Catherine sits down with 4 of her friends from college to talk about how friendships change post-grad life. During the episode they answer: How do you meet friends when you move to a new city or during Covid-19? How do you stay in touch with friends from college? What makes a good and bad friendship? And lastly, in our current society, how do you diversify your friendship and have tough conversations with friends who don't align with your values or morals? The key takeaways from the episode are you need to put in the effort if you want to make friends (and keep friends), stay true to yourself, and in order to be a good friend you need to look inward first. Thanks Maggie, Sarah, Cam, and Jordyn for joining! Resources for educating yourself on the Black Lives Matter movement. Want Catherine to discuss a topic on next month's episode?

Keegan-Michael Key combined his early passion for both theater acting and Bugs Bunny to become the stage and screen presence, and sketch comedy genius, he is today. Not long after COVID-19’s industry shutdown, he chatted with Jack about the state of the biz, training on Second City stages, and where improvisation and scripted writing overlap. “Just figure out how to help solve the problem,” he advises his fellow artists. “All anybody here is thinking about is, how do we make the project the best thing it can be?” The actor-writer is best known for his work on “MadTV” and opposite Jordan Peele on their Emmy-winning variety sketch show “Key and Peele.” Keegan-Michael now hosts National Geographic’s “Brain Games,” and has starred on and Off-Broadway, on “Playing House,” “Friends From College,” in feature films “Keanu,” “The Predator,” “Dolemite Is My Name,” and in countless voiceover roles. This week’s guest is Sandrine Charles, a consultant, publicist, and all-around communications expert who has worked with names like Noah, Aime Leon Dore, Kith, and Daily Paper. Sandrine shares some insight for maintaining steady productivity before an unpredictable future and the ever-present influence of e-commerce and retail therapy. Keep your eyes peeled and ears open for ‘The Dropcast’ which will be back on regular programming next week with a special pitchfest. In the meantime, make sure to catch up on the latest episodes of ‘Vibe Check’ where Jian checks in with guests from the Highsnobiety world to provide glimpses into their lives and how they’re adapting to the global coronavirus pandemic. For Sandrine, shopping doesn’t end with clothing — she’s setting aside time and money ($100 at Whole Foods) for fruits and vegetables and getting extra uses out of her Vitamix (7:26). Sandrine is aiming for comfort inside and out by eating healthy, waking up at five o’clock in alignment with her body clock, and dressing herself in presentable but cozy sweatpants. In between work and seven o’clock Zoom calls, she’s checking off her watch list and catching up on shows (9:51). SC: Yes. Yes. Exactly. I’m rewatching that entire series. I watched High Fidelity yesterday. I also watched Grace and Frankie. I watched Friends From College. I’m definitely diving into… Oh, Living Single, the whole series. Family Matters, the whole series, and then a couple of movies. So I’m keeping myself busy in between. And even in the office, we always have something in the background, so I’m keeping it as normal as possible.

On this week's episode of Kickin' & Streamin' Podcast, Graham & Jocelyn discuss how Netflix has arbitrarily canceled some of its greatest original shows. The two co-hosts focus specifically on 5 original series which the streaming platform has either canceled, or announced it will not renew for another season. We begin by lamenting the cancellation of Tuca & Bertie, starring Tiffany Haddish, Steven Yeun, and Ali Wong, after a one season run. Next Jocelyn & Graham moved on to one cancellation which has hurt them the most; which happened about two weeks ago when Netflix announced it would not renew The OA for a third season. The OA is very special to our podcast and if you're a new follower, you can find our special episode "Deciphering The OA" which is episode 13. Jocelyn has been a vocal supporter of The OA on Instragram as she spearheaded a #SaveTheOA campaign which has been joined by several thousands of Instagram followers. The conversation continued on to the cancellation of Friends From College, a fantastic little comedy starring Keegan Michael Key, Fred Savage, Billy Eichner, Annie Parisse, and Cobie Smulders (Robin from HIMYM). Next we talked about the cancellation of the show One Day At A Time; which was revived as a Latin family with Rita Moreno as the coolest Abuela in the world, Justina Machado as a single mother and war veteran raising a family while dealing with the wounds of war. Jocelyn & Graham expressed their relief as they learned the show was picked up by Pop TV. The last cancellation was that of Jessica Jones. Jocelyn theorized the cancellation of all the Netflix's Marvel shows might well be the streaming platform anticipating it might be forced to give up the rights to those series once Disney Plus is up and running. Graham loves Jessica Jones, like he really loves Jessica Jones. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/rss/kickinandstreaminpodcast?auth=QVLr3ZF4bBkffNZls4lBWTuUc2Tb0MD0)

Also, our review of Akira & Spirited Away, our thoughts on season two of Friends From College, and cereal etiquette. TV: The Book co-author and Law & Order Fantasy Draft winner Alan Sepinwall is back to talk about Season 7 of Game Of Thrones. Should the show be moving faster, plotwise? Who's going to end up "winning" when all is said and done? Which characters are human memes? And is Ed Sheeran a big baby for deleting his Twitter? After considering these questions, we went Around The Dial with The Challenge, Friends From College, and Ozark before picking off another Canon submission with Justified's "Decoy." Talented (future) parents were our winners, The Biggest Loser was...well, that, and we played with perceptions of opening-credits fame in a hotly contested Game Time. Make sure you pick a rubber mask with holes for your earbuds: it's an all-new Extra Hot Great. TOPICS Lead Topic:
