AJ and Rhys return to recap a crazy week of rugby league which saw the Bears return to the competition and comebacks galore in our great code of the NRL. We also saw a ruthless side put up the highest total of the regular season so far AND an onslaught of trainers spraying water on footys become big news.On the show today we look at Isaiya Katoa's rapid rise, theEels blowing a golden chance to move off the bottom of the ladder, Newcastle blowing another winnable game, Klese Haas proving that he has something against the Knights. We also look at the Broncos struggles and the rise of Keaon the Middle, the “weak-gutted dog” has the last laugh in the capital… AGAIN! While Canberra are left to rue another winnable game. We go to the Gong where AJ rips on the Dragons game management in the clutch with all eyes firmly set on the half that has escaped the axe so far in Kyle Flanagan. The Wahs show their muscle up front although we question what happens to their bench when JFH return. Our late game saw a 30-30 draw between the Cowboys and Penrith where Blaize Talagi had a coming out party to remember! As well as look at the controversial ref call and the calls to calm down Panthers nation. Sunday saw the Tigers repeat a 24 year first and concede 64 points in Melbourne as Papi goes bananas. We conclude with a Billy Burns masterclass against Manly as the Sea Eagles face the wrath of DCE!

The peripatetic Mr. Wooding led bands in New York in the early 1920's, but left in 1925 to begin a world tour touching Berlin, Paris, Moscow, Scandinavia and even Argentina for the next ten years. His group (which initially accompanied the show Chocolate Dandies) was highly influential on the European jazz scene, bringing authentic African-American hot dance band rhythms and solos to a new audience. These recordings feature Bobby Martin, Doc Cheatham and Harry Cooper on trumpets, Al Wynn and Billy Burns on trombones, Willie Lewis, Jerry Blake, Ralph Jones and Gene Sedric on reeds, Freddy Johnson on piano, John Mitchell on banjo and guitar, King Edwards and June Cole on tuba and bass, Ted Fields on drums and virtually everyone singing. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/john-clark49/support

Ireland's Six Nations campaign, of course, got off to a losing start on Sunday and we're here to look at the 21-16 defeat in Wales. We discuss the big Craig Kimbrel trade. For Kimbrel, this means more opportunities, because the team is better. On the downside, you have Joaquin Benoit, who loses the closer gig. Bummer for fantasy owners who have him. We then discuss the implications to the Braves lineup. Todd likes Eric Young Jr… EY may not have proven much in the past, but he’ll have the opportunity and he’s fast. Is Devon Travis worth talking about? We thought so. He’s got a bit of speed. If you want someone who might be a little better and also have speed, Micah Johnson, is a name you want to look out for. Speaking of middle infielders, the ghost of Christmas past, Dan Uggla, has a shot at playing time with Anthony Rendon on the shelf. In one category name guys, I sorta love Billy Burns. He made the squad and might run into a few steals. We end up with a chat about some up and coming young guns. Aaron Sanchez and Daniel Norris. I’m super skeptical because Daniel Norris lives in a van. But Todd has made a bold prediction on the guy. 180 IPs, 190 Ks? Warum nicht! He has stuff. We’re blowing up on the Twitter @2020Allstars.
