TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. How we make decisions matters. Do make them right away? Do we consult God first? Do we just keep kicking it down the road? Or do we make the decision to do something and not follow through? However we decide, the way we make decisions reflects the walk we're walking with Jesus. And that matters. Our brothers and sisters need to see us walking with the Lord.

Ever chuckled at the thought of new life springing forth in the golden years, or found humor in the trials of faith? That's just a taste of the candid reflections my brother Mitchell and I shared in our latest Pure Faith Podcast episode. We navigate the laugh lines of our faith journey, from the joy of kindergarten kickoffs to the poignant moment when the nest empties. Our sibling banter might just tickle your funny bone as we reminisce and muse over the emotional heft of the Easter season.Take a step back in time with us as we explore the story of Abraham and Sarah, and how a bout of incredulous laughter gave way to a legacy of belief. Their narrative isn't just a dusty tale from Genesis; it's a vibrant example of faith stitched with human imperfections, a reminder that even the most revered biblical figures had their moments of doubt. We wrap our hearts around the virtues of patience and trust, sharing personal highs and lows that highlight the divine cadence of life's timeline and the discipline needed to unfurl the layers of sacred scriptures. As our conversation winds down, we hint at an exhilarating new direction for our poignant discussions, one that promises to enrich our spiritual dialectic—and hopefully yours too. We invite you to join the dialogue, share your own insights, and stay tuned. We lay bare our own spiritual struggles and triumphs, revealing how an active pursuit of God goes beyond prayer to include decisive action. As we peel away the layers of guilt-driven religion, we uncover the liberating truth that God's love is the real spark for change. We'll invite you to consider the authenticity of your faith journey and challenge you to stoke the spiritual flames that lead to a life transformed by divine love. In our candid conversation, we delve into the complexities of human narratives and the necessity of leaders to embrace vulnerability, drawing lessons from the stories of public figures like Mike Bickel and Carl Lentz. By sharing our own moments of reckoning, we hope to illuminate the grace found in our imperfections and the strength gained by admitting our uncertainties. This episode is not just a dialogue but a heartfelt communion with all who seek a deeper, more meaningful connection with God amidst the cacophony of life's demands. In this episode you heard about Quakers looking outside the Religious Society of Friends for something more. They are asking, “Is something missing in Quaker worship?” It may be something we once had that is now lost. Some may be seeking new infusions of influences for a new time in history. Peterson has often heard Quakers say something like, “I attend Quaker meetings for worship, AND I also…” then they tell him about the other faith traditions or spiritual practices that feed them, center them, or enhance their Quaker faith and practice. During our walk with the Lord, there are often times where we yearn for a deeper connection and we find ourselves navigating in deep spiritual waters. In today's episode Kristin invites mentor Leah Moore for a conversation on fasting, prayers, and how they become the compass that guides us through these deeper waters. Leah welcomes listeners into the concept behind fasting, why we do it, and the power it can offer us during our Christian journey. Fasting equips us with spiritual discipline and self-control allowing us to stay anchored in our faith. Leah takes us into the incredible power that prayer and fasting offer us when they're combined. The door to a deeper relationship with the Lord opens when we engage in both fasting and prayers. Fasting humbles us, making us more receptive to God's guidance, while prayers connect us to his heart. There are moments when we find ourselves delving into the deep waters of our soul, seeking a closer connection with the Lord. Fasting and prayers, like inseparable twins, serve as powerful tools to help us navigate these spiritual depths. Putting God First means we seek him in prayer and through his Holy Word. Praying time is now and I found some wonderful heart felt prayers to share. Anything I find that is good I love to share it with the listeners. Building a relationship with Almighty God takes prayer, prayer is talking to God and the more we talk to him the better we get to know him. All our prayer shouldn't just ask him for stuff and things but seek him for our spiritual side because he is a Spiritual God. The Believer must always remember by faith and talk with him about our Spiritual Walk with him.
