Welcome to the final Patio Season episode of the Ladies Talkin' Leafs offseason with another year in the books for our show! We are celebrating an incredible season and the 5th Anniversary of this Podcast, doing what we love, talkin' Leafs with all of you! In this episode we're going to take a listen down memory lane as we run a very special Anniversary edition of the LTL Highlight Reel, featuring our most popular episodes from each of the past 5 seasons. Then, with training camp just around the corner and many holes yet to fill, we welcome Nick Barden, contributor to The Hockey News Toronto, to discuss the top prospects in the Leafs organization and get his thoughts on who he thinks could make the Leap to the big club. He also gives us his insights into the recent hiring of Steve Sullivan as an assistant coach for the Marlies and what he feels are the biggest question marks the Leafs still have going into the upcoming season. It's been another incredible year for us here on Ladies Talkin' Leafs and we have so much to be grateful for! We want to thank all the amazing guests that took time out of their busy schedules to come on our show to talk Leafs with us. A special shout out, of course goes to our LTL Insider Mike Augello, who joins us throughout the NHL season and always delivers with his keen Leafs insights! Our final thank you and immense gratitude goes to you, our listeners, viewers and followers. Without you, our show would not be possible. Before we get to the ex-Toronto Marlies assistant coach and tactics guru (1:43:12), Keegan and Sheng talk about the latest San Jose Sharks news. (01:40) The San Jose Sharks re-sign Brandon Coe, we discuss Coe's development path and the 2020 Draft. (08:30) Bret Hedican is leaving the San Jose Sharks' broadcasting booth, who could replace him? (27:05) There was a bit of a Twitter kerfuffle with something Sheng posted from our recent Jonathan Becher interview. (32:40) What should the San Jose Sharks still try to add to this team? How about Yaroslav Askarov, would Keegan make the trade that Sheng proposed earlier last week? (50:40) The San Jose Sharks organization still need a No. 3 goalie, we talk remaining free agents, like Martin Jones. (1:19:00) How about a defenseman? (01:27:00) Finally, who won the Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski, Patrick Marleau, and William Eklund autographs that SJHN is giving away for its fourth anniversary? Was that real or just puck luck? (1:49:20) Han is impressed with San Jose's off-season acquisitions, especially Tyler Toffoli's subtle skills. (1:54:25) How will Celebrini and Smith transition to the NHL, what's their immediate impact? (2:09:45) Han thought that Nikolaj Ehlers or Martin Necas could be a good fit for the San Jose Sharks. Is there another type of player that they should target? (2:13:10) What about the top defensemen of the 2024 Draft? Han watched them all, including doing a Zayne Parekh video workshop, he thinks that they all have red flags. What does he think of the choice between Sam Dickinson or Zeev Buium? (2:16:35) What's the value of having a skills and development assistant coach like Jeff Ulmer around the bench now? (2:22:15) In Han's Hockey Tactics 2024, he talks about William Eklund's skill-set. What does he think of Eklund's development? (2:25:10)

Produced by Joseph Cottrell, Jeffrey Crecelius and Ken Fuller This week, Mark and I had a great conversation about Yes ephemera - what do I mean by that? Well it's stuff that would certainly have disappeared if it wasn't for people like Steve Sullivan, Pete Whipple and Geoffrey Mason over at forgotten-yesterdays.com who collect and share all sorts of items on that amazing site. As on other occasions, it's best if you take a look at the images below either as you listen or afterwards because everything will make a lot more sense - assuming Mark and I actually do make sense, of course. We chose three concert or related items to talk about each and then I threw in a somewhat unusual item I have just received which is certainly ephemeral. I don't know how many of them still exist. As always, Mark and I would be fascinated to hear your views on this week's items via comments. What items did we choose? What items would you choose? What is that disk thing? Ey up! We're up North today, in the company of cult comedy music legend Chris Sievey and his alter-ego Frank Sidebottom (and Little Frank, of course!). Our special guest is artist, writer and voice artist Sumita Majumdar who brings along her love and admiration for the wacky and unconventional Frank. We discuss how masking crosses over with performance, and how performance itself is a blurry concept when we layer ourselves with so many identities. We also reflect on the term 'eccentricity' and how that fits into the neurodiversity paradigm. There's a sense that Frank's eccentric character is made possible from being a northerner in a northern town rather than a Londoner, causing us to reflect on how neurodiversity sits in relation to locality. The film documents how the Frank Sidebottom character takes over Chris Sievey's life and dwells on some of the suffering Sievey goes through as a result. But we find 'suffering' to be a problematic concept in relation to the creation of art, and wonder if the ideas of neurodiversity give us a new way of looking at artistic creation and artistic industries. For those unfamiliar with Frank Sidebottom, we suggest this delightful video of 'Panic on the Streets of Timperley': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcAME_Hs9mg Big thanks to Sumita for joining us on this episode. For more on Sumita's work, do have a read of her article for the National Autistic Society: https://www.autism.org.uk/advice-and-guidance/stories/stories-from-the-spectrum-pablo Sumita was joined today by regulars Alex and David. Steve notes material from the 50s to 70s while Jon notes 80s and 90s film musicians (while I pepper it with a big of everything including small-screen composers as well!). This and more in our jammed-packed episode with Dr. Stephen Sullivan, professor of anatomy and physiology at Bucks County Community College in Pennsylvania. Dr. Sullivan is also a digital author for McGraw-Hill Education. He shares his experiences as a professor and curriculum developer, around creating content for anatomy and physiology courses, and how this has evolved over the years. He talks about the digital tools and resources that he has used and helped develop over a decade, and how his experiences teaching online for years have made it easy for him to transition and support students and other educators during this time of Covid and distance learning. He shares strategies and provides some great insight into the impact of Covid both on his own instruction, but particularly on the struggles and challenges facing community college students. A serial entrepreneur in the outdoor industry, Steve Sullivan (Sulli) is Kristin's guest this week on The Intrepid Entrepreneur podcast. Sulli was the co-founder of Cloudveil, and five years ago, he launched www.stio.com, a mountain-lifestyle brand and retail experience founded in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Stio launched with a website, catalog and storefront on Jackson's Town Square. Sulli and his team persevered despite the fact that many of his peers in the outdoor industry questioned his vision. To him, that was a sign he was going in the right direction and his vision has been paying off. Stio just opened its first flagship store outside of Jackson in Chicago.
