The guys had to push the last leg of their “Road to WrestleMania” back one week, so in its place is This Tuesday in Texas from 1991! Other than Taboo Tuesday, this is the only PPV that was chosen to air on a Tuesday! Is it any good? Listen to hear our take! Just 6 days after Survivor Series 1991, we've got a shortened show titled This Tuesday in Texas. The Undertaker was only 1 year into his WWF run when he defeated the goose that laid the golden eggs, Hulk Hogan, to become WWF Champion on Taker's 1 year anniversary (with the help of Ric Flair). Now, he's the defending champion against The Hulkster. "Macho Man" Randy Savage also looks for revenge on the evil snake man, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who had been making Savage and Miss Elizabeth's lives a living Hell for months, including crashing their wedding reception and having a cobra bite Macho Man. Bret Hart also takes on Skinner, the British Bulldog does battle with the Warlord, and Repo Man teams with Ted DiBiase against Virgil and El Matador to continue "The Million Dollar Man's" feud with his former "servant." This show took place on December 3, 1991, at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. The event was an attempt by the WWF to establish Tuesday as a secondary pay-per-view night. Lukewarm reaction and a disappointing 1.0 buyrate rendered the experiment a failure, and the company shelved its plans until October 2004, when it held Taboo Tuesday. linktr.ee/MainEventMarks Learn more about your ad choices. MLW Underground debuted on Reelz, and CEO, founder and promoter, Court Bauer, returns to talk about his promotion's new TV deal and how it all came together. He's also shedding light on the antitrust lawsuit he filed against his former employer, WWE, and why this David vs Goliath battle is so important for the wrestling industry as a whole. And Court shares more stories from his time on the creative team at WWE. He gives a behind-the-scenes look at the big Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio feud that involved Rey Mysterio's then 8-year-old son Dominik, and some of the ideas that Eddie brought to the table. He explains why this particular storyline featured a lot more Eddie on the mic than Eddie in the ring. Court talks Taboo Tuesday, Cyber Monday, and discusses what he learned working alongside Dusty Rhodes, Bruce Prichard, Paul Heyman, and Vince McMahon. Plus, he talks about MLW's luck in signing generational talent like Hammerstone and Jacob Fatu, and why he's so excited for everyone to see the up and coming Microman. And I said, ‘No, I'm not. I'm ugly and fat.' And that look on her face was one I'll never forget, because it was the moment where I knew, as a woman, I could not ask my daughters to be the strong women that I wanted them to become if I wasn't one myself.” (8:46) - Becoming more comfortable with self-pleasure - “The only sex education I got from my parents was, ‘Don't get pregnant,' and I'm like, ‘Okay, great. How do I get pregnant in the first place? Special thanks to the entire Coa crew! JUMP STRAIGHT INTO: (02:04) - Battling mental health and creating Madhappy - “It's inevitable that we'll have really sad days and go through hard times, and I think the more that we can pay attention to that and really honor those times so we can just learn so much more about ourselves, about each other, about the world, and therefore really be able to grow and evolve.” (04:49) - The stigma around men's mental health - “Having that ability to be vulnerable is actually such a sign of courage. And I think for men especially, they will do whatever it takes to just put on that facade of being very strong and kind of being rock solid on the outside and never showing that weakness.” (08:31) - Mason's love and sex addiction - “I had really just built a world where I was just getting all of my self-worth from other people, and always having to be in relationships and always having to be talking to people on the side to really just make me feel like I had this web of people who needed me and wanted me so that I would really never feel alone.” (15:58) - Mason's work to get to the root of the problem - “Really seeing what comes up and really getting to know myself and my story, and being able to contextualize as to how these events that I might not think about on a daily basis or consciously even remember are really drastically affecting my present-day life and my behaviors, has been a game changer” (20:01) - Advice for men who want to confront their mental health struggles - “Even if you can't see it, it's there, and for better or for worse, it will eventually rear its ugly head in some way someday. So I think it's better to just kind of be realistic with yourself and be practical and just know that it's a normal part of the human experience.”

JUMP STRAIGHT INTO: (01:31) - Mental health is as important as physical health - “They feel like you have to be in crisis or have a diagnosable condition before you step in a therapist's office, and so they don't do anything about it, and then they land in my office when they're having the equivalent of an emotional heart attack.” (04:49) - Idiot compassion vs. wise compassion - “A therapist will hold up a mirror to you and help you to see something about yourself that you haven't been willing or able to see.” (07:36) - On growing as a therapist - “You go and you get trained and you learn the scales and the technique and the form and all of the rules. And then when you get really good at that you start to improvise, and the more you improvise, the more you see who you are going to become as a therapist.” (11:23) - Stigma and therapy - “People need support andI think it would be a lot easier if we just acknowledged that human beings are ridiculous, and I mean that in the most compassionate way.” (18:22) - Embracing our feelings - “Feelings don't go away. They just get stuffed down, but they're still there. And in fact feelings need air, so they just get bigger. So I think the danger is that you feel like you've numbed out your feeling, but numbness isn't the absence of feelings. Numbness is a sense of being overwhelmed by too many feelings.” (25:41) The connection between therapist and patient - “The person's training, the kind of modality that they're using, the years of experience, all of those things definitely matter. So I'm not saying they don't because...

Special thanks to the entire Coa crew! JUMP STRAIGHT INTO: (02:45) - Kat on mistakes, loss, and grief - “I have learned to appreciate that there is a spectrum which has allowed me to feel whatever I feel in the moment, but understand that it could be worse or it could be better and have a sense of perspective." (6:15) - A framework for managing emotions - “I'm still a leader. I still have responsibilities for this team. And I have to decide if I'm going to show up, how do I modify? Because my words and my body language and my tone and everything that could be altered by something that's taking my energy, will definitely be misread if I do not otherwise explain it.” (11:34) - Asking for help - “It is realizing that if I don't bring that help forward, there is a high likelihood for the receiver, for the audience, for the employee, that it will be a suboptimal outcome. And I should not be so complacent as to believe that a worse version of me alone is better than a little less of me and more of someone else.” (16:18) - What care looks like for Kat - “I am responsible for my care, like full stop. At the same time, I think like most people, I don't know what I need. I just know I feel lost or sad or something in a moment. And maybe the answer is a hug. Maybe the answer is a text of, ‘It will be okay.' Maybe the answer is my husband just saying, ‘What can I do?'” (20:15) - On making mistakes - “The more people get comfortable with things not going perfect or great, the less fearful they will be to make mistakes, and the more likely they will be to lean into something new or unfamiliar or non-traditional.” (26:23) - The worst moment in Kat's career - “They automatically leaped to, ‘You lied. You're just like every other corporate hack. You want to make money off of our backs. You can talk to our lawyers.' And it was a long fall emotionally. And essentially, outside of losing life and losing love, I believe there's nothing worse
Chris Messina has over a hundred thousand followers on Twitter, but he wasn't thinking about that when he accepted a challenge from his partner to be more vocal about his sexual desires, and updated his profile to include a personal goal of giving her more orgasms. Cut to the following day when people were shocked to see that this tech leader credited with inventing the hashtag had posted something so personal in such a public way. But for Chris, this event was a turning point for him in speaking more freely about sex without fear or shame. In this Taboo Tuesday, Chris talks to Dr. Emily about his journey to accepting himself as a sexual being and navigating a world where many people are not comfortable talking about sex openly. Special thanks to the entire Coa crew! JUMP STRAIGHT INTO: (03:01) - Chris's journey to accepting himself as a sexual being - “My process has been one of maybe denying a lot of like my own sexuality and repressing my own sexual desire because I grew up without the ability to trust my sexuality as a man.” (05:49) - Going public about his sex life - “For so much of my life, I thought sex was dangerous. Something I shouldn't want. Something that I should repress. Something that my gender tends to use as a blunt instrument or as a type of force against other people to get power from other people. That's not what I wanted to be.” (11:40) - A new age in sex - “The fact that sex is not simply done anymore just for procreation allows us to actually get into the body and to experience things that are actually biologically driven motivators to get us to reproduce.” (14:42) - Opening up about sex as a society - “I hope in the next 10 to 15 years, these kinds of conversations will lead the next generation to be able to check in with themselves, to be able to say, ‘Is this the right thing for me right now?'” (17:17) - How more men can open up about sex - “The other thing that's really important is checking your own desire for a certain set of outcomes. If you can separate yourself from having any certain thing happen, I think that also is a really good way of cultivating safety.” (22:39) - Chris's taboo question answered - “I would probably spend a lot of time masturbating because I don't have a clitoris or a vagina, and I'm very curious how they work and what it feels like to have one. To have a part of your body that has 8,000 nerve endings just sounds really intense, but also really interesting.”

I went on medication, but I also felt like I had to find an outlet for myself. I started with the dating, and then, at a certain point in time, I had this idea that I really wanted to work on a book.” (5:06) - Going from client work to something more personal - “When I sold this book and I started making it, I realized, ‘Uh-oh, this is all I want to do anymore.' But it's really hard to go to all your clients and be like, ‘Hey, do you want to just hire me for totally different work?'" (09:06) - Talking about therapy - “I will tell any person—like my barista at Starbucks—I'm in therapy. I will tell the world that I'm on SSRIs, because I really attribute being in therapy to everything great that has ever happened to me.” (14:29) - The downside of sharing such personal work - “Sometimes I am questioning myself like, ‘Am I posting this because I want a bunch of strangers to like cheer me up?' And then I'm like, ‘No, that's not why I'm posting it.' But that just so happens to be a side effect.” (21:21) - From Jordan's book “Feel It Out” - “Put your needs first. Don't make yourself small. See a therapist. Compromise, but be sure it's balanced. Never love anyone more than yourself. Don't bury your feelings to avoid confrontation. Take trips without each other. Be open and honest from the beginning.” (28:03) - Misconceptions about therapy - “A lot of people ask me, ‘Wow, do you always know what you're going to talk about? Or do you go to therapy to talk about a specific thing? The answer is no.”

James Beshara, an angel investor and the founder of Tilt, a crowdfunding company acquired by Airbnb in 2017, used to drink seven. cups. of. coffee. a. day—a habit that landed him in the ER with a racing heartbeat of over 170 beats per minute for three weeks straight. That turning point in James's life led him down a rabbit hole of research on coffee, caffeine and alternative ways to boost productivity and heal, a search that included plant medicine. In this Taboo Tuesday, James talks to Dr. Emily about his first experience with psychedelics, and the effect it still has on him today. Staying emotionally fit takes work and repetition. That's why the Emotionally Fit podcast with psychologist Dr. Emily Anhalt delivers short, actionable Emotional Push-Ups every Monday and Thursday to help you build a better practice of mental health, and surprising, funny, and shocking conversations on Taboo Tuesdays - because the things we're most hesitant to talk about are also the most normal. And it was through just this idea that my productivity and my to-do list is just one more stimulant away, one more coffee away, one more energy drink away.” (07:36) - A whole new world of psychedelic healing - “Psychedelics might be really beneficial. They're non-toxic. You can take them once and still see effects a year later, five years later, versus something like Prozac that you would need to take every day.” (15:29) - Trying psychedelics - “I was just like, ‘I'm getting on a river. I don't even care where it goes.' The intention was let's freaking explore, go off the deep end and see what's out there again.” (18:41) - James's first experience with ayahuasca - “Like someone was giving me permission to just be awestruck by everything.” (22:33) - Creating new neural pathways with psychedelics - “The entire experience was, ‘You're going to learn to let go and go into the fear. And right on the other side of the fears is bliss. That is where heaven is, is right on the other side of what you're afraid of.'” (25:43) - Psychedelics aren't a silver bullet fix - “I think what the world really needs is to be empowered to do the long game work. And to know that you didn't come to your pain easily, you're not going to come away from it easily.”

JUMP STRAIGHT INTO: (2:09) - Alex's background and Morning Brew as a side hustle - “At first, I didn't feel like we had enough attraction and I was worried that my overprotective Jewish mom would be pissed that I had left my dream job to go do the Brew.” (7:30) - A complicated relationship with money - “I formed a money obsession. I don't know if it came because I had questions about how well off or not well off are we? Or if it just came because my parents worked on Wall Street, and so business was always talked about.” (10:22) - What happened to Alex after Business Insider acquired Morning Brew for $75 million - “I had all this money in the bank, but I wasn't doing anything. My behaviors didn't change and I didn't feel any happier.” (16:35) - Money doesn't solve every problem - “Selling the company actually didn't change my level of money anxiety at all. If anything, it actually exaggerated it.” (18:10) - Finding new ways to stay motivated - “Money is not going to be the primary driver of my motivation moving forward.” (20:21) - Searching for purpose - “I can get very high level and in my head around these very philosophical questions like, ‘What is my purpose? Am I enjoying the work I'm doing? Do I feel fulfilled right now in this work?' And it actually creates a lot of stress for me.”

JUMP STRAIGHT INTO: (01:20) - Alessandra on being diagnosed with Bipolar 1 Disorder - “It was this juxtaposition of like ‘Wow, I'm finally happy that I know what I am, but I can't share this with the world so I'm going to have to suffer in silence.'” (9:18) - The first time Alessandra talked about mental health in public - “Once the first two questions were done, I was like ‘Okay, this is weird. What do we talk about now?' I was supposed to be holding a town hall for an hour, so I said, ‘I'm Alessandra. I'm Bipolar. Does anyone have any questions on mental health?'” (13:44) - Opening up about her condition in an audition - “I said, ‘I want to thank you so much. I live with Bipolar Disorder and I've never read something on a script, never read words that have affected me so much, that have been said so beautifully.'” (17:32) - What Bipolar Disorder feels like to Alessandra - “I didn't pick the best job for mental illness, but I can't imagine doing anything else. So I think that the drive that I have for the continuing of the rejection is what keeps me going.” (22:08) - Alessandra's fanbase and the special connection between Sci-Fi and mental health - “Every single person that I met at this convention, they shared their stories, their families' stories about mental health, about their journeys, about alcoholism, drug addiction, everything. They're just open beings.” (25:26) - Alessandra's advice for people speaking openly about their mental health struggles - “You have to be ready. You have to have a support system that's behind you because if you get a negative reaction, you need to know that there is someone there that you can talk to about it. To brush it off.”

Special thanks to the entire Coa crew! JUMP STRAIGHT INTO: (02:01) - How ‘This Is Your Life In Silicon Valley' changed Sunil's life and career - “I put up the piece and then 24 hours later it started to get traction. I had never experienced true virality before. This was nuts. This was like almost a million page views in days. It was crazy.” (05:26) - Cue the Anxiety Attacks - “There's a face that you put on for investors. There's a face that you put on for employees. Then there's the face that you try to put on at home. And then there's other parts of you that you just try to compartmentalize here and there. Eventually that can't hold.” (11:12) - Self-stigmatization and why we should be more open about struggling with mental health - “In the process of going through therapy, you say stuff out loud that sounds weird at first. And then you're like ‘Wait a second. This isn't weird. This is who you are. And it's totally okay'.” (15:54) - Addiction and substance abuse - “It's all a spectrum. Pretty much anything that can bring good into our lives, when used incorrectly or in the wrong amount, ends up hurting us.” (17:25) - How going to therapy has helped Sunil - “You do say things out loud about yourself that can kind of feel uncomfortable, but I can now say out loud, ‘I like writing and I like when people read my writing' and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.” (20:58) - The downsides to social media, FOMO and constant comparison - “The feeling of wanting more, rather than owning what you are and being happy with it. It's very different. I still struggle with it.”

We're that next-man-up, share-the-wealth, celebrate-each-other, celebrate-the-small-wins type of team. So I think it's made us take a major step forward in developing our culture as a team.” (19:45) - Kevin on stigmas in the sports world - “I think everybody's going through their own process, and the way that they absorb things or offload things at their own pace, and those are the types of people that I feel for, because in a lot of ways they don't know where to turn.” (27:07) - Kevin's secret to stability - “If I'm having a bad day or having a great day or wherever in between, she can feel that.
