Ja gut, was sind schon heutzutage 5 Milliarden?

As TCKs (and adults) work through the complex issues of identity, place and belonging, it can be really hard to express what's going on inside. We may need an expanded vocabulary. We may need permission to be outside of prescribed standards. “When we use creativity and tell our stories in creative ways, it opens up a different way of processing. It helps us to get past the expectations we have for ourselves.” In this episode we talk about How telling their own stories helps TCKs connect with others; Why practicing telling their own stories is important even for families who are great communicators; The critical life skills built through interacting with the arts; and more. RESOURCES mentioned in the episode: Check out the monthly interactive online Art Party for little global learners. It's perfect for ages 4-10 and it's a ton of fun! Starlight Thursdays 52! This marks one year of amazing weekly mixes made by Montana based DJs In this episode BK Love shares a live set recorded at Art Party. This mix is entirely composed of tracks from local Montana producers. About the Mix by BK Love I’ve been hosting this mix with the help of CMO for the last year now. It’s been an amazing journey. At this point we’ve communicated with over 33 DJs to push their mixes therefore pushing the sound of our state’s scene to the world. I knew I had to do something different for episode 52. When the idea came to me, I wasn’t sure I had the time to pull it off. I did a post on FB asking for local producers to send me their tracks and was blown away by the amount of responses I received. After a few days of collecting responses I found myself with over 150 tracks. The quality of the music coming out of MT is very impressive and inspiring. This certainly won’t be my last Made in Montana set. In this mix you’ll hear tracks from Mike Stolin, TESSUB, Chauz Manuel, Mister Spicy, Kalub Swirvin, Kris Moon, Carr Tell, SAGANIST, and G2T. Huge thanks to all the artists for producing music that changes our lives. Shout out to Brian Thabault for sending me tons of tracks from their label Tri Music Group. Although my DJ style takes me down a road of mashing up multiple tracks on the fly I encourage listening to the originals and downloading them to be part of your collection. Much Love, hope you enjoy. Made in MT mix Track list. Do you like to party? So do many artists! And some even make art because of it! In this episode, John and JJ focus on artists who used sex, drugs, and poetry to create some great work. We focus on the Beat Generation with characters such as Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and William Burroughs, who could drink us all under the table. Is drinking and drug use conducive to creativity? Today’s episode of The Art of Paid Traffic is part 2 in our mini-series on how local businesses can use Facebook ads to grow their business. Even if you’re not a local business owner, I know you’ll take away some awesome insights from today’s episode with local business owner (and FB ADvantage student) David Brandt. David and his wife own Sips n Splatters Art Parties. They have multiple brick-and-mortar locations in Southern Illinois where people can come to enjoy wine and painting with family and friends. They also recently expanded their business model to include franchise opportunities and online courses. During the episode, David walks us through the evolution of his business as it relates to advertising on Facebook. It was super interesting to hear his story! We talk all about the exact steps he took to shift his marketing strategy when, a few summers ago, Facebook made a huge change to its algorithm which meant only 2-4% of your Facebook fans saw your posts. Get ready to hear some great insights, tips and strategies as we cover all the details of basically every marketing move he made from the very beginning in his business, to get him where he is today. In this episode you’ll learn: How David spent just $5/day on Facebook Ads to significantly boost sales when people stopped walking through his door The strategy David used to make over $4,000 in revenue while spending only $300 on Facebook ads. Why some businesses struggle to track ROI with Facebook Ads, plus how David “hacked the system” to start accurately tracking his own ROI Why you should target your competitors’ fans The solution Facebook offers to help you quickly produce video ads and get more clicks on your videos The specific types of Facebook Ads and paid traffic strategies David has used to see massive results (HINT: he’s crushing it with video!) How specific ad types and paid traffic strategies have impacted David’s profits Specific steps to film great/simple videos for your ads using your smartphone And a lot more…
Troy Gronsdahl, Remai Modern curator of Live events, discusses LUGO, the gallery's art party whose seventh edition will be taking place Saturday, April 16th at Obrian's Event Centre.
Famous for his letter to Michael Gove, the artist Bob and Roberta Smith RA talks about the value of art in the school curriculum and the importance of visual communication since the beginning of civilisation. Bob and Roberta Smith RA founded the Art Party in 2013, a non-political organisation established to defend creativity and arts education. In this talk, the artist discusses the human experience of “making you mark” and “having your mark reproduced”. He believes in the importance of “things being graphic” and is willing to fight for art’s survival in the world today.
In the 1990s, Portland's Dada Ball was the stuff of legends. An unorthodox gala thrown each year by the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA), the ball was as debaucherous as it was provocative. It happened everywhere from abandoned warehouses to Oaks Park, and brought together an amazing cross section of artists, eccentrics, and counter-culture creatives. This year, to mark its 20th anniversary, PICA is bringing the Dada Ball back on March 16 at the Southeast warehouse space The Redd. They're combining it with their annual gala, TaDa, and calling it TaDaDa – and the now veteran arts organization is hoping it'll be like no fundraiser you've ever attended. In place of an auction, ticket holders can whack their way through an enchanted forest of piñatas stuffed with original art works and gorge themselves at a bacchanalian feast prepared by six different chefs. The evening will also feature the Bizarre Bazaar, an adults-only twist on classic carnival games (think vape toss). At 9pm the doors open to the public for a raucous after party, with music by White Hinterland, DJ Beyonda, and more.To commemorate the event, State of Wonder producer Aaron Scott put together this oral history.Read our full story:

Helen's brought the statue to life as part of a Talking Statues initiative, where 35 statues in London and Manchester will tell their own stories. It's being released in cinemas this Thursday - the same day as this year's GCSE results - and Bob & Roberta explains why.
