigilant as threat actors pivot to harder-to-monitor enterprise environments. Censys is in the spotlight for its recent research and tooling, including a new Ports & Protocols Dashboard that gives organizations granular visibility into their attack surface across all ports and protocols. This helps teams quickly spot risky exposures and misconfigurations, making it easier to prioritize remediation efforts and automate alerting for high-risk assets. The crew also highlights Censys's collaborative work on botnet hunting and their ongoing push to retire stale threat indicators, all of which are reshaping proactive defense strategies. runZero's latest insights emphasize the importance of prioritizing risks at the asset stack level, not just by CVE. The crew explains how misconfigurations, outdated software, and weak network segmentation can create stacked risks that traditional scanners might miss, urging listeners to adopt a more holistic approach to asset management and vulnerability prioritization. Rounding out the episode, GreyNoise shares new research on a dramatic spike in scanning for Ivanti Connect Secure VPNs and a surge in crawling activity targeting Git configuration files. These trends highlight the persistent risk of codebase exposure and the critical need to secure developer infrastructure, as exposed Git configs can lead to the leak of sensitive credentials and even entire codebases. As always, the show wraps up with some final thoughts and goodbyes, leaving listeners with actionable insights and a reminder to stay vigilant in the face of rapidly evolving cyber threats. Black Caddis began as one of Preston Theony's homebrew recipes, but rather than create a take on an existing style, he started with the flavor he wanted to achieve and built a recipe to realize that. Now, after brewing the beer commercially at Wren House (https://www.wrenhousebrewing.com) for the better part of the past decade, he's still not done experimenting with changes to not just the recipe, but the core of fermentation itself. More recently, the beer has moved from ale fermentation with a Kölsch strain to lager fermentation with a 34-70 strain, in order to amplify the “clean, cutting characteristic” that Theony sought. It's dark beer in the 4% ABV range sold in one of the hottest of the United States, and drinkability is paramount. Similarly, Theony has never stopped tinkering with their hazy IPA recipe, despite core beer Spellbinder's gold medal in the juicy or hazy IPA category at the 2020 GABF. Note that anything he mentions doing or using in this podcast is subject to change, and this is only a snapshot of where they are at this brewing moment. But with that said, through the conversation, he touches on: switching to lager fermentation with a shorter lagering time to give Black Caddis porter more edge layering Carafa, C120, Carafoam, and Chocolate Rye malt for broad flavor in a small beer hyperfocusing on pH throughout the brewing process reducing whirlpool hops and boosting dry hops to improve drinkability using Galaxy as a bridge between Citra and Mosaic dry hopping early and capping the tank their approach to awards season as a time to reflect and improve beers evaluating competition feedback And more. Really Interesting Women - the PodcastEpisode 116 Heather Mitchell AMHeather Mitchell is one of this country's most acclaimed actors. In a career lasting over 4 decades (and counting), she has been involved in film, theatre and television projects that we would all be familiar with no matter what era you call your own...the TV miniseries Bodyline, the fantasy teen drama Spellbinder, movies such as Proof, The Great Gatsby, Muriel's Wedding, Palm Beach and countless theatre productions culminating most recently in the critically acclaimed, RBG: Of Many, One, where Heather, in an extraordinary performance, plays the former US Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg - one of nearly 30 characters she plays in the show. But if you think that working in a fickle industry for 40 plus years means she's probably had an easy run...nothing could be further from the truth. The strength, determination and resilience required from Heather in the face of, at times, overwhelming odds, would be beyond most of us. It speaks volumes of her that she has faced these challenges and will still light up a room with her smile and genuine (!) demeanour. Clairvoyants and burnt toast play a big part in her life too - have a listen to her podcast episode to understand why. She's greatly respected and admired within the industry and, more importantly, much loved .Her memoir, Everything and Nothing (Allen & Unwin) is a really good read. The 5 Am ClubThe 5 Am Club Full Chapter Brief The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma is a life-changing book that shows you how to make the most of your mornings and transform your life. It introduces the concept of the 5 AM Club and provides a step-by-step guide to creating a morning routine that can help you improve your mindset, heartset, healthset, and soulset. With practical advice, inspiring stories, and powerful tools, this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to unlock their full potential and achieve their biggest goals. Overview | Chapter 1Hi, welcome to Bookey. Today we will unlock the book The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma. In today's Bookey, we will follow the footsteps of three people. The first one is a frustrated entrepreneur who was about to go bankrupt and even commit suicide. The second one is an artist who was struggling to find ways to boost his creativity and enhance his abilities to create remarkable art pieces that would leave a lasting impression in his field. Both of them took part in a personal optimization conference addressed by a legendary business guru, the Spellbinder, where they met a billionaire who disguised himself as a poor man and shared his success story with the two. The billionaire is called Stone Riley. He invited the entrepreneur and the artist to his beach house in Mauritius to teach them the secrets of a world-class morning routine, which is also his key to success. The only requirement was that they should meet at 5 AM the next morning. The next morning, a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce collected them and delivered them to a hangar containing a sleek, ivory-colored private jet, which bore the logo: “5AC.” What did it mean? The logo stood for “The 5 AM Club.” Then they set off on a journey to Mauritius. Over the next few days, the billionaire explained to them how getting up at five AM was the way he had learned to escape mediocrity and achieve greatness. Through the billionaire's teachings, the two students gained a new outlook on life and the potential to transform everything for the better. The author Robin Sharma presents the information through a fictional story, following the journey of three characters who are seeking personal and professional success. This storytelling approach allows us to engage with the book in a more relatable and memorable way, as they follow the characters' struggles and triumphs. Next, why not join them on their journey? We will pick out the three important key points in this book that can lead you into the 5 AM Club. In Part One, we will discuss the four interior empires, which include Mindset, Heartset, Healthset and Soulset. In Part Two, we will explore the 20/20/20 formula, which can be used to take advantage of the first hour of the day. In Part Three, we will talk about the essentialness of sleep and the pre-sleeping ritual, which can help us gain better sleep.

It's been two and a half years since the wonderful actress Kelly Preston has passed away. Back when it happened, Halloween Boutique Psychotronic Reviews had planned a tribute for her, recording episodes on some of her movies. The first recorded TWINS (1988) we recorded and it is in the backlog for future release. However, we also recorded one on her movie SPELLBINDER (1988) which is what we are releasing first. When Jeff (Timothy Daly) and his friend Derek (Rick Rossovich) see a young lady Miranda (Kelly Preston) being hit by a man in a parking lot, Jeff stops the attack and offers Miranda a place to stay. (NSFW) This week Nate, Ed, and Chris all head up to Wren House Brewing's latest addition The Prairie Patio. Which, weather permitting, serves up delicious beers on their rustic patio with incredible views of the surrounding Prescott Air Park area. They sit down with their old friend, and head brewer Luke Wortendyke aka Cool Hand Dub. They sip on some ultra fresh cans of Above Snakes, and Spellbinder. Nate can hardly contain himself, on how fresh these cans are. They go over all the details of the new production facility and how it compares to his old brewing space. More so, they get into how this all came about, and how Luke got himself stationed at The Prairie Patio. Enjoi! We return to Standard for the remainder of our Strixhaven constructed set review. Today we review Paulo Vitor Damo Da Rosa's World Championship card, Elite Spellbinder, as one of the clear frontrunners in the set for power level and playability. In a set with a lot of 2nd rate commander cards, it's nice to see a few bangers to keep the faith alive. Stay tuned, as we'll be releasing the remainder of the set review over the next few weeks. we got a hot one this week folks, we watch season of the witch, a movie about a woman who decides she doesn't want to live a boring suburban life anymore, so she learns magic and shoots her husband with a gun. don't worry about what she uses the magic for. we talk about what your parents learned from the movie and do some soon to be considered legendary bits like the Witch Mafia and Spellbinder open mics. its all around solid in my opinion give us five stars please. this movie, like all other movies, is an allegory for a lot of things. cian even compares it to Crime and Punishment at one point but not in the sense that it's good, in a different sense. this thing is written and filmed weird, and also the spelling of the directors last name, Romero, is weird to me some how. we ended weird that's clans fault. shout out to COMEDY HERE OFTEN? we love you and also all the other Best Friends Of The Show. @ypwtpod @Ihatebrad @cian_beatty also does anyone wnant to sponsor the show? our numbers are huge to be honest
Last year, Autumn rolled out a pretty unique system for organizing and encouraging engagement with her reader email list through a tiering system. Would it work for you? We go over the details along with the pros and cons - like "Yay, readers sharing your books on social media while website stats skyrocket" to "OMG, I have to write how many emails to do this?"
Our fifth year has come and gone. We list our top 10 rated beers of 2020 as we look forward to our sixth year of our drunken shenanigans. We drink and review Spellbinder (6.5% ABV) the 2020GABF Gold Medal Winner for Juicy/Hazy IPA brewed by Wren House Brewing (Phoenix, AZ). We also drink and review Smooth Ride (7% ABV), an export stout brewed by Del Cielo Brewing (Martinez, CA). We finish the show by discuss three slang words the kids are using these days. How may of them do you know? How many of them have you used?

March is Women's History Month and March 8th was International Women's Day. That being said this episode is all about the talented women in metal! Sister Rosetta Tharpe took a mix of gospel and swing to create the precursor of rock and roll. Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton's 1952 recording of "Hound Dog" is listed as one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll". Jinx Dawson stated singing about witchcraft and Satan with her band Coven releasing 'Witchcraft Destroys Minds and Reaps Souls' a year before Black Sabbath's debut. Girlschool took the stage with Motörhead in 1979. Doro Pesch is dubbed the "Queen of Heavy Metal" for her contributions to music and culture making her a global figure in metal culture for over three decades. I love that these women, among others, helped shape rock and roll and heavy metal. Support these bands! In order of appearance. A fabulous day today – not just due to the dark roast coffee but more of who I got to hang out with to start my day. Mr. Tom Iwanicki and Dr. Jeff Lip joined me today for a fantastic discussion on Og Mandino’s Book, “The Spellbinder’s Gift”. There were 7 steps that were brought up at the end of the story that we talked about today. Let me tell you, life lessons being thrown around left and right in the room we met in. I am walking away so fired up and excited for all of our discussions we had this morning on these 7 points – Pure Gold is what it is. Remember, we all need to be motivated and focused for life and the things we want to do in the brief time we are here. Having people like this to learn from and listen to is something we should want to do every day! So, plan of action for today - First off, find that book as it’s a great story and is a fast read too. Second, make sure you connect with Dr. Jeff Lip at www.jefflip.com and you can connect with Coach Tom Iwanicki on Twitter: @CoachTMI or by email: tiwanicki@yahoo.com. We will have more visits with Coach T I on future shows for sure. Thanks for listening. Few writers can claim to keep millions of readers up at night eagerly foregoing sleep to keep turning pages like bestselling author, David Baldacci. His novels have been heralded as “gripping,” “spellbinding” and “thrill producing.” Now David has added another soon-to-be bestseller to his already impressive list. In The Fix readers reconnect with one of David’s most popular heroes, Amos Decker, as he goes about solving a baffling murder that has ties to an international terrorist group. If you love a great tale told by a master storyteller, you won’t want to miss learning what this famous author has to share!
Rob and Dave normally discuss the past month in Doctor Who, but with this being a quieter month and the holiday season to boot, they mix up the formula a little. Along the way, they cover: – Listener feedback on Captain Mike Yates' appearance in Star Wars: Rogue One (as discussed on their Rogue One episode). - Doctor Who merchandise including reprints of 1960s novels, Eaglemoss figurines, Robert Harrop figurines, and wargaming sets from Warlord Games. - The Return of Doctor Mysterio, the first new episode of Doctor Who in 12 months. What did the guys think? Thumbs up or down? - Top TV shows from childhood and why, including: Astro Boy, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Monkey, Odysseus: The Greatest Hero of Them All, The Goodies, Press Gang, Star Blazers, Spellbinder, and Robotech. We continue on with Part 2 of our discussion with original Santana drummer, Michael Shrieve. Earlier in the year Michael also released his latest recording of latin, rock and funk inspired fusion with his group Spellbinder. We will speak more about this group and its future plans. It is in Part 2 that we get to hear about important collaborations with Klaus Schulze, David Beal, Andy Summers, Steve Roach, David Torn, Jonas Hellborg, Bill Frisell, Mark Isham, Wayne Horvitz, and Marty Fogel.
