Interview with Victoria Lynch:Victoria Lynch's, Founder of Remi Cachet, career began with a passion for styling hair for friends and family at the age of 14. Her journey started as a young teenager with a small “home salon” where she spent afternoons doing hair post-school. She had a six month waiting list at one time, all appointments taking place in a spare bedroom at her parents home. As her passion evolved, Victoria spent years researching, learning and experimenting with extensions—completing training courses in levels 1, 2 & 3 in hairdressing and taking part in business courses at a local university. Shortly after in 2003, Additional Lengths was born – a depiction of her drive and passion to change the extension industry. Years later, Remi Cachet launched in 2013 to offer high-quality haircare & extensions to the marketplace.Remi Cachet was born from Victoria's 30+ years of experience in the hair industry with accessibility, quality, and sustainability in mind, after discovering a gap in the marketplace for quality and integrity in proper care + high-performing extensions. She spent years growing her education in hairdressing fields, and made it her life mission to discover more efficient ways to install extensions, having access to a wide range of shades, while upholding high standards and ethical sourcing practices. Remi Cachet is now an established, ever-growing business offering multi-award-winning professional quality hair extensions, accessories, styling tools, and aftercare products to service everything from the application to ongoing aftercare and replacement. The brand is on a mission to empower hair extensionists (and consumers) with sustainable, valuable hair solutions that feel natural. With a self-taught, determined mindset, Victoria continues to commit her knowledge and vast resources to drive and expand the extensions + haircare market.Links:https://www.instagram.com/victoriaremicachet/https://www.remicachet.com/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaYdBDPDCYHv-73iyDhJaDO8vdQWKxhV2Sk57VzGlrEG4R-NOvZtyZ2u-zk_aem_JV9-UAtEUeICJqRmqDCJ6A News from TheTease.com: https://www.thetease.com/what-you-dont-expect-from-the-hair-world/https://www.thetease.com/the-naha-2025-finalists-just-dropped/Rate the Look: Jordan Chiles: https://www.instagram.com/p/DGjSBvGx81m/?igsh=MWFrZ2gyeTltYXRoYw== Keke Palmer: https://www.instagram.com/p/DGlXx7VvWD2/?img_index=2 Aisha Dee: https://www.instagram.com/aishtray/p/DGen5qQJOPo/?img_index=1 Florence Pugh: https://www.instagram.com/p/DGWFqWnORNk/?img_index=1 Help Those Impacted By The California Fires:

D&I Activist Shereen Anis Discusses the Changing Standard of Representation in Hollywood

Activist and founder of Representation Counts, Shereen Anis and I have a lot of similarities, we are both first generation North American born children of immigrants from Western and Central Asia. We are both under represented minorities in the film industry, especially Hollywood, but Canada as well and we are both interested in how we can pull away from compartmentalizing our ethnic backgrounds to fit an ideology that wants to put us in specific boxes. An important part of our conversation regarding this topic was to avoid only pointing fingers at White people. They get the brunt of the blame and the fingers pointed at them, but people forget, when you point a finger at someone, you have three pointing back at you. My intent with this interview was to ask the questions from the perspective of WHY we should care instead of browbeating people in saying YOU SHOULD care! It was also more important that with movements like Black Lives Matter being so prominent, figuring out why those of us who are first generation born American/Canadian of families from third world countries can and/or should care because we know what our parents went through in the Old World and how great the suffering continues to be in parts of continental Asia and Africa. Another topic that was significant in my conversation with Ms. Anis was The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announcing new representation and inclusion standards for a film to be deemed eligible for the Oscars. For months now, both onscreen and behind the scenes, people in the media and entertainment industry have called for the inclusion of underrepresented races, genders, sexualities, and abilities. Actor John Boyega called out Disney for pushing aside his character in Star Wars and this past summer, actress Aisha Dee challenged the lack of diversity in the creative team behind the camera on her show The Bold Type. We also discussed why for those of us who have ties to the Old World need to care about representation in film here if we already have thriving film industries in those parts of the world. Hint: Because we were born here and are just as much X Ethnicity as we are American. For more information on Representation Counts, visit their website at www.representationcounts.com.
