In this one, we go over a motion that Coffeezilla filed where he argues that Logan Paul's reputational harm was really caused by... Logan Paul. Specifically, he argues that he should be able to bring in the traditional media (as well as Jake Greenbaum and Eddie Ibanez) as responsible third parties who started talking about the CryptoZoo scandal after Logan Paul's "Thank You Coffeezilla" video. CONTEXT: After Coffeezilla exposed Sam Bankman-Fried and the collapse of FTX, he turned his sights on Logan Paul's crypto NFT project, Cryptozoo. He followed this with an episode of his podcast, Impaulsive, where he repeated the same threat. He has since taken down both videos and reached out to Coffeezilla to inform him that he's no longer pursuing litigation--but he still may have opened himself up to liability along the way, nonetheless. Dylan Syer speaks publicly for the first time about the high-profile accusations that upended his life, including allegations of fraud, identity theft, and grand larceny stemming from his work as a celebrity personal shopper. Prosecutors claimed Dylan used access to clients' finances to make unauthorized luxury purchases, accusations he firmly denies. In this episode, Dylan explains what he says really happened, how the charges caused his business to collapse overnight, and what it was like being sent to Rikers Island while fighting to clear his name. He also opens up about the emotional toll of the case, navigating the criminal justice system, and ultimately being sentenced to one year of weekends at Rikers — a punishment that kept him trapped between freedom and incarceration. _____________________________________________ #RikersIsland #PrisonStories #TrueCrimePodcast #CelebrityLifestyle #LifeAfterPrison #JusticeSystem #RedemptionStory #lockedin _____________________________________________ Thank you to AVA & GOLD DROP SELTZERS for sponsoring this episode: AVA: Take control of your credit today. Joel Lawrence and Matt Kim speak with CPT Fellow Dan Brendsel about preaching in an age shaped by social media, attention economics, and artificial intelligence, exploring how technology subtly reinforces idolatry and the illusion of control. Brendsel argues that preaching should resist catering to diminished attention spans and instead cultivate prayerful attentiveness to God, framing preaching as God's address to a listening community rather than a performance or content delivery optimized by technique or AI. Drawing on thinkers like Neil Postman, C. S. Lewis, and Oliver O'Donovan, he emphasizes improvisation, dependence on the Spirit, and the irreplaceable “occasion” of preaching—something no algorithm can anticipate. The conversation challenges pastors to examine how technology forms both preachers and congregations, calling them back to trust in the Word, embodied listening, and a posture of humble submission rather than technological mastery.Living Church - Awe and Presence
In this episode, Savannah gushes to Julie about the various streaming shows and series she is watching. From Netflix's 'Wayward' to 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', to Amazon Prime's 'Gen V', Savannah and Julie talk about how evolved 'queer-coded' storytelling has become over the years. From a transman being a character in a story where their gender identification has nothing to do with the series, to taking a superhero trait of gender-swapping as having issues and problems far outside the scope of gender identity, to a trio of demon-fighting pop star hunters with struggles of being authentic completely outside the scope of queerdom, we are discovering that modern storytelling doesn't have to hit us over the head with "here is a queer subplot I want you to focus on" in order to be successful and poignant.-----SAVANNAH HAUK is the author of “Living with Crossdressing: Defining a New Normal” and “Living with Crossdressing: Discovering your True Identity“. While both focus on the male-to-female (mtf) crossdresser, “Defining a New Normal” delves into crossdressing and relationships and “Discovering Your True Identity” looks at the individual crossdressing journey. Her latest achievements are two TEDx Talks, one entitled "Demystifying the Crossdressing Experience" and the other "13 Milliseconds: First Impressions of Gender Expression". Savannah is a male-to-female dual-gender crossdresser who is visible in the Upstate of South Carolina, active in local groups and advocating as a public speaker at LGBTQ+ conferences and workshops across the United States. At the moment, Savannah is working on more books, blogs, and projects focused on letting every crossdresser–young and mature–find their own confidence, expression, identity and voice.IG @savannahhauk | FB @savannahhauk | FB @livingwithcrossdressing | web @livingwithcrossdressing.com------JULIE RUBENSTEIN is a dedicated ally to transgender community and the certified image consultant and co-owner of Fox and Hanger. In this episode, we continue our conversation with Dr. José Reis, Research Analyst at the Portuguese National Cybersecurity Center, and Dr. Marcel Garz, Associate Professor at Jönköping University in Sweden, about how media attention shapes states' willingness to comply with human rights rulings.Drawing on their 2024 article published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, “Media Attention and Compliance with the European Court of Human Rights,” they delve deeper into their findings: how newspaper coverage of rulings from the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) increases both the likelihood and the speed of compliance — and why this effect unfolds over years rather than days. They reflect on what surprised them during their research, from the striking lack of media coverage in many countries, to the rare but impactful cases where media engagement is unusually high. The discussion also highlights the practical implications of their work: what the Court itself can do to improve visibility, how journalists shape accountability, and how NGOs and activists can leverage information diffusion to promote compliance. How should courts craft press releases to maximize visibility? Why do some rulings remain invisible to the public? And what can citizen journalists, NGOs, and everyday human rights defenders do when mainstream media stays silent?Join us for this second part of a fascinating conversation that connects media dynamics, public pressure, and the real-world effectiveness of international human rights law.

In this episode, we begin our conversation with Dr. José Reis, Research Analyst at the Portuguese National Cybersecurity Center, and Dr. Marcel Garz, Associate Professor at Jönköping University in Sweden, about how media attention influences compliance with human rights rulings.Drawing on their 2024 article published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, “Media Attention and Compliance with the European Court of Human Rights,” they explore whether — and how — media coverage of the European Court of Human Rights' decisions can increase the likelihood that states actually comply with them. They take us behind the scenes of their innovative research, revealing the complex process of gathering data from dozens of countries and building models to measure media influence — all before the rise of large language models. The discussion also highlights the power of interdisciplinary collaboration between law, political science, and media research in understanding international accountability. How does public attention shape governments' willingness to respect human rights? Why is compliance with international law so dependent on information diffusion? And what can these findings tell us about the relationship between transparency, democracy, and justice in Europe today? Join us for this first part of a fascinating conversation that bridges media studies, data science, and human rights law.

There’s a bit of a gender discrepancy here because it’s likely you might not have heard of Brooke, despite her surpassing some other guys who did similar running challenges that got a lot of media attention. We spoke about: Brooke’s mental health battle with drugs and alcohol before a bad car accident Why she got into running Why the woman running the country isn’t getting as much media attention compared to the blokes Pants off Friday The safety precautions Brooke has had to take The Blue Tree Project The physical impact on Brooke’s body and whether it’s more of a mental challenge If you’re able to donate, you can do so here! Most small businesses and nonprofits don't lack passion or effort—they just get buried under strategies that sound good on paper but never seem to pay off. You try social posts, emails, ads, maybe even hire someone, and still feel like no one's really seeing what you do. It's frustrating, especially when you know your work matters but the spotlight keeps missing you. Sometimes it feels like you're shouting into the void, just hoping something finally sticks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5ofX7-TXM8 Amy Rosenberg is a PR expert and founder of Veracity Agency, known for helping mid-sized companies grow their visibility. She's the author of A Modern Guide to PR and A Practical Guide to Public Relations, and was named PR Woman of the Year. Today, she breaks down how PR, SEO, and AI work together to boost credibility and reach. Her strategy: use monthly content themes, podcast pitching, and third-party validation to build trust and rank better online. Simple, effective, and tailored for real-world impact. Stay tuned! Quotes: “I don't want to say that PR is the solution to marketing and all your problems. But when we think things are too hard or overcomplicate them, we just don't do them.” “Try to think about how you're going to make it interesting to other people—whether that's your audience, offering advice, tying into trends, talking about trends, or using external statistics to discuss topics. Not your own research, but others', and compiling that into a blog post.” “You already are where you need to be. If we think about things that way, instead of always focusing on the future, and just focus on the now—realizing that what we're doing today will help us in the future—it's empowering, especially for our younger professionals.” Resources: Modern Mothership by Amy Rosenberg PR That Works Smarter | Veracity Follow Amy Rosenberg on Facebook Connect with Amy Rosenberg on LinkedIn

This is Zack Fuss. Today, we're tackling a giant in a controversial and incredibly complex industry, UnitedHealth Group. At its recent apex, UNH was a half-trillion-dollar market cap business, the 15th largest listed business in the United States. Today, that market cap sits at just $275 billion. The company generates an excess of $400 billion in sales annually and produces $40 billion in EBITDA as it touches every facet of the American healthcare system. To break down UnitedHealthcare, I'm joined by Stephanie Niven, a co-PM of the Global Sustainable Equity Strategy within the Sustainable Equity Team at Ninety One. Stephanie has been following the company since 2012 and she helps us to unravel this intricate business. We explore how UnitedHealthcare operates as a fully integrated healthcare system from its insurance arm to its high-margin health services business. We also dive into the concept of value-based care, the recent headwinds from Medicare Advantage scrutiny, and whether the market is mispricing this complex giant amidst regulatory noise and leadership changes. Please enjoy this breakdown of UnitedHealth Group. Getting media attention in college is possible! 30 years ago, Bill Williams was faced with a problem keeping in touch with his sales staff spread throughout the Midwest. The internet and email were new so he decided that these new technologies might solve his problem. The staff all had email ... but they never checked it, so Bill decided to send out a "Thought for the Day." Some were humorous, others were just interesting facts or stories. And it worked! They started to read their emails every day ...and they shared these stories with their clients, and THEY asked to get on the distribution list and it just grew. Today, decades later, hundreds of folks across the nation and overseas too are getting these daily missives. In episode 547 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we find out why Bill decided on Texas Tech for his undergraduate experience, how Bill decided that email humor was the way to engage his staff, where all the content comes from for his emails, how his life has changed since then, how to get more media attention while you're in college, how college students can bring change to our government, what is the Million Dollar Round Table, and how college students can start to build long term wealth. Enjoy!

Following Tuesday's 100-96 win over the Atlanta Hawks, the Houston Rockets sit 1.5 games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference. With big wins against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, the Rockets have won 10 of their last 12 and are currently on a four-game winning streak. An impressive 32-14 season record has helped Houston receive increased national media attention, with some already priming the Rockets as legitimate postseason contenders. "Winning puts everybody on the map," head coach Ime Udoka said. As the All-Star break approaches, Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun have made strong cases for their All-Star reserves candidacy. "They're getting rewarded just by being in the conversation," Udoka said. "Jalen and Alpy have both shouldered the load at some point this season. Now, everybody else is kind of being incorporated and adding more to the picture, and I think that's where our depth comes in. We don't have to rely on one guy every night." The final 14 All-Star spots will be announced Thursday at 5:30 p.m. CT. The last matchup of the Rockets' four-game road trip comes against the Grizzlies, who trail right behind the Rockets in the standings. "They do some similar things to what we do. They're second in offensive rebounding behind us. They shift the pace and make transition baskets, and they cause a lot of turnovers," Udoka said. With a win, the Rockets will go 4-0 against Memphis this season.

Episode 283 showcases our hosts Dr Jake Sloane & David Segal. In our final podcast of the year we launch a new mini-series called 'The Entrepreneurs'. These episodes will focus on pioneers in the business world. Our entrepreneurs will share their stories of success, failure, life-changing lessons and big decisions that they made. We'll showcase guests from all sorts of backgrounds to inspire our listeners. In Chapter 1 David shares his journey in aesthetics from the very beginning. From starting importing lasers from China with absolutely no experience, a chance opportunity led to him founding and managing the hugely successful 'Cosmos Clinic'. After another chance meeting at an event, he was then invited to become the General Manager of Laser Clinics Australia - now the world's biggest chain clinic with over 250 locations in numerous countries. These early successes led David and his partners to set their sights on the surgical world. They founded 'The Cosmetic Institute' (TCI) and within just 2 years they had disrupted the entire cosmetic surgery industry in Australia. At its peak TCI performed 100 breast surgeries a week and was turning over $40 million per year.
